I did have a bit of trouble with Fyonna, however once she started transforming it became easy mode so I am not sure why you would have trouble in that part. Ele focus is really nice though for Fyonna since all her attacks are projectiles though.
Because her attacks were taking like 30% of my health I am just pistolwhip spamming with Signet of Malice, but some attacks still got through, which killed me
Thanks for all the advice guys. I’ve been mulling over what you’ve all said and I’m gonna probably try AC p3, then TA up, and possibly CM p3. Those seem like the most attainable in the near future. I’ll post my progress when I attempt one of them (probably not until tomorrow.) I’ll see about getting a video of all/part of one of the runs.
CM p3 is easymode for a thief (video). Its possible on warrior too, but it makes even the skippings a lot more of a pain in the kitten .
( Did I mention you can afk the first boss after the adds are dead, and the last boss? )

Don’t expect anything.
If they really are working on something, its probably the new season of living hell.
I dont think we will get any content that wont dissappear after 4 weeks, and every 6 months a new map. And that map will be dead when that living story ends (look at southsun, bazaar)
Twilight Arbor up was the first one I did (ele) and it was generally really easy so you should probably try that. Hardest part was honestly the single silver mob (and his champ bodyguard but he was just an hp sponge) right before the nightmare tree.
Fyonna wasn’t a pain in the kitten for you at all? She was by far the most difficult part of TA up imo.
I have been able to solo the whole path on my thief, except for Fyonna…
When I was going for my first FULL solo up, I had to stop there after 10x dying when she transformed
For Tazza, you can circle, but the instant you step/evade into or past her model by accident, she resets. In any case, you can’t avoid any of her attacks by moving so you may as well just stand right in front of her.
So just like, face-tank her without dodging? ^^
Would pulling her in a corner to dodge into, and lots of healing power with healing siggy (and other defensive utilities) be enough to stay alive?

Quick update: there’s a fix planned for a future update, but I can’t give an ETA on when it will be rolled out to Live.
Well then, I suppose I was wrong there. Too bad we had the same reaction as a few months ago, and they still dont know how to change “+” and “-” signs. If its truly as simple as we all think it is, the eta for this should be pretty soon, since its 1 minute of coding. You know what, give me the code and ill fix it for you! I won’t charge you anything and nothing will be copywrited, profit for everyone!

How do we know for sure that is all the problem was?
If its not the tooltip that switched “-” to “+”, then its in the code that has “+” instead of “-”.
Damage calculation in the coding should be something like this:
Damage taken = weapon damage + bonuses + this + that + x + insert potion here
*note this is probably not the formula, but this is how maths work
Lets say the tooltip is right and we should be taking LESS damage, all that needs to be done is changing “……………. + insert potion here” to “……………. – insert potion here”
So whatever it is thats bugged, its probably just changing the sign

The best runes for a roaming d/d or d/p thief out there.

Same +crit Damage, but a LOT more power and a bit prec
In terms of damage, ruby orbs would be better, although the small boost to other stats is ok I guess…

I did not test if the “normal entrance” of that hidden room still teleports you back while giving you might&protection for 15 minutes, so you might wanna check that yoruself. Tomorrow I’ll be able to test again and record if I find anything
Regarding the p1 solo run, theres a vid somewhere in this forum of a warrior doing Bloody Victoria solo. Im sure its still possible on thief as well, although it would stress the hell out of you. The first boss and endboss are still afk-able (even though they removed the house) and I might record it someday.
If there is a pile of bugs that are on the lowest priority for anet, everything but living story is located in a bonfire about 10 miles away from that stack.

@OP, eleshazar is actually right, although I understand your frustrations, dont expect any fixes on this anywhere soon. I’d recommend you contacting support, provide some screenshots and ask for a free modelling change.
If pistol dagger skill 3 allows a thief to teleport around like so in my recording, then I’m wrong and it’s not a hack, just a very very cheap way to harass someone.
Since I don’t have a thief, I can’t confirm that build.
definately p/d build. Maybe you should check profession mechanics up first before you call people hackers/cheaters.
Well i took your advice and got the story mode done on my thiefy. Now soloing p3 and selling the last 4 spots.
:D you can afk on the rock behind the boss (where you see me /cheering) when you have the boss low. (you can even hit him without him able to hit you, yay afk fight)
I hope they wont be making any more games.
After all this time in BugWars2 it feels like they are stealing our money.

I clicked wondering how you would do Wahlen. I had no idea his projectiles were reflectable like that! Are you able to pick up the guns after the turrets are destroyed?
Nope they dissapear. So be sure to keep holding it, and aggro Wahlen only!
Wahlen is still possible even without the gun, but much slower (see the 20k hits?)
If you keep at max range all of his projectiles are easily dodgable by just strafing left-right when you see his animation when he’s about to throw a grenade. This way its still possible to kill him in ~5-10 minutes

Ive made my mistake of buying this game, and they wont get any more money from me until they learn how to push builds with more fixes than bugs.
Theres alot of bugs that exist since launch that hasnt been fixed yet. But hey, at least we can play new (temporary) bugged content every 2 weeks with the bugged stuff we already have. So thats nice.

The “check your internet connection thing” is just a standard message your client puts out when it cannot access the server for some reason.
That doesnt mean it shouldnt include an possible error made on anets side.
For noobs that dont know anything, when they get this message they will immediately start thinking their home internet is down/broken, while in 90% of all cases, its on ANETS side.
They shouldnt leave themselves out of this kind of messages.

Funny how this is happening after a hotpatch

Okay here’s the deal.
After the hotpatch (which also opened the new map) I was able to log into Lions Arch.
I thought, well lets take a look at the new map, so I clicked “go to the map” or something like that, in the WvW UI.
The loading screen popped up, it kept loading and loading.

After 5 minutes (which is terribly long, dont tell me I had to wait longer, maps shouldnt be loading that long….) I restarted my game. Was able to log in, the character select popped up.
Then I tried to log back into the same character that got the frozen load last time (standing in LA according to my character screen) and boom.

The error:
Network error.
Please check your internet connection. <error code somethingsomething>
Well. STOP BLAIMING MY INTERNET FOR THIS. Im sick and tired of hearing I should check MY connection while I KNOW its on your side, maybe change this error to “check your internet connection, contact support if this nonsense doesnt go away”
After getting that error code 3 times I tried to enter again, this time getting the “game unable to connect to the login servers” error.
Now I am completely unable to get in, on any char for that matter.
Although its fun to see you guys break your own game, I would love to be able to play anywhere this evening again.

Dont forget to put a rune on your aquabreather. Underwater your headpiece gets replaced, thus not using the rune on you normal headpiece but on the aquabreather

It really depends on what you are doing in PvE.
If you are planning to use it for dungeon speedruns (the real speedruns) Berserker is ALWAYS the way to go.
If you are planning to just do some casual stuff like dungeon runs with random/guild people and not going for records/farming times you can run whatever you want.
In this case, just run what gives you most pleasure, dont ruin your gameplay experience just because others tell you what to run.

Yep. Noticed this as well.
Gets kinda frustrating when doing dungeons and you get minimalized in the middle of a fight.
Most of them (especially the ones that will learn you how to for gold) are with using exploits.
Most of these exploits will probably be fixed in near updates.
The ones that sell these paths without using exploits are mostly players that enjoy doing 5-man content alone for a challange. ( you can also see this as some service “pay me and ill give you this dungeon reward”) Which IMO isnt that wrong to have, as long as the dungeons are still challanging with 5-man parties
Keep in mind that teaching/spreading exploits is against the rules and you will eventually get banned for it. Be patient for fixes, and try to just ignore those lfg’s
Most people aren’t aware the potions are bugged and just believe the tool tip.
Which they SHOULD! I’m not feeling bad for them for not knowing the bug, I’m feeling bad for them that ANET doesnt wanna fix it.
They aren’t reading this, if they were they would say something like “yes this is still on the radar” or “expect it fixed end 2015”. Just some regular responses..

This bug seems to happen to Signet of Agility and Assassin’s Signet only, but shares the cooldown with several other skills when swapped in.
ex: Cast Shadow Refuge so it is on recharge (60 sekittenraited), swap some other utility for SoG/AS and they will start at the same recharge as Shadow Refuge is currently.
This is very annoying when swapping skills right before combat (I can imagine it is hell in WvW/PvP)

The signet has been buffed back in the March patch if I remember correctly.
The signet’s passive (+10 plus one per lvl precision) has been doubled. On level 80 the signet has been buffed from +90 precision to +180 precision. The tooltip however still says the original “10 plus one per lvl”.

So the Signet of Malice signet has been buffed back in the March patch if I remember correctly. The healing should be ~33% more effective.
The 33% has indeed been added although the tooltip did not receive the update.
