So all trash talk aside, my take on these 2 servers

Magumma: To be honest mag has some good blobbing guilds, had some good gvg’s and fights with VR and Ark (before they got interrupted) They also have some decent roamers in Aon even though you guys tend to run in groups far larger then a typical roaming group ( apart from Aon all the mag roaming guilds are terrible, just look at swag lolololol)

FA: Has by far the worst player skill per player of any server ive faced (and i think ive faced everyone but T1 at this point.) Just awful on every level, from large group to small man to solo. I dont think FA is tanking this matchup i just think there so terribad that when they cant zerg down another group 3 to 1 they just get crushed

Just my thoughts on the matchup

Yak’s Bend. FA is terrible, but I have yet to see another server as sad as YB.

Yak’s Bend is definitely a contender. they are pretty awful lol

Those guys who tried to hit mag keeps a couple hours ago and didn’t even destroy any of the siege on outer when their golems broke in before they threw themselves at inner.

LOL, did Mag leave EB to come defend? Mission accomplished.

I was capturing a bloodlust point yesterday, an FA guy came up, we waved at each other, then he took off to go back to his group. It was really nice to see some honor in this matchup. I can’t count how many times myself and an enemy have run past each other and just kept going, since we were on our way to different objectives and didn’t need to interrupt each other.

Interesting definition of “honor”. Some might view the pacifism of you two lovebirds as quite the opposite. After all, as that guy by the portals is so fond of saying the mists needs world defenders, willing to put their lives on the line. I don’t recall him crying out over and over for friendly folks looking to make some friends. You know fighting other players is meant to be the point of this whole thing, right? Actual combat isn’t just an inconvenient delay on the way to the next circle you’re determined to stand in.

I am 99.9% sure you completely missed the point of my post. Maybe you should go take a nap and think on it.

Well, I can tell you, I have run solo, and been steamrolled by 5+ Mag and FA, so it goes all ways. Don’t pretend that you guys are just soloing 20-70 people all over.

You’re an idiot, there’s a difference between every other day of the week and today when we decided to do exactly what you claim we’ve been doing all week. Hell, my post PREDATES the necro zerg running and then there’s the posts I’m referring to which don’t even have the same date. Plz, keep making us laugh, your tears are delicious. It’s just too bad they’ll be so cheap when you play a server with more than half your coverage.

Personally, I would rather stay in the Silver League, the lag already just about kills me. When we transferred to SBI, I think they were #11? Right in the middle, where I like it, not steamrolling other servers, and not getting steamrolled. I would much rather have an overall score with a 1k point difference, it makes people want to come out and play, and makes it more fun.

We transferred from a high PvE server (DH), so we would have better WvW matchups, and SBI fit that bill for us. Our guild leaders scouted different servers for a few weeks before we all made a decision together. But, you can believe what you want, and continue to think of us as hopping on the “band wagon”, it doesn’t matter.

SBI does have a great community, and we are happy.

P.S. Never fear, there are still clams in the water, the quaggans didn’t take them all!

Actually i have noticed this and this is what we see as YB.

We see a decently sized SBI group and decide to defend/siege a tower/keep, if we managed to defend, 2 mins later a group twice the size will come back and wipe us. Same as attacking any structures, beat you guys back once, more seems to just spawn out of no where.

I’m sure SBI is bored with this matchup and any opportunity that they can get to fight, get karma, bags, etc. they will take it. That’s why you are seeing large incoming SBI after the initial engagement.

When you guys wiped us when we first came to try and save Hills, you DID have more numbers than us. We eventually had reinforcements come in, and then you might have been slightly outnumbered by us, but before that? No.

Kain probably had like 2 people on the map therefore no outmanned. There were 2 zergs there, 1 smaller than us and the other was pretty close to the same size. The whole night we had a max of 50 people in our zerg, closer to 30 most of the time.

And we had about 30 in there, total. We did get the outmanned buff, that’s how we knew you guys were planning something, but reinforcements were too late to save Hills.
I am not complaining about you guys being there, I just wondered why you all jumped to your deaths, I got my answer from one nice person. We were looking forward to some fights.

AH okay, I do understand that, we have done the same thing. We really were looking forward to a good battle though, and got pretty stoked when we saw red!!! Too bad it wasn’t earlier in the evening. We can count on YB to come in with numbers, but I am beginning to think Kain is an endangered species.

The problem I have had with Abys thus far is that we will run into an even 5v5 and if we win, your guys call more people in to the point where we are outnumbered by double, then jump on our bodies if we don’t manage to get away. I don’t think it is the entire guild, perhaps just a specific group of trolly members. This was the same type of thing that happened with us and [DERP], as a WvW guild they are great, but the groups roaming solely for the purpose of ganking people and trolling was a big problem for me. Especially considering that we roam in relatively small groups. Sorry if you took offense to that Saiyr.

It might not have been people being called in, but rather the large group headed the same way. If we see swords, we are going to venture to that area, sorry if you are on the trail. I am in TS, and I never hear “HELP, come save me, it’s 5v5!”

Yes, I noticed IoJ laughing, and it confused me, since you were dying. Do you really think we were going to stand there in your AC and cannon fire? If that’s part of your tactics, you might want to rethink them. I remember most of you running back into Garrison and within range of your siege, if you could make it.

Probably ran back into the tower because there was a merchant there.

Also, there were not 40 of us, there were not even 40 [Abys] members online.

All in all though, we did have fun in the open field fight, I have been missing those.

Also, IoJ people, do you remember when we had, what was it, a 2-3 week long matchup (IoJ/DH), and we had like 42 pages? LOL, the good ol’ days.

Yeah, Edge left [Abys] and joined [SE], then moved to IoJ, he is an Asuran commander there.

As for the commander you see “disappearing” from fights, he sometimes dc’s, or the whole group will leave the BL they are in, to go and protect something in EB (some may not leave because they are in combat). They usually only come into the BL’s if we need some serious help, or there is nothing in EB to take.

and the same with SE. We were discussing in depth about transferring months before any of this tournament stuff came to light. SE and Abyss were the forces behind darkhaven world verses world, We were (are) both prime time guilds and when our members started logging off to go to sleep other servers had a field day with our borderlands and keeps in eternal battle grounds. We simply got tired of it and we decided to seek other servers but this apparently makes us traitors and we get bashed for it in lions arch by players and guilds who were absolutely non existent in darkhaven world verses world.

I miss my friends on darkhaven but I dont miss sitting in bay at 3 am staring at 50 invaders rolling through our gates knowing myself and the 2 others that might have been there with me could do absolutely nothing to defend.

I wish darkhaven nothing but the best, Honestly.

I am only speaking for myself here (I am sure other members agree though), but I could care less about PPT, I just wanna open those bags/chests! It’s the gambler in me I suppose.

We chose to leave to find a better WvW server.

Our leaders scouted other servers and talked to them, and decided SBI was the best fit for us. So far, they made a great decision, they have been very welcoming and it is much more organized than DH WvW.

As stated before, DH is a PvE server, and we are more or less a WvW guild, (although we do have a few people who like PvE).

How goes the fight…. I have been asleep for like 8 hours starting from 3:00 PM. It’s 1AM now, if anyone is even on.

We just had some in our BL! Got it back to my favorite color of blue.

Wow, trying to take back S sentry in DH BL, have sentry almost dead, SBI necro shows up, kill her, BP shows up, kill him, then get jumped by 2 more SBI. Wow, if I would have had full health I would have killed you all!

I have to disagree with SBI ignoring us at DH too. Every single time I jump on GW2, there is usually a BP zerg and an SBI zerg (orange sword zerg), while we rock the outmanned buff. Not once have I gotten into WvW this week, and not had a group from each server in DH BL. I have been in the middle of a few 3-way fights.

I don’t remember seeing a post about us “moaning” because we are losing?

Indeed a great fight at bay.

It was actually quite terrifying! We didn’t have the outmanned buff, but we have no idea where the rest of the people were. It was an absolute sea of red out there on the walls!

We were trying to get into the gate unnoticed, trying to run past the people you had guarding the outer gates, etc. (On a side note, I do have to say thank you to both servers, for not zerg chasing down one or two people, and just letting them go on their merry way, don’t see that often, if ever).

We were having some good laughs in TS. For pretty much getting destroyed, I have to say there has been more laughing in TS this week than the previous weeks.

My personal favorite quote from a teammate and I’s conversation yesterday: “Hey, is that BP behind you in the water?” Me: “Gawd, I hope not!” Me: “OMG, that was A LOT of them!” “HAHAHAHA” Nothing like tucking in your tail and wishing you had a bunch more water speed boosts. >.<

We probably won’t get transfers, too expensive to transfer here. :/

We usually pick up during the week also, but who knows anymore.

That gold farming! Ugh.

Well, I heard we won’t get transfers, since we are a full server and it’s really expensive because of that. We have a PvE server. :’(

Is there still another week of that gold farming?

SF, you know how you can gain points, rating and more WxP? Stop chasing our 5 man group around HoD BL, killing us, and take other things? I mean, if I were you, I would have waited for us to at least get that tower door down to 5% or so before attacking, not killing us RIGHT after we get the ram built. >.<

The lack of night coverage, and the new gold farming every hour is killing us. We do what we can when we are on, and can’t expect much else. We have all come to the conclusion that we are a PvE server.

We have had way less open field battles this match-up, unless we are outnumbered 2:1, but we are still having a good time.

We have also been training new commanders, so the one or two that usually command, have been stepping aside so they can have a little break once in a while in the future.

Our guild leader recently left the game to focus on real life stuff, so there has been some rearranging going on in that area too. We miss you Leone!!!

Anyway, keep fighting the good fight! See you on the field (or in a tower, or a keep, or a camp)
