I can not believe that this PINK guild thief from FA is still around and has not been banned. How many times Anet do we have to report that this person is literally getting inside our lowlands keep again and again when all the walls and gates are intact? Where do I go to report this properly so that it will get taken care of? This happened last time we faced FA back in week 3 of the session.

We’re not too happy about the cheaters either. I still think the cheaters are the same person with a couple throw away accounts on each server who decided to just try and stir up crap between us all and cause drama. It’s a little weird that the supply wasting trolls showed up on both servers at the same time, doing the same things, each claiming they were from the other server. It’s probably someone who isn’t from either server and just wanted to mess things up and be a jerk. Sadly Anet is a little slow on banning people we report and there’s no option in the drop down report thing for cheating/trolling.

Well done YB and EB. I think today shows pretty undeniable proof that this is a planned 2v1. And today is the day where YB is gonna spoon feed EB points. I hope you guys know how bad you are making your servers look. I’m thankful that when my server had the opportunity to 2v1 to get in gold everyone shouted no because we wanted to get there on our own merits. Regardless of how this week pans out I’m extremely proud of my server. We may not make 2nd but at least we didn’t need help to get there. =)

Oh my, I just looked at millennium….I would like to think EBay is pulling together to go for 2nd, but after watching YB kill everything in camps last night, then let an EBay or two come in and cap it, I am not so sure. :/

I have read every post in this thread, and been a part of the other threads for a few months now, and I still can’t find the “chest thumping” that keeps being thrown around any more than the other servers are doing it.

We got beat, the end. Going over and over….and over the same things 100 times is not going to change that. Did you see what happened yesterday when some of us pulled together? EBay BL was green. Why we couldn’t do that all week, I have no idea. We need to figure it out as a server, not complain all day on the forums.

Yes, we do know what it’s like to be “zergballed”, we did fight SoR, Mags and SoS not too long ago.

Please don’t claim that EBay and Yaks don’t zerg, that makes you look dumb. There are orange swords all over the map, all the time. I am not saying zerging is wrong, but it’s not only SBI that uses that tactic.

Also, the veteran SBI’ers know about beating people and getting beat, they have been through it all. When we decided to transfer (before leagues were announced) SBI was #11, then moved up to #4 very quickly. Some of the transfers came from upper tiers, so right now it’s kind of a cluster with us trying to work together as a server and everyone having different tactics.

All in all it was one of the most fun weeks I have been a part of. It was nice to have to work for something and have some good open field fights too. [PD] I know you’re out for [Abys] blood, since you seemed to be in every map we were on. You too [SE], although I saw more [PD] out and about.

Keep up the good work SBI, YB and EBay. YB, if you can do this on your own, you’ll be a force to be reckoned with for sure!

This week’s match has proven to be very interesting. It shows that when 2 evenly matched server get paired the 3’d weakest party can be a very effective king maker.

The question is , is this a good thing or bad thing? I see both side of the story. It is good because it gives smaller world a reason to go and play with the big boys. On the other hand it’s bad because the out come of a match up depends more on deals with other servers rather than your own server’s play, it make it into more like a survivor kind of situation.

What do you guys think?

I think it’s another demonstration of how disadvantageous it is to be in the 2nd place position in wvw.

You can see a role-reversal from the prior SBI/YB matchup timeline (http://mos.millenium.org/servers/view/40/119) which shows the same phenomenon.

The contributing factors are not hard to see for people with wvw experience.

1. The first place server is only threatened by the 2nd place server. This makes it more profitable for the first place server to take the 2nd place server’s structures (because it widens the gap more than taking territory from 3rd).

2. The third place server plays smartest when it attacks the 2nd place server for two reasons:
a. Taking structures from 2nd narrows the gap between 2nd and 3rd most, which makes it more likely for 3rd to catch up.
b. The 2nd place server typically has fewer numbers and worse upgrades (especially waypoints), so its structures are easier to capture than 1st.

In response to those factors, it’s hard to rally your players to show up to fight an uphill battle.

ANet could do more to make it fun and rewarding to play while in 2nd place, but a comeback from 2nd to 1st is terribly difficult as it stands.

In our prior face-off, SBI came out incredibly strong on reset night and YB’s morale was low after getting roflstomped by FA. Additionally, SBI gave us a real education on the value of capping-for-the-tick.

In this match, YB played a stronger reset night and rallied in response to SBI’s monday-morning counteroffensive.

Indeed and you guys have played it well. I think most people expected this to be a faceroll match where they could just ktrain the week away and to their dismay YB and Ebay came out in force and brought their A game. It has been a great weeks for fights, and I’ve been having fun in EB trying to keep our camps

Actually I think most of the dedicated wvw peeps on SBI are having a blast this week. Hardly any queue if one at all and darn good fights all around.

After watching millennium, and knowing YB got the PD transfer since we last fought them, I knew it wouldn’t be a karma train week.

We might be getting our you know what handed to us, but the last few days have been awesome. It’s not fun when you have to scour the map just just find an enemy, or waiting patiently while another server takes a tower so you can back cap.

I hope our server learned this week that not all servers are just going to roll over and give up. We need to work on our play style, and maybe get some more people to get some commander training.
Speaking of which, props to the few commanders who are willing to tag up this week, even though you can only get 10-15 people to follow you. It’s frustrating to me, I can’t imagine how it is for you.

But isn’t that what makes it fun? Defending or attacking wave after wave. I was part of the softening waves and had tons of fun, even though the final take was after I logged. For a brief moment we thought we had a chance try 1. Then the reinforcements came, which actually made it more fun in the end. I think it was probably fun for your side as well.

Fun for sure, last night was super fun! I just didn’t appreciate the kitteniness of the post. Like it only took one try to get.

If you really want to stretch it: SBI has way more casuals than anybody else that gladly jump on the bandwagon for wins but duck out by the week if they’re losing – especially if they have anything better to do. In which case be proud: your server is the most fickle server in terms of extremes.

It’s been an intense week, and SBI is definitely worthy of their position on the ladder… but its like SBI is insulted to be losing to YB… and no one respects a garbage attitude like that.

Unfortunately, I believe that to be true. I wish we could get people to show up, because that would make this week amazing, instead of just fun. Imagine if we were all fielding the same numbers at the same time, and our PPT was 1-5k apart? I know that with the unbalance on the servers that will probably never happen, but in the old days, those were always the best matchups.

Because this was one of closest matchups for WvW for silver and it could have gone either way for who is taking first place (SBI or YB). But someone confirmed in Bags decided to hop on over to grief on YB. I don’t know if the trolls on SBI are from YB, it could be either a false flag from SBI, actual YB, or even Ebay trying to get in on the drama.

All three servers needs to get in line and put an end to this crap in WvW.

What’s not to hate? The arrogance on the forums, the underhanded tactics, the constant spamming /laugh when you roll over a group 1/3 your size, your inability to attack anything without blobbing en masse and your constant whining and excuses on the forums when you face some real competition outside of FA (admittedly not everyone but enough that the overall impression is a bunch of 14 year olds).

Your server gives off such a kittenty impression that I was genuinely surprised when I lost a 1v1 earlier (both of us downed one another) and got a /bow. A rare gem in a sea of arrogance.

Just to put my two cents in:

Ever since they put in the build/supply achievements in WvW, I have seen more ballistas in one spot than I have since I started playing. In fact, when we were on DH, the guy with the #1 achievement spot (Yellow Robot or something) for DH was in every camp, and every keep building ballistas, all week. We had 28 ballistas by the NE supply shed in Garrison.

Is it possible that one of YOUR people is trying to finish the season achievements and doing this to you, and to keep the heat off of him, he says he is trolling you? I can’t explain the ruining of golems, but pugs take off in them all the time, omegas are fun, and it’s messed up.

We had a guy in our TS reset night who had to be kicked because he wasn’t part of SBI.

I have never understood all the hate against SBI, please explain.

What happens is that people who are brave because they have a zerg at their back continue to pursue and tunnel vision so badly that they don’t realize that their zerg is no longer with them and then they die.

This happens a lot to them because they are generally not aware of their surroundings. Do you honestly think I’m going to respect or give anyone a fair fight right after they just chased us across the map with 40 people?

And, I’m not arguing for fair fights. I don’t mind challenging fights as long as they are manageable. Being outnumbered is fine. Being ridiculously outnumbered is not. We were fighting 20 with 10 at that camp several times. Each time, they called for help and 30 more came.

I’ll never understand people who play a competitive game that try to remove the competition aspect from the game.

This weekend has had the shortest queues I have ever seen in WvW, and last night only our BL and EB had a queue, which was 1-5 minutes.

I have no idea what’s going on, although some of our guild is out of town for Thanksgiving, so that could be part of the reason.

Personally, I am liking the resistance we have found, we have had it really easy for weeks, and we needed a challenge before we go against kittenain. I haven’t seen this many bags in a while either, and got myself some new armor last night, as well as an axe.

I do see that as keeping a camp, and chasing you away from the tower we had in your BL. It was also keeping some supplies from going into your Bay that we were trebbing. Now, maybe if the whole zerg chased you through the ruins to SE tower, I could see your point, but that didn’t happen, why exactly are you complaining? I love that as soon as you have fewer numbers behind you, you turn and fight though.

Early daytime is a low coverage time for SBI, I think it always has been. And yea the fact that its friday and the match has been decided probably plays a role. Though “spoiler alert” SBI is obessed with EB and some of you may recall we used to let everything but EB go no matter what. I think the native SBI players that have been here since launch still have mindset.

It wasnt till guilds like Abys, Beast, and Hero transferred that our borderlands started to get some love. Big thanks to those guys to coming over to help us be a competitive server. I may be wrong about Abys they may have been here all along, I forget. Also big thanks to guild like TE for sticking around even during the slow days to help keep us competitive.

We came over about two months ago, and have always been a borderland guild, we feel it’s more important than EB. Besides that, there is no way we would all get in anyway, and we prefer to run as a group.

Thanks to DB and BP for sticking it out all week against a higher populated WvW server. In my opinion, we had better fights with you guys and gals this week than we have had since we fought FA.

Extra shout out to [Lost], and the fights last night. Thanks for skirmishing with us, it helped us get back on track to fighting the better guild groups we will face down the road, we were getting rusty.

P.S. SHOUT OUT TO TEVERIE FOR THROWING JUNK IN THE MYSTIC FORGE AND GETTING THE LEGEND!

Edit: Watching the video, and I will tell you why “we” don’t take BP’s wp’ed keep in EB…..It’s because we are too big of a guild to go to EB, and you will VERY rarely see us in there.

Had a fun fight with SBI at the CD bay tonight. The fight lasted about 40 minutes and, although we were eventually bested, it was one of the best fights I have had the pleasure of fighting being a part of in a long time.

Good fighting SBI, it was an excellent fight on both sides.

It was super fun! Best fight I have been a part of this whole matchup! Thanks for coming back, I know I had to run from spawn four times, so I hope the bags flowed for everyone. Not sure why BP stayed outside and didn’t want to play though.

I’m pretty sure SBI will come in first in this league. We were able to put up a decent fight against FA for a bit, but holy crap you guys have a lot of people. It’s yet to be seen whether or not you can beat FA as far as their organization goes, but you definitely have the manpower to take them on. It should be a really interesting fight either way, I just hope we don’t get stuck in that matchup against you 2.

The problem with that is if SBI beats FA in the final week it will only tie for first. Granted this is assuming victory for all until the final matchup.

Wonder how Anet will handle that one.

My guess would be head to head winner would take the first prize. If they each took one win over each other, I would guess total points. What should really be the deciding factor is total enemies killed… take PvD completely out of the picture.

I wonder how a FA/SBI/YB matchup would go? I think it would be much closer than this week. What do you guys think?

Had a couple of decent scraps last night against SBI and Yak’s Bend, particularly in EB and IoJBL. Some very fun engagements. My guild and I also had some interesting scraps in YBBL. Good times, and I’d like to thank everyone who fought us.

I’d also like to extend my personal hatred/thanks/something something to the player who died to my guildie and dropped Dawn for him. Yes. It happened.

It was the same with us the last couple weeks, we would have a queued map, but way less people than who we were against. Then 20 minutes after an EBG group left, we would all be able to get in. It seems like there is some sort of lag, and 20 minutes is a long time in WvW, you can lose a lot.

I don’t see any way for things to be even either, unless we all fight the same servers week after week, and everyone gets bored of that. :/

There are a lot of people just trying to get their daily’s done also, which would explain people being in each borderland. I know when I logged in tonight, there was maybe 2 towers to cap and a couple camps (I don’t do EB), so we were all over.

Thanks to the Ebay thief and Engi for the duels outside NSP SW camp. Was fun!

The real crime happening in this pic is the loss of our JP. Don’t try to bog down the real issues with your need to address hypocrisy while poor SBI achievement hunters go without.
