I have not tried the new one yet so I cant comment on it. The Clock tower however took me several days to get. The first day I was so angry, I almost broke my mouse. I finally had to stop and take a karma break because I would have thrown my mouse through the window.

The second day I was getting better. I had a cooler head so it made it easier to focus on what I was doing but I just could not get through the last parts. That sideways cog……..@#$%

The third day is when things started to come together. I got past that @#$%&!* cog and after several more tries, I made it.

It was the happiest moment since I started playing GW2. The fact that is was so hard that I just could not stand it, is what makes it so great. While having an easy jumping puzzles is nice, I think that doing the hard ones and really working at it to figure it out and then finally completing them really gives you a new sense of accomplishment. I would gladly do another Mad king jumping puzzle just to have that feeling again. In this sense, I can understand what the original poster was trying to say.

Account Bound Mini's?

(Warning ahead of time, Sorry if its long winded and sounds like a temper tantrum but this is a serious complaint I have and I just cant keep it to myself.)

Please explain to me why the new mini’s are account bound? Why in the world would you do this? I am spending real money, to get minis I cant sell or trade. Not to mention if I get more than one of the same mini, wth am I supposed to do with it? This makes no logical sense. I can understand making the special mini (The Quaggan one) account bound because you have to trade three for it but once you have it, what do you do with the extra mini’s? I can’t sell them! Cant even give them away. I don’t need them for my other character’s.

Also, what if its nearing the end of the event and there is one or more minis I just cant seem to get. Am I supposed to spend my life savings and hope I dont get any more duplicates and just maybe be super lucky to get the ones I need? You wont allow me to buy the missing ones from TP. Is this your new marketing ploy. Making items impossible to get without spending real money or converting my in game money into gems.

I hardly ever have more than 5 gold at anyone time so I get to trade that in for what, 250 gems. I can only get two gifts with that and that is hours of hard work. I can’t earn it like others by doing dungeons and such because I have no friends who want to play the game and guild is hardly ever on. While that is unrelated and mostly my problem, it is just sickening to me that this is how you work with paying customer. I have spent so much real money on gems and it always worked out because I could sell the items I cant use or the mini’s already have. Now, you have taken that away. Its not worth spending my hard earned money for items I cant trade or sell. Its just sickening.

What was the point to removing the Mad King fight? It was the only thing I was enjoying during the event. I thought I had more time to play it. I would not have stopped if I had known this ahead of time.

I have to agree with some of this. The rare items are sometimes so rare that it impossible to get. Having a week or two to get them, not to mention it requires either spending real work cash or lots of in game money just to open one chest, makes it nearly impossible for the true collectors like me to get it. I will admit that I paid for a but load of gems to try and get these skins. I opened 41 Black Lion Chests (thats including the bonus keys I got from opening) and I did not receive a single skin. I then used all the boosts I got from those chests to make the Mad Kind Chests for the “2nd Chance” and must have made about 30 or so. Same result, nothing.

Its is rather sickening to open so many chests (at least $50 worth of keys) to get nothing but things I have no use for or have too much of already. I cant help but recall the “Super” Rare Mini Pets that no normal collector in GW1 could get. The Mini Polar Bear is a great example. I cant remember how many times I ran through that dungeon to get the Bear and only receive Ale’s. In fact, I did not know a single person who ever got one from the drop.

In this case its different. It just kills me that even collectors like me, who spent real money cant even get one of the skins from opening 41 chests and to which is probably set to drop at a rate of less that 1%. I don’t have 25-50 gold to spend in the TP to get a single skin unlike the super players who don’t have jobs and spend hours running the dungeons. The players have huge amounts of cash to their name and don’t care how much hey spend to get the item.

I wont deny that its supposed to be a gamble but to spend so much money and not receive one skin, come on, that is just insane.
