Yeah i think the same. WvW servers and players should be different than the PVE ones. But it will be too difficult to change this from now.

I think it could be fixed in some way. For example make it into a format like Spvp servers, where you chose which server you want to join, and there would be borderlands, red green and blue with the EB and basically it would have to tally how many can join each given match, set a defined balance for all 3 instances of the borderlands, and you would basically win given on the amount of PPT you helped accumulate and wxp during the capture of given things.

In the end you could also make it so that when a server is full, the next one is available and etc, and the last servers with less people would also be balanced even if it was only 30 in those servers, heck you could even make it so that the WvW matches reset every time one side dominates the other completely… This is starting to sound like Spvp now >.> grabs tin foil hat

This right here, lol if the PvE community cared for it’s WvW counterpart more people would rear their heads into the WvW borderlands, but no, constantly I find massive PvE communities and just because you WvW doesn’t mean you don’t step out of WvW, it means you enjoy fight, you enjoy putting yourself to the test against others. “But narsil that’s why there is Spvp, why not just go there.”. Because Spvp doesn’t allow me to use the armor I have gained, doesn’t allow me to try out different builds i might want to try with food buffs to compensate for my lack of one area and etc.

Now for you math lovers out there here is a small proof. PvE leads to WvW, but WvW doesn’t lead to PvE necessarily. Since the prior is needed for the latter, it is essential that you first PvE to get the gear , stats you want, and then you go into WvW to use those items. You wont succeed, and even if you do it won’t be optimal to grind your gear and levels and stats solely on WvW, it just would hinder your progression.

So why should we the WvWers care for the Pvers if they don’t care for us. So we grind daily the zergfest, capture points, gain wxp so that a PvEr can get that 10% stat boost, but in what do PvErs exactly benefit us back? aside from waving their newly obtained Twilight and their completionist title or etc.. Im not hating on you if you do achieve that, what i am getting at is that there is a community that gives up part of is time to get those WvW points, meanwhile the other spends it on selfish needs such as skins, armor, gold etc..

Saying WvWers are just selfish and shallow for the reasons they WvW (e.g. Self satisfaction, gratification of the fight) is just as well saying that PvErs aren’t selfish, how about you give me some of your gold you farm in PvE to compensate for my time in WVW.

Right now my server has lost a ton of people, some in Teq, soem for GTA V, some because of bloodlust… WvW is my realm atm, pve doesn’t intrigue me, every patch is another carrot, here this new back item, this new sword skin. Atm am not interested in ascended, even if later on it does make it impossible for me to roam anymore, but i live for the thrill of the fight!

^ Exactly its fun when you play a match and its so close and its anyone’s game. I hate it when the mentality is burst it down or just win with numbers, or overpower. A true match of pleasure is when you toy with your opponents, but you play with fire and you know any mistake can be the last. For me (my opinion) a match with someone of equal possibilities and winning by strategy and winning not by just overpowering but by having a constant back and forth fight can make it worthwhile. It can be satisfying knowing out of the two you succeeded. When its one side wrecking the other by sheer burst of numbers or etc and no competition it makes the game boring.

Deovn Carter said they will make “Changes” to the system and will announce sometime soon. People were petitioning 4 leagues of 6 and they said “might” but i wouldn’t get hopes up yet. As for having to jump ship and xfer to the winning server. This is exactly why it is stupid, basically if you want to win, mass pile in one server and take that server to victory because no one wants to play fair.

Not only that even if every player stayed loyal to their home server, the matches will still be outrageously unbalanced. Picture FC vs Yaks Bend , storm bluff isle or Borlis Pass. Lol 400+ PPT for them all week.

Instead of making the WvW fun for all and balancing out the matches this is just gonna be ludicrous. Which is why during those days we are heavily out-manned, I wont even bother to play WvW. I will just not care and not show support for Anet in any way or form and this whole Esport crap will be a failure. I will want to see it bomb and backfire.

lol, I actually never read that post, I just think we would be better together then split in my own opinion and others may agree or not. We have teamspeak3 server very org. open to all players of ET, a free home for all of ET, Cross channel communication through commanders and scouts. I am shouting out to all Hardcore WvW players that live in WvW like some of us, I give you props for loyalty to your server but you could always see it as a football season transfer over for the 7 weeks head back to your home server after season is over, you can always do pve on home server, the fact that we are fighting every server rank 13-24 is going to be the tough thing that we going to need to adapt to because the servers under rank 20 are going to be the tough thing for ET/FC/DR just because they going to have more coverage then all our servers put together, I usually wouldn’t say lets join forces but for the league I think we should put our feud aside.

So you want the WvWers from other servers to join ET? I don’t get it, even in the league matchup we are going to be kinda close, SF will be the toughest server if they go with the 4 * 6 model. So it would be a fight between SF, ET and FC for 1s ,2nd and 3rd. So we should all jump ship and join ET so we can win? Why not jump your ship and join ours? Why does it have to be ET? No i’m not joining ET and I’d rather die 100+ painful deaths in WvW to SF then hop ship just to win. Im sorry but I wont give in to no one!

Listen I didn’t even come into this forum as a troll, I was being 100% serious about us joining forces, Leagues will be coming and its going to be rough for all the servers in the bottom 20+ for the next 7 weeks, ET has come a long way from when we was sitting in 24th for 2 months, our server communication is far superior then most servers out there(you’d have to see what I am talking about to understand), the only thing Iv noticed on DR/FC is that your pugs are not coordinated, their are a few groups here and there but if you want to move up or start winning a bit more then just come together as a server in one voice server, iv noticed a lot of unorg. play while fighting FC and that is the only reason why I said ET has more skill then you. If you think IoM has no skill then hit us up we do 15-20 GvGs and we be down to fight any of you unofficial or official, we not just going to randomly 1v1 theirs no point.(maybe someone from IoM will want to 1v1 you)

I never said defending your keep with siege was a bad thing but to come out multi. times with even numbers to get whipped is an internal problem on top of that then run from us over and over again to try and lead us into your ACs has no skill, you defended your keep ill give you props, I understand Siege is in the game but if you think your good and have even numbers rally up and fight. Id have some respect for FC if they just wouldn’t run and showed me they can give out good fights and defend them selfs in open field on top of defending their keeps.

A lot of posts on this thread, at least I woke you all up, was beginning to fall asleep over the fights and the inactivity on the forums, I give DR and FC props because I know how ET was sitting a few months back and we know how it feels, I am just saying we’d be stronger together then split especially in the upcoming leagues. You wanna talk kitten about me or my typing skills so be it, I am just telling you all how I am seeing things in this matchup, you Hardcore WvWrs on DR/FC if your looking for a server that is going to have your back in WvW head ETs way and we can hopefully be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming leagues.

Just remember how it feels to be trolled back because I remember a lot of you on this forum trolling pretty kitten hard in the weeks before playing ET, how you talked about how bad we were and how we had no skill or coordination and that we’d never get out of last place, now the pages are flipped. I understand me asking you to join ET is probably raging most of you by now but I am being 100% serious, dont take this as a troll because I am just done with this immature fighting on this forum, no ones going to agree, everyones going to protect their own server, everyone’s going to think their better or have more skill then one another because that’s just how people are.

Ok I lie i was slightly serious, but tbh like you said, Idc by this point, I just need something to rage at, cus leagues will kill the fun of WvW, and roaming is fun, but its stupid now adays , facing these bronze+ raiders is fun, but when they have stacks of bloodlust, guardleech and fortitude with bloodlust WvW buff, it just really is stupid, had a 1v2 fight, alone I could handle one of the guys, but the 2 of them it was just too stupid.

So yeah I don’t mind our PPT loss, or our low score atm. I just only care for fights, and duels, but lately I been getting bored roaming and zerging, i might go to PvE shudders . Warlord take care of my keeps for me D’: I will extend my hand of friendship though, I won’t troll anymore.

So atm ET has gotten a boost from this, as for FC even if we have had 20k+ lead on GoM and DR and etc, it hasnt helped us because we are rated almost higher then AR and DR at this point. So we wont catch up to ET unless FC gets a matchup with NSp and SF while ET gets to play with AR and DR, then we can rank up a bit more to ET’s place.

Just tell me why FC is losing rating while ET is gaining, and the discussion is over…

Also our bad stupid horrible show in the reset is what killed us, the rating is a projected win or loss, so in the end of this matchup ET will be 20k above us again, 9k is from DR atm leeching rating from us, 12k from the 36k lead ET holds atm, if we somehow get our numbers back and resume to our 340+ PPT and catch up to ET, that rating will change tides and we will have a shot for ET’s place if ET gets paired with AR and DR, while we get paired with SF and NSP, making us the under dogs in those matches, but we will hold our own and gain more rating by leeching off of the bigger server’s rating.

Atm i blame all those who deserted us for GTA 5 and Teq, but even then i think I’d quit playing too if i had GTA …

Just took a camp from 3 ET pugs , 2 eles and 1 warrior, killed them both, and even had someone show up to help me mop up the camp, rule of thumb use the camp better when you outnumber someone and use it well to your advantage.

I like how ET had a zerg of 30 but couldn’t take a keep from 10 to maybe 15 man zerg, as well as they couldn’t even break through the first wall and got mopped when they rushed in. As for FC, not only did we face dying servers, but we also started to have good coverage and etc. As for now FC is lacking real numbers. I know this because at one point you would pop your head into any BL and it would most likely have a tag and a group. No adays it feels like im alone roaming half the time. FC has really lost major numbers, mainly because our people either left for Teq or GTA V…

All I am saying is you should reconsider your tactics when fighting groups. What happened was a mistake on your part, you had superior numbers, and most of the guys in my side I had to yell at them in map chat to even get them to make a move on you. I will admit my Ferg pugs need a push at times, they sometimes stood there while I zerg dived by myself just to turn around and watch them stare at me get pummeled.

But saying you have superior tactics, come tell me that when I see 10 of you wipe a 30 man zerg of fergs. FC where are you </3 we were on a roll, and now we are last on PPT, Teq you will rue the day!!

My server FC was doing so good, we were on a roll, Morale was high, we were running over other servers for the first time. We were no longer the underdogs. Then the fire nation attacked … I mean Teq patch came up. At first i qeued for Teq , spent 7 hours in Teq even more, just to beat it, eventually overflows happened. Even had to be in an overflow for an overflow at some point.

Food became scarce, we lost players along the way, but then more and more came. The never ending mass of players grew, we had to ration our meals, we had to skip lunch to be able to get into the grand event with the big numbers.

Eventually day 3 happened and i had achieved the Teq wings, I said to heck with Teq im not gonna qeue on another server or on overflow for hours just for a tease.

Returning back to WvW, thats when the cold truth set in. We had lost numbers. We had lost our once mighty PPT for 2 weeks straight dominating over other servers. Once there had been tags a plenty, now we had to shout over the map to see if a willing soul would lead our scattered pugs.

Day 4 after patch we have lost our morale, a lot of our numbers haven’t returned from Teq. We are now in last place, our once big numbers have been reduced. Roaming is a joke, facing 5+ numbers and they build siege for 1 or 3 players who keep em at bay from our precious towers or they will spawn camp us and get demolished by 4 players against a 12+ zerg.

If anyone out there from my server is reading this, come back to our Motherland and save her, we miss you </3.

I have 2000 hours in my account, lately WvW is becoming a ghost town, we once had a big lead to other servers, we were even having high morale, the patch hit and everyone went to Teq, now we are barely holding up to servers we once facerolled. I understand Anet dislikes GvG, but man to punish us the smaller dogs against other servers , just starts to turn me off from even going to WvW anymore, even bothering to do PvE for any armor skin or stat since I only cared for WvW, and then Spvp heck no, atm being a mesmer in Spvp is horrible, I get trapped in SKyhammer and AoE kills me like nothing.

Again ppl like you do not have the issues being in one of the balanced tiers. Thus for you it’s not in your back yard so it’s not your problem. Consider for a moment the other 42 servers.

The players and guilds on the other 42 servers are going have to make tough decisions from: Recruitment to moving to other servers were they share the same values.

There are going to be people that play to win and will bandwagon to servers to achieve that goal. Others will go to servers with better communities. WvW is meant to be fun not balanced and complaining about it wouldn’t change anything.

I know all about the server imbalances and it is not up to ANet at this moment but for the player base to decision what their next course of action should be. Once one/two seasons of the the league are completed than ANet can take some actions about balancing servers. Complaining about its is a poor waste of energy IMO.

On the subject of imbalances: stat bonuses can always be adjusted and the server league matches will be different once ANet starts to collect data from the league. We have to wait and see how this pans out. What are major WvW guild communities going to do prior and after the launch of the league?

I wouldn’t stay on a stack server if I am waiting over 2 hours in queue on a weekday to play WvW.

LOl thats what you say now, wait till you come down here and you are over run by bigger zergs and you miss out on the reward for being in the bigger servers. So what you are saying is Anet didn’t foresee or think about the consequences, didn’t test out the possibilities or outcomes of implementing a buff which not only kills GvG but essentially makes the smaller servers suffer for lack of numbers, its liek buffing siege and giving players buffs, but guess what bigger zergs can flash build siege faster then anything, can claim points easier. So you are saying that if I a WvW player from Lets say vabbi or Ferguson’s feel that I want to win and join others that “share” my view, I should just hop over to Jade quarry and win. Also what if its not just me but a mass ton of people, who will just jump to the first , second, and third place servers just to get the reward from the leagues, because if Anet expects us the players to sort it out, I think you my friend have no idea at all what it feels like to be overwhelmed.

WIth Teq out my server has lost 2/3 the PPT it had before the update, everyone is now camping Teq or trying to run with the guilds to beat it. We were leading huge leads against bigger servers, and now my server is almost a ghost town in WvW.

So yeah welcome to T8 servers bro, it always has been like this over here. The bigger server dishes out more numbers, it isn’t fair, also the reason why i stop caring for uplvls. Before I used to not kill them and let them be. But since every uplvl I see now wants to kill me in a big group or gank me even after I let them live. No more Mr Nice guy, Im sorry . time has proven others will take an arm if you give them a hand. FC and ET have had to put up with this crap first for months. Now I see every server and their mother on the forums crying on low coverage and being outzerged.

I think you are forgetting every server does this lol. Im the HP mesmer or sometimes one of the HP warrs. To be honest same goes for every TFH , WAR, Yummy + Choo combo, lol you do the same to others. I think it would be pretty double faced to say I don’t. Also you are forgetting at one point FC was one of the lowest pop servers in WvW wise and maybe PvE. We’ve had to deal with bigger servers then us, even at one point holding 1 tower in EB or even being driven to 1 keep in our own BL.

I used to Solo roam but with all these Cond groups and CC warr groups, guardian combos, or Thieves. I’ve decided to find others almost as good or as interested as me, and now I just pound face. Does it mean I can’t fight alone, nah i can fight in my own. In fact Ive only lost to a few alone in the matchup. Ive gone 1v5 against pugs from other servers and survived enough to pin them.

Ya GW2 was a PvE game for the truly awful and unskilled player to be able to coast through even the “explorable” mode content…

PvP was an after thought, in which the only contribution was something along the lines of

“We want to be an esport, so lets make the game more entertaining to watch even if you dont know anything about the mechanics of the game.” So downed states and stomping were fpisted upon us, and all who said it was a downgrade from traditional team tactics were told to shut up and summarily kicked from alpha.

THEN. Since PvP evolves it’s own content in the form of Meta shifts, anet decided that minimal resourves need be allocated to the PvP team. They then launched with no spectator mode, no ranking, and one bad game mode

Ok as mesmer I have learned to tell what a mesmer is. Lol play one for the sake of anything you love, try it, you will learn mesmers are easy to target, just hit them with a slight AoE , first one to flinch dodge roll and run away and not auto chase you is the real one. My only main problem is Asura chars and either necro or mesmer class or ranger, First of all as a mesmer asura, those things animation can become hard but not bad to tell the real one from the fake one, but still, for Necro, Minion Toughness Necro build with all those pets running around, its so hard to keep target of the necro itself at times, same for rangers, sometimes idk if i have targeted the ranger or the spirits, it isnt the class fault, its the race problem, Im not saying make asuras bigger, all I am saying is, seriously it can be a bit problematic when you have 5 things in one pile and you have to scramble to see the actual player from the cluster of minions or pets just covering the asura character up, meanwhile a mesmer’s illusions are more of either stationary or follow the target but dont cover up in a cluster mess the actual player.

That is if 5 people decide to rez that 1 person? what if they all die in the process, so many freaking variables, the way a zerg or group works is not by just counting everyone as a whole, rather smaller sub units working on their own behalf but working together in unison to achieve a goal, that one person may be dead but what baout the others trying to stay alive as well??

Short version: Everyone is out to stay alive, everyone is trying to do damage or defend, everyone is also looking out for themselves, and if they are hurt, or just as well as dead, they wont stop to get 1 guy up, unless you want a chain of dead bodies to pile up from everyone trying to res one another.

No just that people sometimes use the turrets start atking things they shouldnt, or just go afk or don’t do anything, or just spam random, when we tell them hey dude hit that #2 or hey we need heals, and also we need coordination on those as well, its kinda frustrating tbh.
