I bought some items so that I could sell them and make a profit. Last night I put them on the TP and when I listed them they did not show up for sale. I looked through the list my sale price was the highest and it did not show it. Even worse the number of items for sale excluded the 62 I put on the TP. This morning I checked again and decided to sell the items at a lower price just to break even. When I listed them it did show up, But about 5 min ago I checked them again and it was not there and worse even, out of the 128 avalible for sale it does not include my 62 again. What is going on here?
Ok so I just want it can you integrate this into the game or not?
thats not easy at all, you are practically asking they let us to develop/design our own skins inside the implemented lines (game)
Im not saying it is easy. look anet made a great game with a lot of features not seen in any mmos past. But it will not be long now before a comapny developes a completely individualized game. One with costume everything, and freedome beyound anything we have seen. Its all about who gets there first.
As far as it being easy or hard, I dont care much Im not looking for problems, just solutions. Blizzard has been working on a new mmo for a few years now, and Im sure there are a lot of idease they are throwing inbto the pot. Gw2 is great but I dont get why they do some things and not others. No matter what happens anet will always keeep the game feeling like there are limitations. I did not like WOW that much, but one thing it had was a feeling of freedom.
Anet even said it in a press confrence, " we want the gamer to play the game we made the way we made it" the problem is no one wants to play a game with rules, gamers want the freedom to do what they want in game just like in real life. GW 1 was great but with the obvious limitations, WOW was good for an hour than it was all the same. GW2 is complettely diffrent, but where are we going with it???
Im not sure how to implament it. But lets say you wanted to make a costum sword. You could design the sword how you want it to look, etchings, hilt, ect. than when you have got your drawing completed in game. you go to the crafting station and craft it. maybe there could be a desk in your house, when they add it. and when you go to your desk there could be tools, that would allow you to customize item skins. or completely make your own, under some fixed parameters. after you have completed it you go to crafting table with the required mats and make the item.
It does sound complex, but no other mmo has a way to costome design your own equipment. example lets say i want a shield. I pick from a bunch of shapes, and some patterns. Or maybe I draw my own patterns, and add it to the shield. Than the i pick a design or draw some cool looking design to put on the shield. Next if I want to add some glow or special effects there is another list of things I could add to it. The stats on the shield would be what they normally would if you crafted it, but the look would be your own ideas.
so I was thinking maybe in the future the cap could be raised on crafting, and maybe unlock being able to create your own weapon/armor skins. If there was a way to implament this into the game I think it would be great. You pick what weapon type you want to make, and then you make it look how you want it to look. Maybe diffrent designs, it would add a certain unique aspect to the game, instead of picking what weapon skin you want that 5000 others already have.
ok so wow, yes I know no one wants to hear about it. But I dont get it if sometrhing works and will help keep or add player base why not! So the had many boxes to fill with whatever you wanted to, why cant we add some empty boxes to the ui like on the right side to make it easier to equip/ use food or gathering tools or whatever you want to put there, pets you name it?
Well if you are going to come out with a broom, and then send an e-mail out that says “why walk when you can fly”. Than you might aswell just make those other people happy and add mounts to the game?
like the title says why dont we have a pre-calculated magic find stat???
ok you can chef your own bait like in the sims 3 where diffrent bait works for diffrent fish, you can craft dods for stronger fish or you could snap your rod, and the fish you catch, well maybe one could go on a mantle in the player housing coming up.
I think you should be able to fish anywhere, but like in real life fish migrate, and why couldnt you swim with them. It would be like the birds in the sky, you can kill them, and there another mini game hunting although it is already kinda in the game, but maybe sport birds. you could think of a million things that 50% will love and 50% will hate, it all comes down to what anet wants to do. And how much time it would take.
But I do love the fishing Idea???
Are they introducing a new race already?
I don’t see how poker sounds like fun in the aspect of the game. There are plenty of poker sites to play at if you want to play cards.
Keg brawl doesn’t sound like fun either. Maybe I’m just the odd player.
Fishing absolutely! Glad to read this is going to be implemented in the future.
I’m not sure what other types of mini games would be appropriate, but it should fit with the general theme of the game.
man imagine poker but you are playing with real people and your bets are in game money that you earned. yea its not real money but hell it could still be fun
I know it may not appeal to all, but it still appeals to many out there. Sometimes I get so shellshocked from dungeons or doing ore runs or just to say it frankly (playing the game). I just feel overloaded sometimes and go do other things aside from gw2 to unwind. I know that its not a bad thing to not play a game 24/7 but I would like to see some mini games. Fishing is a great add in to all games, maybe a area to play cards, gamble your coin on some texas hold-em. Im sure there are many ideas people will have, but after 2 or 3 hours of a grind it would be nice to do a mini game to unwind and still be emered in the game. One of the things I always loved about rpg"s in general was that you could be whoever you wanted to be. If you implamented mini games such as fishing cards, ect. It would help to relaxe your mind while still staying focused on what you want to accomplish in the game, maybe its waiting for a sale at the bltc or maybe waiting for daily to reset. Or maybe you just want to go have fun and not seem like its work. you have mentioned bar brawl, and that sounds cool, but there are many more mini games to help the hardcore player chill for a while.
It would be great to win 25s or 50s at a hand of poker at a table in Divinitys reach, anyway isnt there where most brawl fights started, a game of cards?
Ah i see. yes auto OC’s always set Vcore higher than u need.
To get ur Vcore down (and thus ur Temperatures also) u need to tweek a load of settings manualy and tbh it was a PITA for me to get mine stable with low Vcore at 4.6ghz, i had to get help from some peeps at Overclock.net forums. I sugets u do the same, they have some guides there that explain the BIOS options.
Bassicaly the main things u need to tweek is LLC (load line calibration) Vcore (set it to Offset then + or – 0.010 at a time till it becomes stable) the idea is to set LLC amount and Offset amount just right so that the Vcore it allows is as low as possible..its harder to tweek than a ‘set’ Vcore. .but it does allow ur CPU to save power by lowering Vcore to very low amounts (like 0.872v in my case) when it downclocks itself when its idling…at a set Vcore it wont do that and u will be constantly running at a high voltage…there are other options to tweek but the guides would better explain them than i can of the top of my head.
Do remember after 1600mhz on RAM the benfits are next to nothing BUT lowering ur CAS helps more. I see alot of 2133mhz RAM at CL 11 or 10., if ur stock settings are say 1866mhz CL10 .. then i sugets just trying to get it to run at 1866mhz CL9 or lower. I personaly dont worry about RAM tbh i bought some Stock 1866mhz CL9 RAM and left it at that.
For Gw2 though do try changing those ingame settings i mentioned, if u havnt already.
thanks I will check out all that you said, my ram is actually 2133 at 9-11-10-30. so it is running pretty fast
Its unlikely to be ur SSD, unless its a old generation 1 SSD, they had high failure rates.
Not connected ot GW2 but ..Your Vcore on ur CPU seems high to me.. I run a 4.6ghz on the same CPU and have an offset OC with all features still enabled and peak at 1.36v. Full prime95 stable.
IMO u shouldn’t have went wiht a 690 ..i woulda went 2x 680’s ..but never mind
..if ur seeing FPS drops that u dont like, only thing i can sugest is lowing ingame settings.
GW2 SuperSampling is very ineficent ..as is the Reflections on ‘All’, the both requir insane amounts of power to render ..most people even with high end rigs sit on native and Relection on terrian And Sky. You would probably be ok with supersampling ..just change Reflection to ‘terain and Sky’. GW2 renders reflectiosn even if u dont see them ..hence the huge performance hit.
Set GW2.exe priorty to high in the task manager it will give u a few FPS.
Oh and turn of core parking ..it might help. I tried and i honestly cant say i see a difference. .but other people have said it helps.
The fps issues I see are not a big problem, but the things you suggested I did try. I set gw2 on priority, and I did unpark the cpu cores, byt I did not see a diffrence in either of those. As far as the ocing of the cpu if you dont mind how did you oc it. I have a rampage 4 extreme, and basiclly just set the oc to xmp, to get my memory to 2133 and then set each individual core to 46, or 4.6 ghz.
I have always overclocked my comps, but most of the options in bios dont have a good discription. I did watch some videos and read some articles, but they say not to offset the cpu. If you dont mind maybe you could offer some good advice.
The other day when anet had there patch I noticed som fps issues, and by issues I mean at times it would drop to 53 or 48. I am already running a heavily overclocked cpu and a great gpu, 2 actually. My 3930k was clocked at 4.5 and my gtx 690 was at stock.
Because I was having these hicups and decided to spend a better part of the weekend just doing some over clocking and find out how high I could go, and more important if it would help. I started on the cpu which was not hard at 4.7 it failed my stress test, so i left it runing at 4.6 with a core voltage at 1.44. then went to the gpu after hours of playing around I finally came to the conclusion that the evga gtx 690 stock speeds performed the most consistent results.
I then erased my ssd and reinstalled everything fresh. I started playing gw2 and it ran perfect no issues at all. No fps drops except right at launch in a new area. So i thought maybe the architecture in ssds and how garbage collection works, when anet does a huge update it may fragment the drive enough to cause issues. I have 0 cpu bottleneck as the attachment shows, so the fps issues must have come from the ssd. Even though I am transferring at over 500mb/s read and write, maybe there is a problem there.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know, maybe using a hdd and defrag a few times a month might do it?
I was wondering if people report on an acccount or toon that they are botting. And anet succefully finds out they are botting and bans the account. Could rewards be given out to those that reported the individual. Im sure many come across botters and dont care, but if there was something like an incentive maybe more would be inclined to do something. Nothing major, but just a little something to show you stopped someone doing the wrong thing.
I am not trying to stir the pot, I am fimly against botting. I would never do it myself I feel it would take away from the game. But I have to ask, Is it legal for anet to ban botters? If they are running a program that does not use or change gw2 software, than I dont see how they could ban people from doing it. I report botters all the time, I dont know if the get bumped or not, but just because its morally wrong does that make it leagally wrong?
I have posted this months ago, and havent seen any diffrence. I have seen a slight diffrence in fps throughout the game, but after I am downed or revived from death my fps drops signifigantly. I dont understand why this happens. Since Ive played gw2 this has been going on, that is to say since it was in beta. I thought the issue would go away, but it still remains. System specs are as follows
3930k
evga gtx 690
rampage 4 extreme
16gb corsair platinum
I personally think the game is runing great. In pve you get your mobs around events and then people go their own way. If you go to pvp or wvw there is tons of coop. It is a great balence and I think it works. If you want to get a party for pve just go to LA and spam a few times Im sure youll find someone there.
lol magic find food. you can make almost as much just selling the mats than if you cook it.
maybe thats what anet wants
I guess anyone can make as much gold as they want if they can afford the money to by gems and trade them?
I am a human ele, Ive notest about 2 patches ago, when I use my hotkey to select the next closest enemy, sometimes when enemies are right next to me, it will selec an enemy completely out of the area. This is very disturbing. If im almost dead I can bring others into battle that would not come under normal circumstances.
because there are many times you kill something or attack it and it walks away, then you dont regenerate health. and it doesnt make sense anyway, oh I can switch weapons in combat my sword and shield, but I cant switch my gathering tool. I understand that its a game, but for all games to be sucessfull you need certain laws.
For instance it doesnt make sense that you go through have a game traveling with someone, fighting hard all the way. then a cut scene shows ther person you travel with using some uber spell to kill a huge monster you cant. why wouldnt they help before.
Certain laws that need to remain intact, even for a game. If you can swirtch weapons in combat you should be able to switch gathering tools. Switching clothes would not make sense, but gathering tools do when compared to weapons.
The more you move away or forget the set of laws that make the game the more the game begins to narrow as a whole. once again the laws are not like real life physics, but game laws the devs make when creating a game, that way by adhearing to these laws they dont make a monster mistake that jeperdizes the game. Similar to laws around the story of a game, it has to make sense.
what if they had a special transmution tool that would allow you to add armor stats to an unused wetsuit ::))
Look you can switch weapons in combat, and sometimes your not even in combat and it doesnt let you switch harvesting tools, Hell if you can switch from sword to shield why not ori pick to mithril pick?
PLEASE CHANGE THIS
from your very special friend here on the forums

Personally I think they need to fix the lack of end game content before making ‘end game’ harder or longer to achieve.
I think the end game fix will be somewhat of uber endgame content. I didnt like the hard level in guild wars 2. Most people agree doing the same things over and over again are not fun. Implement a good new area, charge for it but add an exiting twist. The trouble comes in where cost and programming and security need to be accounted for. I praise them for what the have done so far. They are headed in the right direction.
Me and my guildmates actually had a great convo about what Anet could do if they extended the level cap: Why not bring back secondary professions?
If I’m correct, I believe a recent SWTOR update allowed you to “dip in” to other classes. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you could have a lightsaber-wielding Jedi with a blaster attached to his hip.
Instead of giving us just another 10 trait points, why not let us pick a secondary profession? It would have to be reworked (meaning, you can’t just throw up the ele trait pool if that’s the secondary you pick, because 10 points won’t mean jack) but I think it’d be pretty cool.
As an example, I’m a guardian, and I choose Ele as my secondary. Maybe now, my Sanctuary utility now burns enemies if they touch it.
Just an idea, hate it or like it.
I belive I herd that is old news and never coming back
The only that I do not understand what would happen if they raised the level cap is traits.
If they raised the cap to 90, then technically we would get 10 more trait points to place. This would mean people could obtain more skills making the game more generic and more builds a “jack of all trades.” I do not think I would like that very much. It may also effect PvP and unbalance it even further since classes have access to even more skills.
As the level cap extends even further past 90, then even more traits can be filled until you basically do not even have to pick or choose anymore.
Unless they do not let you obtain trait points after 80 which would be weird and slightly dumb…
the game is already a jack of all trades in a way, they already have every class with healing skills, and its basically just the actions that are diffrent the result is the same, long range melle short range, I dont understand what you mean
I would love to see some areas with gigantic monsters, that you could even defeat alone. But I would also like to see some more skills, not as much as guild wars 1 but more skills so there is more of a custamizable option there. Right now you are kinda limited to what you can have and what you can do. But dont get me wrong it is done very fairly. Someway they need to implement a new skill package or set of some sort. I would love to see my ele cast massive blizzards. I guess kinda like final fantasy 7 was back in the day. There was massive spells to cast. In a way it made you feel powerfull.
The game is great but the same skills over and over is a little too much. I was curious about the future and if anet planned on making changes like they did in GW1. not the same changes, but somethings to spice certain aspects of the game up, that may become bland.
hmm this makes me think a little. yes there was a cap of 20, but to achieve certain things for your toon you needed to keep playing. And Im not talking about grinding. If you wanted a certain skill you would need to go to a boss defeat him and cap sig him. I think it took me longer to get to lvl 20 in prophecies, than it did to get to 80 in gw2. on the other hand when they released factions, lvl progression was increased 10 fold.
I dont think it would be a bad idea to increase character lvl. They could add areas that would be lvl 120 or higher, that would give ppl a reason to keep the grind. Not just to make money or armor, but to fight newer bigger tougher monsters.
I was just wondering if there were thoughts on character development further down the road. To be specific max level. I always enjoyed playing where I can progress my character further, Its quite easy to get to level 80, and I was wondering if the max level will be extended.
I play mmo’s for diffrent reasons, but I like the feeling that its always moving forward. Although there are many in game things to do, and more content. I feel there is a max on character development. In future updates and expansions will there be new skills to aquire?
one thing I liked about GW1 was the CAP SIG. You always had an opertunity to keep progessing your character, because you had to fight so hard just to get a skill you wanted, or another to make a certain skill set.
I hope ppl dont take this the wrong way, the game is great, I would just like to see more charcter progression.
now Im getting error code 3032:1002:3:4348
Im having the same issue in various locations on the eru server seaferers rest. error code 7:11:3:189:101
ok this is bothering me now, it will log in to my account but when I character sellect and go to enter world, nothing happens. Anet please help
When I try to log into my account it doesnt log in, just keeps trying. I treid my wifes account in a diffrent area than me and she has the same problem. The game just wont connect to the server, never had this issue before. Any advice. I did not make any hardware changes.
My friend who is not great with computers, loves games like this. He is 59 and has some trouble getting setup with everything. I told him last night about the deal for 45 dollars and he bought it right away.
He attempted to access the trial account during holloween but it was just at the end so he couldnt get in. When he bought the game last night he logged into his created account and added the code that was sent to his e-mail, but now it says he is not logging in with the correct password or login name.
I am going to his house later today to try to help him but how could I get him setup. I dont know what he did exactly last night as we were on the phone, but he really needs this to help him get away from some of the hard things going on in his life.
If there is anyway we could get in contact with costumer support and maybe talk to someone rather than submit a ticket that would be great, he lives kinda far from me, and I dont want to make 2 trips if one is good enough. Anet please help my friend he is a good guy and I know this will help him greatly.
I transfered to another world because I read you could do one once per day. Now I cant transfer back for 5 more days, and I want to play with my wife and friend. what can I do.
I got 250 in the mail aslso, was there something I did to get this, or was it just a random thing?
another great idea
It would be nice to check on some things when I cant be in front of a computer. Like maybe the BLTC and my toons. Also maybe some graphs on the BLTC, like gold to gems, and prices on other mats and weapons ect. WOW had a decent app, but I think GW2 could easily surpass that app, with all the features that are in game. Also have some toon skill savers, so you can record diffrent builds. Anyway just my 2 cents.
So is there one in the making?
My ele has been having this problem lately and it sucks. When I switch attunement he auto attacks the closest enemy. Its a problem please fix
Its like waiting in line for the department of motor vehicles, I spend more time trying to find groups, than playing the dungeon.
I hope you are happy::
The hardcover guide I bought says the code inside can be used to access the digital guide where do I enter the code?
I understand what your saying, But you have to keep in mind not everyone is computer literate. One of my friends wants to buy the game, and It will be hard for him to use 2 programs at once. He is in his late 50’s and loves games like this. But the less complex it is the better for him.
I have played many mmo’s that have their own in game voice chat. This is a great idea, rather than using vent and have to be connected to a third party app.
It would be nice if Im in a party with a friend to just have our own in game voice chat. This should be part of almost every game in 2012, are you ever going to include it?
I know I could count the percentage up, but hey what are we in the 90’s. It would be nice to have it calculated for me so I can see if there is a big diffrence in what loot im getting with higher luck. Like if I have a 25 stack at .6 yes its 15% but then adding new items and buffs, why not put it in, critical hit chance is there?
