On the whole I like where this is going however there are three things I’d want to see changed. Everything else in my opinion is awesome!
1) Rez skills to revive dead allies. So far I’ve practically never bothered bringing a rez skill, they have ridiculous cast times and ridiculous cooldowns. If I were to bring one it would be in anticipation of a particularly troublesome fight, yet I’ve stopped doing even this because in most of the particularly troublesome fights, by the time my rez skill has finished casting, my downed ally is already dead, leaving the skill in its ridiculous cooldown and having done absolutely nothing to help anyone. If they had shorter cast times I wouldn’t mind that they don’t rez dead allies, if they had shorter cooldowns.. I wouldn’t mind so much that they don’t rez dead allies. However since we now have this mechanic where you can’t hit a waypoint if someone’s in combat, I don’t think it would be unfair that these just rez dead allies.
2) If I’m rezzing someone and I hit my dodge hotkey it should let me dodge. I don’t have double tap enabled because it sometimes goes off when I don’t want it to, leaving me with less endurance than I’d intended, so I shouldn’t really need to start moving away from someone I’m rezzing before I dodge. That’s only an extra split second action before my dodge but it feels like the game penalises me for rezzing, that split second could be and has been the difference between life and death. This is why I tend to avoid rezzing people who are all the way dead during some of the harder boss fights, it’s not worth the risk of losing that reaction time.
3) Preventing the ability to skip everything. It just doesn’t feel right to enter into a dungeon and then skip past everything than can be skipped past. In the last MMO I played, once you’d aggro’d something within a dungon, it’d chase you all the way to the ends of the dungeon if you didn’t have it killed. I know this would just enrage those trying to speed clear everything but… I guess I’m just selfish, I like to do dungeons because I enjoy playing the game. Once I’m out of a dungeon I go looking for the next dungeon to do because after having done plenty of dungeons, general PvE content outside of dungeons just isn’t quite as exciting. Thus the reason I just can’t understand why people even play if they’re not even going to… play. Skipping isn’t playing it’s avoiding playing, I don’t understand it really. Ok I’m done.
I do Tier 1, 2 and 3 Fractals every day at least twice each. I’ve not noticed any nerf of the drops. It’s all pretty randomised. Some days the lower levels give me good loot and the higher levels don’t, sometimes it’s the other way round. Some days I get good loot from all of them, some days not so much. It’s been this way ever since I’ve been doing Fractals daily, likewise for my regular team mates that I’m talking to on RC about this lol. Most of you guys are just hating on an RNG that hasn’t favoured you to your liking. Sorry to say but it’s true.
^I do dungeons for stats and money, not skins. More money than anything :P
Anyway after my rant earlier. I thought “What if this no WP deal had always been in place?” and the answer is, dungeons would have been rebalanced by now to be more fair. Perhaps. xD
1) For what I would say to a developer: If Explorable dungeons had difficulty settings (normal/hard just like GW1 had everywhere) people would be able to learn dungeons without needing peak skill ability or a team of people who can carry them. I see a lot of people complaining that Dungeons are long, hard, boring. I felt this way too when I started doing them, party wiping at the first few sets of mobs and having to rez rush, 1hour+ of this with almost more repair bill than profit made with possible full party rage quit or resigning before the end, mind this was back in september though. But once I’d actually learned whichever dungeon and how my class can be a benefit to it, things were a lot more smoother to the point that I’m quite happy to lead newbies/pugs in there and not have to worry too much. But I can’t agree in any way that it’s fair to throw the level of difficulty that dungeons require at people, when the practice vs difficulty they’ve had in general PvE is no where near the same level. There should be a build up in difficulty or at least the option. I get the feeling that if the mob AI in general PvE had been kept from that one delightful BWE I was on where mobs seemed to have brains, the transition I speak of here would not have been so harsh. Curse all the whiners who couldn’t deal with mildly clever mobs.
2) For my fellow players: My main is a guardian (I’ve got four 80’s, full exotic gear and stuff, all do dungeons), originally I built my guardian for support/tanking (Vit/Prec/Healing gear) and it did marvelously, my heals were ‘helpful’ and I could take a beating. I hit like a wet noodle though. I got bored of this after some time and made myself a knights set for the hell of it (Tough/Prec/Power) and suddenly I’m doing fairly decent damage, my heals were not hugely less than with full healing gear. Because of the change obviously I was moving around a lot more, paying more attention to when to dodge and when not to and found that my rate of deaths didn’t actually change much, if at all. So again for the hell of it I made myself berserkers gear (Power/Prec/Crit damage) with the same playstyle as in knights and now I’m doing even more damage and.. still really no change to how often I get downed/killed, more often than not I die from not being aware of something or not paying attention or trying to hit my dodge key while rezzing someone before standing up first. On top of this I’ve ended up (for whatever rason) finding myself in dungeon groups where the whole party is specced for damage (Not necessarily glass cannon) and those runs, not only have been the fastest but have been the most death free. I’ve since salvaged my tanky/support gear for ectos because the heals I lost were so very tiny compared to the damage I gained, and on top of that I’ve learned to be a much better player. TL;DR I know, it’s just something to think about and I can honestly say if I have a party in a dungeon that’s dying a lot, the last thing I want is someone to switch to support because IF the party is dying a lot, it’s generally because it’s a bad party anyway or something(s) living longer than it needs to and that is what’s killing us, not lack of heals or indestructible players.
Yeh… Game forum.. probably typed more than 99% will read. xD
(edited by Nayaru.4716)
I think Hammer is perfect as it is and I’d only choose a GS over it because i want a short burst, nothing substantial. But ok, I’ll stop debating. Because the fact that hammer does practically all around AoE damage with plenty of retaliations while Whirling wrath is on cooldown, means greatsword is better AoE damage. I get this crap argument every so often in game too. I was told not to bother with actual game forums because fools were everywhere, thanks for solidifying that. xD Bye.
I should have added the Mighty blow doesn’t hit quite as hard as the whirling wrath but it hits mostly as hard and isn’t a build up attack, it’s done when you cast it, it also grants Area retaliation if you use it within the symbol of protection, it has a lower cooldown and it hits targets where you started and where you landed, not just the former. Yes I will agree within the duration of a whirling wrath, whirling wrath does more damage, but I can’t agree that during the whirling wrath cooldown that hammer will have done less AoE damage than the Whirling wrath will add up to once it’s usable again. Single target damage? Ok perhaps the greatsword wins. But this is why I like Sword/Torch. :P
Edit: I re-read reply. I said nothing about the hammer auto attack. But while I’m here it definitely hits more targets than greatsword does. Also note I wasn’t talking about single targets
(edited by Nayaru.4716)
I’ll take the 50 on the right. You take the 10 on the left.
Otherwise known as 0/5/30/30/5 – Full Zerker gear. Kill fast, die slow. Life’s a good’n.
I could only guess at that being a shout build with altruistic healing since you’d practically need “Stand your Ground!” to finish casting Empower reliably, the Altruistic healing to prevent you from dying while casting it.. however you build, the staff is not going to be killing much… it’ll all be your team that you’re mighting… surely. It’s not even something I’d consider, considering to possibly try out. xD
OP didn’t specifiy PvP or PvE.. So I’ll go with PvE since that’s my strength. I’m a Hammer/Greatsword Guardian who sometimes switches either of them out for Sword/torch. If you want to do a short burst of decent AoE damage and then sit with auto attack for a while then you want greatsword, if you want constant AoE damage with some handy utility then you want Hammer. Greatswords are shinier and Whirling Wrath looks good and all but… I only use it to leaproy in, pull mobs in, spin to win for a a second then weapon swap immediatly. I’m aghast at the countless guardians I see who only use greatsword and never swap except to back off with a scepter -.-, the DPS on GS is only good while you’re using Whirling Wrath because “yay big numbers happened” otherwise, no, get a hammer and deal damage to everything near you the whole time you’re attacking with probably the handiest bind, the most powerful knockback and the most useful warding that guardians have access to.
One thing people don’t seem to take into consideration is that 3rd looooong swing generates a symbol which generates damage on just being in existence which if you’re only auto attacking is going to be there most of the fight(Along with its protection), not to mention it grants pretty much constant protection if you want it, you could also mighty blow into the symbol for area Retaliation.
Also as you know, the Banish skill has a blowout like nooo other class (so fun on Mouth of Zhaitan), the Binding skill (Zealots embrace) can be used to pull from range, not just to bind. Ring of Warding is ultimately useful for funneling things into an allied AoE hell. <3 Might Blow hits pretty hard and the auto attack aoe range is pretty wide which makes it amazing for aoe damage compared to like.. the greatsword or sword or… anything else guardian has.
Just things to consider next time you voice your dislike of the hammer. :P
I can’t see any way of making a build that will enable you to win a fight 1v1 with a staff, if you do the opponent was terribad or near death anyway in which case it was someone else who did most of the work… are you a troll? :s
You can be ranged Guardian if you want but you will get very bored very soon. Staff isn’t propor ranged btw, it’s just aggro everything you’re aiming at + some really useful utilities. Scepter #1 doesn’t fire very fast, the #2 skill does a nice bit of aoe damage, #3 is a bind but there’s really nothing much to it and no other ranged options to switch to, for me scepter is what I use if melee isn’t an option for whatever reason, or if I’m scared of something. :P
I’ve also got a lv80 Ranger, Mesmer and elementalist. Working on Warrior/Necro. If you’re looking to switch classes, there are far better options if you prefer ranged. That being said, one of my good friends plays an Engineer and she definitly does good damage with her grenade kit amongst other things I haven’t learned about till I get round to that class. My advice would be to (if you really enjoy engineer) is find your own way of making it feel useful and doing lots of damage and what not, before listening to the people who say engi sucks. Heck, people say guardian DPS is a joke but I’m pulling off 4-9k crits x4 within 5-10 seconds WITH survivability to boot… soo… all I’m saying is make of it what you want, not what everybody else says.
Couldn’t find anything about this when I searched.. In GW1 if you hovered your mouse over a characters name in guild (Maybe friend list too but I didn’t have many on there) it would show in the tooltip: “Also known as <Alt character name>”. Was wondering if we could get that in GW2? Would just make identifying the many people I’ve added that much easier lol.
Alternatively a good idea would be to give us the ability to create our own groups within the contact list, so we can sort our contacts how we like in different sections rather than having a biiiig long list of online or offline people.
I don’t understand the logic behind this “Rebalancing” at all. But that’s perhaps because the information we’ve been given about this is very unclear. If on some weapon sets AoE’s are more powerful than their single target attacks, shouldn’t the Rebalancing be focused on raising the damage dealt by the single target attacks? AoE’s arn’t exactly super powerful as it is.
What I’d like to see is some actual information on which AoE’s are being nerfed in relation to which skills, which situations have promoted these nerfs so we can give informed feedback on whether some of the nerfs are good, why they are good, and if some of them are bad and why they are bad, in multiple situations.
I can’t imagine the developers have covered every aspect of every situation of every nerf they might be applying. There’s just not enough information available yet for players to do anything but voice their displeasure or lack of understanding.
A big hats off to you!
Not always.
Sometimes you get stuck with those magic find users which do less damage and make dungeon runs slower. Then i will know who it is and can kick them.
And this is exactly why we don’t need this suggestion. I agree I don’t particularly like the idea of people running entire dungeons in magic find gear, IMO magic find should have just been left to food and boosters not gear but that’s besides the point. If you really want specific builds in or not in your parties then you should request them and ask to see some of their gear if it’s that big a deal. The reason for this being is I don’t mind having at least one person in the squad specced mostly to enhance their support capabilities which often means a lot less damage than others. And regardless, I’d rather have a good player with crappy gear in my team opposed to a bad player with great gear. Kick people because they don’t know how to play and are letting your squad down, not because you disagree with their gear choice or damage output.
As to ele’s getting aggro very easily on some bosses/mobs, I see this a lot on my ele and others too when I’m on a different toon, I get the impression one of the aggro mechanics is to go for the nearest player with the least amount of HP and/or Toughness which would be ele’s in most occasions. Which usually I’d say would be a bad design but… I want my clever AI mechanics back from beta anyway :/ the kinda that is commonplace in GW1, mobs that choose a target based on threat or squishyness and don’t always sit in your aoe’s like they don’t know they’re there. We could do with some ways to.. not necessarily control aggro like taunting but instead inconsistently be able to change it. Like if Dazes/interrupts/knockdowns/etc had a chance to make the target choose a new target. Maybe it does already? hmm, something to watch for.
Definitely doesn’t deserve to be called “Guild Wars” 2, nothing like GW1 in any aspect so just rename it already.
Without the angst but I agree with this. Although I guess it wouldn’t have sold as well if it was just called “Tyria” or something. I love Guild wars 2, don’t get me wrong, it’s just GW1 has so many features and mechanics that in my opinion makes it a better game still. Guild Wars 1 was the MMO *R*evolution, Guild wars 2 is an MMO *E*volution and is inferior in many ways to Guild Wars 1.
I have to have a back up game to play because Guild Wars 2 doesn’t really fill what I need from an MMO, but hopefully this will change with time and updates, I’m quite aware Guild Wars 2 is still just a child.

A suggestion in regards to communication: It would be brilliant to see a “List of possible plans but none of which are promises, just ideas that may or may not get scrapped depending on how progress goes” although I’m one of the people that wouldn’t have a problem with things getting scrapped, I’m sure there’s a danger in doing such a thing for all the people who’ll decide that promises were broken, just like people who complain that staff are not communicating enough… while they’re on holiday.
I do hope staff are having their well deserved holiday.
Achievement tab > Hero > Hints (Right at the bottom)
For me this says 79/83 Hints completed but when I open the hints interface everything is checked off, I even went through and checked them all individually. Am I missing something or am I bugged?
Obviously I don’t have access to statistics but I can’t imagine that at this time server populations haven’t “settled”. Really hoping it’s gonna be early after wintersday. I’m still pretty sad about server switching being lengthened because of people abusing it in wvw… I don’t even care about wvw… except for monthly… really wish that was part of the pvp monthly not the normal one but oh well xD. I kinda feel like the mid level maps would see more population if we could guest, mostly at least for the people still working on exploration! All my excuses to revisit them are on a different server
I hope so. With my awesome guild on one server and a group of friends on another…
It’s depressing some what. Although I guess I should just appreciate that we have the option to switch servers at all.. heck I can’t even remember the last game I played where I could PM cross server lol.
So it was said a number of times by arenanet that server choosing won’t affect you if you want to play in PvE with friends on other servers. It’s been almost 4 months now and this is not happening… and I can’t find anything recent about it. Has there been any announcements anywhere about this? Has it been scrapped for example? Has anything been said about why we didn’t have this at launch?
Thanks.
And now that Tixx has arrived in the grove, I feel secure in saying that the rest of wintersday will hopefully go just as smoothly
Par anything unforeseen and unfortunate.
Hats off to Anet who clearly listened to all of the complaints about how Lost shores events were managed. Wintersday(s) seem set to fulfil a larger amount of the playerbase this time. And I’m honestly more excited for wintersday than christmas! XD
Really big thanks to you guys at Anet!
It’s only got one use against ranged foes. It’s got two uses at close range. Use a ranged weapon for ranged foes… lol
I actually toy with all the weapons but if i’m to lead a dungeon I generally go with hammer and mace/shield. I rarely use Focus now even if I haven’t tossed it, it’s just not that great a utility for group efforts. If I want constant protection and some control then I’ve got the hammer (love using this to pull too lol), if I want constant heals then I’ve got the mace, the shield is there to help with a bit of protection with the heals and helps trigger my altruistic healing if the protection was constant it would make hammer protection spam relatively pointless, and it really isn’t hard to position yourself to hit as many allies as possible while kiting and dodging around, in fact half the time with this build I don’t even need to kite or dodge except for the harder champs or larger group of mobs (0/15/30/20/5 traits, prec/vit/heal gear btw) and I’ve got that +toughness/reduced recharge trait for the shield, plus i appreciate the extra armor rating it gives. Not forgetting that shield #5 is an aoe heal too, not just a projectile absorbtion (which btw has saved so much damage when used right, plenty of times). This set up really is the bees knees for dungeons and I have no complaints about it. I wouldn’t however consider using this setup in places where only I am looking after myself and I have no one else to look after.
So IMO a shield for ‘guarding’ others and a shield as a class icon totally suits me just fine. :P
Edit: Side note in response to something the OP said, I personally only ever use greatsword for killing trash mobs or because I want to wave a big fat sword around for a while and it looks very cool. The burst damage is nice… the blind leap finisher is nice, the #5 pull is.. nice but it’s just nice. Perhaps if I was a DPS build I’d use it more, but then I kind of wonder if you’re a DPS build why even bother with mace or shield, there are better options for that and the heals from these wouldn’t be that impressive if that’s what you were using them for.

SOLO DUNGEON MODE!
Call me lazy but I didn’t read through the whole thread so this may have been suggested before. The same dungeons with the same paths but lowered difficulty, still harder than general PvE but quite do-able on your own (Or perhaps duo dungeons), like a personal instance where no one else can enter! I for one would love to be able to run these in my own time at my own pace. Lowered rewards of course. That would be a huge thing to recreate though I know :/. It would also allow me to grasp the basics of each dungeons paths before running them with a group and making a complete kitten of myself and I feel it would cater for the casual gamer far more than the current system does.
TRASH MOB TOKENS!
Very simply, alternative tokens that have a chance to drop from trashy mobs, all these tokens would be the same through out every dungeon and with a relatively high drop rate. Example is a stack of 250 “Universal Dungeon tokens” could be turned in for 25 tokens from a dungeon of your choice. This would help make people rethink if they want to skip the majority of a dungeon (which annoys me to no end) and would allow for at least some progress towards the gear that you want even if for whatever reason the dungeon run fails to be completed.
Worth a shot that way. It’s actually my favourite to do too although perhaps that’s from not having done it as much as the others. My only complaint is that the final bosses frontal aoe seems to be very 360 degrees sometimes… xD
I didn’t know this, thanks for the tip. I tend to just do path 1 and 2 and then give it a break so I don’t get bored, do other dungeons and stuff. I’ll give it a try at some point. Thanks.
So I get a team together on my ranger, it’s a pug. We do path 1. Once we are done i switch to my guardian with the same pug. As it’s a pug I don’t feel comfortable doing path 3 as in my experience pugging that one rarely goes well. Path 2 keeps bugging at the end because Detha is stupid. And I’m on a different toon anyway so we do path 1 again. Except I only get 30 tokens.
We didn’t skip stuff, we killed everything, we did it fast, we didn’t cheat, we didn’t do anything wrong. AND I AM PENALISED FOR HAVING DONE THIS WELL? 30 tokens. What the hell is this crap. Seriously ANET, I defend you to the earth but this is absolutely rotten of you.
And yes I know there’s probably a million posts about this but I’m kittened off. Freaking ridiculous. If this was to discourage me from “farming”, it doesn’t, it just kittens me off. And by the way, about that. Arenanet keeps saying “We want you to play how you want to play” WELL I want to farm a dungeon, and you don’t. So now I have to play how you want me to play, not how I want to play. Seriously.
Well that’s terribly annoying. I was about to edit that the only way I’ve found to combat this is to turn auto attack off and manually spam 1111111111 as I go but that’s one way to kill a persons finger… lol. Thank you. Glad I’m not too crazy xD
Oh it was happening on my necros scepter. I’m assuming because it’s got a string of different attacks for the auto.
Several times today and in the last couple of days when using the skill shout “Stand your ground” on my guardian to break a stun, it has done nothing except apply the stability boon. For example today in Sorrows embrace I was knocked down by a dredge so I hit “Stand your ground”, my character continued to stay laid on the ground while my skills all finished off cooling down from the knockdown as if I hadn’t used the skill at all (This only happened once in the entire run luckily). There are some occasions where I use the skill at the precise moment I am stunned/knocked down and it has neither broken the stun or prevented it from happening. I hear from some friends that it’s not just me this has happened to.
Several times today and in the last couple of days I have executed a dodge roll, half way through said roll my character is stood up again and takes the full force of the attack I was originally attempting to dodge. I feel like this happens because at the point of the dodge my character has tried executing an auto attack and it has canceled the dodge roll. It’s not consistently every time but it’s happened enough time for it to become an annoyance. And embarressing in a dungeon.
Just me?
I have news for you. In a tech support forum you’ve done nothing to aid arenanet in helping to fix their problem and have done nothing to help me to workaround said problem. Your posts here have nothing worth pointing out. You’re only posting your displeasure which has no value and is pretty selfish to do when someone is just wanting help. You would do well to rethink your motives and actions, although after seeing your type all over the place that will be falling on deaf ears.
On topic, sorry I should probably ignore trivialities like the above poster. Shamelessly admitting todays playtime which has been pretty constant since I implemented your fix Manasa, haven’t had any problems at all. Thank you very much.
Giving your fix a thumbs up.
P.S: Kind of ironically I had to turn the graphics down again during a TA run because 3 ele’s a mesmer and a guardian produced so many flashy spell effects I couldn’t tell when Malrona was executing attacks to put up reflects! lol
Kindly use your own thread to pick at Arenanet. Quote if you have to.
Anyway, 4 hours, no crashes. Going to try turning the graphics up some and will update as I go. Thanks.
Sorry for slow reply and the schoolboy error, always post specs. lol Which I will do now while trying out Manasa Devi’s suggestions.
AMD Athlon™ II X3 450 Processor 3.20 GHz
4GB RAM (3.12 usable)
32 Bit Windows 7.
Nvidia GeForce GT 220
I’ll edit with results of the above suggestion after I’ve allowed enough time. Thanks guys!
P.S: Forgot to mention this has actually started happening while using the graphics preset “Best performance” now too. Suggestion implemented… fingers crossed.
(edited by Nayaru.4716)
I just don’t have the words I’d like to use to articulate how stunningly impressed and in awe I am of this. kitten though, hats off to you sir!
To the Arenanet dev’s who will undoubtedly see the thread…. please please please for the love of all that is holy, don’t make this boss harder for the rest of us…
Is it just me or does it clear up for maybe ten minutes and then go back to disconnecting every few minutes again?
It’s quite possible our pleas have been seen, it just may not be something they have been able to identify yet and I’d rather no news for now than to see a “we don’t know what the problem is”… but yeh.. frustrating.
I’m on a US server but I’m playing from EU side of the world. I get lag and then disconnected. There is NOTHING wrong with my internet or any other online application I am using. The only thing that is having problems is GW2. It’s practically unplayable right now, I can’t get through my story quests at all.
Ok I have this problem where my game crashes if my graphics are on medium to high appearance. This is the error message I get:
“—> Crash <—
Out of Memory: arena=Default, cat=Packfile, allocBytes=10484652, arenaBytes=233949384, fallbackBytes=37239348, align=0 ,

Anyone know of any game or PC settings I can modify to help prevent this happen or am I stuck not utilising my pretty graphics?
Thanks!
Ironically after posting this it only happened once or twice. I will obviously be keeping an eye on it though.
Not to be off topic but it was quite amusing to solo jump into a lv40 event on my hammer guardian, everything froze while I spam 123456789 in the hopes that the server got the commands… then when it unfroze… “Event successful, gold medal etc etc” lol
Edit: I actually had similar issues like this during server maint (the kind where servers don’t go offline), so maybe.. anet were doing stuff.. although that wouldn’t account for all the people that experienced no issues at all. This is why I find it hard to believe the issue is server side as there isn’t a huge amount of people who had this problem.. it’s just like I mentioned before, I could not find any problems with my own connection. Good times.
(edited by Nayaru.4716)
I have been having this issue all day. Both on my wireless laptop and my desktop which is hooked directly up to the router. What is happening is, my gameplay just stops, mobs stop attacking and just stand there as does my character. However chat continues to work, i can communicate with other players in any of the chat fields when this occurs, not to mention the online applications I am using outside of GW2 are still continuing to work, my internet connection hasn’t shown any glitches when this happens. Sometimes gameplay will resume again with a brief flurry of actions to catch up with what I’ve missed, other times it just disconnects me to the character selection screen and I just have to hit the [Play] button to resume playing. This last time however it did neither, I went away to make a coffee and when I came back it was in the same position I left it, with my character stood very close to red name mobs without any actions taking place so I restarted the client and it was fine, again I was able to rage about it in party chat and people were able to reply with sympathy.
I’m posting because I want to know if this is happening to anyone else at all? It really doesn’t appear to be a problem on my end. It’s probably important to note I’m playing from the UK on a US server (Tarnished Coast), could this perhaps be a contributing factor?
If not then I don’t know what to do.. This has happened a lot today and I’m the type to blame my connection for problems before the program, but I’ve been watching it like a hawk since it began..
This is ridiculous. I today got my 40/40 Fractal achievement and I’m only lv4 fractals. Why? Because I keep disconnecting. What’s bothering me the most right now is I can do any dungeon and any game content without d/c’s, but when I’m in FoM I suddenly get d/c’s happening. On two different occasions today I paid someone to get to an overflow so I could run this dungeon with my friends on a different server (Yet another stupid issue), and both times on the second fractal of the run the game disconnected me, yet everything else I was running did not get disconnected or even get a connection glitch.
I’m fed up of not being able to run this. I’m fed up of letting my friends down because they have to 4 man a run AGAIN.
I can not understand, for the life of me, why none of this was addressed BEFORE it went live.
It’s an amazing dungeon and I really like it but this is butchering all of the fun I could have from it. This so called fix really needs to be applied soon, if not then two weeks ago.
If there’s no way round allowing d/c’s to re-enter without also giving people the ability to join a fractal late when they had not been in it before, just make each fractal seperate from one another, rather than 3 in a go without breaks. With some sort of secondary token system to allow for a bonus/chest fractal round.
P.S: My party is full of people TRYING to get in. So I will not leave the party, don’t suggest I do so.
Sorry to everyone who has been sending me PM’s, I have been getting so many it’s hard to reply to them all. My overflow is full and if /join doesn’t work it means my party is full too but I am kicking people as they manage to join my overflow so keep trying me every so often if you’re still not having luck.
Any Arenanet employees wanna take on board how absolutly disgusting this is? Make the rewards one time only. Make the event run a few times through the day. A mad scramble to try and get people into an overflow is really stupid. Really. I will not rant any more about it though.
REPEAT: MY OVERFLOW IS FULL But you’re weclome to /join me and try to spam the join overflow button if you want. I want anyone who missed this to get their shot!
Ok my overflow is full again! If I end up finding another one I’ll post and start another ferry.
