As someone above mentioned… recruitment threads can be viewed as an element of the pr/propaganda war… why would you expect others not to oppose your efforts, seeing as your efforts have a negative impact on said others?

That was one of the greatest fights ever. We broke it down, all 3 fighting over the keep. Eventually…what like 20 minutes later, TC caps. Not 10 minutes later we’re in there, all 3 fighting over it again, but we came out victorious this time…but knew we couldn’t keep it as our north towers were down. So we had to retreat and not hold it!

Such good fighting over the last 2 hours!

And stay away from my garrison quaggans!

Just ignore the trolls. They are still mad about last week. This thread is too fun for them to derail.

By the way, great to see ICoa again, great zerg control…smashed our face like 5 times! Got some stuff to learn from you guys that’s for sure :o

I missed fight club, so how was it? My guildies said it was boring, but surely something set up 24 hours in advance wasn’t boring, really?

Anyone other than the usual 4 or 5 people who show up, want to give fair duels a try just mail me ingame. Win or lose, you can learn a lot. Very good practice in the event you lag a little and stray from your zergball. shock

30-40 RE came and stood in a line. We tried prodding them with pulls to come fight at the other 3-4 spots, but they wouldn’t bite. After being pulled a couple dozen times, they started attacking, so we started killing. It turned into a full brawl until RE took their ball and went home.

Troll attempt but whatevs. We had about 20 total and only 7-8 would line up. Both times we set up fight club (our way) de®p and co would interrupt.

The easiest way to get people to move to one of the other areas is to point and move there…not anger the whole group by bombing them. After most of our guild got tired of de®p trying to ruin everything I stuck around fighting some duels, but some OG ele kept attacking random RE players without trying to start a duel normally. Got annoyed after fighting him for 5 min and left. Real classy guys…

Shout out to triggerless and the others who didn’t want everything to fall into chaos.

I’m always curious as to how people come up with their numbers. Cause to me they sound like they are just making them up to feel better. Until they add some official “This many people are on this BL” counter to the map, the best you can do is guess (or straight up make it up). Now if there is a queue you can estimate more easily, but there is tons of rumors of queue bugs and what not. You can’t go by who responds in chat cause most will ignore you, you can’t go around counting dots because other people move and its a big map. So other than ego boosting and/or best guesstimates…where are people coming up with these population numbers? :P

He did eventually duel one of our mesmers, so there’s that, I guess. I don’t really see a point in waiting until Thursday especially since I’m pretty sure RE’s scheduled time interferes with several of our schedules, but whatever.

If you want to go do duels, go do duels. We just have a sanctioned one by our guild on Thursday and that is when most of us will be participating.

Whew, here I was afraid I was going to have to leave work early to be forced into going! :P

You guys can say whatever you want to Kain but thats not going to break our spirits. Couple weeks ago we were low tier server, getting beaten down every week. But things has changed. We are still young and have alot to learn… And we are learning, and we have learned a lot in this week’s match-up. Instead of fighting us on the forums, fight us in the battlegrounds. Then you’ll see who is the bigger man.

You can still hit them with your attacks directed at where they were. Just because you don’t see the numbers does not mean they are avoiding your damage. Invisibility does not make you immune.

No, learn to use it to your advantage. You can use knockbacks, dazes and pulls to stop them from doing stealth revives. Spam your attacks at where the player was and they won’t be able to res very easily if at all. (Yes I know I have a thief, but it’s a P/D thief that only runs shadow refuge if someone makes me)

It can be a bother when you run into a coordinated group that uses them, but they are just playing well and you should learn counters.

That’s the same problem we had on our BL last night. But no one will obviously believe that we could field no more than 60 compared to two opponents who could field entire teams. But whatevs, we’ll deal with it.

Oh and you know…they wouldn’t try and take each other’s stuff, just our last towers. It was pretty cool.

Orange swords at the water gate after they were in, I zoned onto the map and saw orange swords at the inner gate then ran over there. Still no contested on the icon however.

Nice job taking Garrison with golems and not causing contested swords in YBBL just now CD…not sure how you managed that.

Speculation is great and all, but we held the ppt for all but 20 minutes at most on reset night. We’re still working on organization, so I expect to see improvements during our NA prime time.

My favorite part of every week has been people thinking we have zergs everywhere and at all times. Keep it up keyboard warriors. I’m sure some people appreciate you.

I will say one thing about this match up, it has given me a greater appreciation for the exotic creature known as the Yak’s Bend WvW player. After hours of wading through seas of blue D/D eles and thieves, I finally manage to spot the elusive red YB player and stand still in awe. Then my memory is jogged, “Oh yeah” I think, “This is a match with three servers in it.” I prepare to take a screen shot of the Yak to give my fellow CD players as proof that they still exist, but before I can press the button, the Yak players is consumed by a sea of blue and danced upon like some piece of trash.

You mean like yesterday morning when we had out manned buffs in YB BL and were defending both bay keep and hills against 25+ man zergs at the same time? We couldn’t hold both and were unable to get hills inner sieged up and repaired due to the amount of stuff being thrown at the door. Think we killed 2 golems and 4 catas, but when you have less than 10 people and no commander icon to rally the noobs you’re kind of at a loss.

Its OK though, got our guild commanders online a little later and painted the map again.

This thread is getting out of hand with the trolls and chest-thumpers, like every other week, claiming they are single-handedly destroying massive groups of our players. Can’t wait for the lock on this thread…

It’s full of WvW guilds…that’s why we transferred there. And I love these folks who claim they take out 4-5 people and then get steamrolled, and everytime they have people dancing on them and stuff. I rarely see that kind of activity from people on Kain, and when we do we tend to tell people to stop it. As for all the rambos in here who claim they are the greatest players ever…keep thinking that

Had some great fights opening night! Especially the part where we over extended and tried to keep Bay and Hills on YB BL. Lost both at almost the exact same time. Had to remind everyone we’re going to need to start sieging up stuff instead of going for the homerun shots!
