I just read the explanation and it actually makes a lot of sense.
Did anyone test the VPNs? Which one should I use?

i have tested the vpns, and it changed nothing for me, my ping did go down aswell, but my fps remained the same, it isnt a connection issue, its a issue on there side, that has been proven numerous times, but if you would like to try one, id suggest the WTFast one

i managed to recieve a response to my ticket, but im not sure if it was automated, because after i writ a paragraph explaining how it couldn’t be my internet connection(because its completely likely 100’s of peoples internet just decided to suck after the patch right?) they asked me to run a test on ym connection and send them it. they disregarded everything i said, such bullkitten

The french support said me the same about the FPS issue, they said that the FPS issue should be fixed by re installing the game ( the SHOULD BE scaring me ). If not I have to send a ticket which is saying the FPS issue isnt fixed by re installing the game.. I don’t like the fact that they are not 100% sure xD

I’ve seen 10+ posts where people have done it and it’s changed nothing, so at this point I wouldn’t even bother, I tried using a vpn to reroute my connection and that lowered my ping but changed my fps by a whole 0%, it seems there is nothing we can do but wait for Arena net to get there head out there kitten and fix this, maybe there randomly suprise us and a patch with a fix will come soon, I won’t be getting my hopes up tho. Because you know, why would they fix something that “isn’t a problem on there end” atleast that’s what they seem to think. I’ll give it a few days and if not I’ll be uninstalling to leave it uninstalled xD

I think from everything that’s been posted we can safely “assume?” That the issue is on there end, and is caused by the ui, now it would be nice if they would just let us know there aware of it, or even better that they are working on it, it’s annoying to see devs posting replys to other bugs but blatantly ignoring this one. And the one reply somebody did get they basically said “it’s not our fault don’t blame us” witch gives me very little hop for a fix.

After a few minutes of play in Guild Wars 2 when you try read somethink in guild chat
shows the message you are not in guild, even though I’m in a guild and I represent.
Only helps restart the game but surely I will not reset the game all the time…..

This is just one of the many bugs the new patch has introduced, a quick fix to it is going into your friends list panel, turning yourself invisible, closing the panel, then reopening it and turning yourself online

no matter what i change i am constantly on 5fps, my connection is fine and before the patch i was reaching around 15-20 fps on my kittenty computer, this is the first time ive been able to play gw2 on full graphics, because even then i just stay at 5fps, the only thing that changes it is turning the ui off. :L

we have a form here with 100+responses reporting the same thing over and over, theres no way arena net can actually think this is a problem on our end and not theres. is there? i guess all of our connections have kittened up at the same time, guys, call your suppliers and get ranting!:L!

ANET read my OP for sure, however It is to be highly believed they do not have a FIRM answer for us who are still suffering from the FPS drops. I logged in just a few minutes ago, and I still cannot chat with my Guild Mates, I still hear voices coming from nothing around me, and the biggest is the ongoing FPS issue.

We know you are well aware of this issue, but if you would please lighten the anger and frustration from your loyal customers concerning the major FPS BUG ISSUE due to UI, that would be greatly appreciated.

o there is a quick fix to the guild chat issue, go into your friends list and turn yourself invisible, then close the window, go back into it and make yourself online, thats a quick fix until anet decides to actually fix it :L

this seems more like ping-related problem. i (and many more ppl) dont have ping problems. (mine i about 40-60). its clearly sth with interface code (turning off ui, or just interface makes so huge frame differences)

yep i have no ping problem either, no matter what i do or change, nothing changes the fps except turning the interface off, im starting to get annoyed and just sen t a ticket myself bringing all the evidence to light that its a issue on there end with there UI and not ours

so i tried the fix he suggested and nothing changed at all, my ping is even down, so the software works, but no matter what my ping is, my fps is still 5fps, only does my fps change when i hide the ui..so it is obviously anets fault and not the middle man like they keep trying to blame

That’s how it’s starting to seem, I read on one post that someone posted something on the guild wars 2 facebook page regarding the fps issue and it got removed O.O, it would be nice if they could just let us know there aware of the issue..this has to be a major knock in PR for arena net..

Would mantra mastery be an option to speed ruse time on cleanse/heal support? or possibly Phantasmal fury to up dps slightly.

Chaos storm does give Aegis, Infact i find it to be the most abundant of the boons it gives, And mantra mastery would give you better overall support, but less damage, so I’d say that’s more a matter of personal prefrence

Against longbow Rangers your best friend is going to be confusion, not the condition, but actually confusing them, I tend to find popping decoy and blinking ontop of them works great, most will likely open with rapid fire so your ethier have to eat it threw your stealth, or dodge, after that your generally have to bait out signet of stone witch makes them take 0damage, a cry of fustration shatter and a few autos is usally enough to do this considering how squishy they are, from there your free to go in for your full burst, Ofc situations change and such tactics are not always optimal, but, generally staying ontop of them/behined them and always moving I find to work best

I also can no longer play thanks to the fps drop, I only had around 15-20 before, now I’m sitting at 5..when I hide the ui it’s fine tho, the lack of response from the devs on this situation is making me wonder if this is not a bug atall, and the changes for Heart of throns means the game takes more to run then previously? I would really appreciate atleast a official response from arena net concerning this so I don’t have to keep refreshing the forums to see if it’s been fixed yet :L

since the patch aside from all the other bugs that have occurred Ive been experience a massive fps drop, before the patch i could run the game at around 15-20fps witch was playable (i dont have the best of computers).

however since the patch i cant reach more then 5fps, witch is making the game unplayable, if i hide the UI i return back to my normal 15-20, but its rather impossible to play without it.

so all i would like to know is, is this a bug thats being worked on? or is the game now more trying on systems since the patch, in light of the camera changes and various things?

id take nectar shop over this :L, but, im unable to get mine changed

I fixed it by doing blow. It worked for me.

• Adjusting collision sensitivity all the way to left. (FPS backed up from 15-ish to 60)
• Adjusting Field of View to get good balance of FoV vs FPS

unfortunately theres no dealers near me, so i cant get hold of any “blow”:(

I am experiencing the same thing, my fps is usally 15-20 because I don’t have the best of systems, but now it is 5fps, but with the ui turned off I return to my normal fps Aswell, this has killed the game for me as 5fps is just unplayable

We’ll I brought 900g yesterday xD! So I can afford it, I just didn’t want to blow a ridiculous amount on it, but anything below 300g is fine, and 70 is good for me, just trying to rush level another mesmer for roaming, I hate leveling

I’ll get straight to the point, I’m looking for a new server, I mainly roam, we’ll I only roam, usually solo or in small groups, I’m basically looking for a server with an abundance of small groups/solo roamers, I don’t mind trolling the occasional zerg, but ATM on the server I’m on it’s to the point that every time you find a 1vx fight a Zerg comes along and ruins it, or I can’t find fights atall, I am too understand that low tier servers best suit this, but I worry about not finding fights, so, any ideas guys?

After quitting the game around a year ago I’ve decided to come back, I’ve started a fresh and made a new account (I couldn’t remember my old email/pass), I’m currently playing on GH eu and am looking to move to a NA server, I mainly roam, but my time restrictions always put me in prime time for wvw, making roaming somewhat a pain when running solo, so, I was thinking of moving back to a NA server, was just wondering what the parameters of moving across region transfer are, and if it would really be worth it, and if so, maybe what server is good for roaming over in NA

I listen to quite a lot of bands varying over different genres, I particuly like “some nights” by fun, especially when it breaks into the whole “this is it boys this is war” part and I’m running head on into a enemy Zerg with 4 others, then I also listen to bands like deaf havana, of mice and men, o and also some regga, rap, all sorts I guess

I run a hybrid condi/burst boonstrip build against eles that seems to work really we’ll, the high burn ticks and poison negate there healing and the boon strip takes care of there might stacks reducing there damage quite abit, you can keep burn up 80% of the time and are able to setup nice bursts while still having sustain, it’s still a hard long fight, but, I have won quite a few and also lost quite a few, they are our anti-class as are engineers, but that’s just how it is

When I’m done at work tonight I’ll make a forum for the guild officially for recruiting

I definatly don’t think guardians are the underdog, while we lack the diversity of other proffesions, are traits don’t synergise we’ll making almost half of theme useless, but, we can do everything to a high standard if played right, we can easily switch between damage to support to bunker with a few trait swaps and gear changes, and we can fill these roles to a high standard, despite what others may think, at the end of the day it comes down to the player and there ability as a player, timing is everything with guardians, from when to throw up that fight changing ageis, to when to give that ally who’s hp you’ve been watching while playing protection/regen, guardians really have the ability to turn a fight around, wether it’s from ressing a team mate, bringing incredible burst, or that more then welcome support

I usually just follow through with the leap, so I never had it done to me before. But the Guardian teleport IS broken.
Examples
-Most notably Sky hammer on either points A or C you can teleport to an enemy on the other side of the wall.
*Which is awesome but you can’t do this on most maps. In some cases you can’t teleport to some one directly above you and you can’t teleport when free falling like when the skyhammer glass panels break.
And... why not? It’s a Teleport. You You should be able to Teleport when ever, how ever you see fit. As long as the targeted enemy is in range.

Yes! I sometimes find my port works like normal but then other times on maps like forest of nifhel for instance, I’m unable to port up to them pesky rangers on mid point sniping me, I also have the same issue on my mesmer with blink, it will just port me into the wall etc. As you said it shouldn’t be limited to working in certain places and should work everywhere it’s intended to

Yea…EU and NA can’t play together, but I’ll still invite who ever like to join. Also made a guild site that will be updated within the following weeks. Soon will have players and their notable builds in the guild. Only members can see these numerous builds and tpvp forums on the site

O that’s awesome, guess it’s time for me to release my builds soon then!

I get this a lot in pvp, as I’ll pop focus 5 then judges intervention in, any good player will know to dodge so I instant leap after to blind so they miss and can’t break focus 5 and keep on them, and we’ll, this rubber band effect is annoying as kitten.

I actually met a very effective condition guardian in pvp today, I have around 15condition removals on my guardian and he was able to keep burning up on me 80% of the time, he also was applying bleeds and poison, most likely due to sigils, he used gs/sword/torch, and his burning was ticking for around 900-1000 other then that idk anything else or what traits he was running

I’m up for this! I’ve mained a meditation guardian in pvp for over 1000hours now, I’m from the eu side

I’ve been messing about on the build creator a lot lately trying to create a build with strong sustain while remaining close to zerker damage for roaming, and this is what I’ve come up with.

I do have a few querys about this build witch hopefully someone with more experience can help me with. So here’s the link to the build

My quick breakdown of the traits:
Valor line:
So quite clearly it’s a variation of a meditation build, So we have the usual traits in the Valor line witch synergies well with each other.

Honor line:
We put 4 points into Honor And pick up wrathful spirit and Empowering might.

Wrathful spirit is personal preference here due to the fact I like to have retaliation in outnumbered fights and we can proc ageis quite often, when I’m running with a group I will switch this out for Resolute healer.

due to the high crit chance of this build empowering might allows us to stack a nice amount of might witch also stacks on top of are sigils of battle, allowing Us to stack 10might in are intial opening burst.

The extra 200 vitality and healing power from the Honor line also gives us great sustain,
Add that on top of the Vigor we will gain every 10seconds thanks to vigorous precision allowing us to dodge even more(who doesn’t like to dodge and avoid attacks?!) and thanks to selfless daring them dodges will heal us for around 400 each time, we gain great sustain from this tree

Virtues line:
Finally we put 4points into virtues and pick up retaliatory subconscious and absolute resolution

Again retaliatory subconscious is changeable, but I find it great when fighting multiple opponents due to the amount of times you can get cc’d

Absolute resolution gives us a nice 3k heal and removes 3conditions, add renewed focus to the mix recharging the cd and we can get off a 6k heal and remove 6conditions, it really is a life saver! You can swap this out For indomitable courage If you feel you lack stability, personally I feel absolute resolution is to strong not to pick

The 20% virtue recharge rate and Boon duration given by the virtue Is great, it allows us to proc ageis more often giving us more retaliation and also reduces the cd for absolute resolution, the minors also give us retaliation whenever we active a virtue giving us even more retaliation, each virtue will also now give us another boon, might regeneration and protection witch synergies great with the overall build

I believe the skill choices are self explanatory and I feel the armor of choice gives us a good overall survivability and damage, i feel like 2.8k armor is really the sweet spot and pushing over that for roaming is over doing it

My querys:
Right the things I ain’t to sure about

the build editor I used still uses the old method of crit damage, is 63%crit damage enough to dish out the pain? I’m not sure how that translates to crit damage now

Also this build gives us rather high attack and with might stacking we can reach 3k but, would we benefit from using might runes more then we would wurm? We would get a nice 5% damage increase and be able to stack more might, but we would lose a lot of vitality and ferocity. I’m not sure how the ferocity to power ratio works when it comes to damage, maybe someone can work it out?

Hey guys, I was told to bring my suggestion here, so here I am, I was wondering if there’s a chance there will ever be a forum app, or if someone could make one, I know a number of people who only go onto the forums on there phone when there out, wether it’s to kill time, or just get that gw2 fix!, here’s where the issue Lyes, the forums on a phone are terrible, it’s awkward to post scrolling across every few words, or reply to people’s posts without zooming in etc etc, an app could fix all these issues, and had some handy extras, like push notifications when someone sends you a message or posts on your topic etc etc, I also think this would encourage people to use the forums more, meaning overall more activity here, due to the fact the forums are off putting on phones, so, any chance there ever be one, is anyone capable of making such a app? If so if be happy to fund it, and what dose the community overall think of this idea? Leave some feedback!
