Not only is it safe to transmutate an ascended back piece but you can also ascend it like it was a regular Prototype Fractal Capacitor (Ascended).
Well, that’s assuming what comes out is the Prototype Fractal Capacitor (Infused) and not a winged back piece.
this is exactly why I can’t acccept the argument that eles have 20 spells… half of them are the same, only making different dmg and conditions.
I can understand bows and rifles being very similar, what else can you do with a rifle than shot it or use as a blunt weapon?
But when you have four elements at your disposal, having some of them look the same is just lazy.
While other servers can still build siege. Isle of Janthir server simply cannot, it is impossible for us to lay siege. I am not kidding, I had to test it myself.
Now we are being destroyed, help us! You’re screwing our server over ArenaNet!!!

How about Legendary Elites Skills?
Long recharge, long casting times but super kitten? During those casting times you can do some pretty awesome looking camera work.
-Sunrise replaces your first 5 skills and the character gets light wings.
-The Dreamer will summon the rainbow unicorn and it will charge, knocking back foes.
-Juggernaut will summon a massive metal fist to slam into the ground for big AoE damage.
-Frostfang will replace the first 5 skills and engulf the players body with the ice dragon.
-Incinerator will charge up and blast a fire lazer.
-Bifrost engulfs the area with the Aurora Lights, healing, removing conditions and granting boons.
-Kudzu summons a flower field that will heal and inflict conditions on foes.
-Moot can Summon a Disco Ball that buffs allies and crashes into the ground.
-Bolt can Summon a Lightning Dragon that will swill around the player, giving swiftness to allies and damaging enemies.
-Rodgort can summon a fire dragon that will crash into the ground, setting it on fire.
-The Predator can fire like a gatling gun.
-The Flameseeker Prophecies can summon a Titan Ally.
-The Howler can summon Fenrir.
-Hell, the underwater legendaries elite skills could be you can bring them onto land, AN ACTUAL USE FOR THEM in a game that is played 99% on land! But I don’t think ArenaNet is cool enough to work on improving legendaries. Have you see all those boring or useless traits? Seriously, dealing 10% more damage is nice but I want something fun! Have traits affect skills, I want visual feedback THAT IS NOT NUMBERS!
No. I played C9, which judging from your comment you did too, and the ultimate fury skills were cool, yes, but I don’t want them in GW2. Why? Because GW2 isn’t about getting increasingly incredibly flashy moves. You can’t balance if you’re juggling sledgehammers.
No I’ve never played C9, I’m not even sure what that stands for.
GW2 isn’t about incredibly flashy moves? When all the legendaries are incredibly flashy by themselves, The Moot is a freaking shining discoball. What game have you been playing?
Pretty sure he was refering to the skills themselves, not the visual effects. If legendaries had exclusive skills they outa be downright pitiful, and I mean worse than Avatar of melandru pitiful. Anything super exclusive isn’t going to be worthwhile, but to stay in reality, it will never happen. Legendaries are only cosmetics, they don’t require anyone to get them. Aside from maybe a quality of life bonus, I see no reason to “buff” legendaries as an idea.
And If I see another legendary gs come out before they release atleast 2 new legendary skins for each other weapon type, I’m going to run over a kitten. I do not understand why gs gets soo much attention…
The funny party is you need Eternity to get the legendary achievement. Owning Sunrise or Twilight isn’t enough to get the achievement.
Lets not forget some legendary’s are just flat out worthless or has 0 visual changes still.
-Underwater legendary’s in a game played 99% on land. Completely useless.
-The Minstrel and Meteorlogicus has NOT A SINGLE visual change.
-The Incinerators footprints are barely visible and throwing the blade just looks flat out stupid on an Elementalist. Not to mention while wearing Fire Gods Vambraces the ‘flame’ effect is non-existent.
-Frostfang looks JUST LIKE Corrupted Skeggox, the only way to spot Frostfang from a distance is to notice that little tiny white footprints on the ground. I was on a fractals run and I didn’t notice our Warrior had Frostfang until Maw. Good job on this ‘legendary’ really made it stand out to it’s 30g brethren.
-Rodgort and Howler are already so small, the visual effects are barely noticeable.
Something is wrong when half your legendary’s are lackluster or useless. Oh yeah, the visual aesthetic is rewarding on HALF the legendary’s. Good argument there.

Lol wouldnt that be hard to code?
No.
If you bump into someone (or something like a turret), RTL ends dealing damage. Return the recharge to 15 seconds now that Ride the Lightning is no longer an uber escape skill.
Now you no longer have to cater to Spirit Watch ArenaNet.

A lot of the animation for daggers skills share too much of the same animations of other dagger skills.
1. Drakes Breath and Cone of Cold is LITERALLY the same animation but different colors.
2. Fire Grab and Lightning Touch are once again, the same animations but different colors.
3. Updraft is just a backwards dodge roll that is NOT instant, making it unreliable for an evasion and better used as a knockdown. Did I mention it’s A BACKWARDS DODGE ROLL!!
4. Lighting Whip collision detection is wonky. You can see the whip go behind you?!
5. Ring of Earth is Impale except in a ring, why isn’t it ranged like Impale?
6. Ring of Fire is just like Ring of Earth
7. Earthquake just makes a crack on the ground, it doesn’t appear all the time. Could you at least make a ground upheaval?
8. Fire Grab doesn’t grab at all. What’s wrong with the name Inferno? (GW1 reference)
9. The name Burning Speed makes no sense since the skill was updated.
10. Dragons Claw looks nothing like a claw, it’s just a line of fire.
11. Ride the Lightning HAS 0 COLLISION DETECTION! Make it stop when I bump into something!
11. The laziness of the visual changes with Incinerator is very apparent, update that legendary.
Also:
1. Powerful Auras does not work with combo’s, fix that!
2. Lava Font with the Molten Pickaxe LOOKS MORE LIKE AN ACTUAL LAVA FONT.
3. Phoenix, the wings are WAY to small.
4. Blinding Flash is barely visible and makes no sound.
5. Arcane Wave is barely visible and very quiet.
6. Glyph of Storms casting time and recharge is way to long, considering Ice Bow offers better AoE, damage, recharge and more versatility.
7. All Glyphs are useless. Elementals summoned are slow, use their skills worthlessly and die very easily except for Earth Elemental.
8. Ice Bow basic attack is laughably weak and slow.
9. Summon Fiery Greatsword is good, update it’s #3 skill to evade, why the long kitten recharge? Make it 60 seconds like the other weapons!
10. Lightning Flash doesn’t blind.
11. Lava Axe and Earth Shield is totally useless, Lava Axe damage is terrible and Earth Shield is slow at everything, the best skills cannot be used while moving.
12. Lightning Hammer skill #5 is worthless. Other than that the hammer is pretty good.
13. Arcane Blast looks lame and silly. Give it a small casting time and better visual.
14. Give Combo Finishers priority to your own combo field!
(edited by Nova Stiker.8396)
One of the more advertised things about combos was comboing with your allies.
So no.
Plus, what you’re doing is supposed to be a bit difficult.
I’m talking priorities, not removing ally combo fields.
Allied combo fields unintentionally make combos more difficult.
For example, what if a guardian used a light combo field then light blades for an AoE condition removal. Fighting the same boss my Mesmer uses Feedback; instead of removing conditions from his team he’s throwing confusion.
Confusion is nice but it’s not what the Guardian wanted. That’s not comboing with your allies, that’s my Mesmer reflecting projectiles and my combo field just happens to override the one he wanted.
It would have better coordination if the Guardian helped his team with AoE condition removal. Heck, afterwards he could Leap though Feedback, away from his combo field to get Chaos Armor.
Yes, it’s good to use combo fields with your allies but you can unintentionally ruin combos.
(edited by Nova Stiker.8396)
My double dagger Elementalist abuses the fire combo field, easily giving 19 stacks of AoE might. Combined with 4 Warriors each using Signet of Rage+For Great Justice, we got ourselves a team packing a constant 25 stacks of Might, Fury, Swiftness, Protection and Regeneration. Doubling every Warrior and myself damage output with the addiction of insane defense.
Throw in a Guardian, Mesmer or Necro into the mix and it makes my job of boon stacking significantly harder. I don’t want AoE Chaos Armor or worthless Retaliation, I want Might! I have to avoid their combo fields to get the ones want, AKA my own.
It would be nice to give combo finishers priority.
Combo Field Priority:
Yourself – Your Party – Your Allies
That way I don’t have to worry about combo fields giving the wrong combo finishes.
Pointless, there is no reason to cater to the QQ’ers.
I laugh at people that struggle with the dodging daily, it basically says you suck.
I could probably make a list of people NOT to invite to dungeons
The only new daily I don’t like is healer, the Charr area is filled with dying soldiers and I’m certain a lot of people are not aware of that.
I agree, have the books hover when drawn. Godswalk Enchiridion can easily have some sort of aura affect around it.
Didn’t ArenaNet state they’ll make Legendaries Account Bound?
So I submitted a ticket [Incident: 130129-002989] about my problem, I got 18,000+ Captian Council Commendations JUST FOR Black Lion Keys when Lyn is useable again. Guess what? She no longer has any, fan-freaking-tastic. The ticket suggested making a suggestion about my thousands of worthless Commendations.
Even after spending 1000+ Captian Council Commendations I am stuck with over 17,000 useless Commendations!
My idea is simple, GIVE LYNS BLACK LION KEYS! I am not going to destroy Commendations I worked hard to collect over the past couple months!
That would make Healing Power still kind of useless Leo G. Investing in Healing Power just for a chance to remove an extra condition is completely useless. Not to mention it will make bunker builds all the more viable in sPvP if they naturally remove extra conditions being stacked on them.
Thane you have a build based around healing power?! No offense but I cannot see that to being as useful as other builds.
(edited by Nova Stiker.8396)
The only problem is having Boon Augment would make bunker builds nearly impossible to defeat, however like confusion, boons should have a PvE/WvW/sPvP split.
Which quite possibly fix the overpoweredness of bunker builds in WvW/sPvP.
When it comes to supporting builds the best way to support others and yourself is with boons, not healing power.
Healing Power probably has to be the least important trait. You already have Toughness and Vitality for defensiveness.
Why not change Healing Power to something more useful like Boon Augment? Increases the power of boons. Healing Power only affects one Boon and it’s primary use is to boost the self heal, not something to be proud to have high of.
With Boon Augment it really strengthens the ability of supportiveness more than healing power ever could, of coarse some boons power must be reduced to adjust to this new ability (ex. Protection reduces damage by 20% but with high Boon Augment that can be increased to ~40%)
I think Boon Augment will appeal to those wanting to be supportive or for people that want to strengthen their own damage output without the need for high Precision and Critical damage.

Someone had a bunch of ogre pet whistles to waste.
Over 700 Whistle I have on me.
Yes, yes, YES! My army is growing! Soon Tyria shall fall before me and I will rule the world! MUAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
Temple of Balthazar has been bugged in Isle of Janthir for weeks now and my pal needs to get his Legendary. We were hoping this new patch would fix it, but no. It is still broken.
Can anyone say if their Temple of Balthazar is working?
Use 4 daggers, abuse weapon swapping.
Thief is not a PVE class, we are almost useless in dungeons compared to every other class, except ranger. (but they are getting spirits fixed and major buffs.)
Wow, you are a terrible thief if you are useless in dungeons. No offense if you are bad as a thief in dungeons then you are bad at every profession. It is about being smart and skill. Learn to melee effectively, if you are playing a purely ranged thief in a dungeon you are doing it wrong. Simple.
Tips to playing a Double Dagger Thief:
1. Steal, steal on recharge if need be. If I see a thief that doesn’t steal I get sick to the stomach.
2. Death Blossom is your main damaging source in PvE. Right now I can get 6 Death Blossoms off consecutively. About a 150 hours in I got my achievement of killing 5,000 enemies using daggers. I was level 80, full exotics, 74% of the world complete, beaten every dungeon path with the exaction of two Arah paths. Condition Damage is great for Double Dagger thieves.
3. DON’T GO BERSERKER GEAR! I don’t know why some people split gear stats. Carrion armor is all you need to bust out huge damage at the same time have nice defense.
Thieves do however suffer hard until level 40. Their best traits are not available until Master trait level.
I can show you how I use my thief Eagleowl, message me in game. My IGN is Abyssal Atmos.
(edited by Nova Stiker.8396)
You went heavy condition damage on a pistol without any condition duration increase? Yet you cannot figure out why your damage is so low…
Run 30/0/10/0/30 traits with full Carrion armor, accessories and weapons, with dual superior Sigils of Agony, 2 Superior Rune of the Afflicted, Superior Rune of the Centaur and 2 Superior Rune of the Krait for 95% bleeding duration increase. Stay ranged during ranged fights and go invisible when melee.
Condition damage doesn’t suck, just sucky people.
Hodgins must be alive when Howling King dies. The best way to avoid him dying the entire fight is to kill all or most of the Breeders and fight the Howling King in the open area.
The second alternative is all nearby enemies must be dead, then it is alright if Hodgins dies as he will resurrect afterwards. This is harder as if a minion of the Howling King summons is still alive he won’t resurrect and it will bug on you.
Very annoying bug, if Hodgins is dead when the Howling King dies the cut scene will not play and will give no end reward. Sometimes he will resurrect for cut scene but that is if only all other nearby enemies are dead.
Can we get a fix of this? I keep sending report in game for about a month now and yet nothing has been done. Oh, and the CoF median chest armor hiding any shoulder armor. I’d like to see my armor, thanks.
I had a similar bug in a dungeon, multiple times. The Swiftness Boon didn’t work at all, I would run the same speed as my other teammates despite having a minute of Swiftness.
That made little sense Booler. If you are asking if I am using the Mystic Forge, no, I’m using the Mystic Forge Conduit which can be used anywhere and acts just like the Mystic Forge.
Unfortunately you probably will get a response like "We are sorry but we do not have the ability to refund items or currency yet. Sorry for the inconvenience. "
I wonder if I can report ArenaNet for scamming using their own report system…
I put in 4 exotic greatswords into the Mystic Forge Conduit hoping to get Dusk or Dawn. So I put in the exotic greatswords, I got NOTHING in return. I lost 15 gold of materials right there.
So I decided to replicate the problem on video to prove the bug. Took two tries but I manage to get the same bug, I to put 4 materials in and got nothing in return.
Video of Bug
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE ARENANET! I better get compensated for my huge loss.
(edited by Nova Stiker.8396)
I ran it twice. It is bugged, DO NOT DO THAT PATH OF THE DUNGEON. You will not get your tears, money or experience.
I did Ascalon Catacombs 3 times, I defeated the Rumblus, Howling King and Ghost Eater.
After I beat Ghost Eater I got 0 experience, 0 coins and 1 token.
UNACCEPTABLE! I literally got scammed by the games mechanics! I demand proper rewards for all players scammed by the current broken system, I mean flat out given tokens, experience and silver though the mail system.
