Usually not mindless, but if you got on the VoIP that the guilds were on, you’d see what you are missing.

PuGs upgrade camps to guards when the zerg is walking up needing supply. PuGs dps down a gate when the wall is down around the corner. PuGs take supply from a keep and repair a wall that is being trebbed. PuGs attack polar bears when the zerg is running by and pop orange swords. PuGs run dps single target specs and gear and get nuked in a zerg. PuGs run in and try to solo a guild claimer with the buff.

The best players of PuGs end up joining WvW guilds, keeping the average skill level of the group lower, because the better ones leave the group.

You, being on the WvW forums, at least somewhat knowledgeable and yet not in a WvW guild are the exception, not the rule.

A community TS that the “pugs” can get on so to speak goes a long way. You would be surprised with the reasons they don’t join “big” guilds and its not because of player skill or anything but some of them have their reasons.

The whole 2v1 debate is weird. Of course blackgate would attack JQ most of the time they can. Last time blackgate was in T1… well, lets just do a quick recap

Guess who was being 2v1’d nonstop by JQ that whole time? Hell at one point I watched JQ actively defending SBI supply camps <.<

Is it any surprise at all that now that blackgate is back in T1 that they’re gunning for you JQ? The last time they were here you whined about them all week long, and 2v1’d them whenever you got the chance. It’s only natural they’d go for you.

Not the best tactic mind you, but the expected one given past history. o.o

No one whose of note complains of 2v1 it happens on every map whether you care for it or not. Simple truth of the matter. No need to keep bringing up something if you want the past to not repeat itself I would stop saying BG is doing it because of the past because that isn’t entirely true. They see a chance to get points they take it nothing crazy about it.

We open our arms to many great guilds this weekend and look forward to making many more friends to come.

Majority of the force after about 5pm Pacific was pug group complimented by a good number of PRX and AoS and EMP. We didn’t have more than 5 FOO on SoS BL but you can think what you want.

There were other guilds in the attack(s) but PRX and FOO were the ones I was tab targeting and there were a lot of them, hence why I thought it was a PRX/FOO attack. Maybe it was just a fluke.

Besides which, I’m paying a compliment to your servermates – why are you quibbling about it?

Please JQ has one of the best Oceanics. DC and EMP. They fill in numbers around 40 each guild easily.

BG has THAI guild also around those numbers.

SoS has only MERC and AFS. Now SoS have ND to add the the list.

Coverage wise i believe JQ has every hour covered. But not the most at 1 time.

Im not going to say coverage is what makes us win or lose but i just wanted to state out the facts that which guild is on most of the time during oceanics. Thats all.

Edit: There is also FOO guild i think. Not sure which server. AGGR from JQ.

FOO is one of our staple Oceanic/SEA guilds. They are very important in our oceanic coordination as they help coordinate everything in their time slot.

I’m interested now that JQ has new transfers – PRX. They are NA rite? If so JQ has even better NA coverage than they previously did (not that I do much gaming in NA primetime).

Did BG also get a guild transfer, oceanic wise (I know that BG allegedly got the asian guilds from the other servers in T2)?

Unless SoR get’s transfers, they’ll have a rougher time in tier 1 than we did. If we could put them under 50 ppt every night, I can’t imagine what JQ/SoS night crews would do to them.

They have the potential though, just need a little help in the late night-mid morning timeslot.

SoR definitely has the NA to compete in Tier 1. Given more coverage they could be dangerous. Only time will tell there will be a lot of server shakeups in the next week or so should be interesting for sure.

Unless you play during >SEA< (not oceanic which has the east coast aussies) times please do not comment about this. I’ve gone up JQ night after night with the almighty FOO and DC providing muscle and coordination as well as many other guilds able to lock down and take soft targets (EMP, Maw, etc) and their pressure is extreme. We only really had MERC for muscle and AFS and militia. Don’t get me wrong though, I love the competition, each moment was an uphill battle that has kept this game alive for me. However, the nights we didn’t have a commander on were usually the nights where NA’s would be waking up to T3 JQ keeps on SoS bl.

It was a tremendous pressure to hold down our borderlands each night versing that organisation. Imagine having a t3 bay, but they’re trebbing from vale. Inside vale they’ll have a dozen manned ballista’s and a 60 man zerg idling around those trebs with supply constantly being run in small teams. Counter trebbing is rarely an option because they will have 8+ ele’s ready to swirl in multiple locations. Front on pushes result is getting mowed down. Stealth/Render/Portal bombs gain us some ground but once again we only get a small window to damage the seige because of the patience of their zerg to stand around trebs. Why not play defensive? well we often end up doing this to delay the inevitable, but they’ll have a theif/ranger tapping on every waypoint for the entire night so it’s a long run back and those yaks, well you can forget about them. They have mastered zugzwang in an MMO and kudo’s to them for doing so. Of course, they’re not unstoppable, we’ve had a lot of victories, even if that means just holding 190-220ppt but it’s a heap of stress doing so. We’ve come up with some pretty hilarious tactics to counter them as well, including our suicide chain portal bomb from citadel which allowed us to kill 9 trebs and turn the momentum back in our favour, despite the many deaths.
With the arrival of ND for IoJ, this stress has been lifted. While you may say SoS has amazing coverage and that anyone who joins us is a bandwagon I can assure you that you are wrong. Their arrival gives us much needed breathing room so that our commanders don’t have to tag up for 8+ hours each night. I strongly encourage more guilds to join the tier 1 bracket regardless of server and give the true feeling of WvW, a constant massive battle. No guild should feel that their absence will cripple the rest of the server; only that their presence will push for victory.

Ratings are trivial. BG is number 3 and can only go up by being number 2 or number 1. You make JQ softer by never removing your foot from their necks. You push them even when they are the harder target because when SoS sees JQ being pushed, they are forced to push too, truly making them the softer target. Next JQ wonders if they are the victims of the 2v1 when you ignore SoS’s growing point total to smash them harder. Then how does JQ react to losing their easy number 2 spot? That remains to be seen. Not many servers just casually accept being knocked from 2 to 3 and start to wonder if they aren’t really headed to number 4.

JQ has been 1st,2nd,3rd, 4th we don’t crumble because we fall a rank. We’ve fallen to third went to first went to second held second. It’s part of the Tier 1 life. I don’t really see the point of the post given you don’t know much of the JQ history but i’ll leave a link to our history @ Millenium

My friend was banned because I sent him 100g Friday 2am Pacific Standard time. When he was banned he sent in a ticket that morning (for me he’s from malaysia).

The ticket is : 130111-001903

It was closed on false pretenses. I Personally withdrew the money from guild bank to send to him to fund his commander pin. He returned the money because he didn’t want to take money from the guild bank he wanted to earn it himself. He spent two months karma grinding and money farming to both fund his legendary and reach fractals 53. He wouldn’t waste all this time and effort to only buy gold. This action should be reversed.

There is only one way to go: write a ticket about it and have a review. Once the ticket is older than 3 days, you can put the ticket number in the special “3 day and older” sticky thread.

Mods on the forum or friends on the forum cannot help to change the situation.

There are admin’s that read this that can. It’s impossible to post about it when they close the ticket on the two day mark and force them to reopen another ticket. (Can’t ever get to 3 days). Also the person’s account on forums is also banned thus he can’t personally post.

My friends account that I sent money to was banned for “assisting” a gold buyer when I sent him gold taken from our guild bank. We were trying to help him fund a commander pin and he returned it because he didn’t want our help he wanted to earn it himself just like he earned his legendary and worked hard for his fractal achievements. When they tried to clear this up their ticket: 130111-001903 got closed saying the action is permanent. Banning someone for the region they are from is very disappointing and could be very bad for Guildwars2 publicity. The persons account is Egn.7029 and I made a thread and was told by a Moderator that submitting a support ticket explaining the situation would help. It didn’t it got me an automated response. I’ve tried doing this the right way and nothing seems to get through. Egn.7029 is a valued member of both Jade Quarry and My guild and I PERSONALLY SENT HIM THE GOLD FROM OUR GUILD BANK. If taking gold from a guild bank=assisting a gold seller than I guess every big WvW guild should have players banned nightly. If we can’t use the guild bank to distribute money through mail without risk of bans then the system is broken. My other guildies that I sent More money to weren’t banned but my one guildie from Asia got banned for less money and he worked his kitten off every day both to get his legendary, play the game and give tons of positive help to new players. I don’t doubt that he kept many many players interested in the game with both his attitude and the way he carried himself on maps. I ask that you reverse the ban on his account because he doesn’t deserve it and it’s a very broken system that has to be fixxed.

Egn.7029 was banned today for no other reason than the fact I sent him gold to fund a commander pin and he returned it. He wouldn’t accept my money and yet he got a ban this morning for “assisting a gold seller” While I personally am the one who sent him the cash from the guild bank and I didn’t have anything happen to me. The only reason we can possibly think of is my guildie whose from malaysia was wrongfully terminated because a “large” quantity of gold changed hands. While I wouldn’t believe this if it had happened just once. I’ve had numerous friends who reside in asia perma banned falsely by arena net. This issue is becoming ridiculous. We can’t send money through the mail feature if we just get automatically banned for “gold buying” This feature is quite frankly broken and should be fixxed. My member whose put countless hours in the game to get to where he is and to now have his account taken away due to an automated feature. It’s bull crap and it needs to be fixxed.

Fix the issue give him his account back and stop automatically banning people for sending gold through mail. This is a PR nightmare that’s waiting to happen if not.

I see a lot of poster who do very little in WvW making a LOT of noise. Maybe some of you SoS folks should go thump the chest of Tsym for making your server better. MERC is a crumble n run. Agg likes to 30 v 1. The only time we get worried when an offensive is going on is when we see Tsym.

How to beat MERC. Hold them up in the front. Send 5 people at them on the side and AoE their back line. MELT! Saw this 12 times yesterday on ED. How’d yer broken trebs taste?

How to beat Agg. Run a scout just within sight of their zerg. Pull them close as you can to your hidden force. Let them get the scout in a downed state. They don’t have one person killing the scout, they have 10 fools doing a finisher. Then Tada!. Our group comes out and wipes them.

Tsym on the other hand… they’re doing something. You have to stop and think because you know they have. They’re not just singing lalalalalala and zerging along taking soft targets and dropping siege and stacking on their Immortals (lol @them). No, Tsym is going to bring the pain. And the other guilds do what Tsym says to do or they die.

Pay attention BG and you will find it. Tsym rules SoS. The other groups, just make sure you have close to equal and you’ll win easy.

MERC is pretty bad. All they know how to do is take holidays. They’re really good at that though. But I guess that’s enough for such a casual noob guild. They are also a pretty good zerg and doesn’t afraid of anything.

I remember when I ran crying to Coron when I was in charge of EB back in tier 3 and getting completely destroyed. Coron and Tsym taught me how to play WvW. Nowadays, after learning from Coron, EB is like a children’s playground and I’m the big bad bully.

And man, Agg….I think they are the only guild in history ever to single handedly cause a tier 1 server drop to tier 2. That is so amazing to contemplate it makes my mind explode.

Good job SOS, we’ve been in T1 for 9 weeks and this week is our 8th win! We came for the best fights in GW2, and we’re looking forward for more!

A server dropping a tier has nothing to do with one single guild. Sure it hurts but SBI is resilient and will be back I’m sure of it. I’ve discounted them a few times and it’s bit me in the kitten Good luck SBI hope to see you soon lots of good folks there. And congrats to SoS you’ve won another tier 1 match up. It might continue like this it might not but thats the thrill of WvW it can change week to week.

Last I checked it was JQ who first openly accuses SoS about hacking SMC when you guys fail mesmer sweep in both official forum and reddit.

Last I checked a group of MERC who openly abused rendering chose to accuse FOO and DC two very highly respectable guilds of hacking an exploiting (two guilds that fought through the prime of hacking and exploiting).
