I get the competitiveness of Tier 1. You have the 3 best servers in the entire game duking it out week after week. I get the “Trash Talk”, I have played football for over 20 years now and am quite used to the chest thumping, ego filled, championship chasing testosterone fest that becomes the first 3 seeds in a tournament. This is all normal.

What baffles me is the amount of middle school drama getting spewed out across all 3 servers lately. I mean we must have some ridiculous trolls among us. The rumor mill is running wild. I know blackgate has people on their server trying to rip them appart, SOR has their share and I’d doubt that JQ doesn’t as well. I don’t know when we got infiltrated by the myspace junkies but the level of drama on our servers seems to be on a significant rise.

Can we put down the girl scout cookies and get back to having a blast in the most insanely fun wvw matchup in the game. JQ/BG/SOR matchup has been a ton of fun. I admit I tend to gun for BG more than JQ when I lead but thats because I follow a simple philosophy in sports and gaming. The biggest mouth gets my boot in it. BG has talked more trash about SOR than any server I’ve ever encountered which makes them my favorite to pick on. JQ brags about being #1, but thats because they are. Until someone steps up and dethrones the king they deserve to sit there and enjoy their number 1 spot and all the ego rubbing that comes with it. BG on the other hand has been a long time rival who I have always loved facing off with. When and if they drop to tier 2 I will miss them. They are formidable foes and a good fight to be had.

The one thing I think all of us could use more of is Sportsmanship. Ego’s and Rankings aside we are the top 3 servers in Guild Wars 2. All of us share this. Every time I step on the battlefield I know we’re facing off with the best players that this game has to offer and that my friends is what it’s all about. You never get better playing someone worse than yourself. This is as hard as it gets and you all should be proud to be in Tier 1. Don’t let the drama queens drag you down.

Wouldn’t giving everyone girl scout cookies help to stop the drama? I mean who can hate on girl scout cookies really?

Only 25? I got a metric ton of warning infractions which for the life of me makes no sense because I then got infracted for talking about how you were unable to report someone when you can’t even target them. The logic is beyond me.

Mr. and/or Mrs. Moderator, this may be the wrong spot for this, but without being able to target the individuals in question, we are unable to report as you say so. We have been forced, as gamers, to take these situations up ourselves. We try to clean our own communities with our own initiative. No member from any server would want to be associated with said activities. Everyone strives for legit gaming and to at least have a positive lime light around them.

Until you guys supply us with a better means to report people, we will be forced to report these matters to each others’ communities in order to keep things the cleanest as possible on our own ends. We only do this because we do not possess an in game mechanic that can properly do this in certain instances. You will have to forgive the 3 communities you have here for making things known as public and making individuals walk the walk of shame to the best of our ability to show that we as gamers will not tolerate such activities within our gaming experience. This, all being in the fairness of a legit win/play vs another team/server.

JQ = #1 off peak coverage. What started as a <2k difference between 3 servers last night ended this morning with a 12k advantage, great job carrying the server as usual FOO!

Not sure why this is a complaint on a Saturday. I played until 3am PST yesterday not because it was overtime but because I like wvw so I didn’t mind playing a bit longer on a night when I know I don’t have work or school the next day. When I woke up this morning, I saw a large JQ force fighting a large SOR force. There were a lot of JQ NA helping out. The SOR force was getting wiped consistently. This went on until late afternoon.

Just stating facts, no idea why JQ is getting all defensive. It’s a great time to wake up to a 12k lead is all, nothing more nothing less.

Kudos to the overnight crew FOO, your server may not give ya the credit you deserve but the rest of us know the hard work you put in after hours. ;D

FOO gets credit in game and on the forums. A lot of the forum warriors don’t do that but that’s because its accepted fact and doesn’t stir the drama.

I personally just completed the jump it’s difficult in the sense that you have to get right on the edge for each jump and some parts you don’t think are possible but you sort of just have them happen like part of the straw roof is a little bit fake as you can jump through a small part at the very start of said “jump puzzle”

Lets see whats wrong with here.

You listed two asian guilds that are never on during NA prime, SAHP and SSQ. SiN I’ve never seen field more than 5-10, HIRE is rarely in force outside Oceanic hours, Hal should be Hel, PLUM fields like…five people on a good day, maybe if you replace them with HL, I don’t think HL runs 30 tho, GSCH does not come every night but they do normally come in a larger force.

Some of the other guilds numbers you say seem a bit off too. Oh and this comes from probably one of the most active people on SoR.

I agree, our SEA fights hard everyday, I love the mornings when I am able to run with FOO. Waha really is committed to just dominating our enemies regardless of the score. Our other timezone leaders could learn a lot from his example. If we operated more like our SEA guilds, our maps would probably be green almost 24/7.

Yeah, it must be hard when you have a massive zerg, one of the other sides is slowly dying, and the other doesn’t have the same amount of SEA as you. Don’t you dare down talk your other leaders, they try hard to get points. They actually have to fight things for PPT.

Are you trying to say only reason our SEA performs is because they are un-opposed? If so, that is wrong and you know it. Our SEA is probably the most organized of any server and that’s the reason we win that time slot.

Im going to agree with this somewhat…… alot of people during SEA prime arent on TS in SOR, and are much more fragmented than i’d like it to be. I think that is the biggest difference.

FOO worked extremely hard unifying our SEA coverage to become as organized as they are. Some nights they all run FoO or FOO tag’s but that doesn’t mean they originated as FOO some are HD/KE/FS and others and then there is DC which also worked extremely hard unifying people of similar languages together. This coupled with the fact that they both have translators to translate to their respective language it allows for our SEA to be as coordinated as you see. just some insight.

Also of note our SEA/Oceanic coverage does an awesome job they never slack off and are always pushing regardless of the day. Whether it be the first night of the match or a few hours before reset. They do an awesome job and honestly they are a huge factor in why JQ is where it is. But the biggest thing we have going for us isn’t just coverage but the communication between our SEA and our NA and other time zones!

I think there has been one night I can remember when we had 60 TSym out on the field on a given night, and that was a LONG time ago. Its pretty rare. We average around 40-50 on primetime at best. I know cause I stack and count supply and players quite a bit.

I don’t think that’s fair to discount all the JQ guilds that go out there every night and fight hard. We have just as many if not more guilds than SoR for NA primetime and we stick it to them when we can. I don’t even believe there is a huge skill discrepancy(with a couple guild exceptions) overall between the 2 servers, what I do believe JQ suffers from is disorganization, our guilds are too fragmented, there’s too much ego, lot of times I’ve seen particular guilds zone into a BL and demand the other guilds leave to make room for their guildies. There’s too much “ME” on our server and not enough “WE”.

Well based on the amount of people SoR fielded compared to JQ in the past few days I would say it is a far assumption that JQ did more PvE than SoR. I could post screen shots but it’s not a huge deal just stating we have people who take breaks from WvW when matches are decided and train new comms or teach members or even zerg PvE events. I was merely stating we won a match against BG/SoR when BG countered FOO during SEA prime for an entire week.

I think people might forget this sometimes. I’m a sucker for stats, and all the power to you for analyzing server performance, but when evaluating JQ, the data is only useful if they are giving a match everything they got (in terms of numbers), which I personally don’t think they’ve done once throughout and entire week since the JQvBGvSoR matches began. JQ puts in just enough effort to win comfortably, and that’s about the extent of it. This is how BG got their win. The lead was left too slim and BG made a sprint at the end of the week that JQ couldn’t react to in time.

BG pushed us and deserved that win. You hit us square in the face and we didn’t recover and props to those involved it was crazy definitely led to a crazy fun reset as well. I know BG was a little worn out after the push but it was easily the craziest two weeks of WvW i’ve ever been a part of even if PPT /Score etc doesn’t reflect it.

For example, I spotted this wonderful gentleman a few weeks ago on SoR:

Guys it’s cool, I’m glad that I at least know of it. I’m probably one of the few GM’s that doesn’t care if something like this is out in public. The more help I can get from other teams identifying if it is one of mine or not or if I can see the armor, which is hard to do under ground, the better. Mucho appreciated all!

I think Jed and I had at least 5 conversations when he was on SBI and thing’s were crazy (literally a keep or tower was exploited nightly). If my memory serve’s me correct he also has some guildies who would literally make everyone get on their characters and compare their avatar’s. :P

Had fun fighting SIN and AoS in EBG today. Props to you both from AAO.

We sorta que’d in expecting some fun came on to see just our keep so we were trying to break out of the death grip you guys seemed to have on everything we had. It was tons of fun though and if SoR hadn’t hit SMC I don’t think we would have broken out cause you guys had us pinned pretty good.

Tons of fun today rolling around running multiple havoc squads on multiple bl’s just to relax and have fun.

BG wasnt as full as most would like to believe. Before the 2 guilds left, the q time on reset nights was about 30-45 min. on all the bl, now its about 15. We even would have an outmanned buff or on the edge of it about 10pm est.
Until someone can show some hard numbers what any server has for population, its all pure speculation. On the other hand, I heard JQ login server went down a few days ago due to a full server.

You do realize when people guest to a server it counts against their pop. JQ has a very very high pve base that is complemented by guesting because people know they can get their PvE events done.

The map was down literally 2 minutes if you guys didn’t come back to the map its not our fault.

You make the mistake in thinking that just the FoO zerg exists for JQ during SEA prime. JQ runs 3 full 80 man teams in that time slot, the FoO zerg that flips between JQ/BG, the TKG/friends that sits in SoR, and the mixed guild EB group.

lol… At TKG we are truly honored that you noticed our small guild. TKG has never, ever run an 80 man zerg – we don’t have nearly enough friends. Even with all of the might of Death Chainsaw with us our numbers are usually well under 30. Add in a few of JQ’s fabulous pugs here and there and you would be extremely lucky if we get close to 40 at the best of SEA times.

I will admit that if Flake is on his guardian he is quite… large and maybe you are mistaking him for another 20 people? It’s ok though, we will get him to play an asura next so you can gauge the size of our “zerg” a bit better.

Usually in SEA time we don’t have queues except to whatever borderland the Foo Foo Train is running in.

But, I will speak for the guild here, WvW has been incredibly enjoyable lately and all jokes aside – massive kudos to most of JQ, SoR and BG for keeping it fun.

Great fights to be had and great fights have happened. Definitely the most fun reset weekend we’ve had in quite some time.

Scouting as well I think should be added to this or mundane type tasks such as refreshing siege etc. These aren’t going to reward world xp but they are extremely important to defending assets.

Can’t say it’s their first time doing this… They’ve done it to both SoR & BG. We just have to hope A-Net gets a patch out that fixes this

If a tower gets exploited let me know I will talk to map leads on that map and ensure that we leave said tower untouched til it gets to pre-exploited level upgrade status.

We had the same group that Vena encountered do the same to another t3 tower we were ramming said tower but we ran inside once it flipped (gates hadn’t broken neither was wall) we got their names and reported them ourselves with our group. We also left full supply or as close to full as possible. No one stands by such actions and hopefully it doesn’t spiral out of control.

Back when I was with SBI, the exact same thing happened to us. Trolls would come on our TS to trash talk us. Swearing. Name calling. Loud Music. etc. It got so bad that we lost 75% of our TS population in a week.

Back then our enemies were JQ and SoS. Never figured out who it was.

We had the same happen a lot we had an obama soundboard and a Arnold Schwarzenegger soundboard. They can be pretty entertaining as well.

If I were to transfer to JQ and build rams endlessly would I be a Blackgate player or a Jade Quarry player trolling JQ?

No one disputes who trolled people it’s people on whatever server kitten over something. We had a person drain 1.7k garrison supply before because we lost a tower he put 2 or 3 g into. It happens its frustrating but it happens.
