About AoS:
We were founded on the principal of having fun and enjoying WvW while also maintaining a Server first attitude. While we are proud to be members of AoS the most important thing to us is our server itself. We have been a very vital part of helping Jade Quarry continue to improve as we field many active commanders and have tons of members who actively support our Server’s efforts to reclaim the number 1 ranking in NA tier. We will do what our server needs whether it be man up and try and take on the toughest foe they can throw at us or throw down an army of golems to start breaking some upgrades we are willing ready and able to do so if asked to do so. We have active commanders on at all hours of the day. We pride ourselves on our reputation as a guild that lets our actions speak louder than our words.

Alright I have thought about the situation long and hard and have a few things to say. First off to those EMP that have stayed on JQ we will support you and this won’t be an easy time as Raw was a great commander and a great leader for both EMP and the community as a whole. With that being said I don’t doubt you guys can make it through this rough period and be a stronger group because of it. Sometimes change is for the good and a fresh outlook from all is also nice. I look forward to working with you guys in the future and look forward to continuing to develop the community here that we set out to do at the start of GW2 when we chose JQ.
Now to those who left for DB and made a guild Red Essence (RE). You guys gave a ton to both JQ and the community and for that we are thankful. You guys have done something not a lot of people would have the courage to do so. I salute the guts and bravery this took. I hope you guys find all you want and more on Dragonbrand. The next few weeks won’t be easy for you guys but stay strong and have faith these next few weeks will define your guild as well. You were both an integral part of the JQ community and also I hop you guys are an integral part of DB. They needed some help in some timeslots and you helped them fill a gap.
Lastly to Raw, Christina and any others who were commanders/leaders etc, I respect your willingness to shake things up to keep the game fun for you guys you will take a lot of flak regardless of what you guys had done for your guild. You did what you felt was best and it’s something respectable in that.

Hey guys, Oxygg here. Founder and “other” leader of EMP. Raw is taking his crew over to DB. I’m staying over JQ with the rest of the guild. We’ll be restructuring to be smaller and betterer. I’m expecting to lose about 30% of the guild core.

For everyone saying our NA is doomed it wasn’t we were left unorganized on reset night for two reasons.

1) We asked EMP are you guys going to be on map (we knew they were transferring) noodles said yes they wouldn’t be transferring for 3 weeks. Take it how you will
2) When reset hit we had an empty map and a troll from EMP spamming it kitten people off. This isn’t reflective of the guild as a whole but when a leader such as rawnoodles who wants to leave on good term’s doesn’t even have the courage to tell his server mates that he’s leaving and not covering a map then what kind of guild is that truly?

That’s all I will say about the matter. I will say that those EMP who stayed behind to fight on JQ will always be welcome here they didn’t abandon the server.

I was quite impressed at how well all the quarrians rallied together to put JQBL back in shape, I know most of TW was quite surprised when we took garrison at reset from a outmanned JQ. Overall it was nice to see you guys pull together and get that BL semi under control.

We tried our best we actually hit a que when we first made the swap over to the map from EB. I just wish we had been given a heads up is all. But great fights on JQ BL I left right after we got reinforced walls on garrison. Btw the push into the lords room for garrison was pretty crazy for sure it was sort of an hope and a prayer because we know TW is very devastating in close quarters.

Dragonbrand before the transfers is a very weak tier 2 server. These transfers will make it into a tier 2 contender. Whichever server replaces BG ( assuming MERC is leaving) will just get roflstomped in tier 1. My personal predictions…..

Whatever EMP is going through at the moment, please know that there are people in the guild that are not moving and are remaining loyal to JQ. If you see any members on a map please do not troll them and make a hard situation already harder. Some are staying on JQ, love JQ, and will continue to fight for JQ. They have made the choice to remain part of the JQ family, please treat them as such!

This 100% there are a lot of people left in EMP who are staying on the server and want only what’s best for the server. A lot just found out about this today from what I’ve gathered I wasn’t at any of this but from what I heard from many friends it sort of was a leadership vs guild choice.

Real good fun fighting with TW / TWL and SF on SoR BL tonight!

Really wish we were fast enough to join or at least could have watched that 10 minute battle for inner bay, seemed like an epic one between SoR and BG. Lot of action on the BL tonight, good times

Yeah we battled it out at Bay for about 30 minutes. We were hoping you guys would tap some of their stuff and they would pull out, but to no avail

Once again, great fights guys!

Tonight was mostly just the 15 of us SF getting a feel for TW play style since it has been so long since we’ve regularly fought them. By the time the meeting finished the orange swords were in inner bay so we didn’t really have time to get a proper 3 way map fight going.

I was watching the north while we were hitting bay. JQ had a 30-40 man hit Dawns, then move to NE Garrison, then come back to Dawns, then move to Spirit. We had a few people in each spot to call out for reinforcements, but it never looked like there was any danger.

I don’t know what you’re talking about. SF never runs more than 15. Our roster is maybe 25 large at best.

We’ve been noticing the SF small groups, and appreciate it very much. Hopefully we don’t zerg you with our 5-10 when you are less than us.

We also never run LESS than 15. Every time you see an SF there are EXACTLY 15 in the area at that very moment!

So SF is the ones responsible for the 15second skill delay got it!

If snark were a measure of skill, we’d have some pretty tough players in this thread. Do any of you honestly think anyone is going to suddenly change their mind, or that some neutral party will be like “Hey, that guy with the clever insults is awesome! I’ll join his guild!”

I have respect for some of the posters involved, but not for any cheap words traded on here. We all know who would win that GvG, but don’t ever expect the lesser of the two to admit it. Very few guilds would admit they’d lose a fight.

Oddly, the guilds that can admit they’d lose a fight are the ones that scare me the most in game…

I’m sure VotF would beat us some and we’ d beat them some. I’d love to have the opportunity to fight them again because those times we have fought, win or lose, were all awesome in their own way. And I don’t think that would ever change were we to meet again.

As for the rest, how else am I going to get people in my Self-Defensive classes if I don’t showcase the lessons?

Blackgate was someone JQ looked forward to fighting everytime they came to tier 1. BG proved they had what it takes to compete when they beat us. It was a crazy week and they deserved the win. That win took a lot out of them and they lost some great players because of that and the patch shortly there after. Blackgate could definitely use some help in all time slots and I’m sure they would welcome any help whether its one singular person or a small guild or even a large guild. But one thing will be for certain regardless they have earned JQ’s respect. Good luck to you guys

I agree 100 percent with you on the blob against blob. Last night in JQ borderland we were forced to blob up to go against the EMP blob and it was a lagfest. I would say objectively that every server falls victim to this, which makes world vs worlding a bit less fun. Seems like players will do anything to win these days.

Choo talking about blobbing up that must be the most ironic thing i’ve read so far. Considering I have never seen Choo run with groups smaller than 30. Which I asked do you guys run havoc squads at all? I mean seriously I want to know! You can’t say you are forced to blob if you well do it by choice.

I can’t speak for choo but you can ask the same questions to emp or any large guild in jq and get the response your looking for.

Are you not in choo? I would expect you can speak for them. And I know for SF/WARD/AoS/EMP we would prefer not to fight blob vs blob. But when you wipe an opponent and they bring back more people to stack the deck in their favor you have to add people to combat that and it becomes an arms race. Thus my question cause I have honestly never seen a havoc group from Choo but I see a havoc group from pretty much every major JQ guild and TW usually has one (and they are all pretty tough)

I love the our NA crew doesn’t try during the week but every other timezone tries for some strange reason excuse from JQ. Gives me tingles inside knowing you guys need an excuse to justify your horrible NA ppt during the week.

So about that our ppt is horrible most nights we have one or two maps rocking outmanned. Sorry we aren’t stacked we just go out and have fun. If you ask anyone in JQ we don’t care for winning we care about having fun and knowing each team has our back. It’s one of the biggest thing’s for us.

Its more like leading for around 6 hours during NA primetime like I said we do 90% of the time. Considering JQ ticks as low as 150 ppt during NA times most nights implies that your NA crew is very weak. Nice try though.

You do realize during NA prime when it matters we had 300+ ppt (weekends) but when you don’t really care too much you do stuff like let SoR run around fighting BG while sitting back watching your 40k lead turn into a 38k lead (which will go right back up soon as the blob of SoR goes to sleep and we can cast skills again)

Is that supposed to bother me? I play GW2 to have fun, I’ll stay on JQ as long as they put as much effort into WvW as I do. If they just stop trying I will leave. When I log on I get in TS, I run siege, I will stay in a tower for ages just to keep a look out, I’ll stay in a tower building siege for hours while others are out collecting bags and having fun.

But I dont have some misguided allegiance to a server because of internets honor. Who gives a kitten ? I will give my all to JQ and EMP because they are worth giving my time to. If EMP turned into a PvE guild I would leave. I wouldn’t think twice. Just as I would expect to be kicked from the guild If I didnt make any effort.

So yeah sure I jumped on the bandwagon and im having a blast.

So Blackgate does’t put as much effort into WvW as you do?

No.

Blackgate would try hard for one week and then take a break for 2 weeks. Its not a secret. Any honest BG player will tell you the same. Not every BG player though. There are a few good guilds on BG that try hard all the time, iCoa being one of the hardest working guilds I ever played with. There are a few hard working guilds. But when I left BG the server felt like a PvX server. That was my opinion. I always thought BG could do better and they proved that with a T1 win. But trying hard now and then is’nt really my style or my mentality.

There are individuals that put far more effort into WvW than I do. Hveps of RUIN is a hero on BG. And does more for the server in WvW than most others.

This is just my opinion and in the grand scope of things it doesnt matter at all. My fellow forum warriors opinions are all just as insignificant as mine. The people that really matter are the likes of Rawnoodles, Waha Foo, Indo, the late great Archaos. And so on. Those are the people that hold servers together with their leadership, ambition and energy the rest of us are just footsoldiers.
