Oh gosh yes. So boring. Especially female heavy armor. Go sl*t or go home! No there are some heavy armors that cover up but they just look pretty hideous. Overall there’s just not enough choice. Even the gem shop stuff is just ugly, IMO. I buy gems like mad but I’ve only ever purchased one light armor set for my necro.

I really feel that introducing new armors every few months would really up player enjoyment in the game, and also sell more gems for ANet as people use more transmuttaion crystals. Win for all. Sometimes it seems they have maybe one person working on armor and he/she ran out of ideas before launch. And this is obviously not the same person who does the loading screen art.

Except if they do introduce new armor skins they’ll be in the gemstore (they act as just skins and you just apply to another item) thus making transmutation crystals useless unless you plan to transmute it multiple times.

Art in Guild Wars 2 is amazing! Ascended heavy armor skin is a bit weird ._. But I got my other skins for it anyways.

Hammer can be used on leveling and after reaching lvl80 mostly in fractals.

When something is done with NPCs which in that time deals more dmg than players then you need cc which is from hammer. CC for keeping NPCs alive so they can deal the damage. For example the ascalonian fracs map.

seems like the 50/50/50/50/50/50/50 4 weapon warrior has striken again. This time it was Oxygen who got beated up.

but if u really want some tactic then try to perform skills with hammer when they performs weapon skill dodge so your slow hammer animation ends right when their dodge ends. For example if u use F1 it stuns them on the end of their dodge. They can’t evade it then without using something like shadowstep because the animation forces them to follow certain path.

They are dodgy slippery thieves so don’t swing your weapon mindlessly. Watch them and perform your attacks when those can actually land. There is no point making attack to go cd, no dmg on enemy and text missed or similar to appear. This is slow way to kill thief but atleast you can do it.

If you still fail to defeat them it’s earned victory for them ^^

Axe = solid DPS/little AoE
GS = Mobility + Burst Dmg
Sword = Hybrid Weapon/Condition weapon
Longbow = Hybrid Weapon/Condition weapon
Rifle = Single Target Burst Ranged Weapon
Shield = Defensive Offhand
Hammer = Burst CC weapon, AoE
Mace = Defensive CC weapon, single target

All those are in main hand, except shield.

On offhand 1h weapons have a bit different or same roles.

Well no matter what people gets angry at you if you beat them. For example I have experiences beating Warriors with Warrior and getting angry whispers like “noob” “uninstall noob”. Just for beating them. With same class. And I didn’t use hammer build but dual sword + longbow. People are like that and can’t change it. Nerf wont help it.

I would like to say sword isn’t worst power weapon. It’s a hybrid weapon but the combo of f1(stop this and u get root alone) + final thrust, 5-10k dmg. Really nice. But you need to trait for it and you need to gear for it. Otherwice sword will be only a mobility tool and not a weapon.

I bet the OP doesn’t even use melee weapons as ranger. He demands very good mobility with ranged weapons? Warrior must use melee weapons to get good mobility.

The F1 skill takes quite long time to actually shoot, clear animation so you know when warrior shoots and ofc u can REFLECT it back to the source.

Ok thank you for the answer, I already knew about how it should work, yet it doesn’t. I would assume that they could easily fix this problem but they aren’t.
Even if they were to like it how it is atm. why not just change the destription to "You are immune to all conditions for 8 seconds. " ? Makes no sense.
As for the enginners goes, yes I know how you can put conditions on them and when they fall below 25% hp they don’t get cleansed, but in spvp it isn’t that likely that you are going to be able to put alot of conditions on an engy before he hits 25%, I know it is possible cause I have done it but still pretty hard.

And as far as I am concerned people in WvW shouldn’t even care about such things, cause there are no 1v1 or 2v1 fights. Spvp is a totally different category then WvW, and a bug like this makes quite alot of hmm… how should I say unbalanced things?

We also got endure pain which is like skill and grants immunity to power attacks(ofc you knew this already) so it’s cool to have immunity to conditions too! You sneaky necro want just to kill me 8seconds faster!!!

Also there is 1vs1 and 1vs2 or even small group vs small group in WvW! You just need to know where to look! I do these fights alot in WvW. That’s why I duel in WvW instead of sPvP, I got my own really customization able gear allowing to make all kind of different builds and no need to go the most OP builds.

Don’t listen to everyone telling you that it’s necessary to play a cheese build to win. I like a challenge, and I’m always playing the builds that have a definitive disadvantage to make a point. My Crit/Condi hybrid has no form of condition removal, because it’s a team build and I run with a shout ranger and a healway guardian who more than take care of the conditions, so that I can focus on bursting down the target. My alternate build (of many, but this is my favorite) is pure conditions and uses shout heals, which actually got buffed in the last patch, and Lyssa runes which makes for a very wonky but extremely functional bunker. If you want to just win, take someone else’s build and run with it. I’m a bit of a build kitten, and challenging myself via combat is the only way I keep myself entertained. I suggest that you try your own build based on your playstyle before resorting to keyboard face-smashing builds.

Your answer should be the first answer and decorated with golden frames!

About the certain builds. If you want to be able win tPvP you should go these builds even if you didn’t want to. Why? Because almost everyone else are using these builds againts you. They will use every advantage they get to cheat or make it easier to defeat you instead of fighting clear and nice fight. Ofc there’s people like you among them but you are the 1% of the gw2. It’s same on every game… people are like this. I was like that too. I just loose intrest in any game where I cheat, doesn’t matter how good game it is… no challenge no fun.
In tPvP you can keep your intrest towards the game even while using these stupid builds (yes I called the build stupid) because as almost everyone else are using these builds, it wont be easy job to win.

I find warrior awesome! I played warrior since 3days headstart and still love it… If I even try to play other classes I start missing my warrior. Sometimes as warrior I just miss reflection walls/bubbles and scorpion wire like skills.

Atm warrior can be anything… PvE dps or support/cc (support not really needed), in PvP condi, bunker, cc… well can’t be glass cannon.

WvW u can roam, 1v1, zerg vs zerg etc… everything works.

Also don’t listen the “hit your keyboard with your face to win” whine… every class has one of these builds.
For warrior it’s hammer/mace/shield or GS/mace/shield.
Thief got the dagger pistol.
Ele got their scepter dagger,
necro got terror mancer
I don’t know if guardian actually has one… it has very nice sustain never the less.

Those are kinda OP builds and in right hands a pain in the kitten if you have to face one.

Dual sword + longbow for hard but rewarding 1vs1.

Warrior got sustain based on high hp regen. Poison + burst dmg counters this. Warrior got nice condi removal which is coming from fighting instead of standing idle. Warrior got mobility and high base stats. It lacks few things but it’s overall loveable profession! It’s easy to play with and hard to master (as Anet stated[I agree with them], but which profession isn’t like that?)

Thieves have always been able to share venoms, the pathetically small radius for it was made slightly better this patch so people are currently testing it out. You don’t see it after a week.

OP: It sounds like you have a classic case if Post Nerf Depression. You’re so used to being OP that you feel a lot weaker because you were indirectly nerfed. Like all temporary depressive stages, it will pass with time.

Celestial stats are good for warrior. Not full set but for example I got almost half celestial. Where it works? WvW roaming. Sword is a hybrid weapon and so is longbow.

The only reason to get Traveler’s is the 6t speed bonuses.

Makes little sense on warriors that have mobility (GS, Sword) swiftness (SoR, warhorn) and even passive 25% speed increase trait (Warrior Sprint) – which doesn’t stack with runes bonuses so there isn’t even the option for a 50% passive speed increase.

Other 5 buffs are lackuster. 1,3,5 are Dinivity ones. Might aswell use those – even if they’re overrated too.

It’s not a bad set – just useless for a warrior.

When you choose Traveller runes you can replace that speed trait with some useful trait (making that trait almost as the T6 bonus reward) and you wont need to have a melee weapon to proc the speed bonus.

So basicly 6 traveller runes = you can choose any other trait from the certain traitline to replace the running speed trait and which btw only works with melee weapons while rune one doesn’t care.

Traveller runes = awesome for hybrid warriors. And hybrid warriors are WvW roamers. Not PvE or Zerging. Can do but wont be the best of the best of the best of the best.

what about if Anet made it so you can’t chain stun someone and not perma blind someone. some kind of cd is needed.

And that is precisely why you and most other warriors fail. You rely on those formulas which mean absolute kitten . We test things out in game. what works on paper is never the same as how it works in game.

Paper formulas are basically what it’d be if everything was optimal. They’re not usually what really happens because no one is perfect.

So if what you’re saying about regen is true, then I’m guessing it’s one of the following: some source was left unaccounted for, the actual regen is different from stated regen, or you’re counting some sort of healing as well for an average. I’d also love to know how you do it for the pvp lulz.

You can’t say an ele isn’t underpowered because it took you a long time to kill a bunker with a low damage build.

no, bunker/bunkerish ele are the most difficult thing to kill as a warrior specially a bunkerish one
you can 1v1 one of them for more then 40 mins without result.

Don’t forget I was condition warrior: dual sword + longbow and he had condition cleaning build. :P

I played ele since BWE1, full ascended accessories+r54+champion titles blah blah…all on ele, now I’ve switched to warrior for testing and these are my results :

1) Berseker’s stance > Cleansing wave trait+ EA water dodge+ER+Cleansing wave skill..all used at the same time

2) Warrior =Stability 8s every 40s( stance)+8s every 60s ( dolyak)
Ele= Stability 6s every 90s..that’s it, you can try for 2s stability every 15s if you take useless earth trait

3) Overall dmg = Warrior > Ele both using soldier amulet and same traits disposition
Ele needs to go full glass cannon to surpass a warrior in soldier amulet, but then the already low survivability drop to 0

4) Number of builds and useful traits = Warrior > Ele…by a lot

In the end I put 1/3 of the effort and take 4x the reward while playing warrior compared to my ele…OP or not I don’t care anymore as I wish the situation to remain as it is ( Ty Anet for loving warriors so much..pls nerf eles some more..or you can even delete it as I won’t use it anymore)

Ele got both CD ( huge CD on skills ) and CD on attunement swap..also ICD on each attunement every time you swap, once you use your skills in one attunement, they’ll go on CD..and remain on CD even if you swap back to the same attunement.

Furthemore ele needs to use 3-4 skills to cover the same dmg done by the warrior with 1-2 skillss, basically those 20 skills are there just for show.

There is no reason to play ele outside your will to play a harder profession to feel…dunno what maybe some kind of PRO.

Unfortunately this is a game so nobody kittening care if you’re considered a PRO because you play a harder profession, people want efficiency and fun, while the fun may be there for ele ( loads of sparkling lights )..there is close to zero efficiency

You missunderstood me. You got a full skill bar on each element, right? You use a skill on fire element and swap to water, now you will find 5 skills without cd on those, right? You will always have some skill without cd. Ofc warrior has the auto attack but it doesn’t do anything special, just strong dmg.

I played ele since BWE1, full ascended accessories+r54+champion titles blah blah…all on ele, now I’ve switched to warrior for testing and these are my results :

1) Berseker’s stance > Cleansing wave trait+ EA water dodge+ER+Cleansing wave skill..all used at the same time

2) Warrior =Stability 8s every 40s( stance)+8s every 60s ( dolyak)
Ele= Stability 6s every 90s..that’s it, you can try for 2s stability every 15s if you take useless earth trait

3) Overall dmg = Warrior > Ele both using soldier amulet and same traits disposition
Ele needs to go full glass cannon to surpass a warrior in soldier amulet, but then the already low survivability drop to 0

4) Number of builds and useful traits = Warrior > Ele…by a lot

In the end I put 1/3 of the effort and take 4x the reward while playing warrior compared to my ele…OP or not I don’t care anymore as I wish the situation to remain as it is ( Ty Anet for loving warriors so much..pls nerf eles some more..or you can even delete it as I won’t use it anymore)

but ele doesn’t have same kind cooldowns like warrior has. It just switches element and gets fresh skill bar, right?

I have both on lvl 80 and love both of them.

Warrior:

- low skill cap(perfect for beginners)
- probably the most played class at this moment, because:
- high DPS
- high HP(on Full zerk you have 20K…ele only has 12K)
- high armor
- great mobility
- big pool of weapons to choose from
- perfect for speedruns
- rules in WvW

In the end it´s all about spamming hundred blades(2nd GS skill) and fgj(gives you and your allies might etc.).

Elemenatlist:

- high skill cap(read below)
- usually average/good DPS…

- lowest HP in the game
- low armor
- average mobility
- small pool of weapons to choose from(staff, dagger, scepter, focus)

Ele has probably the highest skill cap in the game. You have 4 attunements(fire, water, air, earth) which means you have 20 skills. You only see 5 skills at any given moment which means you dont see the cd on the other 15. If you want to play the ele succesfull you NEED to switch constantly between the attunements. Ele is all about using combo fields and stacking might.

I wouldn´t recommend you an elementalist at this moment, because they are nerfed to death(in the last PvP tournament EVERY class was represented besides elementalist…maybe this will cause some attention of ANet – because all the QQ @ the ele subforum didn´t). The incoming buffs(which we know so far) aren´t too great and only affect conjured weapons and the staff(this is EXACTLY why no f***ing single ele was played at the tournament, ANet… -.-). However the ele is by far the most fun class in this game once you get the mechanics behind it(that´s why you still see some elemenatlists running around in this game…).

I would go with a warrior. In my honest opinion warriors are slightly op in this game(inbound 4flame in 3,2,1…) and they will get buffed with the october patch. Everyone loves warriors(I already mentioned at the top why)

Warriors have “low skill cap” when they goes with hammer/mace/shield or mace/shield/gs. So if you go OP build then yea no wonder.
Otherwice it has higher skillcap than thieves, eles(ele has to know the pattern to perform skills), Necro, guardian and mesmer.

Warriors can not spam HB, it has cooldown. Warriors are not thieves.
Thieves have high dps.
Warriors don’t have awesome heals, stealth or life force pool. They do have nice regen and defensive stats but those are countered with conditions.
Great mobility, can’t argue with that. I agree with it.
Master of weapons indeed has big variety of weapons to choose from.
You need a mesmer for alots of speed runs also thief would be good. CoF record has rangers.
Rules in WvW as long as it goes OP build. Also thief, mesmer, necro and engineer can kill it depending on luck (if u think a scenario with equally skilled players).

I have yet to meet one of these condition warriors that simply kill everyone in their way. Simply by their design condition warriors do not work against players with brains.

Warriors are the best choice. Hammer/Longbow dominates sPvP, Mace/GS is the best WvW roaming spec and in PvE Hundred Blades is as popular as ever. Condition warriors, however, are still trash.

mace/shield/gs is freaking strong. Some say OP. Condition warriors can do some good stuff but not againts something like necro, mesmer, engineer or ele.

In PvE I prefer double axe + gs over simply HB

I was bunkerish condition warrior.

My initial guess is you aren’t very good :/

I forgot I should have been able to do a pentakill in a second with a condition bunker warrior againts bunker condition cleaning build. Sorry, my bad.

I was also so bad I was able to stay alive all that time. Gee that’s bad.

You can’t even imagine a scenario where two people knows when a dodge the powerful attacks, when to heal and clean conditions. What’s wrong with you people? Always choosing the most insulting negative possibility. Oh well this is da internets..
