Bad storytelling? More like amazing story telling…but only if all this builds up to something great that will make me go “WWWWOOOOWWWW”…..that’s a good story telling.

I played my lvl 80 chars for 2 years …. i loved to play something else…But yea…this forum is full of “I DON’T WANT THAT SO THAT SHOULD NOT BE THAT WAY” …just accept it or avoid it….

I love the Living World and this one was amazing,i questioned my actions as Caithe,when i saw the asura part i thought “yea,faolain had a reason to become what she has become” but after the Wynne part all i thought was “no….she is just evil”…

I encountered 2 buggs in pvp today.
1. When the match started i got the msg “Team Balthazar Order vs Team Balthazar Order”
That is the name of my guild and indeed there was team Balthazar Order but not vs myself and ofc on the enemy team there wasn’t someone with the guild name.
2.As far as i know ctrl + click on something is for targeting that soemthing but it works for the players in the party bun now a plyer from pvp targeted another one adn i could see and press T to target it as well and i wasn’t in the party with him….not sure if a bug or new feature.

(3rd bugg….i used to have an almost 90% winning ratio…..and now i can’t even scratch the enemy….is the matchmaking really working?…..or my engi was stealth nerfed……or idk…)

Grindy? Do you even know what grind means?
For you,killing a mob,might mean grindy…idk what definition you have for “grind”.
GW2 is the best mmorpg if you have a job or you are a student,you can play it ina hardcore way as well,but if you don’t have much time to play games,this game is for you,a beautiful world with beautiful people.

I would not agree on being able to dye weapons,i’ve seen some games where the players were running around in this flashy colours…pink weapons…or bringht colours….jsut breaks immersion imo and just give the feeling of bad aesthetics and what would be the point on havig ascended different colours based on the stats…..or how would be to have a purple iron sword…stuff like that.

I don’t come often on the forum but i am always happy to see this “New Player” threads.

I started playing this game more than 2 years ago and i still enjoy it and i still have “OMG,THAT IS AWESOME” moments.
I can give you countless advices but i will give you only one:
Do not rush leveling to 80,there are so many details and beautiful things in this game you have to open your eyes wide.

Nice idea,i would love to see one but not like the other backpacks,facing the opposite side,i would like a skritt with his head somewhere over your shoulder talking and some minimal animations.

When you will be able to play i will be happy to help you.
You can rarely see maps without players in it.
Still a big playerbase and i know even a GW2 hater would agree,one of the best community you will ever find in a game.
I started playing this game more than 2 years ago and i still love it.

I think it’s a fun addition to the game and i’ll be honest,i never saw someone wearing it.
Some things will always be annoying for some ppl and some won’t…

Not a bad ideea imo,but we would need some smart mobs and mobs with almost no rewards so can’t become a farm but if you avoid killing them because of no rewards they should be a pain in the kitten .

I have guild mates who bought few days ago some trans. charges and i am sure they are not the only players who buys them.
Removing them means less money for Anet,the game doesn’t have a subscription fee so what i feel is that trans charges should stay the way they are.Just my opinion.

In all honesty, I think long bow should be adjusted to keep damage at max range and lower damage at a short range. Ranger should be good at range and switch to boons and condi at short range.

That would be nice ,huge dmg at mid-long range and low dmg (forced to change the weap) at short range.

Tbh the spotter “nerf” and the frost spirit nerf should be a god trade for what we got.

I am a Ranger and i have always been a Ranger,i had to defend the class on the forum,i had to defend the class in map chat,i had to fight to be considered an equal player with someone who was using an elementalist or warrior or any other class.

I was considered weak and lame only because i was a Ranger.i was forced to use a certain trait (spotter) and a certain skill (frost spirit) only to not be kicked from the parties.

If i was running around with a bear it was common to get the “bearbow” whispered or in say chat.

I chose the Ranger class because i wanted to use a bow but it was always recommended to play with other weapons.

We,Rangers,were mocked,considered weak,lame,not good enough, 1 single mistake was enough to be kicked…we were forced into using certain things by other players.

We had to endure all that for years and now when we are a decent class,when we can do dmg,when we start to be a book not judged by its cover you call us OP?

I know,you might be frustrated,you have to think before fighting a ranger now,not only spam your skills.

I will not say learn to play,i will say learn to adapt.

The point that people in this thread are trying to make is that the ranger class is in a horrible place when compared to the other classes right now. This game is easy, you can achieve most things in this game naked with one weapon lol. In all seriousness though, you guys have one good weapon that has a horrific auto attack leap chain and frost spotter. As sad as it is, that is literally all you have that is actually useful in group play. Every other class ever with the exception of maybe the necromancer brings more.

Don’t get me wrong, I have two level 80’s right now and am in the process of leveling a warrior and a mesmer. My two 80’s are a necromancer and an engineer. I’m not some meta freak elitist. Even so, my Engi brings 1000x more utility and dps than any ranger ever could and they aren’t even top tier.

There isn’t a point that should be made about rangers in this thread….this is not a thread about rangers.Anyway,have fun!

We are happy to have you here and i hope you will enjoy the game as much or more than i do.I played the game for 1,800 hours ,bought it almost 2 years ago and i still have fun.
Some advices i can give:
1.Do not rush leveling to 80,better try to enjoy the environment,the story and all the smalld etails the game has,Tyria is a great world waiting for you to explore it.
2.Join a guild,they can help you and provide you with the answers you need.
3.If you like to make friends in games don’t hesitate to talk with the players ,GW2 has one of the most friendly player base.
4.Make sure to have me in your friend list!

A quick question,when it will end the sale for those items,marjory…braham rox …etc…to know if i will be able to get them in time. ?

In the past most of the gamers were accepting and adapting,now they want to change everything to their liking . A game without challenges is a boring game,i didn’t like crafting before playing GW2 and iw as avoiding it,but i wanted to have Ascended armor and weapon so i challenged myself to get it even if i didn’t like crafting.A game can’t be only sunshines and puppies,you ahve to do some things you don’t like just make the reward worth getting.

Megaserver,such a nice feature.
I love it but it ruined many things for me.
I am a guild leader and i was playing on a low pop. server. When we tried to do Teq, we started organizing ,getting the guilds we could…etc….ofc…fail but it was so much fun.
At some point i started to have a lvl of influence on the server,many players knew me,guild leaders etc.
I got to that point where everyone wants to get , to be acknowledged as a player and guild leader,your words to be listened.
Megaserver took from me all that.Now i am just a player with strangers around me,who maybe never heard of me.
Even if we had a low pop server and things were not going well,we still had that.. if i can call it…bond,our little community.
Why i love Megaserver? I can do whatever boss i want to…

There are already a couple bosses in wvw, and pretty much no one does them.

but not as big/important as Teq,maybe with unique loot…

You know that most of the loot from WvW come from PvE elements.
And the ideea about a boss in wvw is not about the loot,is about fighting for it with the other servers,increasing the pvp aspect of the wvw not the pve.

What do you guys think about having a boss like Tequatl in WvW?
The Server with more overall dmg gets the loot.
I think that will make more ppl to come and will open some oportunities,a bigger rivalry,etc.
Just a late night thought….

What’s the definition of “same type sigils”?
same type = same name ?
or
2x different on kill sigils are same type?

Sigil of Accuracy and Sigil of Force on the same weapon,works?

So the box description is wrong…..tbh for that to be the final reward…not so….great.
Why don’t they make to get for every “milestone” an armor part and in the end the weapon…that would make sense.

The final reward for the Arah PvP Track is a “dungeon armor set”.
One of my guild members said he got only 1 armor piece.
Is the box description wrong or is a bug?

I just noticed how enjoyable is GW2 after the patch.I did some sPvP got an arah weapon box,left,went in WvW ,after that a dungeon.It’s like everything is equally rewarding now.
Idk why but i enjoy GW2 a lot more after the patch.

So +7% crit and +5% dmg can be used on the same weapon?
I mean are those the same type…?

So i want to buy the game but i haven’t seen a gifting feature and i know the ways of ANET kinda hard to give an account to someone.
My question is,how can i gift a new account and not get stuck with 2 accounts?

(bought mine more than 1 year and a half ago..so idk if you get a serial or how it works…)

I am a guild leader (guild not doing well atm) but since the guild was created months ago,we never had rules other than social rules and representation 90% of the time.
