The recipee you get after you defeat the last boss in Spirit Vale raid. Whole thing is hidden from your wardrobe just like Mistward armor. You cant preview it in-game now until some1 completes crafting it or it is datamined.
I doubt Anet will add 2 weapons for elite spec. So far we have 1 ES = 1 weapon mainhand OR offhand (or 2-handed of course).
When i look at necro i feel that we lack solid range dps (staff is slow and more of control weapon and axe is single target and only 900 range) so my next guess would be:
Elite spec name: Ash
New weapon: Rifle
New class skill: Necronomicon
Summon 5-10 powerful zombies that attack your enemies as long as you have lifeforce. Pressing f1 while necronomicon is active will detonate your zombies for extra damage scaling with remaining lifeforce
New skill set: Gadget sets (Chainsaw for melee damage, Mechanical Gauntlet for close-mid control, Elixir book for healing)
Some new traits:
“Hail to the King, baby”- Your rifle damage is increased for every summon and your cd are reduced the same way
“Swallow This”- Enemies hit by your zombie explosion cause another explosion
“Groovy”- (minor) All gadgets skills share your shroud traits
Now that most people use spite/soul reaping and blood magic is considered inferior traitline i dont really understand why most people still run with warhorns in PvE.
Okay, #5 is slight dps boost but lets be honest- it tickles. Swiftness for skip purposes is a joke since you catch combat state when running through mobs. Also the cooldown is horrible. Life force gain is good when you are at 0% and surrounded by 5 or more vets. Trash just dies so im not even considering it.
Maybe #4 ? daze is short, cooldown is long, animation is long and hard to use when we want to interrupt a specific skill. Why would we ? Again, trash and vets are dying fast, champs have breakbars and 2s daze in most situations isnt good enough.
Before HoT warhorn was great thanks to lower cooldown trait and all those life siphons from blood magic line. Now imo it loses its purpose. And most warhorn skins are crappy like hell :p
Some people like me who dont run gs (too clumsy and slow, easy to interrupt, avoid by blinding/evading, long cooldowns, low single target life force gain) stick to dagger and wonder what to use best for offhand. Right now focus has better damage utility (boon removal, chill, vulnerability) with better single target lf, and dagger is awesome for survi (condi transfer, blind, aoe weakness). And yet i still hear warhorn is superior. Can some1 explain to me why?
Because right now i think it is just a relic of the past.

No, its not just you. After seeing mouth of mordremoth and story boss i think most of Anet devs said: “Man this meta event was so time-consuming. Lets call it a day and go eat some donuts. We will throw some reusable garbage on story so we can do release on time”

New maps: 8/10 lot to explore, lot to find and see
New story: 5/10 short, short, short.
New armors/weapons: 5/10 some are ugly, most is decent, very few are nice
Masteries: 1/10 Exp sink to force event trains on new maps. Tyria masteries are just cof p1 repeated over and over
Improved graphics/game stability/new achievement system “oh, i made a new record on how many crashes in 1 hour i can get” and a kittenload of bugs that doesnt allow people to play even in core game: over a million/10

there was a location in HoT story with tons of chak veterans. A room of death as i call it. Just throw it into the open world, every 3 steps, every wp, every poi, every vista. Make it so every kill counts as a hero point but give no exp and grants no loot. Then show us some fancy skins or armours and bug them so no1 would ever find or equip them. Call it a progress and call it a day.
A number of Pre crafting recipes require a great deal of miracle since most of them are bugged like crap
Well i call it a b.u.l.l.kitten. cause i run on 64bit win7 and also have it. Must be my third party software then which i dont use or have installed.
Since release i was hyped with gs and ran only with it. Soon i realized that if i want to spend most of the time in shroud, then gs offer too little lifeforce generation.
Also, gravedigger is great… if it hits. Pretty much everything in new maps constantly dodges, stealths or interrupts. If it was any faster, maybe instead of lame life siphon in Soul Eater trait give us some short quickness ?
Ghost pepper popper seems like a bad idea, because against a single target is only gives around 4 stacks on might. The best power food gives 100 power and 70 ferocity, which is nearly 175 stats or equal to 7 stacks of might.
And yet this is good when using blighter’s boon. With rune of strength we can get longer might duration but what is important to me (especially after BB nerf/change) is might ticking. I just posted a good way to have self sustain without taking spite, since most ppl think this is the only way to make this trait worth something.
All I see is OP complaining about good customer service.
No statement on repair progress, pointless maintance with no purpose on technical site, no suggestion about anything in my system that would maybe correct the problem (send all crash reports from my files and specific configuration), and got only “if you are not happy go get your money and get lost”

What does it mean? Devs are rather willing to give refunds than to move their kitten and get the problem fixed.
People were expecting a long gathering and exploring process that would take months to complete but wouldnt cost much gold. Instead we have yet another goldsink. Just another excuse to add more grind in this theoretically no-grindy game
I find spite traitline underwhelming. The only good enough trait is Close to Death.
As for the might, Shroud#1 grants might per skill use, not per strike. So if you attack 3 enemies and strike them 5 times, you still get only 5 might. Siphoned power gives 2 stacks of might per enemy, but when he has less than 50%hp, so just when we want to stop our aa and start gravedigger. Death’s embrace is even worse since the treshhold is 33%hp. with gravedigger we hardly see any additional vulnerability.
I personally learned how to stop relying on spite and took Death magic instead, adding sigil of strength, Chilling victory trait from reaper line over decimate defenses, and Ghost Pepper Popper food (40% for might on crit at day and 40% to cause chill at night). With mix of cavalier/assasin/berserker gear i have 2520power in shroud, same amount outside it if i take signet of spite, 51%cc, 205%cd and 3k armor, not mentioning protection when leaving shroud and beautiful condi cleanse. Personal might stack is around 15stacks on single target and 25 on multiple. Gravedigger hits a bit weaker than with spite but it is still good enough. Comparing to Brazil’s video

when he hits with non-crit gravedigger he hits for 6k. I hit with 4,5k non-crit without spite signet so it’s still worth taking. If you’re interested then i link you my build:
With Corrupter’s Fervor you get 3k armor, easy obtainable with just gs #3. You can switch to sigil of force/night instead of accuracy and still have 95%cc in shroud. Ghost Pepper Popper cost around 4,5 silver

Aside from randomly saying, that it STILL requiers Itzel IV mastery (fixes after several character changes) the signs are bugged and dont lead to another point. First time it happened it was right in front of the portal to Dragon’s Stand, resetted the quest and it bugged at the first stone.
I am really glad that servers didnt just went down at lauch but the amount of bugs, multiple crashes every 30minutes-1hour just doesnt encourage to play. Thankfully my reaper works as it should.
People are acting like whiny little… seriously.
I play almost since release (started 2 months after). Getting tomes of knowledge to level up character was a piece of cake. Ppl who were farming blc keys can confirm those are easy to get. Speeding up through 100% map completion took me 5 days. Speeding through personal story along with “Victory or death” took me 2 days. Getting my reaper finished took me (lets count how much i played when i wasnt sleeping or when i wasnt working) around 20hours. What is the complaint here ?
All those whiners who complain about the amount of hero points they need to enjoy elite spec should spend less time on forum and more in-game. Look for a map with a commander and talk to him. They really often gather ppl for those champ hero challenges. Oh, and dont just stick to one map. There are places you wont get until you have gliding or itzel mastery finished so if you find any of these, just ignore and run to the next map. I finished my last 4 hero points on Tangled Depths map, which is 3rd and with only 4 mastery points.
Focus on one thing and be a part of community. Nothing else is needed.
If they will not change the problem with damage scaling in shroud, depending on holding 1h or 2h weapon (even now shroud does more damage when you are holding staff instead of dagger/axe/scepter) the dagger will be effective only for dps out of shroud (no point in going reaper) or survivability with blood magic (more LF generated, more life siphoned).
Imo greatsword is superior due to its utility. Pull, blind, perma 12stacks of vulnerability, gravedigger spam… it is also more interesting than just standing still, spamming aa with locust swarm around you.
I’m sorry but the moment i’ve seen the article i could think of only 1 thing:

Easy task- go pvp and grab some tomes of knowledge
But really, go dagger+warhorn obviously and as a first trait line take blood magic. I went with full wellomancer and i love the aoe (warhorn #5, well of suffering, DS #5 and then #4). Kill everything that is still standing with dagger aa.
Later on you can take whatever you like really. I especially like combination of Blood magic/death magic/curses for map completion. Nothing can kill you and you just steamroll through the world.
Closest thing to a cape is right now Grenth’s hood. And cultural heavy T3 on norn. But yes, charr character’s clipping through capes is an issue preventing further development. Same thing with “chair sitting advanced mechanics” mentioned last week. Charr are ruining the game’s progress :<

Outside of dungeons my favourite food was mixed berry pie for lifesteal, but since it doesnt work in shroud i’ll swap to this one.
Combine it with strength sigil and it feels… mighty
no internal cooldown, works on stackable boons (1ps warrior and we can go afk laughing)… im sorry, its pretty selfish trait but im loving it more than 15% ias :p

Randomly (around 1-2) times per day im having a disconnect from the game, and cant enter the website or forum for about 3-5minutes. This happens only to gw2 client and website, browser works fine on everything else and connection on Diablo3 for example remains perfect. Everything’s fine about your servers guys ?
in short:
Lower hits than axe auto-chain
No stability makes it easier to interrupt
No projectile deflection
Hits 15times which means any enemy with retaliation is like killing joke
The only racial skill i like to use and i think is useful is Reaper of Grenth human racial elite.
15s duration aoe chill+poison and most evil looking aura around your character make any bigger fight a cakewalk.
Right now condition builds for warriors are only useful on wvw/some unranked pvp. If you think about regular pve&dungeons then go zerker. For raising your crafting use informations from this site: http://gw2crafts.net/
IMO you are better off getting gear from dungeon tokens (Citadel of Flames, Crucible of Eternity, Arah) and laurels (ascended amulet, rings, accesories). Backpiece item you have to craft from mystic forge or farm some Fractals of the mists.
If you want full ascended gear then dont just think you will get it from open world. It is too rare (almost 2000h played, only 2 asc chests from open world) so craft armorsmith and weaponsmith to 500 as fast as you can.
Now the attack speed. No, currently there are no ways other than quickness to raise your attack speed with greatsword. Those videos show either Mesmer’s Timewarp elite skill or Guardian’s Feel My Wrath elite shout. On solo warrior you have quickness from Heightened Focus trait in discipline line and from Frenzy stance in your utility skills. When expansion (Heart of Thorns) will be releasend warrior will be able to unlock elite specialization called Berserker, which will increase your attack speed by 15% and give 3seconds of quickness on activation the berserk mode (F2-currently unavailable)
Simply by adding some inferior crap but thats not the point. The point is engi lacks a basic thing about elite spec. This isnt scrapper. This is just regular engi with hammer. No imagination from anet this time which is dissapointing really
Let’s see… Guardian got specialized virtues, warrior got f2 zerk mode and specialized f1, rev got f2 facet of nature. Ele got specialized attunements, mesmer got f5 skill, reaper got specialized f1 shroud. Thief got specialized dodge mechanics and engi got… Nothing ?
No additional mechanics, just weapon, traitline and utilities. If u consider function gyro as advanced scrapper mechanics then sry but i call this laziness

The main reason im avoiding all meta elitist bullcrap is because half of those elite zerk speedrunners either cant sync in stacks or dont know how to dodge/when to put wall/when give stability/aegis etc. When just 1 guy in meta group is lacking experience every1 basically die because of the dps drop and lack of survival. Got tired of parties waiting 20minutes on lfg to complete their “dreamparty” when the dungeon path of, lets say CoE can be completed in 10-15 with decent non-meta group.
Also, i stated this is pve. We all know there is pve and there are dungeons. They are a little bit different from regular pve, but you said it right. I didnt mention this is open world build.
Now… why not blood magic and death instead ? Probably because (if i remember correctly- i might be wrong since i havent played necro for a while) all these life siphons dont affect your health while you’re in death shroud.
From what i know HoT is providing enemies that can actually hurt the character. Rune of scholar is losing value at this point bacause even is SW it can be hard to maintain those 90%hp with glassy build.
And finally. Damage bonus. As is said, death magic provides +210 power. Soul reaping provides +5% damage (no other damage buffs there not including dhuumfire – vulnerability is already capped), Blood magic is just life siphon dmg (40 + 38 +120 if we take wells) and i find it lacking in dealing sustain dps.
As for curses. No damage buffs there at all. Bleedings ? Fury when we have already 100% crit chance thanks to the Decimate defenses ? Tell me what exactly makes curses better in power build.
Maybe my logic is flawed. If so, please zenith explain to me why since you’re so great and mighty pro walking among mere noobs.

I’ll make it short: I dont like soul reaping line. Im not saying its bad- it has plenty of useful traits but i’d take it only for longer shroud duration. Not good reason enough.
Gluttony- 10% lf gain… on most skills that isnt even visible
Unyielding blast- not required when we take spite tree and well of suffering
Soul marks/speed of shadows- just no
Last gasp- useful but activation of shroud cancels it.
Spectral mastery- okay, that one was really useful with previous one, but still they were inferior to Foot in the grave
Fear of death- <sigh>
Vital persistence- One trait to rule them all… one that according to ppl should be made baseline. Still, reaper’s onslaught imo outshines the secondary bonus of this trait.
Strength of undeath- One trait to find them… Combined with vital persistence made shroud last for ages
Foot in the Grave- One trait to bring them all… I remember the hype when this trait was changed into a stunbreak but in reaper line we have 8s pulsing stability so… why?
Death Perception- And in the darkness bind them… hard choice between this and the one above, great trait but again, reaper provides 2% crit chance per vulnerability stack…
Dhuumfire- was good when it triggered on crit, not just on shroud #1
Instead of this tree i would take death magic, mostly for condi clearing, but also:
Icreased lf gain from deaths by 20% (when we go for shroud-gravedigger combo on enemies with 50%hp it is OP)
Protection on leaving shroud (also great when we want to gravedig some1)
Corrupter’s fervor & Deadly strength & armored shroud – aside from +480 toughness and condi damage reduction it gives us +210 power in shroud. I like to sustain some damage. I like to have a good condi clean. And i like 2400 armor + 19k hp when running zerker gear.

Okay, i’ve decided to run Strength/Discipline/Berserk.
Sigil of cleansing on secondary weapon does wonders when we have to clear more than 1 condi. As stated before, Defense tree is really underwhelming now and the only real profit from it is CI… which is wasted if you are blinded, enemy is making evade or is pushed back by some1.
As for adrenaline we have signet of fury (30s cd, full 30 adrenaline gain instantly), Berserker stance (duration 8 sec, 24 adrenaline gain over time) and new elite, which has 1 fatal flaw.
Fury… As we saw in PoI, gs primal burst creates firefield INSTEAD of giving us fury. So no, i wont drop my signet of rage since FGJ has too short duration. Remember we are not using arms line so no signet prec.
My open world pve build would be then:
Str: Death from above (just for explo), Forceful GS, Berserker’s power
Discipline: Warrior’s sprint, Brawler’s recovery, Heightened Focus (Right now Burst mastery is better because we can maintain BP buff all the time with it, even on single target but in berserk mode we will only get 3 points of adrenaline)
Berserk: Savage instinct (extra stunbreak, condi cleanse), Blood reaction (dps wise, atm i have 2200 precision. In berserk mode thats + 308 ferocity which equals 19%cd) and Eternal champion for stability.
Utilities: Healing signet, FGJ, Signet of fury, Outrage, Signet of rage
I cant decide which traitlines use with upcoming berserker ES.
Defense grants almost immunity to conditions but lacks mobility.
Discipline grants high mobility, decent condi removal (a little better with sigil of cleansing on 1 or both weapons).
With 5s cd on primal bursts Defense seems most reasonable but then we cant maintain swiftness/25% movement speed unless we go for rune of traveler
Don’t forget Mace Primal Burst, it acts as an interrupt and provides a couple layers of conditions, including 4 stacks of confusion which will disrupt the opponent.
Mace is not condi weapon so i guess this is for interrupt warriors with perplexity runes. Not a majority of condition users.

Now it could be even more powerful since we will be stacking burning dmg instead of bleeds. Sword/torch + LB, Defense, Berserk, Discipline.
Sword use only for projectile defense (against rangers, dragon hunters etc) and fire aura. Build yourself into a tank and let the enemy kill himself due to the retaliation+burn
Now curious thing is, LB burst works perfectly with Cleansing Ire because it doesnt have to hit enemy. You create a fire field and that is your burst – all you have to do is hit the ground with it.
New primal burst skill for GS: Arcing sear. Create a firefield around you… ring a bell ?
Is the field created upon hitting enemy or just triggering F1 ? Cause i think like we might get a unbeatable meatgrinder with Strength/Defense/Berserker.
Condi ? HAH!
Deadly aoe dmg ? HAH!
Heavy cc ? HAH!
Just pop signet of fury for full adrenaline bar, then F2, F1, and you are allowed to shout KILL IT WITH FIRE! >:D

What is the traget cap of King of Fire trait ?
Does Berserk attack speed stacks with Dual Wielding trait ?
Does Cleansing Ire works with Arcing Sear the same way as Combustive Shot ? (doesnt have to hit to proc)
Is 1 adrenaline bar in Berserk Mode equal to 3 bars in terms of Berserker strength and Cleansing Ire ? (10or20% dmg buff, 1or3 conditions removed)
Does Blood Reckoning work with condition damage or is pure power-based heal ?

These are celebration boosters not birthday boosters. Birthday last 24h and they have a gold/yellow icon. These only last 1h.
As for the topic. This is just a graphic glitch – game is trying to put balthazar’s textures into your regular armor. Same was early after the realease when you could preview light/medium/heavy skins in a single window (used to dream we could use heavy armor with light CoF shoulders/helmet but the textures bugged, expecially when you previewed boots and pants of different types.
