Don’t know whats everyone complaining about, new flamekissed looks much better. Plus it was ridiculous to have a CULTURAL ARMOR, available for every race in the first place. There’s really no before and after here, I never bothered to buy the original one because I simply didn’t liked it. Now I love the new and improved flamekissed.
My main (Guardian). Primeval (head), T3 Norn (Shoulders, Chest), Radiant (Gaunlets), Arah (Legs), Armageddon, or whatever the name is for heavy karma armor (Legs). All I’m missing is Juggernaut, instead of Enthropy. And maybe change the T3 shoulders with Radiant, though I really like T3 shoulders so I might not change it. Gotta love Zodiac Staff though, simply the best!
Actually anet doesn’t help you AT ALL. I deleted a character and had no choice but to delete the skin since it was soulbound (there was no transmutation splitter at that time). A skin I spent $10 on, mind you. All the help I got was, “we’re sorry we can’t help you”. Which is complete BS because they’re very capable of giving me back the armor and it probably wouldn’t take them more than 20 mins doing it. Then to make things worse, I asked nicely if there was any plans in the future to have an NPC who you could talk to to regain those items (ala costume merchant in GW1), or through something like the achievement panel. And again, all the majestic help I got was, “no, we’re not working on anything to improve that in the future, please feel free to ask for help if you have any other problem”. Really? I’ve been playing GW since May 2006 (that’s more than 7 years!), and I’ve never had a single problem with anet, and the first time I ask for help with something I know for a fact, they can fix, it won’t cost them a dime, and they can do it in less than 5 mins, all I got was a mediocre apology that basically said “scr3w you, for playing and supporting our game for all these years”. Anyways rant over, now I know there HAS been instances were they have gave the item back (in other words they pretty much lied to me), so I’ll just have to submit another “OH MA GAWD HALP ME PAH LEASEEEEEEE”, letter, and keep doing it until they give me back my stuff. ;D BTW +1, I’d give a +100 but I can’t.
This is something that would probably take 20 mins to do. So I don’t see how this is not in the game since day one. +1
Once again, I don’t care how many times people repeat this idea. This needs to be done with both achievement rewards AND BL skins! Currently if you delete any of the skins, even if it’s by mistake, you can’t get it back, and anet couldn’t care less if you spent real life money on it (BL skins), or spent hour playing their game to unlock it (achievement/LS rewards). How on earth is that fair?
I’ll say HELL YES to this, and make it work for both BL skins, and achievement reward skins. So any skin you’ve bought/unlocked over time, will become available at that NPC, or panel. Also, any of these skins should be available at both PvE and PvP at the same time. There no reason why I should pay TEN DOLLARS, for a skin, only to use is in PvP, or PvE, without being able to use it in both, unless I’m a mor0n and decide to pay another $10.

Mesmer Finally done! Love the Chirotophobia GS, and Aristocrat armor is by far the best for female Mesmers. Also has the Trickster set for some PvP action.
There’s probably several other posts covering this same topic, but I’m just tired of how pathetic Anet handled their so called elite skills in this game, specifically the completely useless racial elite skills. So I apologize for the double post, or triple post or what ever number of times this has already been discussed.
So i just wanna know am I the only one that sees how completely useless the racial elite skills are? The implication of a racial elite (nobody can use it except X race and only PvE), compared to the benefits, plus the recharge time? It’s honestly ridiculous. These are supposed to be the most powerful skills in the whole game. For example theres nothing more powerful in the Norn kitten nal than transforming into a giant Werewolf, Werebear, Weresnowleopard or Wereraven (I had to name them all because they sound hilarious, except werewolf), yet, whenever I see someone transform, all I can think of is, what a complete waste of time! And the same goes to nearly all the racial elites.
Why can’t the Norn permanently transform into any of their animals, until the player decides to go back into normal form? Think about it, you loose all the utility skills, you completely loose the healing ability, you loose your speed buff. And in return, you get an “elite” transformation, that grants you 5 skills, the damage buff is almost non existent, and the health buff is really not that big deal. Whenever you transform you’re really at a disadvantage. According to GW1 lore Norn have always been able to transform whenever they want, so why change this now?
Asuran suits, same situation, when you use the golem suit, you’re loosing skills, and a great decrease in mobility. Asurans are supposed to be genius, and the best thing they can come up with is a golem that lasts for 60 seconds? (mind you they last even longer than the Norn transformation). Also, when they summon golems, why cant they last until they die? Yes, in this case you keep all your skills, but in PvE we’re facing hundreds of enemies, a group of 10 enemies could easily take down the golem, so you’re not giving anyone no advantage in any way. Besides you can always lower it’s health to balance it out.
Charrzooka, loose all your skills for 60 seconds, which is fair? But only 15 shots? More often than not, you face situations where after you use the 15 shots you don’t get the enemies to half health, so why not at the very least make it last 60 seconds, unlimited shots, or just make it like Engineers kits. And we’re talking about an ELITE skill, which implies there no other skill (except other elites) that are equally or more powerful than this one. And a racial elite at that, which means that among the Charr, there’s no skill more powerful than the Charrzooka (except Artillery barrage and Warband). As for Warband, same as the Asuran golem, it should last until the warband dies, after all, that’s literally how a warband works according your very own lore, they stick together till death. Lower their health, and maybe damage, but grant them the ability to stay with you until they die.
Sylvari, Sylvan hound and Human Hounds of Balthazar. We can start by saying that Mistfire Wolf is stronger than either of these skills. Both these skills, just like their Charr Warband) and Asuran (golem) couterpart, should have no time limit, these skills don’t even work underwater kitten . If they’re too powerful, to not be able to last until they’re killed, just balance them out, and make them useful, so they can last indefinitely.
All of these skills are elite, how is it that a elite skill, which are supposed to be the most powerful skills in the whole game, are all nearly useless? Or lack the effectiveness than other elite skills have? These skills are PvE exclusives, where we have enemies capable of killing you, with a single blow. Yet, the elite skills we have, that are racial exclusive, that are supposed to be the most powerful in the game for their respective races, don’t even equal the damage of some regular utility skills, nor are they as effective, or useful, as some minor utility skills. Of course there’s tons of other pathetic skills (and elite skills like Guardian tomes), but most aren’t elite, nor race specific, nor PvE exclusives. Some of these even go against the lose of their very own world, or at least completely against the GW1 lore in the case of Norns (unless I’m missing out on something). So if these skills are all PvE exclusive, which means nobody is getting an advantage over nobody, why not buff them and make them as powerful as they should be, considering the fact that they’re ELITE SKILLS!
This would be awesome, and makes a lot of sense. Just touching the ground (sometimes literally the ground because it doesn’t even look like it’s touching the actual player).
Great axes, Halbreds, Lances, Hammers that are actually BIG, not hammers that look smaller than a freaking steel pipe and totally non intimidating (with the exception of like….3 skins? It’s ridiculous), which is really pathetic because hammers are supposed to be really intimidating, also Scythes (only for Necros/Thiefs though…maybe Mesmers? idk).
This could easily be one of the best suggestions I’ve seen. It’s ridiculous how they haven’t done this already. ANET!!! TAKE NOTES! And add this on the next patch. Economically you’re gonna benefit tremendously out of this. Just remove the key rewards on lvl 10 missions (keep the lvl 30 and 50 reward because NO ONE will farm those and call it affordable since it’s gonna take for ever) so they’re not exploitable. 1 scrap per chest is fair, and this should had been in the game since day 1.
Wouldn’t be easier if they just added Scythes to Necromancers? That would be 100x more fitting.
On top the PvE set, still looking for those Radiant shoulders, but until I get those extra 3k achievement points, I’m loving Kodan shoulders. Besides that, I’m done with his armor, now is time to get some Legendaries (Juggernaut/Flameseeker/Meteorlogicus…I know, I’m greedy), there’s a long, long road ahead of me.
Second set is PvP, I just had to have that armor, it’s EPIC!!!!!!!!
Hopefully they fix this because it’s really annoying. And it looks plain awful. If not I’ll just end up buying some other armor cause I can’t stand the disgusting blue shine/reflection. And its clearly not simply a dye problem, or else it would remain at night time.
And heres a shot at night, which looks perfectly fine and leads me to believe it has to do with the light reflections during day time, of the armor. BTW sorry the pic is a little dark, IT"S NIGHT TIME!
(edited by Pache.9406)
I’m wondering if theres any problems with the reflection of this armor(female version) during day time. Whenever I preview the colors, it keeps showing a baby blue color in most parts of the armor, instead of whatever color I choose. Also in most areas where theres light reflections (in other words, 98% of Tyria while day time), it either keeps reflecting the blue color, or it reflects gray. And worst part is, you can never see the actual dye color I used on most parts of the armor. So is this normal or just a bug? (I’m thinking is the latter but I could be wrong, in which case, I’ll have to change the armor cause I don’t like it one bit) And again, this is only during day time, but the dye preview and character select screen looks like that all the time.
