1,000,000% agree on this, multiple (or at least 2), dye channels are a must. Also let’s hope for some emotes are available at release.
Raptors so far animate, move and feel EXCELLENT. They actually feel like you’re riding a big mount and even feel realistic. If you don’t like the feel because you only care about a mediocre speed boost that feels, moves and animates like horse doodoo, then go play WoW or some other game.
ANET desperately wanted to make another female legend, even if she’s a nobody compared to Pyre Fierceshot. It all comes down to forcing yet another irrelevant and very unnecessary strong female figure. Even though we already had some great ones in place, that would’ve been a much better fit (Eir, Varesh, Jora, Livia, Devona, Cynn, Eve, Nika, etc…)
PS What was ‘quick’ about this question?
The question is at the very beginning of the post, the rest is just expanding on it.
With the August reveal/announcement of the newest GW2 expansion right around the corner, I cannot help but wonder. Are we getting new reveals? Or are we just getting a petty confirmation of the same content we got leaked back in May?
We already know about each new elite spec with the exception of Ele. We already know about the new maps, the presumed number of maps, and their placement. We already know about each presumed mount class and their respective mastery.
However, we still don’t know about the new enemies, bosses, adventures (or similar features), Raids. We don’t know about any enhancements or expanded development of Guild related content, PvP and/or WvW. Or if there’s finally going to be a new playable race (which everyone has been dying for basically since release and keep getting ignored).
So, what exactly do people expect to see this next Tuesday? I personally hope there’s a lot of details of each leaked feature, since we’ve already known of the existence of arguably the most important new additions of the expansion for a LONG time. And hopefully a big surprise to justify why such a huge amount of content got leaked, and there was never an official reveal until now.
Also I didn’t include any images or big details about the leak to prevent any kind of problems in the forums. Although, it’s entirely ANET’s fault if a leak so huge was out before hand and still decided to pretend it’s a """secret""" until a few months later.
Like the tittle says, game doesn’t launch.
I open the client normally, enter the account info normally, then press “Play” (or wait for auto play), and it never launches. Then goes back to the log in window if I click on the client again. There’s no crash alerts, no error codes, or anything. I already launched the game on repair, run as admin, checked firewall, and already uninstalled/installed, none of them worked. Game was working perfectly yesterday, and there has been 0 updates from either the game or my PC (which is fully up to date anyways). Already submitted a ticket but wondering if anyone else is having the same issue. Or even better, if anyone has an idea on how to fix it. Thanks!
Use popular farming spots, use multiple Alts for mats, but the game multiple times when it’s 50% off. Imagine having 10 accounts, 10 months worth of dailies in one month. Technically you can make massive bank and multiple legendarios using this method. You wouldn’t be doing anything elligal due to the fact that you hold certain rights to all of those accounts and you’re not using them to scam nor sell gold, it’s all for personal use.
10 accounts at 50% ($150). Let’s say it takes 15 minute to complete dailies, that’s a total of 150 minutes (2 and a half hour), to complete. 2g each daily, x10, is just 20g per day. Doing it for 10 months straight is somewhere near 300 days, which equal roughly 600g x10 accounts, it’s 6,000g (enough for MAYBE 2 legendaries? In 10 months…) That’s a waste of money and time. Specially when you have farms that can make 20/30g an hour, less effort, and more fun in a single account, plus extra mats, achievements, etc. And of course, more time to spare, enjoy the game, play something else, or do whatever you want with your free time.
Glider looks perfect, some people just really enjoy numbness and everything plain. Which is part of the reason ANET removes visual noise, rather than adding a toggle button for those of us who like the game to feel alive.
Wow you guys for real? Quadrupedal running is one of the main reasons I love Charr. No disrespect, but what exactly is your thought process when you decide to create a BEAST race, if you want it to behave exactly like a human? That’s quite simply absurd! If you want bipedal running, there’s 4 other races that appeal to that. No need to ruin a perfectly designed race only because of limited imagination preventing people to appreciate anything non human.
What Shaogin said. It’s frustrating because everyone wants to go from bronze to legendary in a day, but it’s the most effective way to maintain people within their skill level.
8/10 matches, the team with the most number of guardians will win, that is a fact.
All I’m gonna say is there’s dozens of MMO with high volumes of different races. Most of them feature different body types (take WoW for example). The only company looking for excuses because they don’t want to put up the work to please their customers/fans is ANet. Bottom line is, there is no excuse, there is no “too much work”, there is no “system doesn’t allow it”, none of that exist. At the end of the day, MMO history proves a new race is always possible. Whether or not they include one or more in the future comes down to one single thing. Do they want/care to do it, or not, period! Same goes for mounts, Armors instead of Outfits, Dyeing backpieces/weapons/etc., New Weapons, and every other highly requested addition they want to dismiss/ignore, for no real reason.
(edited by Pache.9406)
The new system is horrible, is the worst we’ve ever had in GW2, the in match point system, the league system, the MMR reset, everything is atrocious. Don’t argue with it, don’t reason with it, just go with it. And hope that next season they finally stop and think for 5 minutes about what they’re doing, for the first time ever test things with the players before implementing it, and then maybe….MAYBE, if we get really, really lucky, we finally get a slightly above average ranking/point system.
Or else we get situations where players just throw matches because they’re rewarded for it. It’s also another reason why losses should never give pips, ever. The only time you can gain pips from losing is if you played well, because someone who played their best should get something. Nothing big, but something. So that if they just throw a match, they have to put effort into throwing it! And of course they don’t want to put effort into getting their gear, so it’ll help deter a good amount of match throwers who just want gear.
This!
Nobody should get any kind of reward/recognition for losing, that’s why it’s called losing! The sole exception in this particular case should be the top player from the losing team, and I’m not talking about getting rewarded, but just not lose any pips for their effort. The only problem is the point system got messed up in the worse possible way. Now you only get points for playing death match. No points for decapping (which is integral to the game), no points for capping (which again is integral to the game), no points for side tasks (beasts, tranq, skyhammer, etc., which are mechanics that always decide who wins’loses). Now you just camp mid, play a death match, rez a couple of downed players, and get rewarded top player. The old point system was infinitely better than this, at least you could see who really influenced the game.
This is so true. The system is not horrible, I am, for my incapability to carry a whole team. But I see the light at the end of the tunnel, I will use my DH, and the planets will align with the stars, as the dawn of the new “pro level OP meta only” world approaches. “I once was blind, but now I see…” Thank you, dear lord baby Jesus!!!!
The solution to this problem, is the opposite of your tittle. Core specs should be brought up to par with elite spec, not elite spec brought down to core specs level (like the tittle suggest). Also devs should keep in mind that the core specs are what makes every profession unique, while the majority of elite specs make every profession look like another that was already in game (i.e. DH is a glorified trapper Ranger, Berserker is a glorified torch Guardian, etc.), and even though I’m not saying that’s a bad thing (I love elite specs regardless), it is truly a horrible design flaw. And considering that fact, I don’t see why create a power creep scenario, when we could’ve had elite specs and core specs on par, giving everyone the opportunity to play their profession any way they like (which logically is the idea behind having different specs), hence making builds more diverse, and the overall game more fun. That said, I also believe, like some stated above above, they forgot the purpose of having specs, and instead thought of their own sells, where new expansion, new elite spec = opportunity for power creep and force the cash in (with the potential, almost certainty, of repeating itself come next xpac). And that right there is sad.

I’ll post what they’ve already said about dyeing backpacks.
Substance E.Back items also take damage like armor and thus are not the same thing as accessories or weapons. They never got dye channels likely for the same reason that we only had the guild backpack at launch, it was never finished.
Backpacks will remain un-dyable so Anet can sell black and white wing sets. Plain and simple. If you need citation, then look no further. I’m the dev who concepted this glider! Granted, I’m an artist so I couldn’t give you the full technical rundown like Josh Petrie, but I do handle our engine daily.
Whether or not the equipment takes damage or not has no bearing on how the engine separates items. The engine sees armor as what is called a composite, it sees things attached to your characters like weapons and backpieces as items, and it sees gliders as a sort of middleground item/effect. Our file structure separates gliders as items, but because of how they pop into view, layer, and more easily allow for dyes it makes sense to basically treat them as effects. Now I’m not positive on this, but I’m going to hazard a guess that if we decided to make gliders as items, we’d have to retroactively alter the system in a way that would allow for weapons/backpieces to be dyed.
On its face doing this sounds like a great idea, since this is what fans want. As a fellow player I’d like this as well, but unfortunately our systems were not designed with this in mind. Not only would we have to go back and code each item so it can have dye channels/sufficient UI and prepare for the veritable bugfest that would ensue from altering a system that has years of work built on top of it, but we’d also have to retexture these items. Why? Our dye system is balanced around a red base color which has an impact on how every other color will appear when a channel shifts to it. Anyone who has played with dodging/burning in photoshop will know that red has some strange properties when it comes to shifts in values. Many dyes would have blown out/dull/oddly saturated textures as a result.
That’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s SO much more to the process that I don’t have a firm grasp on.
The devs here are gamers and we love what we do. We want fans to get excited about what we make because we’re fans, too. However, we have players clamoring for every fix/feature under the sun so we have to do a ton of prioritizing. Game development is never plain and simple.
Edit: Thanks Aikawa! I designed it but Chelsea M. modeled it. She’s a rockstar!
I rarely post on the forums so I just had my account upgraded to a developer one. So Tidgepot is indeed a dev because I’m Tidgepot! My posts earlier in this thread still stand. I’m sorry about the confusion :P
Like I said before, I’m just an artist so I’ll elaborate on what I understand as best as I can, but I’m no engineer.
This sounds like a it could be good idea, but it doesn’t sidestep the issue of categorization and what certain types of assets can do. The older assets would still be affected. We’d still encounter a ton of programing challenges and bugs from altering a core mechanic of the game and the years of code built on top of it. Every player and many npcs use items, so the wrong bug slipping through can have a major impact on everyone in the game. Not to mention finding that bug could be like searching for a needle in a haystack because of how fundamental this part of our system is. We’d still probably end up having to re-author and retexture all old items (which would take a ton of resources) and even if we did do that, more players may end up upset by the minor texture changes to their current gear than those who can’t dye backpacks.
Maybe(?) a workaround could be a new asset type, but our engine is old and finicky— it would certainly take a lot resources to teach it to parse through something so fundamental.
TL:DR
The system in place was made so we can milk the living dookie out of undyeable items (same reason we make outfits instead of armor sets). We will exploit every resource available to take your money. Period
So basically, people want to have all the QoL stuff, but never play enough to earn it. Got it! Why don’t you also ask them to sell legendaries for 15g? I mean, it’s too much grind for you to enjoy such thing, you don’t have enough time to play for it, and it’s not fair.
Actually, OP, you failed to mention any plot holes. You only mentioned things that haven’t yet been told. A plot hole would be that something happened in the story, as a consequence of something that hasn’t been told, or simply wasn’t accurate with that which was already established in the story. So until either of those happen, there’s no plot holes, whatever you’re so eager to find out, will come sooner or later. Just that none of what you mentioned is relevant to the current story. But it will all take part of it in the future, Nightmare Court, Pale Tree, Logan, Zojja, all will be told when it’s relevant to the current events. Also, nobody gives a penny about Trahearne, he was a worthless character, who was named leader of the Pact for no good reason, who never fought anyone (we did everything for him), voice acting was one of the worse in the game, and was absolutely pathetic. He got the death he deserved, slow, meaningless, and irrelevant to the story (which is why nobody mourns him or talks about him in the game).
All I read is a bunch of whining kids, ranting because Braham did something greater than anything they’ve ever done (cracked the Jormag tooth all you whining little kids have tried to do for all this time). So now they don’t like him because he can think for himself, take his own decisions, while you can’t do neither of them because you’re only capable of doing what the writers allow you to do.
So they need to die because they don’t kiss your behind? Why don’t you die for not kissing theirs? See, the axe goes both ways. The idea behind the GW story is that is like a living world, there’s gonna be people you like, there’s gonna be people you don’t. Deal with it! Braham is actually turning out to be one of the most interesting, if not the most interesting characters in the whole game. Why? Because he takes his own decisions, rather than kiss your behind. And much like real life, you can’t do anything about it (outside of crying on the forums like an ignorant brat). In fact, he’s about to go with his own people to fight a freaking dragon. Win or lose, that’s more than you’ve ever done in the game. Apparently you forget that the Pact defeated Zaithan, with worthless Trahearne as the leader, not you. And Mordremoth was once again defeated by Dragon’s Watch, not you (and that was only an image of him, not the real thing). If the world of GW is so alive, why on earth would you be the only one capable of achieving anything? Why don’t every one of you think about that, before hating a character because he’s taking the spotlight from you? At the end of the day, you’re never going to kill a dragon on your own anyways. A group of people, that happens to include you, with their own plans (that you also didn’t came up with), are going to. And lastly, Braham cracked Jormag’s tooth, now there’s something you’ll never in your life be capable of, regardless of what happens to him.

Well so far:
Nevermore > Bifrost
Chucka and Champawat > Dreamer
H.O.P.E. > Quip
Frostfang/Astralaria (tie)
Flameseeker of Prophecies > Shooshadoo
Erueka > Moot
I will add though, Moot and Shooshadoo are by far the best joke weapons. But this is about which legendaries look best, and there’s nothing legendary about joke weapons.
Forgot to mention, OP, Flameseeker does have complete arm effects, unsheathe (with sounds), projectile, footsteps, and pretty much everything every other legendary has, except Juggernaut, because it’s the only one that adds armor effects.

What they should do, instead of reducing visual noise for no good reason. Is add a very simple choice on the graphic options to reduce the visual noise (which is why removing it completely from the game makes no sense). Whoever wants to have their screen full of visual noise to the point they can’t see, can have that, and whoever feels too ESport to have effects ruin their pro game, can have that as well. Taking one option over the other is pretty ridiculous when you can add the option to do both, and let the player decide their preferences. It’s 2016, not 2006, the technology is there to make it happen. So again minimizing the visual noise by simply removing it, and making the effects of certain skills completely irrelevant (look at how you ruined fireballs for eles, for example), was a mistake by ANET, considering today’s technology. There was a slightly more complicated way to do things that would’ve made every customer extremely happy. And there was a drastically lazier way to do things that would’ve made only half of the customers happy. It’s pretty obvious which option they took.
And yet despite how long it takes to build a gate or potentially set up a WP network, wherever we go, someone has literally just set such things up. It makes sense in Core Tyria because it is a widely populated part of the Continent.
Does it make as much sense when all of a sudden one is set up in the RoF. Or waypoints appear in the middle of a crater where a bloodstone just exploded or by 3 blighting towers next to an Elder Dragons lair?
We accept it because game mechanics sometimes need to override the logic and that requires a certain suspension of disbelief. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t “feel” a tad weird or cheap on select occasions when we suddenly appear in near abandoned territory halfway through starting up a major battle elsewhere.
There’s ships and waypoints at Bloodstone Fen, I don’t recall Asura gates, plus its literally right besides the other maps. Asura gates were originally created with energy from Primordius, it makes perfect sense to have Taimi able to teleport anywhere within the RoF, and quickly build another gate, since currently, that’s one of the places in which more of Primordius energy is concentrated. And the Far Shiverpeaks (it’s not yet been confirmed but they already stated that they’re trying to bring new maps with every episodes. So either the new map is directly connected, or very close, to a previous one within the areas we’ve already explored (giving them enough time to build as many portals as they please), and/or there already are portals since the GW1 story line. And also, the fact that WE, haven’t been in those areas, doesn’t mean in any way, shape, or form, that no one else has been there. In fact, there’s a very small chance there’s any completely unexplored area in the whole world of Tyria, for anyone to conclude “there’s no time to build a portal”. Plus the fact that once again, it’s been established in the story, that dragons do consume energy from the waypoint, and with that alone you have a more than logistically reasonable explanation, as to why we travel to anywhere the dragons live. All in all, there’s absolutely no reason, to question why we travel around the world when there’s a plethora of different, reasonable and lore supported reasons, as to why we can jump to any point of the map, at any given time (even to a never before explored area of the map, which is something we’ve yet to do in the game anyways).
We’ve always had Asuran gates, which can teleport us to anywhere in the world, at any given time. Also, in the story it’s already been established that Taimi has her own super powered gate. Yet, some people still question why we jump through the map? Never mind that they’ve been a part of the game since GW1, never mind that they’ve been a prominent part of the story since GW2 came out, and God forbid I once again remind you it’s been a key element of LWS3. Talk about not paying any attention to the story for the past 9 years (EotN)… LOL
Considering the HoT Legendaries and the new mace I thought we were done with
sillyoutrageously over the top Legendaries…Shrugs As long as it doesn’t “coo” at passers by.
It ain’t gunna be cooing anyone with an arrow in its lung. Sashimi skewers, ftw!
~EW
I just find it very fitting for this legendary that your initials for your signature are “EW”. The skin looks great, but there’s nothing legendary about it, much like there isn’t anything legendary about the rest of the joke weapons (My Little Pony bow, Troll gun, Disco mace). But then again, Flameseeker of Prophecies and Juggernaut have always been my favorite legendaries, and a part of me is glad that they both remain the best skins for their respective weapon category. The other part is just disgusted that the new legendaries are infinitely harder (and more expensive) to get, than the originals, and a group of people decided that all your work, time and effort is only worth owning black Clauss (American Dad).
BTW: I will repeat/add, the problem is not the skin, I get it, ANET wants to appeal to everyone and it’s “funny” (according to no one ever). But these are legendaries, if you wanted glorified Joke weapons there’s the BLTC. And transmutation stones, if life wasn’t complete if the Joke weapons didn’t have legendary stats. Because as a company, we wouldn’t ever be complete if we don’t appeal to all those funny/troll people out there, right? rolls eyes
(edited by Pache.9406)
There should be more added features, like GW1 effects (or better), for a longer period of time, dependent on how much you drink.
No specific sets. Here are my top 3 for each weapon (no underwater, sry).
Hammer: Juggernaut, Mjolnir, Entropy/Genesis
Great sword: Volcanus, Eternity, Greatsaw
Staff: Nevermore, Zodiac, The Crossing
Longbow: Azureflame, Aetherized, Stormbow
Shield: Flameseeker of Prophecies, Ghastly, Glint’s Bastion
Sword: Firebringer, Jormag’s Breath, Infinite Light
Axe: Frostfang, Astralaria, Chaos
Mace: Chaos, Braham, Bloodstone
Dagger: Marjory, Incinerator, Bloodstone
Pistol: HOPE, Aetherized, Nightwing
Short bow: Chuka and Champawat, Rox, Feathers of Dwayna
Scepter: Meteorlogicus, Improvised, Emberglow
Focus: Anomaly, Mojo, Spectral
Torch: Rodgort, Tormented, SAB (any of them)
Warhorn: Howler, Ascended, Dwayna
Rifle: Predator, Ascended, Privateer
I know you said no legendaries but I listed my favorite 3 of each.
Am I the only one who thinks the footsteps, aside from slightly lackluster, look backwards? Like, shouldn’t the wider part of the claw marks be facing forward, and the narrower part facing back? It doesn’t make much sense to me that as you step (assuming you had giant claws of course), your claw marks would get wider after the actual step. If you look at a feline’s paw, and look at their claws, aside from the times when they intentionally expose them, they come out when they put pressure on it, and retract as they lose pressure. So by that logic, naturally, the instant they put pressure on their paws (when they step), their claws are more widely exposed, than when they remove pressure from them. Of course, leaving a “scratch like” mark is not the case in real life when you look at feline’s footprints because they have them retracted. But since I like to nit pick, I find it rather annoying that the “scratch marks”, that are unrealistic to begin with, are also illogically backwards.
As for it not being as flashy as other legendaries, just look at Nevermore (and pretty much every other lackluster legendary like Ministrel, Flameseeker, etc.), they got updated with time, so I’d assume with time they’ll get the others up to par as well.
Indeed is bugged. I’ve been trying this for hours, and nothing. Please keep bumping so the devs can work on this. We can’t continue progress of the legendary until this is fixed. This is extremely frustrating to say the least… smh
Hi,
This is a brand new guild, looking for players to start a PvX oriented guild. As of now, we’re focusing on this PvP season, and as soon as it’s over, we’ll branch out to other aspects of the game. Specially Raids, Living World, of course more sPvP and WvW. We welcome all kind of players to join, no pressure or elitist demands, from PvP to achievement hunters to PvE to WvW.. All we need is an active roster to start a large guild. Claim our own guild hall, develop a more serious sPvP and WvW core of players, Guild Missions, etc. Please feel free to pm or comment for invites.
Join the Tyrian Empire, join the dark side, we do have cookies, and lots of them, see you all in game!
Well they’re not going to do this so I’m not even gonna bother with it, although I’d love different skills for each weapon. That being said, what they should bring back is the build save feature. It’s freaking 2016, and it’s unbelievable that a feature so useful that was available back in a game that was released on 2005, but it’s successor doesn’t. Shame on you ANet, this is one of the things that should’ve been there since day 1.
This happens with various backpacks, which is kittened since some have been out for a while now and they’ve made 0 efforts of fixing this horrendous bug (Karka back piece for example). Same thing happens with most, if not all, gliders on Asuras.
Golden Wings
Kasmeer Staff (missed it because of the down server period)
I’d be happy with those 2.
1) Spirit Weapon rework (this was supposed to be the Guardian’s main feature and as of now, they’re no better than the tomes which got axed because of the lack of viability)
2) Hammer buff (it’s heading the right way, but compared to GS, it’s still lacking, specially in Pvp, also lore wise, this is the Guardian’s main weapon, yet, every other hammer wielder does better with it and makes no sense)
3) Signets rework
4) Retaliation and Aegis seem to be the Guardian’s main boons, more synergy between them would be very welcomed.
5) Passive speed buff
This post needs to be seen by the devs. We NEED the Monkey King animations, they’re already in the game kitten . And the current idle animations look dumb. Also some buffs but that’s another topic. If you’re gonna make Daredevil so weak, at the very least make them look awesome.
Here’s the deal, they’re called GUILD Halls, notice the emphasis on GUILD. A guild should always be about several people joining forces, not a one man army. If anybody has a problem with that, well I’m sorry, DEAL WITH IT. You’re never going to do Raids or claim a Guild Hall on your own, because it’s not meant to be that. You have plenty of other game content you can go and do alone. But if you really expect to glorify yourself soloing a group oriented content, you’ve probably hit yourself in the head way too many times. You really think entire guilds coordinate themselves and bust their behinds to claim a hall, and you’re just gonna do it on your own? LOOOOOL Child please! Here’s a suggestion, add more people to the guild (which is made specifically to have more people in it to begin with), claim the hall, kick them out, and stop the QQ. And lastly, before you start replying and cursing me because I’m speaking some sense into this post, consider this, regardless of how you feel about this, you’re not getting no Guild Hall alone, or Raids, no matter how hard you complain, because it’s GROUP ORIENTED CONTENT!!!!!!!!!! What’s next, people complaining because they can’t solo in PvP against a team of 5? ;p
As much as I’d love to see this, it wont happen. ANET is completely against giving X class/race anything unique that makes them more useful in X situations. This would mean that in X dungeon we would need a certain class to make a path easier, or doable. This of course is an excellent idea because it makes each class/race be more unique and important in certain stages of the game. Even in the books we can see examples of class/races being useful in ways that only they could be of help. Another example of ANET unwillingness to make the different classes and races be more unique, is the racial skills/elites, they’re all horrible, even though it’s supposed to make each race stronger or have an edge over the others in certain ways (other than plain looks). Another example is the personality, remember that they promised each personality would change how the world sees you? LOL Right……. It never matters if you’re a brute, a charmer or honorable, the outcome of everything is always the same, the only difference is a meaningless dialog that changes absolutely nothing about the story. So in the end, there are some amazing ideas out there that would make the storytelling, and whole game itself, 1000x better, and memorable for example: your ideas of class specific assets during dungeon paths, racial skills that are not completely bs, and are actually useful, and personality enhancements, story differences depending on your personality, maybe even personality bound armors/weapons, emotes, partners (other than DE, or DE 2.0), or other NPC’s to hang out in your home instance. The list goes on and on, but again, as much as I absolutely LOVE this game, we’ll probably never get any of this, and instead get a bs excuse from ANET saying how “unbalanced” the game would be. Because that my friend, is ANET’s way.
I’m really looking forward for Traherne’s return. Why? Simple, he needs to die ASAP. But just so the white knights don’t come to defend the fact that Trahearne is the worst and least useful character in the whole game, here’s an idea on how it should happen. We all know that the Sylvari at certain point will be revealed to be servants of Mordremoth. The Pale Tree show’s her true colors (Mordremoth’s champion/captain/right hand/or whatever), Trahearne (along with most sylvari who do not follow the Nightmare court) refuses to follow the lead of a dragon or it’s servants, and he sacrifices himself in order to destroy the Pale Tree and thus debilitating Mordremoth. And wallah, the most pathetic character in the game (who served no purpose other than putting us through some of the worse, unemotional voice over in GW history), is dead, and whoever liked him (probably because everyone hates him, and of course, some “cool kids” want to go against the flow), saw him die in heroic fashion. And for once in his miserable life, he did something useful. Please do something like this, instead of ANet’s favorite “let’s kill the random character that appeared out of nowhere, nobody cares about, and do a horrible job at making it look like a meaningful death.”
So there seems to be a problem with the male T3 Charr Cultural Helmet, almost all the faces have clipping issues with this helmet. A little help with this would be greatly appreciated, it is after all cultural armor, which is supposed to be race specific and hence, clipping issues don’t make much sense, specially for a T3 armor. I dyed the helmet Abyss so it’s extremely clear where the problem is, usually I use full Abyss dye but I can’t anymore due to the ridiculous looking clipping.
As for the backpack, most of them have problem with Charrs, but I find the Sclerite Karka Shell, rather annoying, since it’s pretty clear, the item is not attached to the armor, and instead is very noticeably, floating. To make it even worse, you can see that from every angle.
Thanks for the help!
BTW I didn’t include any of the costumes, but if they release all of them, I’ll buy them again. (Yes, I do have every single costumes they released in GW1)
The list is long, but here we go, Armors:
Warrior: Silver Eagle, Elite Platemail, Elite Charr Hide, Elite Kurzick, Obsidian.
Ranger: Elite Druid, Elite Sunspear, Norn.
Monk: Labyrinthine, Elite Suxon…sorry…Luxon, Obsidian.
Necro: Vabbian, Primeval, Norn, Obsidian.
Mesmer: Elite Canthan, Elite Kurzick, Vabbian, Primeval.
Ele: Elite Iceforged, Primeval.
Sin: Elite Kurzick, Ancient, Asuran, Obsidian.
Rit: Ancient, Vabbian, Norn, Obsidian.
Paragon: Ancient, Norn, Obsidian.
Derv: Ancient, Norn, Obsidian.
Weapons:
Axe: Chaos Axe, Eaglecrest Axe, Fiery/Icy Blade Axe.
Swords: Elemantal Sword, Obsidian Edge, Vampiric Dragon Sword.
Daggers: Dragon Kamas, Storm Daggers.
Hammers: Tetsubo Hammer, Wingcrest Maul.
Schytes (whenever they decide to bring them back as a new weapon): Bonecage Scythe, Dhuum’s Soul Reaper, Saurian Scythe, Soulbreaker.
Bows: Silverwing Recurve Bow, Storm Bow.
Spears (they already have the skins I liked [Voltaic])
Staves: Bone Dragon Staff, Hourglass Staff.
Focus: Celestial Compass.
Shields: Draconic Aegis, Amethist Aegis, Aureate Aegis, Demonic Aegis, Exalted Aegis, Eternal Shield, Magmas Shield. And please let them be as big as they actually were, not the bs shrunken shields we have in GW2, same goes for Hammer skins (ffs the staves look bigger and more intimidating than the hammers, with the exception of 3 or 4 skins).
I’ll gladly pay for all of these, specially now that we can actually collect skins.
I don’t know if it’s going to be a Dragon, it sure as hell seems to be the case though, with the drill at LA and all that, but not as a final boss, and rather the beginning of season 2, which will be based on the fight against that dragon. That being said, we better get to kill Scarlet already, she wen’t from being a very interesting character, to an extremely boring character, and now a pathetic, non-believable character, making the whole LS experience really annoying. And God knows we do NOT need to see more of her. Again, she went from being a great secondary character, to an awful main villain, and she needs to go, NOW.
I say we slay those chickens and sell the feathers..
OH MAH GAWD!!!!!! Could it be possible that once the Tengu are finally playable, we get to have chicken/rooster heads? :O Imagine THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tarnished Coast doesn’t have that problem (it seems impossible to get to the main map and even overflow is crowded). BUT, I have to admit that once I get enough Blade Shards (which means tomorrow), I’m done with it. Because like some already stated, there’s 0 story aside from the obvious. The only thing that might keep me from walking away from the event is maybe using some of my other characters and try to level them up.
Zodiac Armor -- Can the effect be changed?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath

I just LOVE everything about the Medium armor, specially on female Norn. But I do have to agree that even though I have 0 intentions of changing the blue effect, it would’ve been awesome to be able to change it. But then again, these are Zodiacs, and Zodiacs are always (and by always I mean since GW1, wich means literally ALWAYS), blue. And making them something other than blue, even though I admit they’d probably look amazing, would take away their mystique.
Backpieces aren’t class bound, you can make a backpiece as a leatherworker and use it with a light/heavy…
exactly….
i just made the ascended version with leather squares…. its now on my charr warrior. gets your facts straight next time guys.Get your own facts straight first, not everyone has every type of crafter, some even have none. I don’t play any of the medium or heavy armor classes enough to warrant a heavy or medium armor craftsman. Am I supposed to level one all the way up just for this one item?
Well, if “this one item” is valuable enough that you had to come whine about the price difference in the forums, then “this one item”, is valuable enough to level up leatherworker to 500. Besides, to get 500 leatherworking you need around 100g, which isn’t really that much. And you get achievement points.
Just tell me this, where exactly is the fun and intrigue, of cataclysm, war and dragons, if nothing is gonna really be destroyed? How is it going to be fun knowing that no matter if the mother of all dragons attacks Tyria, everything will be intact or rebuild as new, once the chaos is over. I’m sorry, but I hope L. A. never comes back (and I’ve been playing GW since 2006 so I’ve dedicated more time, and love this game much more, than 90% of the people playing right now). This is a living, evolving world, which means it’s never gonna feel or look the same (or at least they shouldn’t), because the world will evolve, good things and bad things will happen, and we’ll have to adapt. No more L. A.? Then we’ll find another place to settle (making the game feel new again and much more entertaining). Once Jormag decides to appear, the Shiverpeaks will evolve, once Kralkatorrik (or however you spell it), shows up, the ascalonian ruins will evolve, and so on. I’m tired of all the bs invasions, and bs disaster, so that in the end, everything ends up looking exactly the same (like it happened the last time a so called catastrophe struck LA). It’s time for a change, it’s still Tyria, so cherish the fact that you saw how it once was. But a living world will go through changes, and it’s just awesome that we as players get to lose the places we cherish, and get to experience loss just like the characters, which ultimately draws us closer to the story (which has been magnificent in lore, but visually, emotionally, and the way it’s been presented so far, it has been underwhelming to say the least, and now it has a chance to be great).

Ok why are you not an ANet dev? This game needs the rise of another elder dragon, AND a new playable race (maybe even a new class). And the game needs it NOW!!!!!!!!! There are 5 Elder dragons, 6 if you count the """""secret""""" dragon behind the Sylvari. One is already dead, so what is ANet waiting for? Releasing each dragon every 5 years? We need something huge to happen now for this game to remain relevant. And LS (which has never been a HUGE deal up until MAYBE today’s “cataclysm”), is not gonna keep the game alive by its own.
