Mithril Ore Exploit?

in Crafting

Posted by: Paladine.6082

Ori spawns now only come up every 24 hours not mithril (except a few bugged ori spawns that still spawn on the old timer). As such Orichalcum prices have gone up, and mithril can be used to transmute into orichalcum. Hence the market is adjusting to the new orichalcum ore spawn time.

Ori is only up marginally (around 15-20%) mithril is up over 100% so again this doesn’t work and cost benefit ratio on transmogrifying mithril ore is now a loss leader.

It could simply be that people buy mithril in bulk to convert into orichalcum… maybe. XD

People have been doing that for weeks and it hasn’t led to an increase in price – the price increase over the past 2 days has been waaaay faster for that to be the explanation. Plus the cost of the mithril for full stack at 40c each would mean you would make a loss transmogrifying to orichalcum in most cases as you would need to get around 30+ orichalcum from each mystic forge attempt, which is very rare.

That simply isn’t true – I have mined Mithril at least 4 times in Cursed Shore in the last 24 hours from the same nodes, which would make the respawn rate at most every 6 hours.

So which exploit is currently forcing Mithril Ore to double in price over the past 3 days? I presume some exploit has been discovered to lead to such a high demand given Mithril Ore normally sits around 17c per unit and is currently at 40c per unit.

I craft with what I gather. Thus it is much cheaper for me to craft than to buy.

The real point of this topic: Don’t rely on TP for crafting, you’ll lose money.

I have sold thousands of pieces of exotic armor – if I only crafted what I gather it would take me 17 years to collect the amount of gossamer and orichalcum I need. And you can quite happily buy materials on TP and still make a profit – I used to average close to 1G profit per piece through buying at the right times – even now I can profit but the margins are incredibly slim due to the freefalling economy which means I have to sell a dozen or more pieces to make the same profit I made from a single piece just 3 weeks ago. If I have to relist something because of nickel and dime undercutting, my profit disappears due to the multiple listing fees.

So yes you can make profit, but the point was the economy is completely kittened at the moment and incredibly unstable.

My alt is lvl 15 – all of his XP )apart from the starter tutorial) is from crafting 0-400 huntsman. Granted I used Crafting Boosters but that is a given (if you aren’t using them you are a bit silly). So it is 15 lvls you can get from crafting 0-400.

With the economy in freefall crafting is currently pointless. You buy your materials and by time you have got to the crafting station and made your items the materials prices have dropped another 20s meaning if you try to sell what you just made you are going to make a loss due to tax and undercutting.

Material costs of some of the major commodities (Powerful Bloods, Ectos etc.) are down as much as 75% in price over the last 3 weeks of which the most dramatic decrease has been in the last 3-5 days.

Until the economy stabilises there is simply no point in making anything at the moment.

ANET needs to do a bit mroe out of game too. The funny thing is I saw an ad on YOUTUBE of all places offering to sell gold. It was one of their side bar ads. I know youtube is independant of that kind of thing, but is it really out of ANETs ability to discuss with youtube and other large internet hubs to turn down business from gold farming sites?

And Google would tell them exactly what to do with their request because Gold Sellers are doing nothing illegal ergo ANet have no right to request their ads be removed.

What do you think about Legendary Weapons?

The only problem I have with them is that there’s only one legendary for each weapon, which means we don’t have much of a choice. I realize that there goes a lot of work into designing and making legendary weapons, but there should have been at least two legendary of each weapon from the beginning. I’m just looking forward to seeing new legendary weapons at some point.

No what I hate is there are 3 kitten legendaries for Greatsword and only 1 for everyone else! Furthermore, if you happen to be a dual weapon player you get bent over for >2x as much.

For Sword/Axe dualist you need over 3M karma, around 600 gold, 6000 mats etc etc etc.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

You as an “attorney” are arguing for the innocence of these Goldsellers. Either you are turning a blind eye or are incredibly naive. Do you really think the Chinese Gov would allow negative information about Goldselling sweatshops, prisoners etc. to get to the ears of a foreign visitor who may leak it back to the US?

A ton of accounts were hacked, most are hopefully shut down or returned by now. Maybe the early accumulated stolen Gold has now been moved through a chain of legit accounts. While the ones that haven’t been caught are still botting away. But the Gold was still originally stolen and laundered

IF I were running one of these scams that is probably what I would do.

Firstly I am not an attorney, secondly I am not from the US and furthermore, my work in China is specifically looking at issues of human rights and technology on behalf of the EU Commission in a relationship with the Chinese Government which has been formed over a 17 year period. So my knowledge of the Chinese penal system and human rights in China is based on fact and personal experience (not something you read on Wikipedia).

When I am in China I am there as a guest of Chinese Government, speaking directly to Ministers of the Chinese Government about many very sensitive issues in a very frank and open dialog.

Please do not assume that the world is based around the US and that everyone is as hated as the US Government.

Frankly your comments are incredibly racist and unfounded – you have zero evidence to support anything you are saying yet you think it is ok to say it anyway…

I never assumed 0.1% response rate, I said -if- there is a 0.1% response rate. Furthermore you are assuming that there is a person behind every bot which again is probably not true, there are probably a handful of people controlling many hundreds of bots, that is the point of using bots.

Furthermore, the figures for wage in Wikipedia are almost definitely wrong (I have been to China several times, I go there every year to give a speech) and are probably based on the “average” wage which is always scewed by high earners. The type of people working in a job such as controlling an army of bots are unlikely to be at the top of the bell curve, they are more likely to be in the left outliers (those earning under the average wage).

As of today (after months researching the issue) I have yet to find any empirical or reliable evidence supporting these myths of chinese sweat shops with hundreds of people farming gold for MMOs or prisoners being forced to do it.

I know several high ranking staff in various chinese government departments as well as a huge number of chinese lawyers and law professors and I can honestly say that in the years I have been doing business there I have yet to hear of prisoners working in gold farming sweatshops and given my area of expertise is the impact of technology on human rights, I am pretty sure the subject would have come up…

I would love to see a documentary on the virtual goods/currency industry though, it would be fascinating.

Assuming you are technically correct, there is a difference between Gold sellers using hacked accounts to obtain their gold then selling through what you claim is a legal channel.

It is like buying stolen goods then laundering it through Amazon.

In either case the problem is that genuine players are being affected by the incompetency of Anets handling of the issue. DR for genuine players trying to get gear, or over priced Gem>G conversion.

You are wrongly assuming that all gold sellers are using hacked accounts. I very much doubt this is the case. Sure there may be some but there are certainly those that aren’t. Of course ANet/Blizzard etc. will play up that urban myth because it creates moral panic but don’t believe everything you read from an entity that has a commercial advantage in making you believe it

As I said, I am no fan of gold sellers or gold buyers and I hate the bots as much as the next guy – but that doesn’t mean they are not legally entitled, neither does it mean ANet (or any other MMO company) have the right to stop them doing business or are handling the bot problem in an efficient and/or satisfactory manner. I am merely posing my thoughts from a legal perspective.

Rofl, did you notice how many spam chats and mails came from hacked accounts? As soon as one got reported and blocked another popped up. Now it doesn’t take a genius to realize that every single one of those accounts was stripped of their gear and Gold.

No doubt their are a few genuine accounts, they need them to provide a legit looking front and to post on forums promoting their cause indirectly. Or to trade on the TP to multiply their Gold.

Most of the emails and spam I see are from fake accounts not hacked – those with names like ASDFASDF – same with the bots. Gold selling is a multi billion dollar industry, they can afford to register legit accounts.

I see you have been on Wikipedia. Multi billon industry if Wiki is accurate but across ALL the MMOs and world wide. Plus these companies are in it for the profit. Revenues =/= profit. a $60 perma banned account hits hard on the profitability.

And my e-mails, blocked spam chats have very playerish sounding usernames.

Bottom line there is a ton of profit to be made if you hack accounts and steal gold. Why do you think GW2 was hit so dang hard by hacked accounts? Do you really think all the complaints from players and all the anti-hack measures they had to rush to put into place were just for PR?

I didn’t go to Wikipedia actually, it was just an educated guess having some knowledge of how many people play MMOs and understanding the concept of supply and demand.

Also your assumptions are unfounded. You state it is not profitable for a $60 account to be used I would argue it probably is. If they reach a couple of hundred thousand players with their in game spam and just 0.1% of those players buy 10G at $16 a pop that is a net revenue of $3200 (and given how long it takes for ANet to ban these bots it is reasonable to suggest they can reach a substantial percentage of the player base before the account gets banned. Still think it isn’t profitable?

Now add into the equation all the out of game marketing, selling of items as well as gold and the state of the GW2 economy and you would have to be a fool to think it is not profitable.

As I said, undoubtedly some companies are using hacked accounts but to say they all is stretching it a little.

yarn

Having the gold to gem/gem to gold conversion rates decided by players likely won’t have a large affect on third party rmt and it definitely wont stop it completely. EvE has been mentioned as an example of this working yet one search will show that it still has third party rmt. Plex also has a useful purpose- you need it to play the game

It squashed it by 70%.
Do you prefer RMT squashed by “just” 70% or go on like now, with RTM totally free, rampant and laughing?

What would you add to the shop that is “worth spending gems for”?

Nice skins for armor and weapons, appearance change items, exclusive pets that you cannot obtain if you didn’t play GW1 or buy the next version up of GW2 etc.

There are plenty of things they could include in the Gem Store to make it more attractive.

There are also changes they could make to existing items – for example, Black Lion Chest Keys are way to expensive and rewards from the chests do not make it even remotely worthwhile buying them.

They could even sell Skill Point packs for crafting purposes (it would create no in game advantage as the items crafted are just the same as Exotics with nicer skins).

Lots and lots of things they -could- do to make Gem Store a more attractive service.

How about nice particle effect addons where you can choose the colour?

So many things they -could- do….

What I find particularly interesting from a legal standpoint is the state of play with regards to anti-trust. From a legal perspective it is more likely that ANet/Blizzard et al are in breach of anti-trust laws by banning gold sellers than the gold sellers are in breach of any laws. I suspect it is only a matter of time before a group of these gold selling companies band together their resources and file a lawsuit against one of the big MMO companies on anti-trust grounds.

And speaking as someone who knows the FTC and the EU Commission very well indeed, I suspect that any such challenge would stand a very good chance of succeeding.

Realistically? No. I’m not sure about ANet, but Blizzard can definitely afford legal immunity the best lawyers.

Besides, the boilerplate EULA for practically every online game is that the publisher/developer reserves the right to terminate your account for any reason*. While I’ve heard it gets trickier in the EU, at least here in the US, that’s good enough for just about any judge.

* And I see no problem with that. Do we really need a substantial burden of proof for banning bots?

You are making the mistake that many make in that you are assuming a EULA stands up in law and it doesn’t always. Blizzard lost 1 case and have settled numerous others and that is just for banned accounts.

When you start to look at it from anti-trust perspective it gets even more interesting as I posted above.

No company by law has the right to prevent other entities from doing business by abusing their market position (or give themselves an unfair market advantage). The fact that ANet sell gems for real world currency and allow players to convert those gems into gold is a direct real to virtual exchange – they profit from this, it is a legal business. By banning other entities that try to do the same, they are giving themselves an unfair market advantage and preventing other companies from doing business – it is the very definition of anti-trust.

As I said I have worked directly with the FTC and EU Commission and know them very well – I also know one of the lawyers who worked on the Microsoft vs DoJ anti-trust case so I will have a chat with him about this, I am sure he will find it interesting.

I am just interested as someone who works in law and plays this game and as I said, I think it is only a matter of time before the gold buying companies pool their resources and file suit.

Remove the ability to trade in-game currency via mail, most of the problem solved.

There was no in game mail in GW1, but selling was rampant in that game also. How do you think they distributed the gold then? All they had to do is send them a message to meet in a zone and trade manual. You don’t stop a thing by doing that.

If I’m not mistaken you can’t trade manually in game.

It is still of my opinion that gold should just not be traded. Either that or a 5 gold gift limit on everyone each month. It’s cool that we can give each other gold but what’s the point? If someone needs gear or items, just buy it and send it to them.

I think given the choice to either trade gold or stop gold spammers, I’d pick the latter.

New accounts are already limited as to how much gold they can email. Blocking the transfer of gold is not an option – many people play with their friends/spouses/partners and want to be able to send gold without being forced to be in a guild. The “Your message has been stopped due to excessive messaging” or whatever the hell it is message is already very annoying. I was trying to email a bunch of stuff to my fiancée last night and it took over 30 minutes – don’t punish legitimate players for the actions of bots/gold sellers (which is what every solution ANet have put into place so far -has- done).

ANet need to

a: make their own conversion rate more competitive
b: increase loot in dungeons and off high level mobs (seriously have you seen the crap that falls from champions, veterans, dungeons?)
c: remove DR it only punishes legitimate players.

Also I do wish everyone would stop using the word “Illegal” as someone who works in law I find it incredibly annoying. Buying gold is not illegal, selling gold is not illegal, breaching the ToS is not illegal. At worst all of the above are breach of contract but not even breach of tort since the maximum penalty is banning of account (and even that is dangerous from ANet’s perspective and is challengeable in court for any Pay to Play game (ask Blizzard who lost a similar case)).

You might not like Gold Sellers/Buyers (I am not particularly fond of them myself) but please do stop accusing them of criminal activity (which is what illegal means – breach of civil tort is unlawful – buying/selling gold is neither).

Posting on behalf of my fiancée because for some reason she cannot log on to the forum and support have failed to respond to her ticket about it.

Please could you add a confirmation alert for removing items from the trading post. On two occasions now she has accidentally removed high value items from the trading post meaning she has had to pay the listing fee again making the items loss leaders due to low margins.

Seems a trivial fix and would make people happier.

Thanks.

Gold is relatively cheap to buy. I have not purchased any because the game isn’t good enough to warrant the investment. However, games like WoW and Tera were and the invest was warranted. Then you were able to play the game with good / best gear as intended without having to work 80 hrs a week, then come home and work another 30 on a game with no reward.

Insanity.

However, the amount of currency that is rewarded in GW2 is beyond laughable, there is NO way to earn 100g reasonably. Notice I said reasonably.

Buying gold is how these people got their money. Period.

Your hypothesis is complete rubbish. I have never sold gems for gold; neither have I bought gold from other sources; neither do I “flip” TP – all my money is made from crafting and I can easily make 50G per day and have made many hundreds of gold since I started playing.

Just because you can’t figure it out, doesn’t mean everyone who can is buying gold.

These threads make me laugh inside. How hard is it to understand that crafting things for cheaper than you can sell them or buying/selling on the markets will make you money? Seriously, it is trivial to make 50G per day in GW2 just from crafting (no bulk buying/selling resources on the market, just crafting and selling).

So many people PM me “How do you make money?” the answer is easy, I don’t run around asking people how to make money, I spend that time actually doing it.

It looks to me as though their TP maintenance last week introduced index caching to reduce the load on the servers – the only problem is either the cache is not being updated regularly enough or it is not being updated at all.

Caching on an auction interface is -always- a bad idea, what they should have done was throw more hardware into the mix instead of trying to cut corners/costs.

If you read the post you would see I asked for them to -either- charge the listing fee after sale -or- allow us to edit our prices. Obviously I would prefer to be able to edit my price than have to remove/relist.

To the OP – if you cant make money from crafting you are doing it wrong. It is trivial to make 30-40G (profit) per day from crafting.

The Gem Store, Gold Sellers, and the Economy

Gems are not sold for player gold, I don’t understand why people keep saying this. ANet controls the rate of Gold for Gems and ANet is who gives you the gold when you sell your Gems. If it was player gold then it would take time for purchases/sales to go through but it doesn’t, it is instant. That means that your sell price would have to exactly match their buy price at every single transaction which in real terms is impossible.

Listing Fee - Edit Price

Paladine.6082

Please either cancel the listing fee entirely and charge 15% on final sale or allow us to edit our prices.

Everyone I speak to is sick to death of the 1c undercutting on TP which then leads others to undercut that by 1c and before you know if you are 20 spots down the list and the price difference is only 10-20c. But if you want to make your item cheaper you get charged the listing fee again which means given the very low margins because the economy is in freefall, you make a loss.

Either allow us to edit our price (obviously include a surcharge if we increase our price) or take the listing fee from final sale so we can avoid recurring costs simply for lowering our item prices.

The 15% tax on TP is already atrociously high, repeatedly charging listing fees is close to extortion.

Whatever happened to "When it's done"?

Dynamic events meaning you will never know exactly when one is going on, they are hardly static in comparison to WoWs quest, where you start the quest and then finish and BAM its like it never happened. at least in guild wars 2 when you complete certain events theres an aftermath, the best example i have of this is when you help the little norn boy in the 1-15 zone and when he builds the guard statues they stay there.

But you do know exactly when one is going on, just press M or set your watch to the same timer as the events…

When enter a map for the first time, sure, you don’t know where events spawn or when – but by time you have “completed” the map you know the events very well unless you have walked around the map with your eyes closed.

Quite a few promises were never delivered on. For example:

1. Dynamic Events – Events in GW2 are not dynamic, they are the opposite of dynamic, they are in fact static. That exactly the same things trigger all events whether that be other pre-cursor event or timers – so absolutely nothing dynamic about the events system.

2. Persistent World – I don’t know where ANet get their dictionary from but they clearly have a different definition to Persistent than I find in my dictionary. I have yet to see anything even remotely resembling persistence (apart from the persistence of bots). What happened to the whole “You help one village and that will be remembered forever.” eveything I kill respawns, that isn’t persistence – bosses, champions, veterans, regular mobs, wild life – it all respawns – every single “sprite” in the game respawns over and over again – that is not persistence.

3. Personal Storyline – I agree with the OP here, the storyline is anything but personal.

I went back and watched the original game preview video on Youtube last week and compared what you see in the video to what you actually get in the game (despite the video saying actual game footage) and I was shocked at just how different we were told it would be compared to how it is. If you don’t believe me go back and watch the official preview videos again and you will see for yourself.

ANet have basically failed in everything that was supposed to make GW2 a paradigm shift for MMOs – which is sad and I hope they deliver on their promises sooner rather than later.

Check out the logo’s on the bottom right of this site that sells bots. These guys don’t feel threatened at all and are presenting their wares like it’s a legitimate gw2 addon or something. Which, with the way ANet is handling things atm, it may as well be..

Just because the images are there it doesn’t mean they are actually certified/verified. It is not difficult to add an image to your page

I wish we had the same bot problem in Borlis Pass as most of the people seem to have in this forum. I wish we only had 5 or 10 bots at our DE’s. Currently at Penitent (both ends) at Cursed Shore we have in excess of 30 bots increasing at a rate of 3-5 per day – they are pretty kitten smart too. We have, it seems, Bot Guilds on Borlis Pass (or certainly lots of bots are in the same handful of guilds) and our bots like to send party requests too.

Orr is completely unplayable now, the DE’s at Penitent are so infested you don’t even see the mobs anymore there are soooo many bot the games cannot draw them and the mobs fast enough so you are lucky if you catch a couple of waves.

We have been reporting the same bots for over 3 weeks and still they remain. Nothing is being done. Maybe we should organise a mass “We won’t play with bots” protest where all real players simply refuse to login for a period of 24 hours in protest at ANet’s lack of action.

They fixed the rewards in the personal storyline.

Yes they did, but not retroactively…and the fix was equally disappointing lvl 78+ greens or better is what I read – for killing the big bad, for completing the destiny of the Pact, for ridding the world of evil you get NPC food…

And you know what upset me more than anything? I bought this game for my Fiancée as a gift because she liked the look of it when I was playing the early starter – now I feel like I bought her a headache.

Well after pre-purchase, beta and early starter and finally a month of disappointment – my fiancée and I are looking for something else to do.

We would like to say it has been fun but in all honesty it has been a huge disappointment. After literally years of anticipation for what was billed as the paradigm kick for MMOs we feel utterly disappointed.

Why? Here is why…

SPVP – Who decided on the mechanics for this, it is ridiculous. You cannot use your own gear and it puts you into random teams. When my fiancée and I join sPVP in a party we expect to stay in that party, not get split up and put on opposing sides. Utterly unenjoyable.

WvWvW – Lag makes this unplayable. My fiancée and I are on 15mb/s cable behind NAT and it is impossible for us to both be in WvWvW at the same time as the lag hits 3 minutes+ (no exaggeration) – so again, complete waste of time and utterly unenjoyable, which is a shame because we both love PvP and met in an MMO on opposite factions fighting each other. But neither PvP option in GW2 works for us.

Personal Storyline – We enjoyed this for the most part, especially going through it together but the ending was an utter disappointment and the rewards were just laughable (low lvl items in the bags).

Dynamic Events – Can we say bots spamming Ember spawns and Meteor Showers causing eye crippling migraines? Also, what is dynamic about dynamic events – absolutely nothing. Same old thing time after time, same mobs, same number of waves etc. – it isn’t dynamic it is a grind fest.

Dungeons – Well where to start? Rather that a huge rant about the dungeons lets just say ANet have seriously let every single one of their paying customers down with the dungeons – they are without doubt the worst part of the game.

Armor and Weapon Skins – No preview in TP takes the fun out of skinning.

Useless Loot – Erm we have about 200 Black Lion Chests between us which we will not open because our banks are already full of stupid blue potions – the rewards from these chests are pathetic and the cost of the keys to open them is ridiculous. If you expect me to spend my money on Gems to buy keys you need to give me something useful out of the chests not just a bunch of transform potions and the occasional booster which is almost completely useless after lvl 80.

Crafting – Fun at first, exciting at first but rapidly became dull and annoying. With the economy in freefall and the complete lack of balance on materials (especially Orichalcum and Gossamer) not to mention the terrible trading system, crafting just became tedious. 15% tax seriously? Makes crafting about as fruitful as trying to milk a Risen Shark with a Warhorn.

We have tried to find something fun to do – guess what – we failed and after just 1 month that is a real tragedy.

I have spent over $150 on Gems for things like mini pets, bank upgrades, inventory upgrades, keys, armor skins etc. and for what? For nothing but disappointment.

When you add to all these other problems the issue of customer support, it becomes utterly infuriating. If I drop coin on a game and a bug has a serious impact on my ability to play, I expect better than “We are unable to do anything at this time but we are aware of the bugs kthxbye” as the response from support.

So we are going to find something else to do with our time and our money. I hope GW2 becomes everything it promised it would, and we will check back every now and again – but to say we are disappointed at this point would be a huge understatement.

Maggs now impossible?

Paladine.6082

I have no problem with any other part of the run but if the Fire Imps are aggroing Maggs as soon as they spawn and there is no way to pull them off, there is no way to stop Maggs dying. As for pugging, we were fine until there were like 20 mobs in the room – seems the longer the timer goes the more mobs spawn, we couldn’t see players for mobs at one point – it is ridiculous.

Makes no difference we tried that method too, the Fire Imps still aggro’d Maggs with everyone in the room – no way for us to stop Maggs from dying with those Fire Imps hitting him.

Paladine.6082

Went in today, 2 Guardians, 2 Warriors and an Elementalist. Both Guards spec’d for support, both warriors in toughness armor with full exotics and not sure on ele build. We were using potions, foods, banners and even runes for extra 10% dmg.

The bomb room is impossible. We tried for over an hour with every method we could think of.

Couple of people staying out whilst 3 kite, then coming in on rotation as people die – no joy everyone dies.

1 at a time kiting on rotation (we got to 87% here but never any further).

Everyone in at once trying to kill the mobs (snowball’s chance in hell).

And now to make it worse the call target system is not working (I saw it on my screen when I called a target, no-one else did and I confirmed this on my fiancée’s screen right next to me).

And to make it even worse, Fire Imps spawn and aggro Maggs no matter how many people you have in the room.

So this path is now impossible to complete as far as I can see – has anyone actually managed it since the patch and if so, what tactics did you use.

I get more frustrated with this game every day now and I am about >< close to just leaving, which would be a shame for ANet because I am a substantial gem buyer.

Balance out Tier 6 Material Drops / Nodes

in Suggestions

Posted by: Paladine.6082

Paladine.6082

Currently the nodes for Orichalcum and drop rates for both Orichalcum and Gossamer (from bags/salvaging) are far far lower than that of Hardened Leather Sections (which is why the latter are 10x cheaper to buy on TP) this means that profit margins on Armorsmithing are significantly lower than on Leatherworking (and inversely the cost of heavy armor is significantly higher than that of medium).

Please balance this out, the drop/salvage rate of both the main materials needed for heavy armor are ridiculously difficult to obtain, this is unfair on armorsmiths and all people who chose to play a heavy armor class.

yeah numerous people have said for me to craft, but im a leather worker. which means no leather drops ever, i have spend 2 days grinding for lether then accidentally made a bag in discovery then went o kittens

Why do people say they have problem getting leather? I get more leather than anything else, so much in fact that I frequently have to NPC full stacks (since the price on TP is so low that you end up making a loss selling it on there once you pay the 15% tax).

If anything I would say far too much leather drops and my fiancée would agree. You should try farming Gossamer, now that is what you call a low drop rate.
