So i just realized ANET said the spec thats gets shouts, gets 6 of them. So does that mean we get a F2 shout? Because 6-0=5 skills and DS skills are classified as DS skills and wep skills with wep skills as to never double dip in traits.
Or maybe im just off in the deep end?
Edit: Maybe a use X% life force for X skill(shout) for F2?

Well they did say they wanted a big bad monster from horror movie feel for us. Most of the time the monsters in horror movies dont get stopped by much(cc), they just move slow themselves. So good chance we will be getting that defiance bar imo.
Been sitting on my runes of ice and sigil of ice for a couple weeks now in anticipation for this, good to know i wasnt wrong. With the new spite minor applying 5 stacks of vuln whenever we apply chill, i can see us throwing around max stacks of vuln fairly easily in pvp depending on how much extra chill we get with new stuff.
Edit: Depending on if we become a huge threat ppl might actually start using runes of svanir(-50% chill duration) just for us, which makes me sad since that one rune alone can hurt chill effectiveness quite alot. Oh and classes like warr+chronomancer with 25/33% chill reduction traits on top of that…..and -condi duration food in wvw……..

The first word in that quote is pretty important imo.

Which means we could be the profession that doesn’t get a new skill type.
Granted this could only be for one profession(and maybe not ours), you just never know. However i do like our corruptions+spectrals and think they could expand on them more from what they are now.
The shouts thing is all speculation and not for sure. That being said, if we get shouts, i just hope they are nice offensive shouts in the form of orders, or something similar.

Oh kitten , your right and i didnt even notice that there is two of those buggers doing that as well. Kinda thought the second one that was shot off front he left was a player but noticed it was also a blood fiend. Guess my prediction goes out the window.
I did look to see at what Zetsumei mentioned, and i def see the generic mesmer auto animation(probably a 2-5 skill) then into a slashing combo with necro colored effects(auto?).
I did notice at 1:50-1:53 you can see what looks like a life blast traited for dhuumfire being fired off, then a green circular aoe with the same projectile circling it. Possibly a new skill we get as a utility or new Deathshroud skill that Dhuumfire affects?
One of the few skills that actually scales well with multiple opponents that we have, in my opinion, is signet of the locust active. Even with no healing power at base it heals for 970 per opponent hit, so just shy of 5k vs 5 ppl. Granted if we are getting trained on by five people the 5k hp will not help all too much but it is a nice push in the right direction in terms of skill scaling.
I think ANET might have noticed this a little bit seeing as how our new signet grandmaster trait has all of our current signet traits rolled into one with an auto proccing signet of the locust at 50% hp on top of it. That and according tot he traits tooltip its cd got lowered to 30sec(and the trait itself lowers by another 20% for a 24sec cd).
I am trying to stay optimistic with the upcoming trait changes and what not. I know we only received minor buffs to power and really nothing for condi except MAYBE more survivability. However, when i was looking at the traits i noticed things like Spinal Shivers being unblockable and Signet of the Locust having a 30sec cooldown.
Sooo maybe just maaaayyybe, they did a good bit of “buffs” and balancing with our skills which is why are traits did not see a huge overhaul. Any thoughts?

Orders could also be given to us as aoe auras, makes more sense imo, but who knows.
The well used in the video looks like it is possibly their elite well, Gravity Well. Watching it closely it does damage and pulls anything in it towards the center of the well on each pulse. Sadly this idea(pull/knockdown well) has been suggested on these forums for necros several times…only Mes got it, seems like Rev all over again.
Even if it is a shatter it is still only one extra cast of f5. F5 does not reset CDs, it puts everything as it was back when you first activated it before the revert. Which means…
-cast f5 and do all the things you want to do
-f5 ends and you were back to how you were when it began
-you cast sig(now on cd) and f5 is no longer on cd
-you cast f5 again(while sig is now on full cd) do your stuff and it ends buttttt, when it reverts you back your sig will be back to how it was when the second f5 was cast(so full cd)
I did notice on the tooltip for chill of death that spinal shivers in now unblockable. Now that being said and the chances being extremely low, maybe a lot of changes were done to our actual skills instead of our traits? And yes, i know im being stupidly optimistic, but one can dream right?

What info you have for the Rev class right now+what is in the beta is not the finished class. There will be more legends for you to use once the class is fully revealed. The one in the beta is just limited to using what info has been released about rev(hence only having 3 traitlines and two weapon sets).
I was mainly just referring to the above posts of condi having lower potential max dps compared to zerker,in what i would assume, would be a single target encounter. Epi obviously throws encounters for condi in their favor if there is tons of mobs to aoe that keep respawning due to the low cd of epi+copying full stacks(100+) of bleeds and everything else to the mobs instantly.
Was just figuring a 6/6/0/0/2 condi necro in full sinister(taking close to death and not dhuumfire since it would be covered by other classes) could not be that much less potential dps as a full zerker necro. But of course i have not looked into/done math to see.

Is the difference in maximum dmg output bewteen condi+zerker really so far apart? With condi running full sinster i figured it wouldnt be that far off tbh…..obv not talking about burst dmg though zerk will always win that.
Not 100% sure but even pre patch doom’s fear would never proc the runes only staff 5 and spectral wall(if they used a skill into it or u managed to drop it right on them during skill use), if course I could be wrong as I haven’t ran perplex runes in quite a while

Hate to ruin it even more for you, but Kam also has unique projectiles. If you play a necro and use the aoe grab move(#4) or plague blast(the underwater version of life blast) you shoot sharks as your projectile.
The ones i posted were moreover a suggestion/ideas for sausageninja, but it is new to me for death shiver and not running 6/2/0/0/6 on pwr is somehow also the meta. Also, no lich.

First one is if you want to keep as much power as possible(only 30 less power than a normal 6/2/0/0/6 setup), second one for if you don’t mind losing more power to pick up an alright GM(not amazing but it has its usefulness). Offhand dagger can also be swapped for focus if u want more burst/boonrip/vuln, i guess staff too i just dont like using staff on pwr build myself
Now that I think about it, it’s almost as if they don’t put it in the tooltip so that if we ever find a good use for those sort of effects they can give us a nice “bug fix”.

Try a 3/0/5/0/6 taking normal traits in soul reaping and spite and using protection on wells with either reapers protection or death shivers for aoe vuln application.
I’ve run this here and there using zerker necklace and pack runes and minus the burst from chill of death an20close to death I’d say it’s damage keeps up fairly well since if you are near your opponent in DS enough the extra vuln from death shivers gives you more dmg to targets above half and evens out when they are below. Also gives you a bit more teamfighting usefullness with aoe vuln spam possibility and aoe protection for allies standing in your wells.

So in the video they talked about how specialization will change several things for your class. Examples given were things like the added weapon and option of a new heal. They even mentioned how it will change rangers interaction with their pet or whatever(their class mechanic).
So what do you think the chances are it will also alter our Deathshroud skills?
I find it hard to believe that ppl are going crazy about the might effectiveness shave and how it horrible for all classes(not just the ones that focus on stacking might from all sources). Honestly 125 pwr+condi(at 25 stacks mind you) does not kill your dps, that and most will be sitting at 12-15stacks(most being every class not focusing on might stacking that is supposedly also hurt) and witht hat you are only losing 60-75pwr+condi….not super gamebreaking.
What they did tocounter the cele might stacking was slightly shave might effectiveness while also shaving battle sigil to hurt their might stacking capability. Honsetly unless you always run battle sigil and have 15+ stacks of might, your not going to see much of a dmg decrease.
Just my two cents since idk how the slight might shave would cause ppl to assume classes like zerk x(mes, nec, thief, etc) to even take much of a hit to dmg, as not all classes focus on the might stacking or run battle sigil.
Human t3 legs+boots have those ugly red lines aswell, when not dyed a color that hides them. I too would like to know why they are there and just have them removed. I am not a programmer of any sort but it seems to me like they are lines used when creating the model itself that just never got hidden.
Wasn’t home for the rest of the day after posting but, ill have to record some videos or something because at all times where i notice this i have a target and i am facing them.
I have been noticing for a while now that dark path has been going off in directions nowhere near my target quite abit. Not sure if I have never noticed it since launch or what, and I am aware of the "game tries to lead projectiles to hit your target as they move " thing. Lately though my dark path likes to shoot off to the right or left of my target(by a long shot) even if they are running in a straight line away from me on their own and even while being feared by myself. Is it just me or has it been acting like this the whole time and I have never noticed?

I would have to do some testing myself but wouldn’t terror be a good alternative instead of master of corruption? With veggie pizza and tuning crystals you are sitting at 80% Condi duration so the fear dmg is quite nice, and unless it’s a specific boss that is plain immune tto CC then the fear will still be applied and do damage through defiance even though they won’t run. Just curious myself if the lower CD on BiP is that good.
Cyborg MMO 7 mouse for me. After having this one for a couple of years i went and tried the naga, but the naga just didnt work out for me(couldnt comfortably hit all buttons without moving my hand around on mouse), so i went back to my cyborg.
Just try to make sure every1 knows the mechanics by explaining them to everyone at Indigo Fort before the breach pops. Thats always makes it go smoothly for me, that and im always tagged up there and tell ppl to follow me once inside to dps them down, but ignore me if i walk away from the group while they are stunned to wait at the next bubble and to just dps them till they m,ove then look for my tag to see where they will be stopped next. So far my best kill i did had 3min 28sec left on timer when we killed both of them. Also to note, its best to do silver and gold with around 8-15 ppl at most, if you want your best chances.(assuming those 8-15 know the mechanics and what to do/not to do)
Quick question on PoC for those that use it often and will know. I know it does the same boon to conversion as our other converting skills, but does it also use the same priority?(ex: stability last) and also, does it only affect the main target or all targets that are hit by the chill aswell?
Did someone do crowd favorite gambit and die before you went in? It was a known issue last year that sometimes the quaggan will stay in the arena if someone does crowd favorite gambit and dies, and you following in right after.

Yea i mentioned that in a post in another thread that if ANET is really going to keep ignoring water combat and further removing areas for it(like they have in WvW+PvP) then they should just rework the skills, or even give them new ones, and make them land weapons. I would LOVE to use my Kam+Kraitkin on land.
So other than in pve, only open world, one fractal, and 2 paths in one dungeon, ANET has slowly been removing underwater combat from all other aspects of the game(WvW+PvP). So i am just wondering at what their plan is for underwater combat in general since i, like few other, actually liked underwater combat and how it was different and brought a good change up to combat here and there.
Another thing is that if ANET really plans to shelf underwater combat or make the situations you use it very few and far inbetween then they could atleast re-adapt the underwater skills for land use and make the underwater weapons usable both on land and while underwater. Bascially other than tweaking skills all that would need to happen, in regards to equipping them, is you have your underwater slots still for if you dont use them as land wepaons but if you do then for each one you have equiped in your normal slots it simply locks one one underwater slot and when you go under itll utilize your land slot wep+you other underwater slot for weapon swapping or both land slots if you are using 2 underwater weps.
Gotta say id love to be able to use a shield aswell but as an offensive aoe pwr skillset to change things up from the norm of shield being defensive. I guess it could be the do aoe dmg to keep enemies at bay “defense” if you will.
Seriously tho make it happen just think of using a ghastly shield on a necro, it would make my day lol.

I did this last year after getting light in the darkness for kicks but its simple easy, maybe even cheating, As some of u might have noticed lifesteal hurts liadri even while she is in phase 1 so simply put, stack all ur lifesteal which means yes(for once) a use for vamp sig. Last year when i did it i stacked all lifesteal options possible, this year with the extra dmg available from sig u hardly have to even change ur build assuming u have a decent amount of crit chance.

SPITE= lower sig cd, axe training, and last can honestly be w/e i just have for the minor amount of pwr gain to ever so slightly scale the siphons
CURSE=ranged wells
BLOOD=increased siphons, siphon in crit, wells siphon
weapons=axe+warhorn(u dont even have to use the warhorn u can just axe auto+#2 on cd
gear=preferably pwr to make siphons scale more
skills=vamp sig, well of darkness, well of corruption, well of suffering.
i did this in knights armor rest full zerker utilizing lifesteal food aswell with no vamp runes or blood/leeching sigil(but if you use those u can speed up your kill)
i killed liadri easily before the match got close to ending just use axe auto+#2 on cd and any other skills, axe 3 or ds 4 and what not to kill orbs as they spawn. Use wells on cd except for darkness you just save that to blind all the adds and pop them if u get stuck in a tight spot or think they are an eyesore and want them gone.
