Had some decent fights in a fully blue EB this morning. Held onto speldans for quite some time, got laughed on 3v1 a bunch of times, but all was fun, and I got my revenge many times over Alas, this will be the last I play on DR.

It’s Noon NA PDT, 8/1…..you have nothing, zero, zip on EB. HoD earlier had your entire BL (they tried to take everything, but never could take AR’s NE tower). So what do you do? You attack AR’s BL vs. 1) trying to take ANYTHING back in your 3rd of EB, or even step foot into HoD’s BL out of…..what, fear? And now HoD is back in your BL taking it all, and you’re…..still attacking AR BL? You either LOVE us and just can’t get enough of us or you HATE us and are raging in our BL. O.o

To be fair, a lot of DR doesn’t care for PPT and are out looking for the good fights. So they may have attacked you simply because they wanted someone different than HoD to fight.

Also @ MoW it’s lovely to finally farm you, way to be such a Mortal Wound. GG DR paying for IoJ guilds to transfer to join your badness. Judging by today’s performance I can only imagine how much they regret it. In the meantime, enjoy your home server going above and beyond to successfully direct you to the way points and repair NPC’s.

Actually, MoW joined DR because of my guild. We became friends way back when matched up against DH and such, and they eventually wanted to leave IoJ because of the people and general attitude of the people on it. And only 5-6 of them came over if I recall. Did we pay for them? No. Unless you count friendship!

Why yes, Bizzy. I can.

1. We don’t ride the coat tails of anyone. OBS and EDGE are close and we roam together often. 90% of the time you will see us together, so we don’t necessarily come back with them just to wipe you. Chances are we were already roaming with them and they were catching up and/or vice versa. We’re always in voice comm together.

2. I know of at least one of my members who tends to spam emotes especially /sit and I do apologize for that. I myself don’t emote. I have the utmost respect for you guys as a guild and you’re always challenging so it’s kinda depressing that you think bad of us and I’m sorry we gave off that impression.

You dont have to be a large guild to have a zerg guild mentality. If you lose to even or lower numbers then come back with twice, three even four times as many to face the people that just beat you everytime, thats a zerg mentality.

Thing is, we kinda can’t do that. As said before, we can’t muster any more numbers to come back with, and by no means are we a PAXA type 5 man roaming tight setup. We run with whatever we can bring to the field which is usually only a max of 6 of us on a good night, plus whatever OBS are on. The only occasions I can think of where we bring more numbers back is if you catch a group of us waiting on the rest of the people we’re running with at spawn, or if we’re trying to catch up to the rest of our group.

1. Not complaining. I was dying laughing in TS.
2. Not a zerg guild. My computer can’t handle that kind of thing Any occasion with me running with a zerg coincides with the zerg finding us and running with us.

I was looking for map completion on the DR borderlands, not a fight. To the DR EDGE guy who took me out in IoJ’s borderlands near the ruins, I was looking for some gold ore and not a challenge but I knew you were coming, it was fair game, and should have put up a better fight and I though it was interesting watching you deal with the Mistfire Wolf and my pet river drake while I was downed.

Welp, what started out as myself being the only one on the map fortifying south camp turned into a full on guild adventure of “Fort Gwyndor”. The glory of Fort Gwyndor before and after. Final siege count: two trebs, 3 ballista, 7 rams, and 2 AC’s. Had 4 sigils on the fall of fort gwyndor by the end of it.

Tried to fight EDGE and they refused to fight us because “We’re too bunkery”, despite the fact that none of us are bunker builds.

We did engage you guys a few times, but after wiping a couple times, we realized that with our current 5-man makeup, we really didn’t have a chance at beating you without the help of adds in the area. So after that, we kinda just avoided you. We don’t exactly run an ideal group setup, and usually play whatever class/role we want to, and none of us ever really run support aside from our warrior. So when it comes down to it, we don’t offer much of a challenge to a balanced group such as yourself.

I dun think the FKB commander likes us very much. 10 in the tower with an AC, ballista and treb now, lol. He dun like roamers.

Even if your Oceanic force was just as strong as ours…the matchups will still be even, your NA cannot dominate us enough for it to mean nothing, Oceanic time is definatly our strongest, it is what gets us a lot of points, but without our NA strength, it wont be enough.

Both are huge factors to why we’re winning.

Still, to say that you’re not winning just because of your oceanic presence is ignorance. That is where the huge point leads come from. Your NA crew CAN hold itself against us, but let’s be honest, DR is a bit stronger NA. I have no issue with you guys winning, but please, don’t say you’re not winning because of your oceanic.

Well, I’ve been taking a good break from GW2 to enjoy the summer and focus on more important spare time alternatives. However, returning today for my first engagements with IoJ and Devona’s Rest since this new matchup was arranged, I found myself pleasantly surprised! I didn’t have any troubles like those GoM/HoD 15-man gank squads chasing me half way across the map at all.

All in all it was a very pleasant morning solo run in Devona’s Rest Borderlands and I am very pleased with the IoJ and DR roamer groups I fought. I didn’t see any /dance or /sit /laugh being spammed at all in the few occasions I died (both with IoJ and DR). The atmosphere felt very respectable and thanks to low populations in that borderland I was able to move about pretty freely and find some pretty great opportunities, both for opportunist attacks on groups weakened by camp capping and the occasional duel.

I’m usually looking to find a 1 vs 1 here and there, though I am also known to happily jump into groups of 2-4 also. If anyone spots me and wants a duel, just /point or /beckon me and lead the way to some remote area and I’ll happily fight you as long as I’m not brain dead/in tunnel vision at the moment.

If you want to 1v1 people, go do SPvP, why would people even want to solo? I personally love rolling around in a party of pugs, or even a guild group, we never expect to survive very long, its always fun though!

People always suggest sPvP. Don’t. It’s kittening dumb, the stat combinations are nothing like what you can create in wvw. Solo roaming is fun because you can test your skill against greater numbers, like 1v2 or 1v3, or you can even outwit a zerg as they try and hunt you down, using the terrain to your advantage, getting the drop on people, etc. World pvp roaming>small arena’s.

Traps are afoot and my boys are smarter than that.

Did you guys get a bunch of transfers? I am seeing quite a few guilds I have never seen before from DR. And the zergs fielded have been more massive than anything I have seen in a long time (if ever) in these tiers.

As a note, please keep flanking until DH starts to realize that it happens. I dont even call out “flank” anymore because.. well.. no one seems to think it matters, lol. Those that do have already reacted before its put into chat anyway.

I know of at least one transfer we got. A guild under the tag VP.
