they are not gonna remove it so let me just say this. i dont like when enemy player gets rallyed by some fight a mile away! there should be a reasonable aoe distance for rally
while doing personal story i dont like that npc greets me every time i start a conversation with it. this is because it greets me with some random sentence that has nothing to o with the personal story. it would be best to turn it off completely.
This has happened many times vs many classes. I am a Ranger and of course our downed abilities are trash compared to others. A 1 second stun and no abilities that move us to another spot like most classes, or a push. However the most annoying one is a Warrior. I down the Warrior (by magic). My HP is low he downs me. So usually vs any class I will lose this battle anyway. But at least I might have a chance. However against a warrior if I get downed while he is downed he gets a free rally because of his get up and fight normally ability. He can get up finish me off and then get a free rally. This is such a cheap tactic and one I see many warriors doing. If they down another person while they are downed the best tactic by the person getting attacked is to suicide so the warrior might die. I find this ability cheap in every fashion possible because they are almost guaranteed to rally if their team is near by so he can at least get one hit in and rally. In PvE I also imagine this is extremely cheap since PvE at level 80 as a warrior is probably extremely easy. I thought maybe I could stun him long enough for him to die because of that abilities time limit. However I cannot stun him either. I pressed 2 and nothing happened to him.
how did u get downed by a warrior in the first place?
true… i want to know what i get for my glory. randomizing chest rewards an then randomizing forge results is just not enjoyable… ppl like it was the anets point in putting it in.
id like to see who actually likes it. i know some ppl will defend it and say its not randomised and there are recipes, but just check all the armors/lvl and forge combinations. be that as it may… do you like it?
i dont, never have, never will, dnt like it in pve also.
direction this game is going is we gonna have jumping puzzle instance every time we try to port anywhere… if u make it u go for free otherwise u have to pay… u know why? ppl love challenges!

oh and regards to elementalists, removing the cd on attunement swapping would enable them to jsut use the swap as there main attack if traitied in to arcana deep enough they would also be able to give themselves perma might, regen, protection, and swiftness all the time. they may not even need to equip a weapon

what do you mean? this is in worst case a paradox, nowhere near contradiction.
whatever the case, maybe the biggest problem is what “paid” means. i dnt think we have the same definition as anet. for me paid means i use ingame currency (tickets) to get into tournament. for anet it means i buy gems with real money and then pay for tickets to enter tournament.
this is unfortunately the way they decided to earn money and the best evidence is the gem store.
question is: loose the profit (or possible profit) or let ppl enjoy the game? i think we all know the answer:)

The main problem (as i see it) with the current paid tournament system is a lack of sustainability, if you come 5-8th you have to win 5 free tournaments to get back into doing paid tournaments, there is of course the chance you’ll get a tournament ticket from chests or craft one/buy with gems bu as a general rule it takes too many free tournaments to get back into paid tournaments.
There should of course be a limiing factor on who can actually get into a paid tournament so it doesn’t dilute the quality of the teams participating too much however right now there aren’t enough teams queueing which leads to the extended queue times.
What I would like to see is an increase in the rewards for winning a free tournament boosted to 2 tickets along with getting second place giving 1 ticket, so it would lok like this:
- 1st – 2 Tickets
- 2nd – 1 Ticket
- 3rd-8th – No Tickets
Following this I would like to see the rewards for the lower tiers of paid tournaments increased:
- 1st – 180 gems
- 2nd – 120 gems
- 3rd/4th – 5 Tickets
- 5th-8th – 3 Tickets
This means that if you get to legacy you’re guaranteed to be able to enter the queue again, however you don’t get the freedom to use your rewards how you wish (as you do with gems). This also means that if you lose on forest it requires you to get 1st place in a free tournament once or second place 2 times.
I feel this is fair because if you are consistenly getting first place in a free tournament then you only have to do 1 free tournament to enter the paid tournaments again. It also rewards those that get to the final map with more than just a chest, this means that if pugs face an organised team on khylo they can start earning rewards towards getting into a 5 man team to do paids. This is all opinion ofc feel free to criticise it.

It’s not a great idea in that they’d have to take out sigils that activate on weapon swaps and they’d have to redo the warriors’ discipline traits.
Other than that i can’t argue though.

yeah, i play warrior and discipline is not the best tree in my opinion to go for anyway. sometimes i feel bad because i think my class is the reason this CD even exists… like some1 is gonna go for discipline to get lower CD!?

i dnt see the point in weapon swap CD anyway since skills are on CD as long as they are.
removing CD on weapon swap entirely would bring a lot more skill in the game since we already have to deal with 30+ sec CD on utilities, and weapon skills also often leave you with autoatack only

is grinding gear playing? not for me
maybe i just don’t know how to turn it off but i noticed that right klik selects the target. now this is a bit of a problem since i use right klik for changing camera view also. so it often happens i try to turn the camera, but my cursor is on one of my team members and as soon as i release, he will be selected… after that i use savage leap and off i go to the certain death from falling off the bridge.
solution… selecting target exclusive for left klik, or if it must be right klik for some reason, then only kliking, not holding.
i know i don’t. playing a warrior is hard with all the pve in pvp. can’t even target anything. would like the “ignore x/y/z” option, except mesmer clones of course.

unfortunately, OP already decided he is quitting and is now refusing any reasonable conversation… as for thiefs go i play warrior with sword/shield and axe/shield and shield block is more than enough to deal with thiefs and then enjoy them bleed after they spam their nonsense.

yes, if u had 2 ppl on point vs 1 bunker, but still be able to cap it, but slower, it would be a bit better, since the dynamics of the game is still moving toward the team that is putting more resources to get the point, but slow enough for bunker to get reinforcements… it would be more exciting.

as far as an e-sport goes yes. as far as the game goes, sort of.
As someone with limited time who enjoys doing tournies against other casual teams ive actually gone back to try and level an alt in PvE until they fix PvP.
thats exactly where your pvper “casuals” are. when anet does something with pvp, and basically all they need to do is said right here, then ppl are gonna get back to the mists, and not just to get to LA.
kick from guild option shouldn’t be in the “right click in party” menu.
it should be available only in guild menu.

i agree with the OP. i use completly diferent pve build. to get my pvp build in wvw, which i would prefere, would cost 2g every time… and 2g for getting back to pve…
