dude, so much is being added in this game that i cant keep up even though i play every day. i actually think they need to slow things down:)

I have all professions with all skills unlocked. How do you know that the game will be more unbalanced with new skills? How do you know they wont continue balancing the skills? Because you dont like the latest patch?
We dont know that but we know one thing, having a choice is better than none. More skills = more builds for both PvE and PvP. Hell, engineers only get to use one elite skill. How long do you want to keep it that way? Give it a chance!
We know because this happened in Guild Wars 1 and they’re trying the exact same thing in Guild Wars 2: adding more skills. That’s the definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over expecting different results. The results will be the same as they were in guild wars 1 and all classes will be even more unbalanced because of it.
yes, yes… lets just make all classes have 25 dmg on all weapons like in SAB. that is balance:P
i want more skills. ill balance it out with my build. if something is too strong i will make build to defeat it. gw1 ftw!
also, only 3 utility skills is gonna be much easier to balance than what we had in glorious gw1.

you will actually be able to increase MF with some kind of item that will drop as a chance from salvaging blues and green. this is good.
so MF will not increase only through achievements.

You earn the rank with your char and get benefits from it. Why the hell should a twink get all the stuff you earnd with other chars? If so why not get all classes to lvl 80 when you reach with 1 class lvl80
why should someone survive 20m fall?

i kinda hoped they were talking about new utility skills…
it would also be cool if bar filling when using upgraded build mastery would represent exact ticks it is required to use all 10 supply. i drop all 10 of mine in one tick, but am still stuck with normal filling bar for the rest of duration… just doesn’t feel polished.
also would be nice if i could use 15 supply at once when i have build mastery (i mean in two ticks).

And we seem to be bad luck for any second seed server. At the end of every week they seem to lose a ranking and another server steps into second spot.
I think if you go into it about the fights and not about winning, the game becomes all that more enjoyable, and you actually start to make a dent.
have you ever been against vizunah? i hope u get the opportunity to see “fights” from rank1 server:P

I’ve been in fights with T1 NA servers, so I’m curious as to how they compare. Plus WvW is about the fights, right? No reason to complain when you have an abundance of choices, lol. Plus I think being the underdog only improves your skill, and makes you work harder.
Challenge is good. Victories taste sweeter when you’re outmanned and you win.

oh, yeah… the skill lag also lets you know you are in 1km distance of vizunah zerg. in that case you might also enjoy pvd under 5 superior AC fire autoatack:)

The alternative being structures become even more indefensible because people can’t get there in time, or people are forced to sit in structures waiting all day for an attack.
Actually, I’d say the zones might be too BIG based on the fact that the two issues I just mentioned are already a problem.
I’m not sure why you’d want to create a situation where it is nearly impossible to meaningfully respond to attacks and expect that to make the game more fun…. it means more PvDoor and less fighting.
because it would mean splitting the zerg into smaller forces and tactical play. thats why!
zones are absolutely not too small. we are too big.
make all the players as big as invulnerable engineer thingy.

GW2 doesnt require grinding. ALL grinding in this game is optional. If you want a legendary, you might need to grind, but you dont need a legendary. If you want ascended gear, you might need to grind, but you dont need ascended gear. Grinding is only an issue if you need to grind to advance, which you dont.
corection: if u want a legendary you MUST grind. no other option.
“we don’t want you to grind”… yeah, right.

old system was not good. at least not to servers that got abandoned by wvw guilds. that servers were locked in tiers too high for them and couldnt get out.
only system that could work is one that reacts to population migration and coverage.
Exact same thing happened to Desolation we had HUGE numbers they left and Desolation couldnt recover. I then followed a mate to WhiteRidge
dnt bring deso in this in that way. only thing that happened to deso, is that it lost players like you. we are going up again, with the joined effort of all the real deso players and guilds that have left against all odds.
if deso should be mentioned in this thread, it should be as a sign that it is possible.

OP is totally right. i have been dreading JP’s in this game since start. jumps are not hard because they need coordination, but because they are glitchy. and unfortunately, each patch the JP part of the game becomes more and more the main theme, or main way of playing the new content.
at this point i just get it over with to get the chest rewards and never do it again. good thing is it is a one time thing, so i dnt have to do it with other characters, if i happen to like the rewards. thank you anet, at least for that gift of mercy.
i’ve seen a few guilds complain about upgrade loss when transferring…

I think i should record a supply camp sometimes, maybe i will catch a viz blob running away from the NPC’s :P
that vizunah “blob” running away from guards is no blob. thats 30 man viz sniper team.
if guild transfers to low activity wvw server they get to keep all guild upgrades, but need to stay on server for 3 months (even without 3 months would be cool).
if going to high activity wvw server transfer cost for guild is the same as it is now.
except stale matchups, there is problem of population. we still didnt get the fix for that.
so now we have randomized matchups so no more stale, but its still not balanced population vise…

Who desides who will be the commanders? How does that work?
I’ve been online the past few days playing mostly WvW and I am yet to see the same 2 commanders… It’s always different. Yday I was with a person called Kodah or something like that, the day before with another dude, the day before that with another… it’s not that I mind, all of them have different strategies so I learn alot, but I’m just curious as to how that works.
all commanders from deso server meet in a big room with round table. then we draw straws. who gets the shortest runs deso BL that week:P
i would like to know what the skill does exactly before spending points.
yes, i have been cheated into buying lvl5 AC mastery. it said: poisons enemies and removes stealth. it didnt say: poisons enemies for 2sec, removes stealth for 8sec, on 60sec cooldown.
Being from desolation and complaining about arrow cars is quite funny. We seem to be some of the biggest hypocrites out there. Last week our night/morning crew raked us a healthy +625. It seems that after fighting vizunah for so long they have rubbed off on us.

If there is one thing at which Desolation is absolutely terrible is playing the defense game by planting zillions of superior ACs + defensive trebs in the structures; barring maybe the keep in EB, nearly every other structure in our hands is either completely devoid of siege weapons or has much less than it should have. This is one of the main reason (along with the lack of decent scouting) we keep getting our keeps/towers reset to T1 so frequently.
And I can understand that, I mean, we could be going full Vizunah style but in the end it would still be meaningless since they’d simply reset them during the night/morning, so from a practical point of view sieging up stuff is a waste of time and money for any server with inferior coverage. Despite that, though, it would be a big help to retain the strategic offensive during those few hours when we do have enough WvW presence to cover at least 2-3 maps; I wish more commanders stopped looking only at the final score, and started taking into consideration how having properly sieged up T2+ structures allows a more aggressive map approach.
As far as I’m concerned, instantly planting at least 3-4 superior ACs and leaving 1-2 scouts in any structure you just capped and have even the slightest intention to keep should be standard practice by every commander.
We didn’t have 3-4 in that keep, nor that picture, there was 15 total in our lords room area alone. How many times I have seen people complaining about viz or elona using billions of arrow carts, then this is what I see. We can do that, sure, but we can no longer complain when they do it us.

it would be an improvement since in this system it is almost impossible to drop a tier. servers have been loosing on purpose for weeks and still couldn’t get to appropriate tier for their performance lvl.
1 up/ 1 down would be a great fix. so what if some1 wants to drop a tier… it will actually fix the matchups if they ever become stale.
also 1 up/ 1 down will actually react instantly to population movement. this means it will be possible to make an effort to bring T1 servers down since moving up will be instant (at least compared to what we have now). so bringing EU viz down will become possible. now they are just matched up against wrong opponents and any server trying to make an effort to go against viz will “never” get to T1 from lower tiers. with 1 up/ 1 down it would take only 7 weeks to get from T8 to T1.

you are crazy. lag is the only strategy in T1 servers… how are they supposed to take anything if lag is fixed?

i read in another post there was noone interested to host such an event…
pvp guys care, how about you pve guys? or is the particle effect on new armor not matching old armor your only concern? :P
but particles on new armor skins not matching old armor skins is way more important than skill lag and unbalanced wvw matches…

i am wondering who is running from the problem here…
in this game you can get hit for more than 50% of your HP pool in a single shot. this is where learn to dodge comes in the game.
also read what downed state skills do. they are different for each profession.
