i was hoping to get new dailies each day. looks like i cant get rid of daily kill variety… if this stays the same, as in the same dailies as before plus new dailies that are gonna stay the same for the next 2 years im gonna loose my mind…

u can salvage whatever you want.
ppl that got baned for salvaging karma items were the ones that abused vendor price that was too low by mistake. if u dnt get rich from it its ok.
btw u can salvage dungeon items of lvl70+ dungeons only for ectos, so dnt count on getting rich anytime soon anyway…
i seriously agree with OP. on the other hand, give us dungeons for lvl1 every 10 lvls.
i expect them to release 12.00 (noon). this mean 21.00 cet (europe). in other words, in the middle of a first dungeon run:)
happened to me yesterday also. i reloged to different char and was able to join the right instance then. good old BWE times:)
for immersion sake u can walk as much as u like… even to a dragon. no one is forcing you to use wp, and btw you’ll save some money.

whats with active players posts… i want to be alone but cant get away from ppl. i started my 4th character and maps are full!!!
in gw1 there were missions that required some research especially for bonuses… yeah its gonna be harder for pugs, but common ppl, use wiki, watch some youtube videos… think about build you are using.
on the build thing i see the only problem… it is impossible (well maybe not impossible but hard) to change builds since stats are on armor. change this pls, or im gonna have to have 8 sets of armors for each character for each dungeon.
this game was balanced around warrior in pvp. this means that all classes got buffed until warrior himself became useless. buff is in order, who cares about pve?
everybody is so smart i don’t know if i am even worthy of saying anything here but i will risk it: and why not?

Eh… but mystic clovers are a fixed 1/3 drop rate.. so in a big enough sample size (about 21 attempts is enough) you should get about 7 out of that. Even if you did it separately, the probability will still remain roughly 1/3. People usually complain about their bad streaks but then neglect the good streaks which they had (maybe they got 2 in a row or more and then a consecutive none from 5 tries, see what i’m getting at? they got 2 out of 7 attempts but only looked at the 5 failed attempts and ignored the successful ones).
Anyways RnG is fine. There has to be RnG aspects in any game regardless if you liked it or not. The drop rate has to be lower in this game because the loot system rewards every player and not 1 items shared among 5 people using a need/greed system.
Besides, I avoid most of the rng aspects in this game. They’re mostly optional if you’re not an impatient person. But then it’s not really the game but you eh.
this guy… there will always be some1 that says it ok so…
a lot of issues with V key trying to do 1 thing end up talking to NPC. and what does NPC say? i have no idea since i never read what they said. and what can i respond. something i also don’t read in front of what is X. what is the purpose of those conversations? i have no choice in responding, they are always the same… it can be removed from game completely especially on NPC’s that follow you in quests/dungeons, or they should be 1 time thing only. let me talk to him on purpose, not read what it says, not read what i respond, klik that thing that ends the conversation and then disable it for the duration of quest/dungeon.

Please just attempt the dungeon. You’d never learn if you do not start. I did my first AC story at lvl 30. It was ok.
exactly. there is little or nothing in open world pve that will prepare you for the dungeon. so basically only thing you can do to learn the dungeon is doing the dungeon itself. if you lvl to 80 and do AC then it will be easier but you will be missing the only chance you had to actually experience AC as it should be.

Is that something you know or that you think? Switching to another charcater worked fine many times in the past and I neither remember that this was considered to be an exploit nor that it was fixed / made impossible in a recent game update. But that’s easy to test.

i know that. if the person that entered dungeon logs out he can log back in and continue, but if he logs to a different character then dungeon resets and everyone gets kicked out. i use reset dungeon by loging to different characters in case someone starts story mode by accident while we want to do explorable.
did u notice how slow movement looks with zoom out? im not saying i dont want to zoom out because i do, especially on my norns or charrs but maybe they want the game to look more “action” based…
btw, some of the jumping puzzles on norn are just insane… camera is all over the place.
ahhh… unlocking pvp for pve in gw1…
switching to another char will reset dungeon. do not do that unless you want to reset the dungeon.
right click the name of player that is LFG then choose invite/join
if there is not this option (which sometimes for some reason isnt there) click the little triangle on the left upper part of the screen next to a shaded avatar… this will open a window for writing text in which you can write the name of player LFG and then again click join/invite in that window. if you use gw2lfg.com then you can copy/paste the name in that window.
difference between invite and join is that you can invite single person to join you or your group, but if that person is in group already you can only join them. so if invite doesn’t work you will get “this player is already in guild/group” notification meaning you must repeat all and then choose join instead of invite…
you can not join your group with other group.

what they need to do to really make this game unique is make times for things they want you to do. for example: open world pve all day but crappy rewards. 12-14 dungeons but without DR (go do your 7min runs of cof1 as many times as you can). 18-20 pvp (finally we can have paid tournaments, people are just loving this, everybody is in the mists). if it doesn’t work lets make it once per week.
more RNG please. we need to have all the armors people were grinding in dungeons for tokens removed and get one single RNG box that will give you random armor piece with random stats. BUT, don’t get excited, this is actually good for you because the box will cost only 30 tokens and you can use mystic forge to get whatever you want. just be patient, and as an extra fun, you can discover your own recipes:)
if you get the armor stats you want, but not the skin, np, we have transmutation stones w8ing for you in the cash shop:) enjoy the no grind philosophy anet style.
you can go wherever you want, people are in fotm. you can merge all the servers into one, people are in fotm still.

i hope its expensive!
what is next? maybe they fix skills/traits? and then they may go crazy and actually create new pvp modes!!!

that’s only partly true, you can craft the armor you want with the mats from those pvp-pieces.

we are in pve open world. u turn off scaling as lvl 80. im lvl 1 and have scaling turned on… how exactly would that work?
dont think it would be a problem technically tbh, if they can make harvest nodes specific for each player sure they could have different scaling for each player, if anything taht would be even easier, but ofc a i said earlier there is other problems with it so it should absolutetly not even be considered
what i was trying to say is: i have scaling turned on because i dont want your lvl 80 one hitting around me… but you have your turned off… i dnt… see…
people will run through anything that is not worth it. that is the fact. lets just have door after every room that doesn’t open until all mobs are killed.
interesting mechanics on trash mobs? i wouldn’t mind that, but lets be realistic… it wont happen.
puzzles? yes, but please not jumping puzzles or indiana jones type from cof. this is not fun at all.
density? please, there is enough useless trash mobs to skip as it is. if they force me to kill every pack just because there will be too many while i skip it will only be more tedious.
basically you have a list of wishes that takes too much work/creativity. one thing is to say i want interesting mechanic, other thing is to actually make it.
oh common man… give a solution instead of criticizing.
in my opinion increasing the drops from trash mobs will be more profitable in the long run for players. i assume people learn and get better. i have no problem finishing any dungeon i play (AC, CM, cof, coe, TA). arah i also finished 1st path but just dont have time because RL to have more than 2h ingame so im not even trying it.
the point is it would be better to get more loot for finishing dungeon with better loot from trash, then not getting loot at all from failing. and lets be honest. atm the loot you get from trash is just not good enough. the final loot for finishing the dungeon is much better. also we were talking about motivating the players not to skip content. so if we look at these players, they are just going to the end boss an killing it, with skipping as much as possible. so the problem we talk in this topic is not people that cant finish the dungeon at all (i believe there are those but dnt believe there are many, and they will learn), but people being unmotivated to actually play the dungeon as anet intended, because it is just not worth it lootwise.

Why? What’s so special about killing trash in a dungeon?
nothing an thats the point. what i understood from reading devs post is they want to make it more special (by increasing loot, and i agree), but they dnt want people to grind the same trash mobs and then reset the dungeon.

in other words there would be no looting of mobs, but kind of accumulating the loot into the final boss chest. would also be cool to be able to “loot” the mob just to see what is waiting for you at the end of dungeon (something like the menu that opens when you try to loot the mob with full inventory). i think that would be a really strong incentive to finish the dungeon the right way:)

now i remembered the bonus missions:) that was cool to do
ive been to hotw twice since the buff. before i did path2/3 only once for achievement and was running path1 daily… now it is just not worth it although i was runing path1 for tokens to get armor, not for ectos. the armor is just not worth the experience i get from the dungeon.
underwater combat… no ty. underwater boss… no words.
ah… all the things that sounded good when heard but turned out not to be exactly how i imagined them.
lets say DODGE. wow, so cool, i will be able to dodge. turns out only 2 times:( then w8 for cooldown. and i must agree that balance between dodge and unblockable one hit kills is forcing you to get already limited skill (3) choices to survivability… and its on 10 min cooldown so the down state is really unavoidable.
yeah, i like the team play but not the kind where i must be helped up to get back to combat while my team mates are risking getting downed as well… there are already bosses known for avoiding helping up because it will hurt team more than help…
