No problem here. I came up with my main character (ranger) name way before game release – Jon Darkwood. And since I make only humans (don’t know why, just can’t look at Charr, Asura or Sylvari, maybe Norn will be good), I always end on changing the name leaving the surname as it is. Gonna get hard time thinking on the Norn . Or I will just check the list of common nordic names O.o .

Sadly I started taking screenshots when I was 80 already, but here’s the transformation…

It’s a very good idea.

For me there are few simple steps.

Selling every crafting materials (tier 6 not, couse I’m into legendary); selling all white and blue items to merchant; throwing greens into Forge; salvaging rare armors for ecto; throwing rare weapons into Forge; farming CoF p1 and p2 (25s each run, 120 tokens for 2 runs a day), getting rares for tokens and salvaging them for ecto. In 2 weeks of 4-5h a day I bought myself tier 3 chest and boots. Of course I was selling ecto which I do not do now.

What about Wilderness Knowledge trait from Wilderness Survival trait line? Does it affect traits too? And he could use http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rune_of_Infiltration
Also I always though about bonds with pets. What if Hide in Plain Sight has it cooldown on you and also on pet and you get the bond, so hitting pet also gives you stealth?

Well I’m almost pure glass, 15k hp. 30/30/10. Running alone is a bit harsh, but in group with LB and Axe/WH I’m able to do some decent damage. Steady focus, eagle eye and signet of the beastmaster at marksmanship + (change every time I go www) on skirmishing + expertise training on wild survival. Pets are cave and jungle spiders. Protect me, signet of stone, QZ and Rampage as One.

Leo, agreed. 55 gold ain’t easy to get :/ . Nevertheless, you can always go for different stats with new armor. I’m pow/crit and with new armor I’m gonna get heal/vit :] .

Your shoulders are nice, tier 2 female boots and pants are way better than tier 3 (men’s tier 3 boots are the best in game IMO :] ). Your gloves also look nice, but I can’t tell what set are they from. If you want nice skin, go for the simple leather ones.

If you want to keep the red everything would be better than white… Imo those 2 colors just don’t fit. The white is too bright on the red.

Well I go 30/30/10/0/0, always on TS and I don’t see any problems doing fractals at all.
Lb and Axe/Wh + flame, poison and bleed traps + entagle or rampage as one.

Finished my set.

Tier 3 is the most expensive armor out there, so they should think about “rewarding” the people using it if ascended armor comes in.

I would change the shoulders. IMO the right part is way too big.

I don’t think kitten out look awesome in heavy armor, but that’s my opinion…

Link above shows the tier 3 fractal capacitor, but to do this one needs 500 globs of ectoplasm…
I was wondering if any other ascended back items will change their skin after two upgrades. Of course as a ranger I’m mainly interested in quiver.

What are your thoughts about it? Maybe The Dev can tell us about quiver possibilities?

I see you like it simple just like me. Unfortunatelly, I don’t think you can get a bigger bow. I was running with the Krytan one for the most of my time before I got Eir’s Longbow out of Mystic Forge. Plain and simple skins with no fireworks.

Actually the outlaw are the only ones fitting ^^ . But now I think my avatar will run without the shoulders being seen, it looks fine too.

Well, for ranger the only resonable choice for the first legendary is bow (long bow imo).
And since Dev are gonna make more skins for the legendaries (and I also heard that you will be able to change the skin if you already got your legendary) I wouldn’t make the greatsword. People don’t wanna bow legendaries just because they look like leaves.

IMO you should start gathering resources you need for all legendaries, and then think about what to get.

Hunter’s Shot at the beginning, Crossfire for life. And then I throw Flame and Spike traps followed by Sharpening Stone. Pet gets aggro, so Barrage. Quick switch to Axe/Warhorn and Hunters Call’s immediately followed by Call of the Wild. Axe #3 and #2 → Switch back to Longbow ^^ .

Would you mind posting your weapon skins? I’m at the endgame now and it would be nice to get the good looking gear.

I go longbow (human tier 1) and axe/warhorn (carrion legionnare/simple something) while occasionally using the greatsword (Jotun one – it glows white in hand).

Got a problem with dyes I think you and me can solve together.

Firstly, my set is: Inquest Helm, Duelist Pauldrons, Gloves and Pants, Falconer’s Coat (Human Tier 2) and Prowler Boots.

I’m attaching the screens of my color set and 3 another sets of my character being entirely colored by one dye – Midnight Ice, Midnight Fire and Black.

The problem is that black is purple… And yesterday I had a chance to preview Abyss and it was also purple!
As you can see the midnight fire and ice make their “named” apperance, but… on my brothers necro the midnight fire looks really black, even darker than midnight ice.

The question is – can i make my rangers armor really black, or it doesn’t work because armor is leather and it will just look like it? And yes, I changed the graphic setting to maximum to check it, looks just like on screens.

PS Can someone tell me if my english is any good?

The quiver on back looks soo great. Sad it collides with string, but it’s still quiver.

Also, could you guys tell me are there any other hoods than the thief one?
