FA will remain in T2 for a good long while. We(those who play often) know that DB and TC will win the point game in the end, but as proved, T1 servers and TC/DB have one difference. Strategy. Unless you can be near or at queue at every hour of the day, points will be a represetation of the number of players online, not skill. FA is a solid T2 that doesnt have the coverage of DB or TC, who can reduce us to paper in the off time of NA (wee hours of morning PST). JQ may fall and TC may rise, but I doubt that much will change unless they lower the queue limit or they spread out hte populations and server transfers.

This post has absolutely nothing useful to add to the situation. For me, the “casual” wvw player, who hops in the FA teamspeak and runs with the server, putting 1 point in each was my first order of business, to take 3 strikes to place all my supply instead of 5. But after that, I never hold more than 10 seige, so placing say, 8 or 10 at once wont help me, since I cannot aford more supply space(another mastery). I love it, it is useful, especially for flash cata’s and AC, but above 8 per place, it is a waste, since 20 supply only comes rarely and the 8 option is also a waste if you dont want to or cannot upgrade your max supply. 4 is a nice 100% increase, and after that , they become less powerful(IMO). 6 I will probly get, but later, after other upgrades

I think that’s inaccurate. The weapon does fire based damage instead of physical (but plenty of other weapons can do that…not just legendary ones). The Legacy sword skin is an example.

No, there is no “fire” damage, there are only 2 damage types in this game direct damage and condition damage.

And fall damage.

Fall damage is subtracted from current health based on height, aka directly.

I have to say, I have run similar builds before, but your writeup is very good. i cannot tell anyone how much I prefer the spiked armor to the endure pain @ 25 %. It procs so much more often, and the hammer is an absolute beast of a weapon, and with the recent patch to hammer 4, we should see more people running with this ultimate control weapon

lol the paranoia about spies etc. Its probably just someone on your own server wanting the achievement points. I was with a small roaming group and we waked into a camp with over 20 balistas, 2 catas, and who knows how many AC’s, all that siege placed wasnt just for defending the camp.

When anet decided to give rewards for achiement points, and throw siege weapons onto the TP then this is what can be expected. Yes its wasting valuable supply, and its most likely people who dont care about wvw that are wasting your supply, and there is, unfortunatly, nothing you can do about it because anet has decided that siege is the new meta for the game and even those who dont play wvw now have access to it freely.

Spies are real, I’ve seen the effects of them, I know commanders who profess to have spies(not on any official forums tho). FA community teamspeak actaully has had to enforce validating that you have a toon with your TS name on it in order to not get kicked

FA is a nice T2 server that could stand to have more people in the hours decribed. After primetime is over(about midnight server time) we wake up in the morning to paper keep and most of our map lost. We have havok, zerg, and more and with a bit of coverage, we can pull out of the consistant 2nd place in a matchup agaisnt DB or TC

This is a very selfish post that goes against what world versus world stands for. Some commanders are actually very good at creating strategies that require cooperation, but people like you tend to create a problem for them.

Stop thinking only about me me me. Did you stop to think that the supply you took from the keep prevented a waypoint from being upgraded? That would have helped out you, but you don’t have the foresight to consider that.

I play for plenty of zergs and have played under several commanders whose descisions I respect. I do know how supply is used to get the waypoint, or to upgrade the EB keep that FA keeps waking up to to find has been reduced to paper again.

What the point of all I said wasn’t to say that this isn’t an issue(referring to people wasting seige). What is an issue for me is that people tend to assume anyone who takes supply is “match fixing” or ‘cheating" and should therefore be banned. That isn’t cool or ok and gives WVW players a bad reputation among pve’ers, who are future wvwers. I say what I have said because threads like this cause pve players to quit becuase no one bothers to explain what implications of taking seige are.(waypoint, etc) That is why im upset, not because people are wrong about taking seige, but that they are actualy as rude elitist children who are hogging all the toys in the preschool

In the case of this thread, don’t have a Spy/Alt take ALL of a Keep or Tower’s supply before your home server’s zerg comes to attack an objective.

Spying is a seperate issue that Anet really hasn’t bother to deal with, but this takes the cake.

Just because they spent 100 gold doesnt make them a god. I actually can play toward wvw and not have to do a thing a commander tells me. That tag helps lead groups of players, and, in the end, it will be my own judgement whether to follow what they do or say. If a keep is the closest thing to me and I need supply, I will use supply. That isn’t match fixing, that is an inconvenience to those trying to run a specific strategy. Same way that not everyone follows a dungeon meta for loadouts and gear, not everyone has to bend over backwards to someone who shelled out 100 gold.

Living content is living content, enough said. Whichever arc is chosen, we get a 4 week discount on something, and a new fractal, and a varied future of living content. What is in it for me then? I dont play fractals and temporary benefit is temporary? What should I care about voting? will they offer something else for the voting tokens? will there be a copper reason to actually use them? will they be sellable or Acc bound? I dont see the point if, in the end, the result is the same, why I should try to even vote.

Note: If you prefer one fractal over the other, that isn’t a valid argument here. Because lore is lore, and we will get a new fractal either way

This is all bullkitten. You are the reason PVE’ers are turned away from wvw. rather than explain strategy and organize, you would rather tie off their arms and make them slaves to your own blob pressing the 1 key repeatedly. I cannot stand that the devs will acknowledge that the rule regarding “match fixing” is being thrown around to describe anyone who refuses or is ignorant of the meta of seige, supply, and zergs.

You really need to get off your elitist horse and meet people halfway

So, I love the personal storyline, especially the first arc, because it is tailored to your race and there are the most options for it when creating a toon.

However, the Second arc(the orders), and the Third, are hardly worth playing more than once, because there is little deviation.

But more to the point, beside the one time instances, you only really can show your order by way of armor and of weapon skins. So I suggest, and would really like to see, that elite skills be added depending on the order chosen by the toon. Some people may not like the elite, but, like with racial elites, they don’t need to be “quite” as powerful as the class based elites.

I haven’t thought of specific skill features, but I feel like they would add a nice rounded touch to the game, making the quote i have read about the personal story “Its all about you” more true.

And an after thought, why doesn’t your order have a bearing on the living story? Like Flame and frost would have been perfect for choosing a plan of attack. It would be nice to see a living story pan out beyond its current state.

Simply put, a a patch was released on 7/16/2013 around 11am PST and no patch notes have been given.

Just gonna say that FA isn’t the only tyrant on this matchup. I assume you are CD, and yeah, you are getting ganked. But that doesnt mean blame FA, when DB has been smacking us down as well

Supplies exist for a reason. You cant restrict players/pug/militia or whatever you call them while leaving it to the decision of someone who had 100g lying around. If a player wants to take supply, they can. WvW isn’t made to be a game to cater to the elitists who get to impose themselves onto others. Perfectly said, you cant, and anet won’t, receive what you ask. Maybe if you bothered to explain your reasons in /say, people would listen, rather than being Caps locked to death.

You may be right for overall strategy for the good of the zerg and server, but in the end, you cant lock out the 1v1 players to feed your own ambition

I would have paid 1000 gems for a fused staff. RNG in Dragon Bash has been kind, since the coffers are Tradable and drop pretty often, making it more accessible than molten facility(I loved the dungeon, but wasnt going to farm it)

I heard the map has a total cap on siege now as of the 28. FA is having similar issues

bad luck, I doubt it…they had to have nerfed it with people reporting .5 with large sample sizes
