Well the human females are disappointing yet again. Boring stuff nearly identical to what there already is, no variety. Even more loose hairstyles with the parting one inch more to the left, great, while there was already lack of some great tied hairstyles like some of the norn ones. And norn get even more awesomeness.

And jesus, Leia braidbuns on asura. I’M JELLY. This is something human females need ;_; Pleeaaaase.

Finally did a revamp of my armor combos, switched and remixed pieces around, dusted some of my beloved ones that were sitting in the bank because they had stats that I haven’t used for ages on them and made sure that all my favourite armor parts are used in the two main sets for the 2 stats combinations that i use on a regular basis.

Here’s the effect and some mad ms paint skillz.

I’m very happy with the final dye effect of the first set, after several tries, and every owner of Profane armor should know what I mean The second set’s dyes are still a work in progress, I’m in the process of buying more from the new Tequatl set

Why? I had plenty of 1v1-3 this week, but maybe I’m just optimistic after matchups where you could solo roam all day and all you would find youtself doing was either pveing camps or running for your life from zergs with not a single fight happening.

You want to fight us for the challenge to fight 1 of the top 3 guilds, so its no point to disappoint you with some rallybots that joined the guild a second ago.

I wouldn’t take that ‘crown’ business too seriously. None of the current top guilds is so clearly dominant over everyone else like it was with Red Guard. Which is actually a good thing.

I don’t believe this ranking shows anything. I agree that a leaderboard creates competetion and sets up a goal for guilds/players to climb ranks, but the GvG system in its current state is not really comparable. I actually hope guilds don’t take this to seriously and start playing GvG the way they were intended. Have good fights with even numbers, nothing more. We see guilds refusing GvGs, because they don’t want to lose rank points and hurt their reputation and that gets in the way of the actual GvG spirit. When this ladder starts making things complicated and constrain fights, it’s something to worry about, at least in my opinion.
Also, many guilds see GvGs as a one time thing. They fought Guild X once, end of story. I don’t know why so many guilds have problems with fighting the same opponent more than once. Thats the point were you actually can improve, and see and feel that improvement too. Hopefully we can put that mentality behind us and move on to a more competetive, but also fight oriented environment..

Sup. So how about GD stopping refusing to GvG us for… let me count… 3rd time? Just asking, y’know.

Weekends at around 7-8 pm PST time

Well it should happen on weekends for the reason that you guys don’t have to work and can show up in the afternoon rather than evening, and EU guys can stay up to let’s say ~0:00-2:00 our times. No GvGs will happen at 5am tho Midnight in central EU is 3pm pacific so that’s times you should look at. (and as mentioned we have folks 1h ahead too, so take that into account).

A little update from me, since they’ve introduced new backpiece since I took my pics, there’s a little change. I have the Desert Rose now instead of Fervid Censer, so would like it to be on the portrait. It’s almost the same, just red.

Took me around 15-20 tries yesterday, with the first ones spent figuring out the mechanic, since I went in completely clueless. It’s perfectly doable on a necro, some other classes might have it easier, cause if they screw up there’s always blink/more dodges/etc, but you can just not screw up

I didn’t even change my traits or gear from my warband trait setup cuz lazy, just added lifesteals from BM tree to add a bit sustain, so i could survive her autoattack with ~2300 armor and ~25k hp with spamming my #1 when she’s invul too. Took wh trait as well, since i used spectral walk, so i can have swiftness instead of locust sig and some emergency escape with the walk to save up dodges. Took dodge food since I had it sitting in bank anyway, but didn’t know about the hoelbrak buff, so that would be even better ^^ Plague signet for phase 2 when your staff #4 is on cd and you’re caught with chill/cripple in the wrong place. Last utility was random well of suffering, since like i said i was lazy and BIP would prolly be better, and golem for 2nd phase. Most of the time I was on axe/wh , spamming #3 whenever it was up, nice to destroy the rifts and retal could take her down to ~90% even before she gets vulnerable, tho it probably doesn’t matter all that much.

Overall it was pretty fun fight, and man way better than the candidate trials bullkitten.

It’s gonna be ok if you arrange it ahead of time, even if that might be a bit – challenging, since weekend is the best time, and it’s right after reset. I remember when RG went NA and there were some problems, cause our people were long in bed when our opponents were still sitting in work, but that was kinda fail with getting those matches during the weekend.
Piken would be a bad place to go though, with a lot of GvG guilds being here already that would probably like to fight you too VII, GH, DSun, Mya, FURY etc.

About if it’s new, it was like this in the first betas, and then got removed before the game went live. Only some time ago it began to work again and I’m not even sure when it happened, myself I discovered it pretty late too.

The fact is that WvW kills don’t belong in the PvE dailies

Wait, did I miss the part when they added WvW dailies? Because then maybe your point would be valid. These are not PvE dailies, these are dailies for everything that’s not sPvP, that includes PvE AND WvW. You’re still in the better position, you have ONE daily that you can’t do in PvE, while WvWers sometimes can’t even finish their required 5 without going into PvE.

It would actually be cool if the pool consisted of 10 objectives, 5 PvE and 5 WvW ones (10 invaders killed, 10 dolyaks stopped/escorted, 10 dances on enemies corpses, 10 CC enemy off the ledge in JP), so you could either do them completely in your preferred game mode or you could mix and match. Or just make WvW dailies separate, like sPvP ones.

Probably not gonna happen though, who cares about WvWers while PvErs need more pink rings and kitten.

Quoted for truth. This thing stinks, although all the time I believed ANet that the item wasn’t bugged and loved the rarity of it, right now it seems fishy. Especially like after all the time they tried so hard not to give any hints about the location, suddenly they’re handing it to everyone and their mother. Why would they do this, I’ve no idea, other than it was just bugged and that awesome hunt was an effect of coincidence. I’m so disappointed, not because I was looking in the wrong place, but because they basically said ‘Aight, we’re bored of it, the hunt is over, here take the weapon, it’s not gonna be rare anymore’. I feel like after Mass Effect 3 ending. I still love the skin and I’m gonna get it anyway but they just removed all the uniqueness from this staff for no reason whatsoever.

And at the same time they’re removing rare prestigous skin, they’re adding absurd grind for BiS items. WTF are you doing ANet. I feel like I’m getting really close to quitting this game for good.

If I remember correctly:
1: Abyss and Burgundy
2: Midnight Ice, Abyss and Blood
3: Midnight Fire, Abyss and either Blood or Burgundy (just logged off… I actually think it’s Blood on top and skirt, and Burgundy on gloves and boots which you can’t really see) + Night Air (or something like that) on the Arah eye.

The preview set is I think Abyss, Burgundy and White Gold.

I’m not sure why many people seem so surprised with the drop rate (which would be around 0.05% according to what Vaughn said, not 0.005% like some of the posts state). Whenever I was playing with some maths I was assuming the drop rate of 0.02% for being pessimistic (this was the drop rate of GW1 mini polar bear, defined by the devs as ‘absurdly low’) or 0.1% for being optimistic, so looks like I was spot on. It makes the item really rare indeed, but we’ve already known that, right?

It seems worse because we just don’t know where it is yet, once it drops for one person, people will start farming the place, then they’ll find tricks to clear it quickly and then we’ll have more farmers which will result in several of those on the TP soon after. Obviously the best bet to guarantee yourself one is to start saving money for it, which is what I’ve been doing I might get lucky and had it drop instead, or I might not, no need to be upset.

And to all the people saying that the whole thing is stupid, or that the staff is ugly, or something blabla legendary blabla no particle effects.
First of all, if you like the look of the staff or not is a matter of taste. This is my favourite staff skin since I saw it in beta and back then decided I was gonna go for it. The fact that it turned out to be so special actually makes me glad. I’d like to go for a legendary to have some goal to work towards, and afterwards have the item that really shows that I worked for it one way or the other. But I find every single one of them incredibly fugly. So instead I end up transmuting my exotics with Krytan skins that cost 15c on the TP (the axe is honestly the best axe skin in the game!).

As for the hiding place of this beauty, I still think Zho’Qafa is our best bet, and that’s the place I’m gonna keep doing. The problem with confirming if it is/is not the right place, is that estimating how many times the chest was open is harder then it seems at first. We’ve got over 50 servers and the game has been out around 170 days, but can you really tell for sure when people started doing the event regularly, how often, on which servers (I’ve been on 4 since release and the PvE activity really varied), how many of them opens the chest each time? Imo the Catacombs are still in the game when talking statistics, and the place just seems to fit – simple connections like catacombs/high level zone/long event chain are present without too much overthinking done (“Omg The Rainbow Pirate used the word ‘final’ and his name starts with R, just like ‘Rest’ and he has a birthmark that looks like a gargoyle upside down I swear, ZOMG IT FITS”).

Yes an outstanding numbers of player reach SFR just only to play night (sorry m8 but your info is a bit exagerated) The trend say that the only nightcapper server, last week was BB. And a couple of medium guild can’t change the situation.

Easy there, I’m not accusing you of being a ‘nightcapper server’ that only gains points during the night, but it’s a fact that you just got a NA transfer that will help you during that period. No idea why you think stating this has anything to do with the competence of your prime-time forces. If those NA guilds are enough or not we will see, but given the dwindling of general wvw population across many servers they may just be.

Can never be 100% sure, but I believe it’s very likely. I certainly hope you will, and that the fresh opponent in T1 will give at least a little more motivation to log on more for BT players, since we can’t count on ANet with this.
