I have some screenshots after the ancient karka spawned on the… 2nd? time you had to kill his minions pre boulder event, I didn’t think to take any later. I was at the event until after you forced him back into the cave and the cleared the webs off the explosives. I was killed, I waited 5minutes or so and noone was rezing anyone ,I started to get heavy lag and frame rate issues, i tried to click on the waypoint to respawn and crashed. I had to do a hard reset and tried to get back in I didn’t get the chest and couldn’t log back in let alone find the overflow i was on.

Photoshopping an event picture seems like a lot of work for the reward, I doubt its shopped.
I haven’t had a reward and i was there until the end when i died and had a huge spike, when i clicked the waypoint my pc froze and I had to do a hard reset.

From looking at the ratings I imagine UW will jump back up again next week anyway, RoF moved up 3 ranks in 1 jump after beating both of there opponents which gives you a huge rating boost while this week UW and GH were only 20k seperate so the ratings pretty much stayed the same

Why don’t you get your players on Underworld? We have less forces and still managed to be just 20k points behind you after a week of playing and the gap is closing each week we play

The issues we are having on underworld is that we are a high pop server so people cant move here, but we have a huge amount of inactive accounts and people who never go to WvW
There needs to be more benefit for people to do WvW or its not going to happen on these lower tier servers :/
I have a glass cannon engineer with 60%+ crit, 80+ crit dmg and I cant hit more than 2000 with any attack I can think of, that’s with elixirs and other buffs too.
any one skill that can kill anyone that fast seems somewhat overpowered unless every class can do it, and if every class can do it then it seems to easy to kill others.
Im also a guild leader for a 500 man guild, its insanely hard to clean our inactive members of a guild this size without the basic tools pretty much every other game has.
Even worse we are limited to 2 mails a minute, when I need to contact all of my 12 officers it takes ages. to sort of basic meetings and other content.
A officer only MOTD would be useful too. and maybe a more complicated bank tools such as people can only take out 3 items a day etc.
Firstly before I bother you with information about my server I should ask, are you considering moving to EU servers or is that off the table?

It s a shame we cant all be civil, spamming “join my server” over and over again isn’t a good way to do this.

Well it was gandara that originally started it off which caused the issue. Ive already talked to seafarers about it since spamming other peoples forums is just ¬_¬
without proof? I saw it happen myself and was asked to move to from a guy claiming to be a higher up in one of your largest wvw guilds. Although i didnt expect to need screenshots so I cant post what I dont have.
Either way live with your rank, we found that even with less wvw population theres a lot you can improve. At this rate we will be fighting you in a month or so anyway :P
I understand your point, although I still feel that its unfair to try to get guilds to move even if youre struggling to hold your rank. you must understand that its killing all of the lower servers for nothing more than a few members. KISS recently left GH and they have started to plummet ranks, 1 guild moving can make a huge difference.
Although this entire reply may be the result of fending off more servers like yours right now to the point that I have Seafarers alliance members sending private messages to people on my guilds private invite only forum, its pathetic the levels its going to at this point :/
Fact is if you drop ranks who cares? you only drop to a level where you can comfortably play without winning or losing every week after all.
This was at least a week or two before Halloween and I said no to the offer and left as soon as I heard about it so I cant remember which guild he was with, I think he just called himself the gandara alliance rep or something along those lines.
I’m unhappy that you are asking other communities to move servers at all ,its what kills all of the lower servers enjoyment of wvw. If you cant win at your current level then just move down ranks to a level you can handle since theres no benefit for been a higher tier since you end up at the level where your server is usually evenly matched to the others. I would suggest spending less time making threads like this and more time uniting your server and organising events like we did.

Ill have a look If i can get you some names though, i usually just tell my players to block and delete any of those kind of mails and im not in contact with the guild leaders who jumped ship.
I don’t hate you, im just disappointed with all of these threads, you risk ruining other servers because you want to move a rank higher which is a meaningless number in itself. lower tier servers suffer and end up dead because of it. Its killing the game for alot of people and for no good reason.
Its a shame underworld can only really fully populate 3 out of the 4 areas right now, if we had more guys we could make this even more closer!

I was in the teamspeak meeting where a number of Gandara “reps” had joined and invited the guilds to move, he was selling how you had the numbers and the night team and all you needed was experienced commanders and leaders to unite the server blah blah blah, you get the idea. Then those guilds all jumped ship, taking 1000s of players with them and crippling our server at first.
Its disheartening that underworld probably wont get much higher even though we are organised and united because servers like yours beg others to jump ship.
Hell my guildies get whispers from different servers including yours asking them if they can get there guild to move or what to move and join one of your guilds.
Fact is not everyone can be number 1, if your server cant hold its rank it will drop until you hit evenly matched numbers like we are experiencing now.
Enjoy the game, if you drop you drop but trying to mess up other servers to solve your own issues isn’t fair on anyone

Now this is just sad, you took 10 guilds from underworld 2 weeks ago, taking the majority of our wvw population claiming you were an amazing server on the way up already! and you still cant defend yourself, while underworld recovered and united all of its server and is moving up the ranks.
If you can’t keep your rank, you drop. You shouldn’t try to ruin even more servers with you’re own selfishness begging guilds to move to your server and save you.
2 vs 1 isnt going to be fixed by server population, fact is until you get it 1vs1vs1 you aren’t going to last very long.
At this point you have numbers, your communication and organisation is the issue now i imagine.
It looks like GH will be facing Underworld and Drakkar Lake next week, Underworld had 10+ wvw guilds jump ship to gandara a few weeks ago and since they left we have reformed our servers alliance and now with not even half the players we had before have jumped 3 ranks higher in 1 week.
If we can fix our server you can too.
Im sure we can give you a good battle anyway, lower tier doesn’t mean less fun, it just means less queuing
Hey, I’m the Wvw Alliance leader for Underworld, considering we lost 12+ wvw guilds to Gandara a few weeks ago I think we have made a rather nice come back :P
Ill do my best to keep morale up, although we do seem to be short a lot of our population this week.
The scores are close enough for it to be enjoyable, Infact I imagine next week we will give you a run for your money at this rate
Drakkar last weekend was rather impressive, we had to get an entire alliance on to stop you steamrolling everything at one point.
I find this kind of thread amusing, On underworld we had an alliance of around 14 large guilds all going towards max players. After we dropped in ranks 12 of those guilds moved servers to Gandara and other higher rank worlds
It left my guild and another to reform the entire alliance network on a server which had just lost half of its WvW population in a single week.
Now 2 weeks later we have moved 3 ranks higher and next week will be 1 tier below Gandara the server, which was 3 tiers higher when we started.
If you all have to jump ship move to a server like ours, we have the organisation and now we are fighting to get the entire server involved.
Cowards will always jump ship when they start to lose, your server is still higher ranked than mine, at worst you will end up in the same tier as us
One of your “community” was kind enough to spam my private guild members with invites to your server.
Not only is this a lame move since you spammed, but you went onto a PRIVATE community and sent private messages asking those members if they wanted to leave that community.
If your server is that terrible that it cant find members other than this that says more about your server then mine, bugging every guild from every server below yours is pathetic.
Maybe you should bring that up at your meeting, you just managed to ruin your servers reputation to me and my community.
At this point even my guild, which is the one of the most stubborn in the alliance has seen what will happen.
Think about it like this, even if we all stay and only a few guilds move each guild that moves removes 100-500 wvw players from our pool. At a time where we are already outmanned.
Its now can our entire zerg hold one tower instead of a few weeks ago when we dominated entire maps.
If all of these guilds move I cant think of 3 large 500 man wvw guilds that would be on our server anymore :/
Anet really messed up our server, we have had a low population of active players for over a month now.
I’ve had a quick think about wvw as a whole and believe these changes make the game much more tactical and promotes less zerg based activities.
1.Supply should become this valuable and important resource that wins battles, instead of the current, we need supply lets take a camp once then forget about it attitude we currently have.
I would double if not triple how much a Dolyak can carry to a keep and how much a keep can hold.
2. I would make it so normal players can move supply into keeps themselves but at the cost of not been able to fight while carrying the crate ( this forces zergs to protect supply runners) as well as players able to attack supply runners and steal the supply for their nations themselves.
3. Firing a cannon and other base upgrades would cost supply, meaning a siege is literally how long a base can hold out for with the supply they have.
4. upgrades can be sped up by players by manually moving supply to a wall and building, this allows players to help workers construct and build walls up and so on. Waiting 4 hours to not even get half way in a case that could be taken in 5 minutes is insane.
5. Add support rewards: healing, rezzing and supply running give exp just like combat does, much like in Pvp you earn glory for doing more than just killing. This promotes more strategic play as buffing and healing your friends would give you a reward instead of just expecting you to attack and think about only yourself
6. Commander abilities. Commanders should have more abilities, such as war banners which grant nearby troops a bonus for staying close to the leader.
I would also add commander global skills such as opening a portal from the start spawn to 1 base that is under attack, the portal would last 2 minutes and have a 20 minute cooldown and so on, you get the idea.
Infact I would give commanders the ability to choose where the dolyaks move supply too as well as global map commands for everyone online to see.
7. More AI, I would like to see a out manned bonus for worlds that are losing, If your world is 3rd in the points more stronger Ai spawn to defend your bases, or run patrols around the map to give the worlds which are outnumbered a little more help.
8. you have died and now have to walk 5 minutes to the frontline is more than enough punishment for having to respawn, a cash punishment is going to make people not want to roll a risky character eg melee and not play wvw as much if their world is losing.
9. remove keep upgrade costs, guilds don’t get rewards for owning a castle, so spending a lot of money upgrading the walls and spending guild influence leaves guilds which play often in debt which isn’t a positive incentive to play wvw.
10. AI farmers: Supply camps spawn AI that cut down trees to make supply which they transport to the dolyaks to be transported to bases. If this is changed it means smaller squads can harass and attack these AI preventing a supply camp from producing supply entirely, it gives smaller groups more influence as you wont need a zerg to slow down the supply production.
11. Make bases generally stronger, Gates and so on are far to weak, The problem i have with wvw is that towers change hands every few minutes but cost hours to upgrade, both needs to be improved on, if a keep takes 15 minutes to siege with an entire zerg and more siege equipment that keep is now more valuable to hold. Combined with the previous changes keeps now become a more interesting battle which you can attack and defend in a much greater number of ways.
12. Guild influence rewards for holding a keep, I recently spent over 10k influence on 12 hours of upgrades for one of my towers. I then spent close to 1g upgrading that tower. I got no benefit from this other than my server having a few extra points, where is my guilds reward for this time invested? If you want people to care more about these things and not just claim a keep to never upgrade it you need to add incentive.
13. All siege gear can be used by anyone, including enemies with the exception of golems. This means that if someone has a huge fort with tons of siege gear on it and its taken the enemy side can take the siege defense for themselves, this gives the bonus of not killing all of the siege when you take the keep giving your team an advantage in defense. This also means that if you set up siege to attack a castle and the enemy team come behind you and take out your guards they can use that siege gear on your own troops, which means siege defense is not even more important

Sounds like a very well thought out system, I find that if the matches have 1 team so far ahead the other 2 stop playing which means less enjoyment for everyone involved
Loco thats bull and you know it, Our server has a huge alliance of guilds who for weeks were running alliance events daily over and over.
Its nothing todo with organisation, we are on a PvE server, with a huge amount of inactive players. We are outmanned in most battles we are in because of this.
We are organised, we have the vast majority of our servers commanders in the alliance and we have tried to make a difference. Theres only so much you can do when your server is outmanned 5vs1 all day every day.
As one of the largest guild leaders on underworld I need to correct your misconceptions. We already have an alliance of all of the largest wvw guilds on our server, with over 13 guilds a part of the same alliance at one point, we only started winning games when we formed the alliance. In fact this was the score the first time we met up as an alliance.
Our server has been dying for over a month now, when Elysium and the other greek alliance guilds moved servers we lost the Eternal battlegrounds main wvw force for our server, which had a add on effect of us either spreading our forces between all maps or having to focus on just one.
Other servers would take over Eternal as we didn’t have the man power to defend it anymore which meant the enemy forces could move more men onto other borderlands making it much harder for everyone. 3 or 4 weeks of this has caused other guilds not in the alliance to leave, meaning we have less public wvw guilds around to pick up the slack.
Now after weeks of us all playing together and still having the outmanned buff we are all disheartened, infact its come to the point where most of the WvW players are alliance and we are still outnumbered everyday.
End of the day we are on a server without a high WvW population anymore, and its ruining the enjoyment of players in guilds who enjoy WvW and want to play without being outnumbered in every situation we find ourselves in.
Fact is you are here whining about us when you have no idea what you are talking about, we united and still couldn’t get the same population as other servers since Underworld is a PvE server we have always been at a disadvantage. I have never even seen 1 of your guilds players on WvW, its unfair for you to judge so many guilds who have committed to daily events for months when you have such a small presence yourselves.
We have known about the leavers for weeks and we still stayed, Its just got to a point now where its often 5vs1, with everyone on our borderland uniting together and still been outnumbered in such a huge way its not enjoyable respawning over and over.
Im under the impression around 5-9 huge WvW guilds are leaving soon. Possibly more, you can’t blame that many people saying its their fault, if you want to blame anyone blame yourselves for not joining the majority and helping out.
those guild options are needed. If they dont add them ill be annoyed since they are basic requirements to running a 500 man guild

allows guild leader to create squads for guild members putting all guild members together.
Its like commander but for guild members only not randomers
Im an Alliance leader for one of the biggest underworlds alliances, I know for a fact that as a alliance we have over 50 golem blueprints as we all run jumping puzzles daily.
Its very easy for us to deploy golems as an alliance and destroy a door very quickly.
Most likely this thread was made because of how badly ring of fire are losing(last time i looked they had 0 points per tick) , its easier to blame the winners claiming foul play than to admit maybe your server just isn’t very organised.

Very nice post, I have similar thoughts on night capping. The international server hopping isn’t helping either since the servers they hop to are the servers who already win meaning the servers who don’t always win are handicapped
Im finding it hard to manage my guild properly without these features, i hope they get added soon
If a French (FR) server is 100% German players is it really a French server?
I didn’t realise I had to appeal to everyone all the time. to get 24 hour coverage on a EU server US players will have to move into the server first.
Most likely this wont happen unless they get a benefit for doing so, most players who care so much about wvw will move to the server that wins all the time anyway ignoring the rest.
No matter what you say Anet has to do something to reduce the player region gaps, thats not a debate.
Either people have to move onto mixed servers giving everyone the same advantages or anet has to do something along the lines of 1 of those 3 suggestions mentioned earlier.
Otherwise the servers will become even more unbalanced and lower servers will lose all population and become ghost servers.
Also underworld are winning , so stop the whole “omgz underworld always complain” rubbish.
I like balanced competitive gameplay, its obvious night capping works for some servers and others cant do it so theres a hole that needs fixing if wvw is going to be competitive without unfair. Its bad enough people move to a new server if there world loses.
All region locking will do is stop legitimate/honest players from playing on the server they want with their guild/friends.
Everyone else will setup a proxy in the region they want to connect to and connect anyway. A change like this would unfortunately solve nothing.
I imagine it would prevent many players doing it if they had to proxy first.
The only two ways I can think of making this fairer for you would be :
1. Limit how many out of region players a server can have to say 10% of the cap per server. This allows you to stay but stops a huge night player zerg from moving onto a out of region server and gives players in that region easier access to a server in there region so they wont lag.
or
2. Increase the value of prime time WvW points depending on the region youre in.
So If youre in europe say 11am- midnight GMT is prime time so between those times what happens on WvW is worth more meaning players who fight during prime time are going to be worth more in the long run meaning day time tactics will be the focus of a server.
or
3. remove Orbs/ nerf them to a none combat bonus
Otherwise coming online to see the other servers 3 orbs they got from a night raid will give youre enemies a huge advantage since they got them while noone was around to defend but now you have to fight an army of upgraded players to get them back

The awkward moment when a player doesnt know the differences between a real war and wvw…
keep in mind in a real war the soldiers on a battlefield are in the same timezone when they fight usually… if you shoot at a sleeping soldier he wakes up.

As the title says , this is a feature most mmos have these days and even guild wars 1 had.
I want to see when players last logged online to say the least.
Maybe add a “status” so users can set themselves to " on holiday" or other similar titles so its easier to track where a player has got too.
Id also like to separate kick,promote and invite into separate options instead of one group, im my guild officers can invite but only I should be allowed to promote or kick.
So my guild should unethically move to an US server to take advantage of this poor design by anet?
The reason they are top is probably because they have players from other timezones not player skill which in a competitive environment is a poor addition to a game
Although chima the only thing I can think of to make it fairer would be a region cap on people outside of your region. Then you could still play but you couldn’t have a server thats half Eu and half NA
Ping will effect all of us surely, if they have a bad ping wont they be jumping all over the place making it harder for players to kill them?

U blaming it on ping on other timezone has a flaw when u are complaining about nightcapping.

The ping part was to the guy who said players who move region will have a worse ping.
Ping isnt the issue, the orb of power morning bonus to the servers who night capped is.
In Pvp if you had one team with 10 players and the other with 1 over and over for 1/4 of the time would you consider it fair? for such a large game mechanic to be based on a system that allows that to happen for some servers its an issue.
In the long run this will cause an issue with server balance as servers of mixed regions will always beat one region.
The only other fix I can think of is if all servers were mixed all the time or that during “prime times” say midday to midnight for that regions time points are higher which means home region guilds are more important that region jumpers

Yet your sense of entitlement rivals some of Azeroth’s finest.
I would care less if Orbs didn’t exist/ gave less of a bonus and upgrades didn’t take so long and cost so much for what they are.
Fix those parts and night cap all you want. Otherwise night capping gives a large advantage over servers who don’t have other regional guilds joining them.

Even if the devs intended it to be like this its a really bad design.
Consider this, while youre asleep a guild from another region has taken all of the orbs from the other worlds. You now log online to see this and have to retake your bases back while the enemy team has a huge stat bonus.
The only defense is to move servers and take advantage of this or have other regions send guilds over.
The servers who don’t do this will lose out in the long run and players will leave there servers when really they are doing the reasonable thing.
