Of course they wont remove them but they need to fix how easy it is to get with the right group, same issue with the TKS like guilds, 150 people to the same map? crazy

Simply put, how are guilds meant to run large guild missions without having to use parties over and over to warp people into the correct map as we do guild bounties?

Mega servers has literally screwed up how missions can be done, we move to fight a target we have found then end up spending way to much time inviting players to parties so they can move to the correct “overflow”. we have to do this 6 more times to get our bounty. Since the overflows are not named its impossible for them to move to the right one unless they get in the party of the guys who are on the right map, resulting in spamming in chat as players join the right group move maps then leave the group.

At this point I think they need to bring back a home server and stop wasting our time with this forced mega server rubbish, if we can not on purpose choose to go for a mega server or home server map it makes it impossible to run any coordinated event like this. 20 guys warping to a map and ending up on 4 different maps is not a valid feature.

I understand why mega servers are useful but they exist so that low population servers can share population with higher population, it then makes actual coordinated events with people who are on 1 server much harder.

I need a solution for this, we just spent most of the bounty trying to coordinate 3 groups getting on the right maps in time to kill the bosses. imagine 60 players spread out over a load of different maps confused and getting mixed up with whose on the right server and getting the right players onto that map.

Some sort of move to the same map as this player from the guild menu or allowing players to choose the overflow they move to like on guildwars 1 is really needed but for the next 6months until anet fix this i need a solution for my guilds events.

Anyone got a better idea? tonight was just chaos…

Underworlds a great server which used to be higher up in silver tier and many of the wvwers from that era are still here fighting!. Any guilds interested in large scale world events with other guilds, cooperative wvw , fun before point obsession etc just send me a mail

remember 1 player in bronze league is the same kitten in tier 1, personal skill is much more important down here.

Just out of curiosity, is Robert Fenwick still there ? xD

From a former UW player, the server is very good and arcane mayhem (the guild of Robert Fenwick) is very nice! I didnt leave the server because it was bad, I left because my friends left too. The community is very very friendly. I dont know if you remember me Rob, but I only left because my friends did too, nothing personal. Anyway, if you want a frendly, casual server feel free to join UW.

You say that but most of the Wvw guilds on uw were obsessed with zerg wiping in open field not points.

I want to have fun above all else. Points are nice but not a requirement of fun, the point of our events was to boost morale and focus on taking our the fortified structures and waypoints so the enemy had to start from scratch for whoever took over from us.

It was nothing to do with farming , it was 3 hours of taking a large number of players and some elite guys to smash up the enemy defenses so whoever came next could retake it easier.

It was a tactical call to boost morale and weaken the enemy defenses, if we dont have coverage we cant hold them all day everyday anyway but we can stop the enemy upgrading

Fun?! Maybe it was fun for you and others that showed up 1-2 times per matchup in wvw, for your monster blob events with ppl recruited in LA.

For the ones who actually fought for UW durring the entire season, it was hell. Outmaned 24/7 and only few capable people to fight with, rest of the wvw population being AP hunters at that that time.

I’m not here to sabotage your recruitment thread, it just bugs me seeing you still talk crap on the forums after all this time. You still fail to understand that you dont even come close to a wvw player, so stop already talking from the point of view of a wvw player. Have fun durring season 2.

We had focused guild coop events every day for the entire league actually, and we have had the same ever since, the league actually got my guild into wvw much more than before. Wvw is what you make of it, if you need numbers you ask other guilds for help, if you cant have fun with less numbers you find ways to make it fun again.

Sigh anyone who claims the “youre not a REAL scotsman” is an instant ignore :P you lose all credibility the moment you play that card. You cant use an informal fallacy as the basis of an argument unless being a real wvwer has a list of set attributes that everyone has previously agreed on.

And Eze is going well! we had to create a 2nd guild for the wvwers, im having a lot of fun to be honest! i dont think im suited for the higher queues and pop of gandara wvw personally, i like jumping around ha. Waiting is hard :P

It believed that the number is accounts LINKED to a server not actually active on it so any dead accounts might come back at any time are counted.

hence why uw which had a huge pop on day 1 is on very high

I will ignore the nastiness from that group… most of uw knows its nonsense, they really have no place in this thread.

UW used to be decent and still got good peeps in there but it fell far too low in tiers at an alarming rate for reasons I perceived as season 1 hype bandwagon effect. it is something only the server’s community would know for certain though…

That was pretty much it.

Basically 2 weeks before season 1 we realised we were going to be the last slot of silver and wouldn’t win against any of the other servers without transfers. Then there was a debate about moving to bronze league which caused a huge arguement.

The guilds who wanted to be in bronze moved to the lower servers and after those guilds left a load of the other guilds then left after it was to late to fix the points and they realised how bad it was. They spread out over silver and then the bandwagon effect kicks in

1 guild leaves, then next panics and leaves, the next sees 2 guilds left and panics :P etc.

We had a lot of fun in league 1 anyway but we were outmanned alot :P so had to resort to a lot of sneaky tactics like put rams at every tower at once etc :P

We were basically in a really bad spot before the last league ha, its a shame because if we had moved down 1 rank before it had started and everyone left we would have been evenly matched with a large chunk of bronze. I guess it was a mix of wvw pride and bandwagoning in the end

We are short a few guilds that would make bronze league much more fun and even. Tier 1 is great but it must get a bit repetitive fighting the same people on evenly matched terms ;P come down here and actually learn to fight 3vs1

If you cant say anything nice then don’t post since this is an uw thread, although i imagine mods will move it to the correct section soon, starting a flame war on a thread that has nothing to do with you is really petty.

Underworld would love some new guilds, the wvw playing guilds have no problem working together, we share a teamspeak and generally have a lot of fun. We usually have a nice few weekly meet ups as a community for world bosses and that kind of thing.

A few guilds who are interested in having fun and not getting obsessed on PPT would go a long way with us Actually, a few more guilds more and we would have the coverage to jump quite a few ranks 0_o

We have queue free, drama free and fun wvw down here, but new faces are always nice to see

I imagine if 500 players on a lower pop server suddenly leave it would screw over everyone else on the server too and to be honest I don’t want to be THAT guild leader who broke a server like that. Not to mention how we help smaller guilds with events which as a knock on of them considering leaving or disbanding too :/

As much as I admit we COULD move, its not realistic to say we can do it and remain as a guild. Anet made the problem by breaking the population of servers, fixing us on very high when we are not is stat manipulation on anets side and it looks good for new players who want to play the game yes but it leads to servers flaming each other and dying out as populations drop

I control the server I play on, but anet determines which servers get the most help from new transfers and players and they are giving it to the wrong people. Its like giving tax money to the rich and ignoring the poor in another way of looking at it. The people who dont need help get help while the people who do are abandoned like Vabbi.

Anet do not seem to often ban players for this kind of thing, I had 30+ players report a troll once and he was never warned or banned even after openly swearing on map chat and sabotaging our attacks by suiciding our golems and placing siege ontop of ours

there is nothing more demotivating that having an attack fail because of a player like that.

The fact that you end with that statement shows you know very little of how i spend my game time let alone to pull it out in a argument over a completely unrelated topic shows you really have very biased thoughts at this point if you need to resort to personal attacks.
Anyone who runs a 500 man guild will know how much effort it takes to keep it in order, i afk in lions arch while writing mails and managing disputes. I would love to be in wvw all the time but its better that I as 1 player handle those problems so 10 others can go to wvw in my place. Thats logically more efficient and puts more of my guild in wvw, since half of my time is organising other guilds to merge events and work together I think that my time is best spent how I currently spend it.

Anyway to the actual argument at hand

Lowering transfer costs based off wvw rank will cause more transfers yes but thats the point, it makes the higher tiers more expensive than the lower promoting players to move to lower tiers which spreads out the wvw population over more servers than stacking in the highest tiers.

Although I agree that its open to abuse, it still costs a lot of money for players to mass transfer down the tiers over and over and i imagine a cooldown would be added to prevent abuse of the system, no one would move so low that their karma trains were unstoppable, it would mean no one would retake the land and they would barely profit from it making it pointless to move so low that wvwers cant attack back, even if you moved down a few tiers, by moving down to farm you would force that server up the ranks but unless your guild is 500 man it wont move THAT much to make moving often cost effective.

I lead the largest mixed guild on UW, a minority are wvw players so yes I did take the others into account, I have monitored the population of UW since the start including dungeons, wvw, pvp and world bosses and compared to now we barely have 5% of what we had at those spots a year ago even though we are still on the same population level according to anet, Recruitment is much slower than before and I haven’t seen an overflow for a long long time now. You may have friends on underworld but I have 500 players to monitor, I know how many become inactive every month and how fast I can replace them not to mention how other guilds on the server are struggling or dying out,

From a logical point of view the only content of the gameplay that is effected by server population and cant be fixed by guesting is WvW meaning that WvW should be the factor of what chooses the price of the server to move too.
If it costs 100 gold to move to a server of 50-50 pve and wvwers but 50gold to move to a server thats 10 to 90 in favour of wvwers then thats a major balance issue as the server which needs the transfers wont get them.

The only issue against this is server hardware but the solution is that if a player is inactive for more than X amount of time say 6 months his account isn’t counted as part of the servers total count anymore until he returns, it is unlikely that so many would return to break the hardware quickly giving anet time to slow transfers

Keep in mind that I have personally negotiated with entire alliances who wanted to move to underworld, representing over 1000 players who wanted to move to a lower tier, they could not afford to move to underworld so moved to the servers around us instead who before the move had equal wvw pop as we did because those servers had half the cost we did, so I know what the problem is more than anyone.

Not everyone will love WvW, demanding everyone on a server play wvw is stupid and really never going to happen. The situation we have is that servers got stacked because even though they had a huge wvw population they had a lower transfer cost early into the game so like minded players got together leaving the more expensive servers with low or no transfers.

It is better for the game that if there are 10 servers and 1000 wvwers that every server gets 100 wvwers, making every server balanced against each other in total wvw player count than stacking the first 4 servers and leaving the other 6 with 10 wvwers.

We balance this by making wvw rank the factor which determines the cost to transfer and we remove punishments for guilds that move to lower tiers.
Doing this will help to allow the wvw population to spread out over the tiers, eliminating queues in higher tiers and helping to balance match ups more equally.

Demanding everyone on uw start playing wvw due to a SERVER caused balance issue is not acceptable, logical or even realistic. Anet broke the servers and its not the players who should have to solve the problem as its out of our control.

Moving servers for me is not an option, I have the only 500 man guild on my server, If I leave it would cost an insane amount and take a huge amount of time

saying move servers isnt acceptable since this is a server balance issue not a player issue, anet broke the transfer costs not the players which is what caused this mess in the first place

We don’t have coverage, end of discussion, stop complaining about something we cannot control.

Most of the active guilds i know play together, run events and focus on fun over PPT. last night we flipped all of reds border, them retook home from green, 4 hours of mainly 3 guilds cooperating filled the maps and retook everything back.

At the same time, we flipped greens WP on SM, and coordinated attacks on several maps at once retaking our land before red and green could react. I would argue that skill wise we are equal to the other servers, we just have different pop levels at different times.

We are having fun doing it, we might not be winning but kitten we are having fun since we know we cant hold our maps 24/7 we focus on holding EB and branching out when we have extra players

The moment players stop caring about PPT and focus on having fun is the moment that politics, drama and flame wars end on underworld and everyone actually has fun.

I actually got gold thrown at me by pugs yesterday for making wvw fun for them again, I suggest you all try the same focus, Fun not points

Underworld just doesnt have coverage, we are stuck on very high and have been for the last year so we havent had any transfers really.

anet broke uws population and is really slow to fix it :P

WvW is fine for me and my guild due to our size, but the others struggle to get an organised zerg going which is a reason so many left.

We will see :P im sure i can come and cap more of your stuff like i did on eb last night.

Why? Because Anet seems like count dead accounts too.

There are no dead accounts. All accounts can become active at any time, and a part of the inactive accounts do become active again, daily. They have to keep the ‘headroom’ to accommodate players returning to the game after months of inactivity. They have to keep even more headroom for a surge of players returning during holidays and vacations.

They do count dead accounts… a dead account is a player who isnt coming back to the game

or takes a large break, i know there are alot of them since ive kicked 100 players a month from my guild for inactivity for a long time now . theres noway uw can be counted at very high, recruitment is much slower and there are maybe 2 guilds close to 500 on the entire server at best the other i havent seen for a while so they might not even be here anymore

its a fact that anets done something to include inactive accounts or have fixed the server pop record so it looks higher than it is by a lot. ROS just got what 10 new guilds? still at medium…

The players who play WvW casually in Underworld have left the game and the players who play it seriously switched to Ruins of Surmia.
That’s the bitter truth. I know this isn’t helping your case but, I’d switch over to RoS while the transfer fee is minimal. You can’t expect anyone to fix this issue. Everytime a server looses it gets demoralised and people transfer to a better there is no “fix” to it.

Actually out of the guilds moving to ROS only one of them is hardcore wvw, the others are casual and none of them have many players. ther hardcore guilds moved to higher tiers excluding a few and the more casual are moving to ROS, you got it mixed up man :P

And anyone with half a brain will be able to figure out that stacking ROS is a stupid idea, lets put everyone in bronze league on one servers so ROS steamroll in bronze but still don’t have enough to get far in silver.

Bandwagoning to one server is never a good idea and will actually make wvw worse for you guys ironically. Thats the position underworld was in just before the league, we would have dominated bronze easily but didnt have enough for silver.

Thing is they are losing players from the game over this, ive removed so many inactive members since this all started, they told me they were sick of anets lack of meaningfull updates and that kind of thing and to be honest i agree. I always ask them why they are leaving the game and its always complaints about the 2 week content or how getting steamrolled isnt fun.

if they keep this up the lower tiers will just quit

I would rather have 2 months of updates i want that should have been ingame from release than 6months of living story nonsense.

Basing transfer cost on active wvw population is stupid mainly because it is impossible to define what an active wvw player is. It would also take up a whole lot of resources for Anet to keep up with the ever changing performance of servers.

Also, do you guys seriously think that free/reduced transfer costs would attract guilds to transfer down? There’s a reason why servers in the Bronze League are there…. and population isn’t the only factor.

Transfer cost would be based off league ranking not wvw population, its the only fair way to figure out how a server is in wvw.

and ive already spoken to some guilds who would transfer to underworld if it was much cheaper or free. including guilds who originally moved off underworld in the first place due to the transfer problem

population isnt the only factor but transfer costs are a huge factor on where a guild moves too, why would you move to a lower ranked server which is on very high when you can go to ROS which is medium and is already full of wvwers? if its going to cost you double to move to a very high knowing that not everyone will be willing to pay so much then you will go for the cheaper option

over the last year ive spoken to guilds representing 1000s of players who wanted to move to a server like underworld but decided against it last minute because of the higher cost. a year later this has broken our server and although my server pride doesnt want to admit it, its time anet sorts it out

ROS has many more players than we do but is on medium while we are on very high, i think that speaks wonders for how broken the measurement is, i have yet to see underworld go less than very high, even when we had 11 guilds of 200+ move in one week a year ago i didnt see it change, and now looking at a near empty lions arch and half filled border in wvw its obvious that the calculation is wrong or broken

Every time I see one of these threads pop up I am hoping for someone to actually post a solution, but I have yet to see a single solution to the problem.

What would be considered a WvW-player?
Someone standing around in spawn for hours?
Someone not doing anything useful for the server (such as trading keeps/farming WXP)?
Someone who logs in for 5 minutes and then leaves?

How often should they update it and so on?

my solution does not need any of that information as its based off league standing. the cost changes depending on your league not your servers population

since wvw is the only part of the game where guesting isnt an option to help another server then basing the transfer costs off how well a server is doing in wvw makes sense

Thats not a valid excuse for anet not sorting it out, and saying it is to late is like saying the game is dead, unless anet wants to abandon thousands of players publically which is not going to be good for there image.

This problem is easy to solve or at least start the balll rolling for the next 3 ideas.

Make it free for a guild to move down to a lower league, make it cost to move UP a league.

Remove any guild reset penalties for guilds who move down(they keep upgrades and influence)

have anet devs play on the lower tier servers so they can understand more than just what tier 1 wvw is like, tier 1 league achievements took a few days while down here while youre getting steamrolled its a few weeks so its important they know gold league isnt the only league for wvw.

The following are more general wvw changes but you get the idea

Consider giving players who move down and fight in a lower league to help a server out a reward if that server improves in rank during the league?

outmanned should be more than just a small buff to magic find, if im outmanned 5 to 1 magic find isnt going to make my life easier. a small stat bonus isnt going to make us able to win 50 vs 10 but its going to make us survive a tad longer, naturally if you arent getting so many stats youre worth an extra player we would rather have the extra player but its going to help to start with.

Different levels of outmanned, if im outmanned at all we should get a small bonus, and the more outmanned we are the bigger it should be so we can gauge how doomed we are and give us a small advantage in 1 on 1.

Underdog bonus: the 2nd and 3rd servers could be given an additional bonus to encourage them to keep fighting, 100% magicfind bonus, some stats etc to encourage those players to keep going instead of quiting when it gets harder. Infact making repairs free for the third server of the week would be a major bonus and maybe 50% off for the 2nd server. If wvw isnt costing you money if you die thats going to make it less painful to wipe to a huge server

Why are you complaining about all of this, RoF and BT have the exact same problem xD RoF has never had a guild group join them before and our main population is very PvE heavy and Blacktide underwent a mass exodus (I think, I could be wrong about that) and with BT war taking all the wvw’ers off that server they are left with next to nothing but the polish guilds like RBL HI and HoD.

So please don’t complain. In fact Underworld might now become the third server to complete the RoF Dzag area we have been search for a third server on the same level as us for way too long since the RiOT, VcY 3rd era of the RoS bandwagoning ruined our last one with GH… RoF vs Dzag vs UW might be the new perfect fight

Its not about who is in the worst situation but the fact that we have identified a problem and since we are from underworld we cant claim to know your servers situation.

Underworld is a prime example of the problem since we have always been on very high since the game came out making transfers impossible for any large guilds.

Based off the next set of guilds to leave i imagine underworld will drop much lower, dzag seems much stronger than us in population

what if the servers in gold were linked to the lower ranked version on bronze? if you are queued on gold you can go to the bronze server, and 50% of that servers score can be added to your own? silver would not work for that but it would solve the bronze population woes and would let bronze leaguers get to play against the best servers and improve

The thing is at this point i feel that the very high population is not a list of active players but people who have played on uw and quit.

if we have at most 2 500 man guilds on the server and arent able to kill teq at prime time due to lack of numbers i think it says a lot about out servers population problems.

If the only part of the game that requires you to have a home server is wvw then pve only players should be removed from how it is calculated, if you have 10 pvers and 90 wvwers and we have 190 pvers and 10 wvwers we would have a higher population but would be much much weaker in wvw than you but our population would say it was higher.

The thing is the fixes are so simple that anet really has no excuse, assuming the game was programmed in any OO manner it should not be hard to add any changes ive mentioned within a few weeks

I imagine if this isnt taken care of servers will die out and players will move to other games.

I loved guildwars 1 and played it for years, guildwars 2 does not have the same long term appeal and care we got in guildwars 1

who cares about a new update every 2 weeks when basic features such as guild management and server population are broken, id rather have a month of no updates and get some basic functionality back that every other game, even guildwars 1 had.

Im bumping this because Anets lack of action after a year of this issue been public is unacceptable, the alternative would be remaking the same thread who is no better

Underworld is losing another 5 guilds this week because of the lack of transfers to our population.

Underworld has been the highest population but lowest wvw population of any server on eu for the entire release of the game, we have always been stuck on very high despite the fact that we have had very few transfers we managed to stay in silver league due to guilds working together.

We lost most of our wvw guilds when the league started as we were stuck on last place of the silver league. and now after the league is over we are losing 5 more guilds for more population reasons.
ROS is going to become the most stacked server on bronze league because its a Medium population server with the wvw population of a silver league server, as its the cheapest option for transfers more and more guilds will be moving there stacking bronze league even more.

My guild itself is one of uws largest guilds and has lost 10% of its total population since the league began as wvw players transfered to higher tiers to avoid steamrolling so this is getting silly and damaging our servers pve as well as wvw.

Anet you messed up, admit it and fix the problem because I am losing more and more players to other games because they just feel like you actually care about anyone outside of gold league.

Waiting to the next league in Feb to even consider making this fix is going to be to late and more guilds will quit the game or move to stacked servers.

This is a problem that needs your full attention, and should have been fixed a year ago when we all knew it was going to be a problem.

My personal suggestions are that Anet remove any guild transfer penalty if a guild moves to a lower ranked server, costs should be much much lower to any lower tier server than any higher no matter what the population of that server is.
And maybe actually visit our server with your developers and see the problems we are facing, I havent heard about a developer on our server for 6months now, come on for an hour, contact me and ill get the remaining guild leaders together to show you the problems we face.

I agree with this idea, although i thought of one step further, match bronze league servers with gold, the 1st place gold goes with the last on bronze.

if youre queued you can go to the partner server and vice versa so bronze league can get to play high level wvw and gold league isnt on queue to play all the time.

possibly share prizes for what each server ends up with

to be honest i think an issue is the small map size, they need to be bigger to make supply routes and waypoints more important, if an entire zerg can supply in 5minutes running around a few camps then there is not much point in needing to upgrade a camp for long.

Supplies are to easy to get and camps to easy to flip.

I have been thinking about how supplies are carried and used for upgrades and am curious about something like this and how it would change wvw. This threads just a bit of a joke so dont take it to seriously.

1.Make upgrades on defenses completable by players:
Players would be able to speed up upgrades manually by transporting supplies from camps to front line towers to speed up making wooden defenses t3.
This means that it doesn’t take as long to upgrade a tower if a zerg is working to build it, this helps to prevent the amount of flipping the enemy servers can do as it gives defenders and attackers a way to create a foothold at the cost of time and effort.

2. Supplies come in the form of a carried box that if the player has they cant attack with without dropping.
Bare with me on this! think about the strategic value of supply if its something that you have to carry and protect to get to the front line.
If you want to weaken the enemies attack you attack the supply carriers forcing the enemy commander to choose between having more supplies on the front line or more players defending the supply carriers.

Say a box carries 25 supplies you cant simply go to a camp and drain it then move on i seconds as a zerg as you have to actually defend that supplies as you take it to the next objective.

small groups now get a huge buff as to slow an enemy zerg down they can focus the box carrying players which helps to reduce the effectiveness of overpopulated servers against smaller.

Strategically it means that parties are much more useful than before as you can intercept the enemy players trying to move supplies to rush an upgrade and cut off the supply routes as well as more players acting as support for the zerg, which means extended sieges

3. Golems become more useful but possibly run out of juice if you keep them away from supplies to long.
Golems are practically now much easier than other methods of siege so require a drawback such as only getting 15-20minutes of steam before needing to be refuel, this stops servers massing 50 golems and steamrolling everything due to there size as they need the fuel to maintain the army.

4. Rams would be buffed, since you actually have to move supply boxes to the rams now, remember the scene with the fire lighter on helms deep running at the bomb? that, defenders could focus aoe at the players trying to carry supplies to the ram building zone, oil would make it impossible to use the supplies without

5. WvW slows down, if you have to move 500 supplies from your frontline deep into the enemies you are actually required to sneak and use skills, if the enemy can see 20 players carrying supplies thats 20 less players able to defend against an attack, much like when a golem is spotted the enemy will assemble to defend unless you are sneakier.
This makes it harder to simply run around flipping towers and extended sieges will last longer if the defenders can cut off the attackers supplies and vice versa for repairs.

This thread is just a bit of fun and I know that realistically anet will never change any of this but its an interesting thought about how wvw would be significantly different with such small changes to how supplies work.

Hmm? you mean that im glad a number of toxic guilds left the server? yes UW had a number of toxic guilds in the past which have now gone, trolling dropped, the eb border divide is gone and the guys who are left are working together for uw.
I am really glad that minority are gone, it will be 1000x easier to speak to guilds who want to move without them around now.
Wvw Elitism dying out was the best thing that could have happened on UW and I wont claim I will miss the toxic guilds who brought it.
As i said before, you can either complain about numbers or that players came from pve :P not both.

We were mathematically short 2 golems, we thought it was amusing at the time since I hate golems and never know how many we need to take down a door.

I think we can accept that I am terrible at ignoring your comments by now, your humour isnt obvious via text no matter how obvious you think it is and your comments are actually more offensive than you seem to realise.

sure, 2 hours a night every day might not sound like a lot but we have what? 5 or so guilds meeting up to play wvw together most days then one or two days like monday where we get everyone we can to come too.

wvw isnt about points, its about taking something t3 from AG :P i have more fun capping than caring about my ppt against servers with 10x our numbers on primetime.

The current pop on uw sucks ill admit but theres not much we can do about it :P so id rather focus on ninjaing things from AG like on reset than caring out PPT against impossible odds

Its true our dashes dont do anything for PPT but thats because that was never the point of them, its about fun wvw events for everyone, doubling our guilds daily wvw players and helping smaller guilds get into wvw is more important that the whole PPT obsession, we are bottom ranked of silver league, of course this happened :P but who cares if we can make wvw fun

Garri, for the record I dont care about those two, Im just bored of people slating underworld over and over when they dont try anything to improve the server. its what caused people to fall out in the first place and it drains on morale to see players claiming that the people who come to events are just pver noobs and not real wvwers when most of the servers wvw guilds are working together to improve the server.

Its like what we have in LA, random pvers shouting how wvw is crap when they barely play it or people slating guilds for trying to set up wvw events for no reason other than to be negative.

Underworld filled 2 and a half maps on monday with an hours notice of the event. Its not as bad as people make out, we just dont have the hardcore wvw guilds so when we are against a full zerg of 25 might every buff AG its not going to end well :P

if AG had less numbers the fight would be more even but even equal numbers when one side is a lot better trained is a major difference

I came along for your event.. you spent god knows how long in LA (as usual) while I was on my little Chunk, if I recall you were busy pleading with all incendiary to come along, then plucked some wildly exaggerated number from out of your head cos when I got onto borderlands especially UW bl there was not even half those numbers, but it was fun … moreso after the spawn camping had been dealt with.. you seemed to log off fairly early into it tho … perhaps you went to find more golems

I think you may find a lot of us are in WvW more than you, we just don’t feel the need to be joined at the hip with 20-30 others shouting choo choo from inside our golem suits
As for state of Underworld it is unfortunately that bad.. I have not know it to be so empty for 20+ hrs of the day, just ask the servers we have come up against this past 3 months, especially since Season 1 began, I am sure they are just as bored of hitting empty towers and chasing the butterflies instead …. having a decent size group for 2-3 hours across 7 days of matchup really doesn’t boast to much tbh, but fun is what we make it to be so good luck organising the next one.

I had 55 players stacked on me and 10-20 more roaming at this point which was 8 minutes into the event. I was sitting in LA for 45mins sorting out my guild roster as we fill up rather quick while contacting other guild leaders and announcing the event in chat, since its a hub its the best place to do it

I announced in LA that we had an event, contacted a load of guild leaders and invaded home border, home was outmanned when I entered and full before half of the group made it in, at this point we sent the ET guild group and the rest of the other guilds who couldn’t get in to EB, 5 minutes later I was told that eb was full, so the rest went camp flipping on ranik. At this point we had capped hills and garrison on home and were organising for bay when Vcy arrived ;D

These are screenshots from early into the event on home, we did not use one golem so i am not sure where that comes from, and you can double your estimate of 30 to 60, no wonder reporting zergs is so bad on uw, you cant even count heads accurately :P

So your illusion of not having half the numbers I claim is obviously far from the truth, and if oyu had come and visited our nice zerg it would have been pretty obvious… hell we had 50 players on teamspeak for the first time in months! which says plenty, i doubt 60% of the users were on teamspeak meaning a lot more came without going on ts.

I disconnected due to my buggy internet and couldnt get back into home due to the queue so I assigned another commander to my guild and left them too it, as it was a server event we rotate commanders every hour or so to give others a chance to command.

I hate golems, ive used them once in the last 2 months at least, so i dont know where this golem talk comes from, im a Rams and Catas kind of guy… its sort of my signature :P so i feel you didn’t actually join the event past the spawn or you would have known this.

My guild has daily wvw every day with on average 25 or so man zergs, we invite other guilds along and usually an extra 15 or so guys from other allied guilds join our events most days.

It may be only a few hours a day but its better than nothing, I command those events every other day usually myself after I get home from work.

I apologize to ranik and AG for having to see this, unfortunately on UW we have a problem with a minority of players like blood and luthan here known as “forum warriors” who spend their time slating the effort of everyone else on UW who are actually organising :P There are 2 kinds of people I find, those who whine nonstop about nothing being how they want, and those who actually do something about it :P im sure you can guess which of us 3 belongs in which group.

Underworld is not as bad as they make out, we just dont have the numbers for every map and enough players from other timezones to cover each timezone outside of peak. Also players with the attitude that theres no point trying dont help either :P

Instead of complaining about your servers doing badly and moving to higher tier ones, you should build up your community and DRAW people from tier 1-2-3 servers to your low pop servers because you have a nice community and NO QUES/little lag….

for everyone who isnt a hypocrite.. the issue is when a low pop wvw community is on a server with a high pop pve community, since pvers can guest but wvwers can’t pvers can stay on a server and never actually help the wvw effort while forcing a high gem price to transfer

Tag up or shut up is all i can say to people like you who dont command but moan about those who do.

You whine nonstop about others but you dont tag up yourself, youre not better for wvw than one of those useless afkers at eb spawn.

If you had half a brain you would have figured out that my guilds high score event aims at keeping the zerg alive for as long as possible, it makes players focus on keeping its team alive by staying together, buffing each other and not leaving people behind as well as teaching commanders not to be suicidal with its players. If you have spent an hour keeping each other alive while flipping half of the enemies map you learn a lot more than charging at gates and respawning over and over.

Its called training, you should try it sometime instead of whining about others on the forum.

Think you can do better? tell us your guild and get them into wvw and make a difference, whining that one of the few guilds who has a wvw community stayed on the server and is still fighting is stupid, I gave up a wooden tower to attack a t3 tower of millers, get over it i was 5 players short of having enough supplies to have gotten in and flipped it before millers had even arrived.

So archis guild gave out free items to players to better equip them for wvw? and youre complaining about that? :P

I got an nice exotic drop from your guild and the standard inventory full of loot which adds up! was a good night for gold farming

I never said they were cooperating, i said they were scared to fight each other and only seemed to push uw land instead of each others :P our of the 2 hours of the event you guys didnt take a tower off each other even when the entire enemy zerg was attacking uw for 15mins you wouldnt try to attack, it was kinda lame :P

@Palm, the bounty was getting advertised as “rain has a bounty on your head”, the guys who seem to have done it are your higher ups so generally even if you don’t know about it or arent involved when a guild leader does something like that its seen as a the whole guild, its silly but its just how people word it.

Rain and myself have history, its best to ignore it as a bit of fun, i usually just block anyone like i did the guy spamming me to join him for pve while i was commanding(irony of a me been in wvw while a wvw guild is asking for pve :P )

@Bloodstealer.5978: wvw events are different in mayh, anytime the commander is wiped our high score is reset, so a bounty like this can ruin my high score :P which is important to me haha
