just wanted to pop in a show my support to bringing SAB back into the game, the infinite continue coin has been one of the very few items in game that I paid real money for, I did that to show my support that I really enjoyed this content. Brainstorm, make it so every time you craft an ascended item the next time you craft that same item (can be with different stats next time) it costs 20% less mats, then the following time 40% less mats, then 60% and so forth. craft 5 of the same ascended items and you start making them for free to give out to alts or test new builds.

last I heard there were four teams who take turns releasing their content, with a release every two weeks each team has two months between releases, assuming they have one of those four teams working on pvp rewards and factoring in the Christmas vacation where we miss a two week release, I would guess we should see a pvp rewards update in about two and a half months. though it is possible I’m missing something. but dev’s never comment on time frames so that’s probably about as close a guess as we are going to get.

I do believe the warrior is balanced right now because of this berserker stance bug. I don’t think this is the right way to balance warriors so I do hope they fix it, however when they do fix it they need some kind of buff to compensate for it.

I am only glory rank 22, however ive been in the top 50 of solo arena leaderboards sense it came out, got as high as #14 for awhile. I know how to play, yet am open to suggestions. I have played all professions for a good understanding of each class and how to counter them, however I only play necromancer for competitive pvp.
I have some experience in team arena’s with vent or TS, though not a lot and would like a lot more. if there is any consistent teams I could join that would be great. I am not talking about some guild that constantly swaps out members of a team. I want a team that at least for the most part uses the same people. PM me in game if you think I might be able to join, I am ok with tryouts if need be.

From what I have noticed is the main issue is the lack of a weakness, supposed to be our weakness is to stun lock us, however if someone gets close enough to do that, we just DS and doom them away and because of weakening shroud, terror and on crit procs, they are now burning weakened, 2-4 stacks of bleed with a very long fear on them. that is just to good of a counter for what is supposed to be our weakness. personaly I say if Doom had a 1/4 sec cast time we would not be able to fear while stunned so whenever someone says were OP we have a weakness to tell them about

I play a condition necro. in wvw I can 1v2 a lot of people that don’t quite know what their doing, but with this downed state as it is my marks don’t effect downed foes, I lack any good way to stomp people and because of that a lot of the time I see I can only kill one of the 2 downed people while the other has time to rez himself (especially if he is a ranger). that is why I try my best to run with a thief. necro/thief make a good team, where a necro can destroy whole groups with massive aoe damage a thief can then stomp them all in stealth. we all have our roles in a fight if you want to do a little of everything try ele, that’s supposed to be the ok at everything but not great at anything class.

eternal battle grounds, sarrowsfurnice keep, gate closest to spawn point, while attacking the keep on the 2ed gate it would automatically port me to the other side, this happened 3 times. I don’t know how, but walking through a gate alone is a near instant death.

no way they would make the fear from spectral wall only trigger once, just look at the Mesmer temperal curtain, if you had swiftness when you walked through it then you don’t even get the buff once, I don’t think the current engine the game is running on can tell how many times a foe has gone through it, though probably won’t effect foes that are already feared

assuming these patch notes are real the spite tree is the best place for burning, condition duration is great, already is spiteful marks or chill of death for a master trait and I say get signet mastery for the first major trait, that buff to signet of spite is huge and when traited that’s not that long of a cd (in the future). will be a great way to cover your good conditions so they are not removed so fast.
and with 2 runes of lyssa, 2 runes of the mad king 40% condition duration from food and the 30 from spite and that’s 90% condition duration, you wont even need the +50% fear duration trait

how about an evade hit that stops the target from evading for a few secs, but only takes effect if the attack was evaded. has good back and forth play so you can do something if you know for sure your just going to get evaded anyway and yet can be avoided by the target simply not dodging it.

I was expecting for the necro 1/3 downed HP bug to be fixed. our class special isn’t supposed to be the ability to channel into our downed HP before we go down, its supposed to be a new health bar

in the last state of the game I heard one of the dev’s say he was still deciding between 3 or 4 possible conditions for the DS#5 skill and that when he decided on which one he would give us more info about it. if it was coming out on the 11th we would of heard more about it by now

they have mentioned quite a lot of changes for the necro, all of which sound like they should help a little, after awhile that adds up, however some of the main issues with the necro are the many bugs with the class, and huge patches tend to introduce more bugs that may or may not be fixed soon after.

the necro does not need a lot of help, just a little and as far as that goes it sounds like they will make the class as useful as it should be. you also got to keep in mind though they plan a whole lot of changes for every class, this is supposed to be a massive balance overhaul. even if the necro is fixed or not fixed who knows what will happen to the balance, if they bring down other class’s they wont even need to do anything but fix the necro bugs to make balance correct. so many if’s right now we can only hope for the best

I remember they said they were looking at redoing every skill in death shroud instead of just plopping on a #5 skill, it sounded like there would be a lot of changes to how all the current DS skills will work in the future. I really liked the changes they sounded like they are planning on making for the necro, however I am a bit fearful on the timeframe of they changes coming in, will it take them another 6 months? will there be a million bugs with everything DS related? most the time they even make small changes it makes some horrible bugs, with this complete revamp I am kinda doubting any skill will work properly

I’m remember Anet saying at some point they want to buff conditions in general, (though I highly doubt it will be any time soon), and they should, right now there is far to much condition remover and whether it is pve, pvp or wvw conditions just do less dmg.
so my idea on how to fix it is make condition remover the only way to avoid the condition. what I am saying is any attack that someone evades or is invulnerable to or whatever the condition goes through, they take no damage from the attack, but the condition pushes through. that way condition remover is the only way to avoid damage. also adds in a new gameplay element in that if you think someone is just going to evade your attack anyway, throw on a condition so at least it does something.
in PVE that would still help, because I can think of a few boss fights that the boss is just invulnerable for half the fight. that way groups wouldn’t shun out any condition builds because they could continue to do damage even when all the power builds can’t. let me know what you guys think…

if the hard content concentrates to much on dodge not only does that leave necro’s as useless (no way to get vigor, block or invulnerability skills), but that would also make most builds useless.
already most people accept berserker gear only and that would just make it much more so if they just increase the damage of all the mobs. to make content hard they need to come up with creative mechanics that are hard to master with only a little required dodge

the axe is a 1h I use it with the focus so that it does have chill, and yes the dagger is way better dps, but you can’t be melee at all times, so for a secoundary weapon you need something with range and at least for power builds compared to a scepter or staff it does good dmg. I just think they need to increase the range of the axe to 900

at least for necro power builds they do ok in dungions, the only issues I think they should fix is
(1) how the dagger is single target where nearly every other class’s melee is at least 3 targets at once, because of that you can’t LOS the mobs and burst them all down, sure you have a few aoe skills to help, but nothing that can even compare with a aoe auto attack
(2) the range of the axe is only 600, that works fine for most situations, but there are some boss battles where you need at least 900-1200 range, for that time you can either waste your deathshroud for a few secs before standing around again or use lich form which may kill you because you cant heal while in it. works ok but not nearly as good as any other class. sure you could use the staff, but the staff is used for utility, not dmg, try killing a boss with a staff and it would take hours.

blind works for one attack only, and a lot of attacks use burst attacks at once so blind does almost nothing, not to mention on pve boss’s they are immune to blind, talking about something that sticks

right now necro’s lack vigor and any invulnerability which just makes them face tank in cloth armor which doesn’t work out at all, so how about a condition that works kind of like a reverse dodge, in which while the condition is active that target cannot deal any direct dmg

whatever the new condition is I just hope that its good for both a condition build as well as power builds, right now DS is much more for power builds than condition, but both build types could use some help would like something neutral

All that they have said so far is that they are adding a new condition into the game and that this skill will be the first to use it, that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t do other stuff with that condition, so it could very well also generate life force.
We also know that on most skill bars the #5 skill has the longest cd and that usually means that it is a very powerful skill. considering the #4 skill has a 40 sec cd (I think) I would expect this skill to have at least a 60 sec cd. we can only hope that its a good skill…

just wanted to say thank you for the video, I watch these videos to look at ways I can better play my class and that was a great use of illusionary leap, you made me a better Mesmer because of it. I do prefer my current build though of 30/30/0/10/0, with the 30 on domination you can get 3 mantra casts, that’s 3 heals and with the 10 on inspiration each one of those heals is a condition remover, then switching that condition remover to recharge on feedback for lupi makes the whole place a lot easier

im pretty sure he is talking about the necro’s range rez signet for the kiting rez, and although necro’s can’t ever do massive dmg, they are naturaly defensive, so going full offensive I think they have a good balance with the right build, but as far as carrying a group goes its mainly the person, not so much the class, ive carried groups on my necro though it was a bit harder than some other class’s, you can carry people on any class on the count of just about everything in the game can be solo’d on any class…

I kinda agree with em, not that swamp fractal is hard, but that it hardly scales up at all as you progress to higher fractals. it starts out as the group has no idea what there doing so it appears hard, but once you figuer it out at around scale 6 or so the dificulty barely goes up at all. the difference between scale 1 and scale 48 is like mabey a couple extra traps and the mobs hit harder /mossman running around throwing his axe with agony that one shots you, but easy to avoid that. I think the swamp should scale a lot more as you go up through the fractals, change it as you progress a bit

already have enough laurels to get my amulet and I already bought it. you cannot put it in the mystic forge, so unless there is some strange way to infuse it the most it can give is +5 agony resistance

I don’t know about the 20s or 30s, but for 40+ it doesnt matter how much AR you have at all, I do fracs mainly on my mesmer, I have 30 ar, 1 hit with agony gets me downed, everyone once in awhile the group needs to wipe for whatever reason and I go in to fight the boss nude, I get hit with agony with 0 ar, and I go down just as fast, I cannot figuer out what the use is for ar, and especialy why some groups require 30+ ar, it does nothing

I know when im looking for a 40-48 daily I prefer to go for 48, however I ask everyone in the group if they are at least at 45 before I go in at 48, if anyone is not at least close to 48 I lower the dificulty to adjust to the players around me, its not good to go much higher than the lowest scaled person on your team, if you really want to check on scales then get on an alt, bring em to lians arch and go to each persons overflow and see how high that alt can get in at

I agree that challenge is good and I also hope they do not nerf him, but as for cliffside fractal I dont know of any good player that resets cliffside because its hard, at least those who I know that reset cliffside is because its so long with very bad loot, which is why I personaly love to start on dredge, love the loot and its very easy, maybe long, but every step of they way is rewarding, I just wish they would increase the loot on cliffside, I like the way it is except for the loot

Just a little advice for grawl fractal from someone that has at least made it to scale 52 and would of gone higher if they didn’t take away the best part of the game. Defense does help out for the shaman boss.. Doesn’t matter how much dmg you do to his bubble it just matters how many strikes you get in. the adds will die from reflect and aoe, you just need to stay alive mainly for the first minute adds come up is what matters.The group needs to be together so as to group up adds and stack reflects. But I just wanna say that everywhere else in the game defense is worthless. Even for a guardian most attacks will 1 shot you in other fractals you need to avoid the dmg in the first place. Berserker gear kills mobs faster so you don’t have to play perfect for nearly as long. If you wanna play defense then just bring more reflect and more mobile skills. Spec for avoiding the dmg in the first place, not to try and tank it.

I just wanted to say how boring the fractals have been ever sence someone took away 50+ even numbers, I cant seem to find anyone higher up willing to let me do odd numbers to progress and I cannot do the scale that im at anymore, scale 48 is to easy and boring their are no end game dungions that have any dificulty at all, you can solo or 2 man just about everything, where did my 50+ fractals go to? why would anyone just take away content without any explanation as to why?
