Considering i do 3 – 4 runs a week and i have 18 relics.

Either way, the thing that annoyed me more is people still whining about the lack a ring even after Pristine’s have been introduced.

Running a dungeon doesnt mean that you can play your class, buddy.

Try some WvW or PvP / sPvP – you’ll soon realise you don’t know jack about your class.
The ammount of people that say they know the class after playing PvE is just ridiculous.

Considering my guild can do p1 in 7 -9 minutes… 15 is very very weak.

I’m fairly certain it is stated that a dungeon should be ran how you want? correct?
If i dont want to use my 1 run per day to skip all the mobs i am not going to, so rather than kick me and look for another pug the party usually decides to follow my que and start killing the mobs, especially on the occasions where i do it on Jade Maw – not been kicked there once funnily enough.

Let the haters hate – Gives me more Enjoyment out of playing the game so i am happy.

I mostly run fractals so being the kind soul that i am i just choose to stay behind and solo all the mobs if my party decides to skip – That way if anything goes Pete Tong while i’m doing my solo run someone either has to come back and rezz me, continue with 4, or ( in a few cases) kick me and start over.

None of these bother me to be honest, feels good to know that you have wasted someone’s time who is trying to speed run a dungeon – As stated, people run Dungeons how they want, the way i want is killing mobs – so thats how i do, if the remainder of the party dont agree they know where to go.

My biggest gripe with this is that speed running is now the ‘norm’ – often i will get inside a dungeon and just see my party run past mobs with no forewarning, i then usually recieve a torrent of a abuse for staying and killing the mobs… I’m sorry, but isnt this how they are SUPPOSED to be run? Rather than joining and just assuming that everyone has the patience of a 2 year old child.

If you wanna speed run, do it with other people who want to, if those cant be found thats tough, you run it the proper way or not at all.

As stated, the fact that speed running is now the norm irritates me to the very core, this is why i do my upmost to irritate those ‘skippers’ the best i can.

Yeah totally agree, i think that the Slingshot is by far the best in game skin.

I got the bow from the gemstore but got it with a rare weapon claim ticket from a box, so all in all i was happy – just transmuted it to one of my secondary bows so will use it when the feeling takes me.

Also agree with you that the great saw is just plain awful – dont know why so many people like it – And Arachnophobia, dont even get me started on that cereal box toy.

The skins aren’t bad IMO, yeah they have a xmas feel – thats the whole point, if you were expecting something in the league of the Great Saw then it was never going to come – this is Christmas after all!

They all come with cool frosty particle effects too – shame about the excrement coloureed wood though :/

Don’t mean to burst your bubble Electro but i believe things actually star happening from the 14th (Friday) – Event schedules states that on the 14th we can speak to someone near the snow globe to take part in :

1 – The Jump puzzle
2 – The snowball fight
3 – The bell choir

Or at least this is my understanding anyway, otherwise i really don’t see why the 14th of December would even be mentioned – never mind having a list of new features below tht date.

Must admit i was running 20 in strength and with a simple flip to 20 in arms and the GS might stacking trait my DPS has gone up a ridiculous ammount.

With regards to shouts vs Banners – i notice a lot of people talking about te healing ability of these souts, but you all seem to forget the main use of them. I use FGJ, SIO and OMM. FGJ gives you might and fury – OMM increases damage to a target by 10% – and SIO is purely for cond removal. However coupled with healing shouts i think its a no brainer between banners and shouts.

Oglaf – Considering the Health pool of a warrior is almost double that of a guardian, and toughness is pretty much the same i would have to politely disagree.

I play a healing shout Tank for dungeons and my guardian friend is also a defensive specc’d support class – Warrior is head and shoulders above the Guardian in terms of suvivabilty if you spec it right and know how to use it properly.

Seems a contradiction really considering the name but feel free to run your own test – you’ll be surprised

^ No it doesn’t – a half decent warrior always knows down their target with ‘Stomp’ before using 100B. Me on the other hand – i hit them with 5s of immobilize from longbow – if they use there cond removal for that i then cripple/immobilize with GS skill 4, use skill 5 to get in close – then utility to knock down and 100B them – Still not found a WvWvW player who survives that unless it is a healing shout/tank/condition removal warrior.

Jezvin – Could you please enlighten me as to which skill you mean by ‘axe immobilizes’?

As far as i’m aware, it doesnt unless you have the trait – Immobilize on cripple.

It’s quite simple really, crit GS warrior – knock them down with the utility skill stomp – use 100B while they’re downed and then all there is left to do is press F to finish them off. Easily hit for 15k plus on WvWvW, if they surive (very very unlikely) Immobilize / cripple with skill 4, dash with skill 5, finish with 100B. Be it guardian, healing shouter, tank – they don’t survive. 100B + Knockdown = Unbeatable

I dont think it’s ‘fair’ that some people have a precursor and i don’t – i dont think its fair that some people have the ascended back slot items and i dont – i dont think its fair that some people bought gems early and i now have to pay 5x the price they did 0 i don’t think its fair some people have legendaries and others dont.

Clearly i must have misread the other thread which stated that the script for Karka chest had now finished and if one had not been recieved yet it was unlikely the requirements were met.

Quite frankly i take that as the biggest slap in the face possible, so you are giving out the chest to people who already got one? and people who did not even participate in any portion of the event, yet us who got disconnected dont recieve a chest?

Some guildies have recieved upwards of 5 chest, me on the other hand, none. After over 5 hours of karka slaying in the events, what an absolute joke.

I do have a couple of queries though, i presume by ‘daily’ you mean the chest that comes just above the minimap once you have beaten the Jade Maw?

If this is correct then it starts from 0 – I was helping out a friend on lvl 2 yesterday and after the Jade Maw we both recieved a cest containing 20 relics and some other useless item.

Could you please clarify if this is what i see people referring to as a daily? The way i see it is that the ‘daily’ is available on ANY scale so long as it is even number and involves defeating the Jade, presuming this is the case, i could do it at 2 -12 – 22 – 32… etc?

I am aware that the ring only drops 10+.

Basically, is the daily that keeps being referred to the chest you get after beating Jade for the first time that day in each tier?

I am hoping that someone may be able to help me in regard to the FotM dungeon.

As i’m sure all of you have realised from playing it if one of your party members or yourself are unfortunate enough to get DC’d or ‘lag out’ there is no way of getting back to full party strength without having to restart your progree on the scale selected.

My main question is as follows : Is this a bug? Should we expect a fix anytime soon? Or is this just and extremely poorly thought out game mechanic?

At the moment i can see this casuing me much of a problem as each fractal only takes 10-15 minutes at my current scale. I do however see this developing into an issue when the difficulty and thus time for completion increases. The way i see it DC’s are something you just cant help, sometimes they happen, even to the best of us! There is no way of checking your party ping to see who is the most likely to disconnect meaning that once in a while you are inevetably going to come across a few party members who disconnect.

I do however not believe that this has improved the game in the slightest, in fact, it has made the running of Fotm more like a lottery, running in hope that you will all get to the end without a DC kinda ruins the whole feel of it for me.

Feel free to express your opinions whatever they may be, and all you ‘Elites’ can shoot me down if you wish and tell me to choose my party better, but i wont listen.
