All OP is saying is we should stop slamming Anet for “everything”. He is right about that, we should not blame Anet for everything.
He is making a really good point about all the QQ posts on forums, 99% of those posts were written by people who took a build off of metabattle (the optimal meta build of course), went into ranked and expected to “pwn” immediately. Then when they were not as crazy OP as they thought, since they had no clue, no interest and no inclination to explore why… they came to the forums and complained about certain class/skill/sigil/trait/etc… that killed them. Because obviously they cannot lose with a build from metabattle and them being good and all that.
Sure Anet can be blamed for a lot of things, even balancing based on forum QQ (which is a terrible idea btw.), but we should not blame Anet for our own behavior.
Thank you, I’m honestly starting to believe people who have quit are still lingering on the forums just waiting for the opportunity to give Arena Net a bad rep.
Do you HONESTLY believe they do not care about their own game and the people who spend money to play it?
you’ll find a thread here if you dig deep enough of over 2000 of us letting Anet know how much we HATE skyhammer and want it out of the rotation…
ITS STILL IN THE UNRANKED ROTATION.yes, i honestly think they don’t listen and don’t care.
Incorrect. It is in UNRANKED rotation. It is not in RANKED rotation where it matters most, so yes if it was in ranked rotation then it has been changed otherwise that was a rather stupid request in the first place to basically remove it entirely from the game..
Puck, You’ve been around these forums for a few days posting everywhere. If you look at a lot of the history here most people comment on claims of XYZ op and explain how it isn’t to newer/worse players. There is a lot of strong discussion that goes on in these threads even if not everyone has a solid understanding of mechanics that posts here, most post occur for a reason be it actual imbalance or low skill level; and the rest of the people whom respond on popular threads tend to bring good points to the threads. Even low skill level thread complaints are useful because it brings up conversation on how to counter something and informs a player that they aren’t the only one suffering from a problem and that there is a way to deal with it (improving etc).
The Devs don’t post here for multiple reasons (much being they don’t want to make promises they can’t keep even if they might want to make a change they prob don’t have to resources to do so, If I recall they used to be pretty active on the pvp and subclass forms like way back beta era) It isn’t because the content of threads is lacking (yeah some are but many are not) and the lack of leader-boards and other changes we have are not caused by complaint threads, that’s just silly.
Yeah I really would like to have a lot of changes, I make post about having them all the time, and I do that to keep the reminder there that people want the changes. Am I upset that arena net STILL hasen’t given us many of these changes? Yes of course, I actively invest in the company via in-game store because I love the game. I know they are understaffed in the ability to support all aspects of the game and the PvP game gets the short end of the stick because unlike me, most pvpers don’t purchase In game store items, as much as PvEers do, and PvPers also have less reason to drop money on an Expo (assuming the new specs don’t totally outshine the rest). This is all on top of the fact the PvP size is much less than the PvE. The fact of the matter is PvP generates the least for anet, this means we will always be secondary focus to PvE.
TL;DR: Just because a player is bad doesn’t mean they have the right to post. It’s up to the forum as a community to properly explain to the player what’s likely happening to them and how they can overcome it. Calling them a noob and telling them to just get better doen’t help. Players who explain WHY they are failing and what to work on to improve do help. Anet doesn’t not make changes just because we make dumb posts, that’s silly.
I heavily agree with you on all of this.
My issue is
- the negativity surrounding Arena Net
- the less thought out threads aimed towards them
If in fact as you say, the ‘noobs’ were on here simply asking how to solve a situation then I wouldn’t be here as actively as I am. I hear rage a lot and it is always aimed at arena net not caring or listening, more so in-game but quite a bit on here too. Like I said this community is good compared to most out there. Maybe my observations are very limited considering the time I’ve actually been here but I can kind of tell how it is. People need to learn to make noise without aggression such as
as you pointed out purchasing off the gem store like myself to help fund them, we need more of that as it would help redirect their attention back to PvP.
Thanks for your reply
If i’m to fight something, i want the person I’m playing against to have to think about what they’re doing.
The way the games designed, this is actually discouraged, you’re rewarded more for just hitting whatevers off cooldown and letting procs and sigils do the rest.
And er.. if we’re not to blame Anet, who do you expect us to blame? They are the ones who made the game the way it is..
That is how I felt, especially fighting rangers. They go through a 3 button cycle and drop me while I have to play the piano on my keyboard.
However, Once I found the counter to a ranger they bend to my knees now! A person using a very powerful build has no power if they do not know how to use it to its full potential, if you look up some power rangers competitively, or even WvW there is some skill involved. But my motto is, it is not all about the skill it is about the plays and decision making.
So yes there are some fairly easy to use builds out there but if they are being used in an easy way, they are easy to counter.
You also can’t blame procs and sigils as they are what define your build, without them what else… just utilities and weapon swaps? then it would merely come down to about 4 builds per class of which only 2 would probably be used in meta so it would get stale very quick.
The title is self explanatory but I shall explain.
We all know PvP needs improving or so its accessibility and leader-boards anyhow.
But with constant bombardment of ‘nerf this, nerf that’ … ‘this is too OP, that is too OP’ How can they take this part of the community seriously?
Just because you’re bad at the game or get wiped clean by a pro player does not mean something is wrong with the game.
For example, a necro ruined me, But I didn’t think, wow OP… I have to question why he wiped me, what do I have to look out for. When is the best opportunity to counter, what can I counter with. Is it best to take this man on 2 v 1 due to my class being glass or do I have to find a way to get an advantage on him. Once I’ve asked all the relevant questions and have no way to counter simply because he is just to overpowered THEN I can move onto the forums and voice my opinion.
But I’m seeing countless topics from people coming out of a game and just ranting because they got ruined.
Learn your class, master your class, rework your key-bindings for that class, learn the map, learn the opponents class and builds, learn the best decisions to make for the team. Play smart and work together. Maybe even build a team, go further and communicate via teamspeak. EVEN via team chat, that can be enough sometimes to keep up a good rotation. Lastly… Learn to blame yourself.
Once you have ticked most of these, THEN perhaps consider a rant.
Give Arena net a break and instead constructively give them feedback about what to improve on and give them SOLUTIONS to your problems.
I am no spokesmen but I love this game and I might be the only person saying this right now, but I love their PvP! I just want them to make the best out of it without a few bad apples spoiling everything
Do you HONESTLY believe they do not care about their own game and the people who spend money to play it?
Maybe you should possibly consider looking at NCsoft who can even dictate their financial decisions which may effect where their attention is focused on.
Take a step back and look at the threads and ask yourself if you would like this to be your community of your game. It isn’t the worst and this by far is one of the best communities I’ve have the pleasure of being apart of. But maybe they would listen a bit more if we were actually on their side and not always fighting against them.
Thanks – Ethereal Phantom(ingame)

Here’s an idea to make PvP more successful in this game;
Re-include Solo Queue and the ability to Queue for PvP anywhere you want.
Also while you’re at it, do something about the 4v5s, AFKers and DC’ers. It ruins the fun for the team that gets hindered by some kitten.
Why did they rid the solo Q in the first place?
However I don’t think something as simple as that will fix the game, it may even create more issues in that you might find yourself with even less than 4v5 and even more afkers because they can.
*To avoid this, shout on map chat and form a team.
I do this most of the time and I never struggle as much as people seem to on these forums. I always get games after games.
Let me ask you this though, will you be willing to sacrifice fighting a boss or world event if the Q pops up? Because that is the question you have to ask yourself if they enabled queuing from anywhere, you will only get less people accepting the match as they will just wait for the next one.
If more of the classes were viable I would play PVP more, but I get tired of the same five classes or even watching the same five classes on teams win. It’s boring and it undercuts my motivation to do spvp because the class that I unfortunately chose is not viable, and no matter how good I get (I’m ok) it will not be viable. Sure you find the class in spvp but top teams take five or six classes everytime, with few outliers.
Well create your own team and or prove the community wrong. What class do you play by the way?
So far i would say yes the meta would be 2 heavy armored builds and 3 dps. I dont think its biased i just think maybe they havent found the right ranger to use in meta teams or any underestimated class at that. I asked someone once what the hardest class would be or the weakest and they said mesmer. Now i learned to be almost indestructable in a well coordinated team. I just think people loose and struggle to accept they were outbeaten and outplayed then blame an inbalance or any other reason. A good play an good decision making is what makes a good class not simply class skills
Of course a pve game can be competitive, guild wars 1 was competitive all over. 50% of the competitive side of a game comes from its players not the developers.
Neeeever say never! Lol. But in all seriousness its not to late for arena net, last year boston tournament was really successful an intense. It can happen it just needs a few nessessary changes such as what i stated at the start of this topic to encourage people to take pvp more serious.
Are we all forgetting one crucial element here especially to those who believe only a specific set of classes can contribute to a team with support an stability, heart of thorns will be releasing a few new supporting roles such as the druid for rangers an chronomancer for mesmer also Rangers can use a spirit build for team support, not too sure how it fares in the meta but maybe with enough time given you can somewhat master your playstyle around that build to become an asset to your competitive team. But i believe enough time given any class can make the cut. I might give the ranger a try actually, could be a good mix supporting role
I think Heart of Thorns will reveal all. But still things can be changed before it is released so if we get our voices heard maybe this is guild wars 2 big break!
We can only dream for that is all we ever do
Kako, I like that idea, would be a little complicated I think but possible. It would add another layer to mastering a class as well.
Well , i’ve mastered my build as much as I can with my mesmer. I never get rolled anymore, lowest point would be 150, I class a double digit as a role. But if you’re a good asset to your team and you know how to play the map, you should alone be good enough to make a difference. If you’re struggling, communicate with your team via chat, make suggestions, be proactive. How can a team have any chance of winning with no coordination AT ALL. They can’t so don’t complain when you loose if you have no tactics involved. Here’s me anyhow to give you a little idea.
I 100% agree they should sell PvP at half price or even free. I had discussed this with a couple people before an i had a mix of responses ranging from unfairness to PvErs or it being too unrealistic to even think about. Thing is if you measure the scale of PvE compared to PvP its ha-uge! PvP is a fraction not including WvW so making sPvP more accessible as a cheaper standalone product or even free could help bring publicity into the game. From their the gem store prospers an funds anet even more. But they have to start thinking about an acting on these ideas, they have to be willing to take a risk.
Only problem is, it is more NCsoft we have to convince when it comes to retail.
Yeah like i have been desperately trying to get across was just that bad apples slamming a net woth constant problems, do you think it merely takes a click to resolve a balance or incorperate a whole new pvp leaderboard system at the same time. 4 years is a long time but personally i feel they have done a good job since the first time i played on launch. I think people fail to remember just how much work has been put into this game.
They need more appreciation. Could you imagine doing your best for the game and its fan base to consistently get negative feedback? Like i said to begin with on this thread. Lets focus on the positives an give them solutions to boosting the game rather than problems that waste their time an only add pressure!
A game can take 4 years to flesh itself out, its never too late. Leaderboards is not then main issue here its simply the seperation of good and bad players and more variety to the mathcmaking, leaderboards will not change the gameplay
It is not an opinion, otherwise i would not be playing this game! If a skill has a 3 second activation timer it goes off in 3 seconds, if It has an immediate timer it would go off instantly amongst a barrage of arrows. I am not a blind sheep who follows Arena nets kitten . I love this game I have fun winning and loosing but I see potential to make this game so much more. Of course they care about PvP only they get shtick over and over again from the forums from players who show no remorse for the amount of work put into this game. Its funny how we have people who have this attitude around here and… yet they’re still here. Anonymity makes you feel like a little God right? The evidence i’ve seen is a clustet of people complaining about the upmost nonsense relating to PvP or the same topics revised with no real solution. Jus i want a better this and that. If arena net are to listen they need to get solid ideas from the community of which they can fully understand and appreciate and it aint working when everyone around here is so negative.
Lets compliment Arena net, remember NCsoft are the corrupted part of the company just as EA are to DICE etc.
They care about their game and only hold good intentions.
So, I’ll start:
*Mechanics and responsiveness.
Stealth, evade, invulnerability, dodge all work really well and I’m happy to say this is a solid system. All the timing works immediately with reasonable internet connection, rarely ever experience lag too so always a bonus.
Teleporting is working well for me as a mesmer, few places invalid but I can understand this. Love the illusion mechanic, very different play-styles to most classes when used at its full ability.
Here is some footage of me anyhow.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGQHiBJm3yk
So yeah, give me some ideas to add to this list! what do they do good, go.
Stop harassing Anet with useless posts. No offence but what if I just chose to block you, perhaps because I disagree with you and you’re not allowed to party with me or against me thus resulting in longer queue times and potentially not even playing the game.
If however the there were gold-sellers playing SPvP and wasting party space just to sell then I would understand a problem here. Blocking does not allow you to talk to that person and regardless, what are a bunch of words from an almost anonymous user.
Exactly, hotdog. Anyone has the ability to join either ranked or unranked with no filter to experience. Why play unranked when there’s more at stake on ranked, this is the question I always asked myself. I didn’t care about loosing but I always want a chance to play a good competitive match. Problem is, I may be pinned against anyone, a noob.. a PvE player, build testers etc. Regardless of your skill level we can all just simply jump on to ranked. Where do the pros ever feel like pros then? By a dragon finisher? Well I’ll just buy one. It is too easy for the best and too hard for the beginners, and once the beginners become better they are in the exact same match ups as when they started so it just gets a little stale.
Maybe they could add crafting vendors nearby? or would that cause more delays on the queue, Hmm.
I agree they need to maybe inplement duels, even have a dueling leaderboard. no unranked or ranked. A pure ranked dueling leaderboard.
I do abandon my tests on the A.I as I was testing on them as a warmup for the match. It counts towards nothing to fight them, its purely to up your skill. PvE if you wish to PvE, PvP when you wish to PvP. My whole existance is the Heart of the mists and I have no problems I just talk on map chat and enjoy the space, pimping my charactor and sorting through my inventory etc. Plenty to do.
I think people avoid the unranked maps as they are afraid of performing as they believe it serves certain classes for the best, however the game is about placement, movement and timing, if you are up against a ranger on the map skyhammer and that class is heavy on knock-backs or a hammer warrior which favors the drop offs. Knowing this it can be easy to counter. But because they are unwilling to learn new maps other than what is provided it never becomes competitive. Look how people took stronghold, they slapped it on the unranked and everyone complained while it was just there so most people could experience it and they could generate the most feedback! It has hardly had a chance to become competitive yet and already it is being harassed!
What if Anet are afraid of criticism also and do their best to fix unnecessary issues due to the bad apples that shouter louder than the content. This may also restrict their decisions on game changing mechanics as they are afraid of the stick they may get for it, don’t forget their income is limited to the gem store! So Heart of Thorns is their attempt at a recovery, a potential chance to give the community what it needs, its not too late.
go outfield and practice on the bosses from forest of Nifhel, the svanir and chieften! Have a go at challenging the blue lords pack solo. Go face each A.I class on the opposite end practice movement and combos on different armor bases.
Go to the bots and test your Aoe or single target damage to test damage output. Be creative and use the space to polish your build rotations and learn your skills. Explore the mists, few little jumping puzzles and such.
Leme know if this helped you!
P,S what if you’re in the middle of a boss or PvE event and you are required to accept the vote to play. Will you abandon your achievement to play PvP on demand?
Engi = solo monk. I like it, very difficult class to play and very challenging to face. I like
But then that was the teams inability to knock you off your point. You can stand their all day but when I come I’ll cause trouble for you. I enjoy even my losses as I am never rolled on anymore, I provide the best carrying plays I can for my team, a support in an aggressive way you could say. I rarely get boring games.
Do you still play is the question?
You establish close and mid, create an effective rotation to help either points with ease until you break the opponents rotation and can sneak their far, but only when you’re established and are dominating should you go out of bounds, remember how far you are from helping the team, and how vulnerable you are to being spawned on. You have to play as a team, and never should you provide a fair fight, be that a 5 v 5 battle for mid that be the case. May the best man win.
Here’s one of my best ranked matches, was we zerging, we weren’t even communicating.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGQHiBJm3yk
If that be the case, then it will truly show Arena nets true colours. I will then believe my voice is null. Although I will continue to create content showcasing this games beauty. If I am banned I will appeal. If I an brushed aside I will quit and move on. But I am willing to lay it all down and do my bit for this community. I’ll take the risk rather than fear what ‘could’ happen.
This is me, I’m just getting started, I will bring this game up, even if I do get recruited by them. I would be the spokesmen for their forums. I do believe they care judging by the sheer amount of work pumped into Heart of Thorns. It is their last bid attempt to amass a funding to help the troubled areas of the game. They’ll listen. Most games first 4 years can be a struggle, the difference from the time I started from the time I quit is WvW players were most of the player base for some time accompanied by PvErs. PvP has never really had a big scene. But the boston tournaments show they want it. Anet only mean good and the community is well rounded and well behaved because of it. But PvP has to break those borders in order to become competitive.
I’ll wake the community up.
That is why we must voice out the change they need to implement and the reasons as to why so they can understand it is for the best way to buff the community and not diverge them. PvE has always been solo friendly and casual world map play. PvP needs separation to create a drive for players to become the best thus creating a competitive scene. I’ma keep making noise until I get a response from them.
My mesmer shattering build is my guilty pleasure. I dig you down to 60-70% hp and then go for a 11-13k combo, stealth and down. The whole time, they struggle to get damage off on me let alone… find me.
Fighting thieves and rangers are my best fights because we can all smack out insane damage in a very low time frame but we can all be squished instantly if not ready to slip out of a situation, so its back an forth! I love when a thief goes stealth then a combo the space around me revealing him in the down position only for me to stealth and finish him. I get shivers thinking about it!
It has all of those. People love and enjoy the PvP which is why people still play it. They enjoy the game, then loose and suddenly pull all the problems out without any thought as to why they lost and get frustrated. Its always criticism, but hardly constructive.
What is cheesy? That it is an RPG, an aesthetically pleasing game and well crafted infrastructure making it all work? With good commentators like the 2 that do it quite often keep it up, and stay loyal to Arena net then they have potential. HoT will show a make or change in the growth or degeneration of the community, the expansion may solve their financing enabling them to make some significant changes. But I believe this game has another few years of life and a very succesful one at that. They are in the making process of the expansion still so this is the best time to voice opinions, constructive feed back and SOLUTIONS to help them priorities PvP.
If enough noise is made on solutions rather than problems, then I believe it is possible for them to prioritize their attention, also if they found that PvP generated most revenue from the gem store and people purchased coins off their instead of Gold Sellers then they would statistically realize PvP is showing great potential to focus their attention to and provide fixes that we voice out rather than critique without a solution.
They need to take a plunge, take a risk but they need to know they have the backing of the community. Why would they host a sporting tournament offering $50,000 on the table if they didn’t care for their PvP. Its just people nag them for such negative non constructive feedback that they are constantly pressured to work with rather than being redirected to the wrong things to fix. We need a separate, league or arena for competitive users the same as they had on the original game. Its taken a long time for them to get to where they are with the all the fixes that has made this game diverse and challenging, they also have one of the best PvE, aesthetically and functional living worlds on the market. If only we helped them up, we have the ability to do so through the gem store like I said.
Let me give you guys an Idea, a solution to Anet rather than just stating a problem. We want a visual difference rather than an invisible algorithm. I’ll post my link so you guys can take a look. A more in depth solution, but very simple.
Because I have noticed and felt a change. I’ve played against all classes, competitive and non competitive and I’ve watched tournaments and played in structured teams. I don’t personally know every class by first person hand. But I have faced multiple if not ALL the META builds there is and all the non, I feel balance is in the plays not the classes. A power ranger can not dominate in the competitive scene if he uses the simple build rotation and not with the full combination of the 2hander at which point he is skilled. The class then gets nerfed due to the inability to counter them due to inexperience.
The game is at a balance right now where they can comfortable focus on something a little more important. I am a mesmer if that helps, a reasonably high skill cieling to use, you can imagine the frustration that I have when to pull off a deadly combo I must play the piano on my keyboard whilst the ranger is just giving off pot shots and dropping me. However due to better plays after some beatings, I can safely handle a power ranger in most given situations. The OP classes that the game talks about are minor.
Name me one build that is OP and I will counter it with my class:
Well I came back from a 3 year break. This game has improved drastically and does what it does well. Maybe the new current elite specs will help it but without a competitive separation then it will always be casual. People need to come out and grow with a team to create more competitive arenas.
Well I’m here now and I want to make change. I am really enjoying this game and if only enough people who actually did could help push this game forward. They just see the PvP in a negative way reflecting its community. They need to look past simple issues such as balancing, but encourage team play by introducing what I’ve mentioned above.
Hey I actually touch on this, on what would I believe really fix the competitive edge to PvP, It is a simple fix, but it just takes them a glance to get an idea. A voice and a following would priorities their attention, if more people spoke out about solutions, if we directed them as a community we would stand a chance at changing this for the better and hopefully to its success. I know this game has been out for around 4 years but to balance a game as intricate as this requires such time, especially with their PvE demands. It just about making a noise, not at the small woes that you face daily such as power rangers! Or most OP classes. League of legends provides how ever many champion or ‘professions’ as it is called here without the re-skin and still creates a successful competitive community, you can talk all you wish about the state of it, but they make noise and they support the game rather than assaulting it. We have to do the same.
They look past the perfect balance, if what was the turret engineers that created havvok for afking, almost the same as a power ranger using a 3 button rotation and sniping targets. How do you counter those? By working together or outsmarting the simple plays, turret engi? Focus team on the most dangerous turrets and once they are out, focus engineer as his build will be very simple, easy squish. Power ranger will first flurry you with arrows then block when he is recharging, once you keep away you go in and and strike for an aggressive cleave.
These OP classes take a lot of skill if used correctly however, they only need a place where if you used a simple build simply you would not make it up the leader-boards until a certain point of time or experience from successful games. This can be achieved if there was tier based PvP.
Here is a link to my forum post about it, and it is followed by a demonstration playing competitively solo. I do prefer team games though.
.Ethereal Phantom/Puck
I just posted a little on this topic if you could maybe input we can get our voices heard so something can change, this is essentially what I talk about!
you were going far? you know it takes seconds once the gate open to get to ‘close’ from the eles perspective.
That is incredibly negative, although I get you’re looking at it realistically, we’re not looking at what they cannot achieve, we are looking at what they need to do. The game has had a very bad upbringing especially from the early days, however last year they hosted a tournament in Boston with a total prize of $50,000 on the line with $25,000 to the winning team. That showed me hope.
It wont be easy as to accept these changes, and of course the player base isn’t the strongest, however without the opportunity to segregate the top players from the bottom we will never know how many true pvpers are out there. If I make a premade from a solid guild, if I do not have a ranking system to face other top teams I will have a % to face pugs. Which is not only unfair on them but also unfair on the competitive team as the challenge was nill.
The game needs to be given a chance and if enough people spoke out about this then perhaps Arena Net will make some much needed changes and priorities based on the demand. The community must grow. Being part of the community could also be donating by purchasing some gems and buying aesthetic items. I don’t PVE but I earn my items through PvP and buy skins.
I believe change can happen and I’ll do my best to push this forward. Countless times have I heard people agree that they wish there was more a competitive edge to PvP. People want it, but I’m hear to assist in voicing it.
Hey guys Puck, A.k.a Ethereal Phantom here, I’m relatively new back to the community after a ridiculously long break. HOWEVER. I am mainly based on structured player vs player.
I’ve always loved guild wars 1 PvP and PVE to be fair and I do not fault this games PVE in anyway, i’d love to get into it but I am just not willing to devout that amount of time to that aspect of the game. I like PVP as it comes down to your skill versus another players skill. True test of teamwork and determines who is the best player of the game. PvE is very much limited to the developers mindset, where as PVP is limitless to each and every players ability.
Anyhow enough about me!
- So, there are a few tweaks that restrict this game from becoming competitive without a tournament to force it. We need tier based PVP, a place where you earn your way up a certain leaderboard and reach a level in which only players of that level can play. This allows the competitive players of PvP find a place among fellow competitive players with perhaps teamspeak or any other software even maybe creating one in-game with a push to talk option to make it more accessible. So in thoery it will be similar to League of Legends where you ride up to a league table to play the best players. Having this will allow professionals to play professionals and newcomers or ‘noobs’ an opportunity and a place to test builds, gain some experience or levels without being completeled stomped and squashed against ‘premades’
Here is a video that speaks vaguely on the matter and of course entertaining visuals of Mesmer domination! Enjoy.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yGQHiBJm3yk
- Another point was accessibility, this is the ability to try the game with as little hassle as possible. PvP is a great place for people to get used to the game and test their skills.
If more people are to try and attempt to get into PvP the price should perhaps be lowered for a stand alone heart of the mist sPvP edition. Or even making that area of the game free to play. You may think this is counter productive especially considering the number of developers at the arena net headquarters however, word of mouth is a very strong recruitment process and having the game cheap or free means more people will jump on and try opening up the possibility for more gem store purchases and feedback from inexperienced players.
PvE is a VERY large game when compared to the PvP portion of the game excluding World v world. So it would barely scratch the surface of the full game giving away the sPvP side, it would invite anyone and everyone to test their might. Maybe give the kick PvP has been waiting for!
Constructive feedback and ideas are all welcome! Lets keep this nice and clean to help Arena net instead of always finding faults without solutions.
I’ll post any good ideas on this main part so if this at any point becomes known, the community will be heard.
If they are doing something similar that you heard about in the upcoming Heart of Thorns then correct me, I’d be glad to hear it!
