Hylek are indeed very cool. The amount of effort put into them makes me feel like they’re a strong candidate for a future race option.

kitten hell, the game’s been out less than three weeks.

Also, there is a kitten-ton of stuff to do in the game to keep you busy.

Well, keep saying that. There are ten days until MoP gets released and if ANet can’t come up with a massive content update before September 25th, this game will be forgotten. I’m no wow fan, I’ve never played it because I actually hate it.

There isn’t a ton of things to do in Guild Wars 2 currently. It is 1. get level 80 2. get exotics 3. get bored 4. quit

Because WvWvW is pointless, dungeons are boring and nobody really cares legendary items or world completion.

“But you can explore!!” Yeah, nobody cares. Gotta be realistic sometimes.

I really love this game but I can keep saying “but you can explore!!!” while I’m out of things to do.

Yes, because comparing a game that has been out less than a month to a game that has had 7 years time to develop content is relevant somehow.

People will leave and play MoP. They’ll consume that content, then come back to GW2 because by then ANet will have made more content. They’ll consume that too, then move on again to another MMO with new content.

It’s an ongoing, never ending cycle. There’s always hardcore gamers that hop from game to game because developers simply can’t keep up with the amount of free time they have. The game will live on just fine without them, those types of players were going to leave anyway.

Post a screenshot of your world completion and sets of dungeon armor, please.

Oh, you don’t have those? Well, then there’s still stuff to do while waiting for ANet to deliver more content, which Colin said they will:

No need to buy them, Gw2 will feature consistent free content updates and in-game events going forward. Our goal is to make it so you get more from Gw2 for free than you get from a game you pay a subscription for.

On top of a large amount of free bonus content, we will be expanding on offerings in the Black Lion Trading Company going forward, as well as be doing large-scale expansion content down the road.

We’ll cover a lot of the details on the kind of support and plans we have in place over the next month or so on the Gw2 blog and with our press partners.

We do appreciate that you’d like to buy lots of new content, but we’d prefer to give a lot of it to you for free, cause that’s what we think a responsible MMO company does!

Now for fun, post a screenshot of your /age.

http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn157/neferseki/gw2/gw011.jpg

here ya go, i know its really high, but i know a lot of those hours are from afking in town as well while just checking every half hour if something interesting is happening.

i do also get out and stuff, the reason its so high is because i took some time off when it came out with like 3 hours sleep a day. so most of the hours are from the early days.

i know people are gonna say “that’s what you get for rushing and burning through content” but that’s not really the point.

a good 50 hours was spent farming karma, another 30 or 40 hours was spent farming CoF. so no it’s not about burning through the game it’s just about the sheer repetition of mundane things. need something interesting and difficult (explore dungeons aren’t hard with graveyard zerging its just a matter of bad groups = takes ages, good groups = fast)

Dude… the game has been out for 18 days and you’ve literally played for over 12 days. According to my math, that’s averaging around 7 hours of sleep a day and then playing for every waking hour thereafter. That’s A LOT of AFKing if that’s your claim. I shudder at your electricity bill.

Honestly, it takes a lot of time and effort to make an MMORPG. It’s logistically impossible for ANet to make enough content to keep you content if you play this much.

You know there are more then one elite skill to choose? There are 4 and offer great utility.

Four? There’s only 3 Elite skills for the class. Two are for damage, one is utility.

Signet of Rage, Rampage and Battle Standard

Even though this would be lackluster, I’d prefer this over Juggernaut any day.

We definitely need a revamp to our 30 skill point Elite. I’ve never seen ANYONE using it.

The banner is really sexy. I love it in spvp !

I like the Banner a lot too… the cooldown however is a big turn off.

If those are your only dislikes regarding Warrior, I’m happy to report that there are several Trait options that make gaining Adrenaline very easy.

Go Warrior! You won’t regret it. I highly suggest the Longbow for ranged over Rifle. It’s AOE options are a lot of fun, you can spec for longer range and it’s immobilize is very nice.

Are you the Juggernaut?! Heck no Charles!

I just want to get a post rolling on this Elite skill to see how the community feels about it overall. I personally find it very unappealing and I haven’t seen any other Warrior’s using it. I tried it once while in the Mists and haven’t touched it since.

I don’t like how it gives me an entirely new set of skills that doesn’t involve using my weapons whatsoever. I don’t want to punch, kick and throw boulder’s at my enemy. Warrior’s are supposed to be masters of weaponry and this skill seems to lay outside the spirit of the class.

If you want to see this skill changed or replaced, post your support and suggestions here!

Suggestion:

At the very least Stability granted by this skill shouldn’t be removeable. A skill that has a 3 minute cooldown shouldn’t have it’s best feature easily negated by a skills that have a fraction of that cooldown (Mesmer can remove boons every 12 seconds).

I’d also like to see the secondary skillset it grants removed. Give us all the bonuses Rampage grants, but allow us to continue to use our regular weapon skills.

Personally, I’d like to see the skill changed outright and replaced with something else entirely. Even with my above suggestions, it still pales in comparison to Signet of Rage. We need another Elite skill that grants some utility rather than more damage.

1) Fast Hands doesn’t trigger upon the first in-combat swap in a zone. After the first swap, it works fine thereafter until you go to a new zone.

2) Certain skills… IE. Off-hand Mace Tremor require the Warrior to remain stationary or it cancels the action and starts a short cooldown. No Warrior skills should require the Warrior to remain stationary. Either remove the stationary requirement or lock the Warrior out of movement during the “cast time”.

3) Sword 2 skill will miss if you’re on a higher elevation than your opponent. I won’t even use sword due to how often this skill misses.

In fact, most Warrior “charge” skills have a high miss rate. I suppose this is why other melee classes have teleports instead.

Warrior > Thief?

Every class in the game can do decent damage. It’s just a matter of spec and playstyle. ANet really did a fantastic job of making every class able to hold their own.

As far as your question goes, you’re a little vague on your wants… but it sounds to me like you’re leaning towards Thief. Please keep in mind that Warrior and Thief are very different playstyles.

You have to ask yourself whether you’d prefer to take on problems head on or if you like being able to escape from your problems with ease. Do you like supporting, buffing, healing and keeping your allies mobile? Or would you like to be able to hide your allies from your enemy? Do you think teleporting is REALLY cool? Or are you a REAL MAN who believes the only time an enemy should no longer see you is when they are dead?

Or you could always play both for a bit and then pick which one you like more.

Where are the Epic Looking Axes???

I suppose “epic looking” is subjective but I’ve found quite a few cool looking axes from Karma vendors from certain factions.

I think the Lion’s Guard axe looks pretty spiffy. I really like the Vigil axe too. Some people might think it looks plain, but I think it has a very classic look to it.
