Honestly, I absolutely hate pve. I’m pretty annoyed that I even have to do pve to get the monthly achievements, because I want the coins for the forge but have no desire to be doing carebear stuff.
That being said, I REALLY wish I didn’t have to lay a foot in the PVE zones to get 100% map completion. It’s annoying as f%*k to try to be doing any sort of jumping puzzle, and fall only to walk 10 minutes back from the nearest waypoint.
I just want to PvP without having to attempt and fail at pve just as I’m about to get another POI/vista/jumping puzzle. Please, for the sake of all the people that despise pve, don’t make the land and all pve zones part of world completion

Map size is already questionably big with 4 different maps to play, thus spreading the player base thin. Making us WALK across a bigger map does not help. Its not the maps/strats that’s the issue as that’s for the players to utilize as they please.
The problem is the reward system vs time sink into WvW. You spend hours and get very little in terms of loot/gold/badges. Grats on your karma and exp bro, but that’s about all you’re getting…. Assuming you take a fort/keep which takes forever.
Not really DAOC map was as big as all of the 4 maps combined, I can see where he is comeing from, but Anet cant do what DAOC did. There graphic are way better then DAOC. There is no way to fit that many players on one map, and have really nice graphics, Char detail etc etc at the same time.

You guys are insane, the jumping puzzle is the last bit of TRUE PvP this game has……….
Where else are you going to die to a enemy at every corner if your not carefull or lose somthing if you die (30 mins of time) it takes to get to the near end. WvWvW???? LOL thats just a zergfest, and if you die you just pay your 2 silver and run back to your zerg.
Any thing goes in there and thats why a true pvper loves it……you guys are just crying because you dont have a zerg to protect you……..ZERG DONT THINK ZERG SMASH….
I have had some of the best 1v1 fights in any game, in the puzzle.
There is a way to destroy the enemy siege no matter where they place it.
Me and a group of teamates (20) were camping the gate room with 4 arrow carts, when all of the sudden from behind a treb hit us and destroyed all our siege and killed 5 or 6 of us.
I dont know where they placed it, on some platform behind us……..but it was deff a treb and it was hitting us…..we never could find out where they placed it.
At first I hated it, died atleast 100 times trying to finish it (eather by enemy players camping gate room or falling) I hated that gate room we would be camped all day………………….today I decided to try my luck again at the puzzle.
Zoned in, and a player told me to come with him a mesmer was going to port us up!
I was thinking (YES AT LAST I CAN FINISH )
He ported us up, I got my chest then noticed my teamates were camping the gate room with arrow carts.
Ive been on the bad side of being camped up top alot, but this was the first time I got to be the camper.

To people complaining about the siege camping……try it out once, its really fun. lol
This is a pretty pointless post, attacking one of our objectives while we make a major push for the enemy is called TACTICS.
I don’t know why you are coming on here crying about SBI trying to sabotage you, if they attack, deal with it, build up your defenses and make a push. Just because everything doesn’t go as planned doesn’t mean you have to go getting your panties in a twist.

There were multiple pushes that I was involved in that had stragglers from JQ and from SBI fighting each other at the flank of the zergs. (Despite our calls just to leave JQ alone, I think some people don’t realize there are 3 servers…)
It happens… but never once did the full force of our attack flank you out of SM.
However, there is no “common goal” of making HoD not win, it’s about taking whatever action we think is best for SBI. Which, at this point, only means fighting for second. Maybe next HoDvJQvSBI match up we’ll make some solid 1-week alliance… but it’s far too late for it now.
(To further clarify, at the beginning of a match, I think it’s in the best interest of the bottom two to gang up on the top one if each server is interested only in self preservation, then betraying it at the crucial moment. Like the board game, Risk)
Yeah, you guys were attacking SM on the other side, but for some reason you guys gave up the siege while we were still attacking on our side of SM, and we were also telling our zerg not to attack SBI..We didnt care if you took it or we did as long as HoD lost SM we would of been happy.
But the for some reason you guys gave up on the siege at SM and starting attacking our keeps, that was what I was annoyed about.
WE (JQ) are attacking SM, and instead of helping us by attacking the other end so one of us can take SM, you attack our keeps while we are trying to take SM…..I guess you like HOD being in first place…….so now were having to stop our Siege at SM and defend our keeps from you guys……

Cant wait tell next weeks match up HoD JQ and ET…………atleast ET knows how to work togather for the same goal.(To Knock HoD out of first, seems like all you guys are worred about is geting 2nd place.)

I carry a few blueprints from the jumping puzzle, but nobody has ever asked for them to get deployed. I stopped doing the puzzles as a result. I’m sorry if I don’t know tactics well enough to know where to place them, but I don’t think I’m alone in that regard. And I’ll keep carrying the blueprints, and keep carrying supplies.
One of the best places to put siege down are on keep’s closest to the enemy lines.
It doesnt matter if they are attacking it at the moment or not because sooner or later they will, so you will be ready.
Just make sure when you put the siege down, put it as far back as possible, so enemy AOE cant destroy it.
I didn’t quit because of the bugs, those are expected.
I quit because of the lack or support and the bullkitten diminishin returns system.
Not to mention the lack of endgame.
We are beating Dragonbrand and Crystal Desert by 100k even though they are hitting us from each side.
We have already beat SbI by 100k points, when there masters (HoD) werent there to help them out. And they had to fight us 1v1 with no other server help.
So ET……just move aside and let the big dog go to work, you guys shouldnt be in a tier 1 match up.
Sbi and Hod did the same thing wtih JQ, There is no way SBI can Beat JQ without help, in previous match’s JQ beat SbI by over 100k points. Truth is SbI or Hod cant hang with JQ without help. Just look at what were doing in wvwvw right now there teaming up on us 2v1 and we are still are beating them by 100k points almost……end of story JQ owns all of you
No, whatever enemy players your fighting in wvwvw, would be the players that could enter your “home instance”, And there should be a limit, like there is for wvwvw, 100 players can only enter a enemy home server at once, all others have to que up, like wvwvw.
I have played just about every mmorpg out there, I am a pvp player and wvwvw is really fun, but it just feels like a huge (arena,battleground,warzone, etc). I miss pvp server’s and I miss true open world pvp while questing and exploring. This game would make perfect Open world pvp with the lvl rq. zones.
I feel melee players get the short end of the stick when it comes to spvp, I play a guardian and i have no ranged weapons to choose from, (and no I dont call a scepter a ranged weapon its damage is laughable). Im sick of being kited around all day. I have to use my greatsword because of its leap, but that doesnt work half the time, if a ranger is standing on the roof of a building shooting at me and I try to use my greatsword leap to him I will hit the wall and fall down. My leap should LEAP to him if i am close enough to him. That is my only beef, the greatsword leap is a good gap closer if we are both on the same level or he is 10m away from me, but if he is above me or 30m (shooting at me) away my leap doesnt work.
