yes. YB and SBI are bigger and better zerger servers. Since ive transferred to NSP i have captured a total of 3 towers and 1 keep over a period of a few months. I dont care about winning/score neither do the rest of us

I have taken at least: 10-15 towers, flipped camps 40+ times, and taken keeps (hills an bay) at minimum 15 times, all since the restart, as have just about everyone on all the servers.
So for you to say ‘3 towers and 1 keep’, is absolutely absurd, unless you have only spent 30 minutes in wvw over several months. So please, don’t say that the rest of us don’t care about winning or points.Unless you mean in the past 2 months I havent been a zergling. And the keep capture was at like 3 AM with 4 people because there was no action. Ask anyone, I spend good time in WvW. I just dont care
I am not a zergling either, and I play at all hours of the day and night, due to insomnia. I soloed 5 camps tonight by 2:00 am eastern, and took back our towers at least 6 times in our bl. Sounds to me like you are making up excuses for lack of contribution, and if you really are under the attitude of “I just don’t care”, then perhaps spending ‘good time in WvW’ just isn’t for you. And complaining about, and making generalizations based solely on your inability to help the server, and making statements on the forums regarding your discontent about NSP is not helping you, or NSP. Quite frankly, it is foolish. So please, only speak for yourself in these situations, and do not load the rest of us aboard the pity train. Thank you, and good luck,

I’m not trying to point anyone out specifically, nor am I trying to ‘grief’ someone. I play fair always, I don’t glitch, and I don’t even target players who are dueling or getting vistas, sp’s ect. But I do spend most of my gw2 time in wvw, and I take pride in my server and what we do, so I get extremely frustrated when a couple bad apples do questionable things. Yes, we all have them on our servers, and I have personally told ppl that I have seen doing it on NSP to stop, as it makes all of us look bad., not just NSP. I look forward to having good fights and matchups, and I think that sentiment is shared across all the severs in wvw. And I apologize if I came across as being rather harsh. As to the issue of whether or not an ac zoom glitch was used – either believe me or don’t; I will not argue the point further.

And yes, it can be done. I had a friend stand where I said that the shots hit, and if you zoom in, you can see the green ac target is BEHIND him. I really wish Anet could fix this from happening. I won’t specify exactly how it is done, for obvious reasons. Peace.

the map ping is where I started getting hit at, as were my teammates as we ran to the north gate. and nope, I can’t hit that with an ac from the north gate. sorry

sorry bro, but is wasn’t hitting the wall. it wakittenting the ground on the inside, no where near the wall. that ac is at the north gate. the repair npc is halfway to the east gate, and not visible by an ac using normal screen.

Sorry to burst ur bubble, but I’m not some noob who just bought the game yesterday. I call things out as they are, pure and simple. And I’m not in the habit of making stuff up just for conversation. So either take my word for it, or don’t. Either way, we were there, we saw it.
This pic shows where the ac is, right behind the flag, nearly up against the wall. I know that the red rings in the other 2 pics could be taken for the gate hole shots, but as I said. too busy tryin to stay alive than get pics for the National Geographic. but believe me, the first ac shot that hit me was nearly to the repair npc. Cant do that by any other means than the window-adjustment glitch. just sayin.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not laying blame on all of SBI. I’ve had some very good, fair and square fights with you guys since the reset. But, when we are almost always outnumbered, and crap like this happens, it just steams my clams.
I want you SBI guys to know about it, and try to call out the ones doing it to tell them to stop. Behavior like that makes ALL of us look bad as a community, not just as individual servers. Good luck.

yes, I now all about the gate hole. but, I was unable to get a screen of the ac shots that were WELL beyond the gate hole targeting. like 50ft past the wall. I was too busy trying not to get ripped apart by the 2 ac’s targeting me, sorry.

feel free to justify it however you want. ac’s are not supposed to be able to target past a wall, unless you play in windowed mode, and adjust the size of the window (which is not part of the games intentional design). oh and thanks for speaking up. now we know who did it……

a sincere apology:
somehow, while fighting IOJ over durios, and up against the south wall, I accidently hit 5 (infiltrators arrow) on my thief and ended up on top of the wall, panicked over it and ended up running for my dear existence. got killed on the back steps trying to get back over the wall. I didn’t think to get a screen shot, but I did report it as a bug. again, I apologize. wasn’t my intention to bug my way over a wall and into the tower. tried it out on our keep later in various spots, and was able to replicate it only a few times (which I wont state how).
figured i’d let everyone know about the bug here, as it effects everyone if it gets used.
i’d hate to think what a good (i’m terrible) perma-stealth thief could do by getting into towers alone like this. I don’t think any of us want to see that scenario!

tonight, while attacking durios, I accidently hit 5 while standing under the wall on umber side, and suddenly found myself on top of the wall. got killed pretty fast though. I apologize for this happening, and i’m not really sure exactly how it happened. I meant to use the poison shot, and hit the tele shot instead. please don’t ban me! it was a total accident! I tried to get into a party chat with someone form the opposing server (cant remember who it was IoJ or SF), but couldn’t. please fix this bug before it goes rampant. ty

I’m all in favor of an in-combat weapon swap, heck I’d even be happy with an out-of-combat weapon swap.
And to maintain game balance and keep ele’s from becoming OP, allow only 2 opposing attunements per weapon slot. For example, slot 1 staff, with fire and water spec usage, and slot 2 with d/d air and earth spec.
^But this? Could you clarify? Seems like having access to just 2 attunements on a weapon would throw off its synergy to the point of being unplayable.
my suggestion here, is just to answer the likely reason as to why anet didn’t give us two weapon slots in the first place. I’d doubt that they would be willing to let us have 40 useable weapon skills, as opposed to the 20 we have now. Just imagine what 40 skills would allow an ele to do, as opposed to all the other classes: the ele would nearly dominate the game entirely.
This way, we still have only 20 skills by attunement, to maintain the balance. I’m not looking at the individual weapons abilities, but at the picture as a whole. The most likely scenario, based on combat experience, would be to pair fire and water with a staff for attacking towers, and possibly d/d with air and earth for up close and personal combat. The staff would give the wall clearing and gate healing, and the d/d would give the lighting whip and earth protection.
But like I said, these are just suggestions, based on my own experience playing all classes, and many hours of WvW combat.
So like I could run a d/d elementalist then switch to s/f and die in that instead.
Switching from d/d to s/f in a sudden close combat situation is ludicrous. Should be the other way around.
Having the ability to swap would help a lot. The main function of swapping is that you can also change your range from long-range to melee combat. Attunement swapping just doesn’t give you that ability. All our attunements let us do is swap to another type of combat, but we’re stuck at the same range. It’s the main reason that Staff Eles get slaughtered once someone closes in.
Yes, and most of the staff skills are extremely slow in respects to say, d/d. I love using my staff for attacking towers, but when they come in/out to counter attack, I get slaughtered instantly bc of the slow casting rate. Would love to be able to switch to d/d in those instances, instead of trying to get out of combat to troll through my weapons to switch. I either have to run, or run. In either case, my only option IS to run. Not enough armor to try and make a stand with a slow casting rate.
Sorry bout breaking up the fightclub on IoJ’s map…i’m just a biiiig advocate of not having it on a map that I’m proactively defending/upgrading in the south/patrolling/blah blah blah…..

So after much time spent rolling an ele and reading the forums and watching ele gameplay, I have decided on a very simple (seemingly) fix for the problems that everyone rolling in an ele would face. Everyone who uses one know 1 very basic fact: getting hit means dying very quickly. The ele doesn’t really need more damage output or more armor. Proper gear selection and runes will compensate that area. However, getting caught with the wrong skill sets due to the current situation, because of the weapon selection, can be the killer for an ele, even an experienced one. Ele’s are very limited to a specific fighting range, due to being stuck with only one weapon choice during combat: long, medium, or close range. Ele users know fully well what this means, so I will not explain the mechanics of it here.
To help correct these problems and make ele’s more fun to play and have better survivability, give us the option to swap weapons during combat. And to maintain game balance and keep ele’s from becoming OP, allow only 2 opposing attunements per weapon slot. For example, slot 1 staff, with fire and water spec usage, and slot 2 with d/d air and earth spec. This will allow the ele to have choice of battle range during dynamic combat situations, (in any pvp, wvw, or pve), and keep the attunements in balance for the ele and the zerg or server as a whole. This can also help to add some variety of gameplay, especially in wvw, where ele’s are in demand for healing and aoe damage.
As ele players, we love our class, but also hate the lack of range options and survivability. I feel that this, more than anything else, is the root cause of ele anguish. I have may other alts in different classes, and I must say, the lack of in-combat range changing for my ele is depressing. Please consider this suggestion.
