I believe the Agg vs TA match had 2.5k viewers with all 3 servers queueing obsidian sanctum…so you were right in a sense because 300 ppl were in attendance

Yeah you are right it’s the best to watch the current GvG and you can see everthing that happens when the 40 guys run into each other.
The only thing the matches get so many viewers is because a bunch of ppl are zerging around and like to see the teams that they get kitten from on the battlefield.
You can’t say it’s fun to watch it.
When it’s fun it’s only fun because you have a favour for one of the teams that are facing each other.
I watched a lot of GvG and even played some back in when RG was still there. It only was fun to watch because i kinda liked RG and hoped they win the matches and oc later on because of Sacrx’s commentaries.
But it wasn’t fun to watch because of the gameplay.

Anyone see how many viewers there were? Also what were the scores of each game. Was they even close or just ground pound.

Seems like every tournament game was 3-0. Doesn’t seem that exciting if you ask me.

Roughly 1,1K viewers according to reddit Even the DnT invitational, which was a PVE tournament, had more viewers lol.

Yup, I remember the first ToL had over 2k viewers, wasn’t backed by gamescon or anything either.

Both not true. First ToL had about 8 k viewers at its peak.
Gamescom had about 7k viewers at its peak on the first day.
Last day there were like 3k watching.
That all are only the numbers on twitch. Chinese ppl have their own streaming divices.

Yeah cause the first thing i will look for is the armor of my enemy and then when im downed i try to defend myself and the point.

It is an armor set for the best of the bests. If you are not one of these you don’t deserve it.
Very simple.
There are so many other armor sets in this game that you can use.
Just accept it or practise a lot more and win one of those tourneys.

Reason to log in: Get better and win one of those tourneys to get this nice armor set

I beat you, fair and square in a 1v1 and downed you, thats it, I won the duel.
Now in this game, some kid gap closing on me while I was stomping and stuns me because I used my stability during the actual duel with the guy I just downed… Now I’m freaking dead… That’s utter nonsense and totally a reason as to why a lot of MMORPG PvPers stay away from GW2 PvP…. get rid of downed state and I have a feeling there would be a huge surge of Pvp players…

Imo downed state is one of the things that makes GW2 pvp interesting.
It opens the fights for a lot of nice plays and turn arounds in the actual teamfight.

Make 2v2, 3v3 brackets. Introduce simple death matches, ‘capture the flag’ matches, whatever… There is just so much potential to improve the pvp experience of this game. I wonder why Anet doesnt give a kitten about this… I really do. Are they so busy making the living world story?

Ever thought of when Anet introduce 2-3 more gamemodes or just one, there aren’t enough players anymore in one gamemode.
PvP has not that many players, if there is more than just one gamemode the number of players is half in every gamemode.
Imagine the queuetimes, and not to mention the matchmaking.

Hearthstone, a freaking card game that has barely been out for 1 year has had more cash prize tournaments than gw2..

I will say this, at least anet is at least trying…(to bad they won’t actually update the actual sPvP system, which is why e-sports for gw2 is never going to happen…its such a bad system implemented here and its not competitive or even remotely close to balanced enough for it to be considered e-sports)…

Just look at the twitch viewers when ToL and other pvp tournaments were going on… the numbers were terribly low. It’s got a very limited and small number of fans… even runescapes PvP gets more viewers on twitch than ToL did…

GW2 never really got pushed by anything no advertisment at all, no cash prizes etc.
Anet is now trying to push it for the very first time till it released.
Maybe someday GW2 will get more attention.

Pvp is about fighting and not Jumping Puzzles.
This map would be even worse than Skyhammer.
Leave the Adepts in Pve where it works and belongs.

-Why is Skyhammer still in Soloq?
-Will there ever be a league/season system?

- Why does it take so long to make balance changes?

I think that Red Guard, Good old Days and VII are the best out there in the EU.

I don’t know any Guild from NA. Would be interesting to hear some names of good Guilds in NA and if they are better than the EU ones. Could be an interesting discussion.

Same problem
was very happy to finish my grenth backpiece and combine it with my grenth hood but then i saw this clipping fail.
Hopefully they gonna change this really quick.
