+1 to Kizos. Not only did he beat Wakkey 1v1 IRL afterschool, Kizos is also the best RPer NA/EU/Multiverse. From wandering minstrel to hardened soldier, even a naughty elven barmaid, Kizos can act them out. You will never need another companion once you have this amazing RPer.

There’s the BM ranger build, a dueling spec people use to win 1v1s by setting pet to attack mode so they can pretend they’re good.

There’s also the spirit ranger build where you have to mash your 1 button all day and press 1 button to res your teammates.

Except that in PvP you can have as many armour sets in your inventory as you want, so all you need to do is swap the armour out and change your traits…. That can be done in a manner of seconds >.>

Say you have three sets of build for your character. That’s 18 pieces of armor and 6-9 weapons. And you have to change these every 1-3 games as well as traits. And don’t forget if you accidentally slot the wrong gear (you’ll most likely be using the same basic armor set for all the gear unless you have tons of mats), you can’t change it once the game sets.

You have like two minutes before the game starts. Say it takes you 30seconds to log in. Another 30 seconds for the slowest member to log in. Then you realise he’s also a bunker warrior so you have to go out and change everything. That might take another 20-30seconds depending on how fast you can remember your traits. This leaves you barely any time to plan a strat or get to know what everyone is built for.

Do that a couple hundred times (this includes hot join) and tell me how redundant it is compared to simply switching to a character with a preset build.

I don’t understand why you would need to constantly delete or recreate alts… I also don’t get how build templates would come into that since PvP gives you free reign over everything…

You have 5 character slots by default, if that isn’t enough buy some more. The tutorial is short and there’s no reason for them to make it skippable.

Every time the meta change, some classes become obsolete and people who multiclass like I do delete the class to make room for the meta one. Build templates come in because some maps require specific builds. Say my build for warrior is usually Hambow. If I roll spirit watch in solo queue and we don’t have an orb runner, I’d need to change to bunker warrior. This means reslotting my runes, sigils, traits, weapons AND amulet in 1 minute. I can’t possibly do that in time and nor do I want to do it every time. I have 12 character slots for this so don’t tell me to buy more.

They patched it once before by removing the ability to skip tutorials, applying another patch shouldn’t be that much harder.

We used to be able to skip the tutorial in the past by joining a friend in spvp then exiting into the HOTM but this was “fixed” awhile ago. Sure people may argue it’s only 5minutes of my life but when you’re constantly deleting/recreating alts (cause we still don’t have build templates), you kind of get sick of slaying that golem that nobody cares about dozens of times. This is a very common problem for spvpers, who constantly recreate characters to suit the meta and to try new builds.

Hey everybody, I’m mainly a tpvper but with the current meta and the bleak outlook for spvp in the future, I’m looking to get back into the pve/wvw side of the game.

What I’m looking for:
- A close knit guild, preferably small-medium in size on any of the NA servers (PvE is mostly cross server and I’m willing to guest to explore)
- As stated in the title, I’m open to doing anything with the guild, from jumping puzzles to speed running arah.
- Preferably not 100% rep. This isn’t to say I’ll be putting other guilds before your guilds, it’s just that I’m required to rep some guilds when I do tpvp.

What I can provide
- I have 5 lvl 80s, 4 of which are geared up in exotics and ascended so gear wise I’m okay.
- Basic knowledge of most dungeon paths. Although I haven’t done pve for a few months, I’ve gotten my dungeon master title and I’m willing to relearn all the dungeon paths and even hop onto voip.
- Tons of experience in tpvp. Not sure where this fits in but it’s all I’ve been doing for the past half year so I might as well chuck it in.
- A fun, helpful and ragefree attitude.

Edit: Forget to mention I’m from Sea of Sorrows but I don’t mind farming the gold to transfer if I decide to stick with the guild.
