in the fractals explorable however we had to finish 3.
So we had to do the fire room as well

Before they didn’t reset.
Now they do reset.
But it’s been like this for a few months already..

Fractal was kind of the only instance in gw2 that was actually challenging.
And now they reset us all back to 30.. man……
30+ better be challenging now.. and 40+ close to impossible.

It’s just the pvp qualifiying points all over again.
People get lots of QP in paid pvp tournament and they end up getting removed.
And all the effort for getting the points gone.. Got them a title though.

Wasn’t it apparent by now, they are not going to ban them. Crying about a useless thing like rank is a waste of energy.

Rank doesn’t get you anything atm and i suspect they are going to do an overhaul of the way rewards are given after the eventual pvp reward system is fixed.

I was reffering to a dev post in the other thread and was just wondering when they’ll take some action.

It doesn’t need to be banning or rollbacks..
But with their cool stories about making better pvp rewards they have to keep in mind that they have to reward their pvp players more than the ones that just exploited skyhammer for 2 months..

I like this change but…

The ones who farmed glory in skyhammer for weeks..
Did their rank reset or did they get banned?
Else this update has no effect on the ones that got their rewards and finishers already.
Still waiting for the update that will make the actual pvpers gain more rewards over the ones that exploited in skyhammer..

1v1’ing people in spvp can be pretty fun.
Usually with some compliments from both sides.

And yea.. some will call you noob for the lamest things..
But hey! You know better.. you just won so enjoy his tears.

Can someone please answer us and tell us exploiting in pvp is not bannable but in pve it is?
Because that wiki page is telling me otherwise (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Exploit)
Else the wiki page needs to be editted so people know it’s ok to exploit in pvp.

Karma exploiting people got banned for abusing it too much.
Snowflake jewelry exploiting people got banned for the same reason.

Why not do the same for skyhammer farm.
People that did it for a few hours.. alright.
But people that did it for days/weeks/months? come on.. they just deserve it.

One thing they could do is make different clocktower jumps.
And you always teleport into a random one so it’s not the same way up every time.

Because after a while you just remember every single jump.
And you can almost do it blindly.

Just like fractal paths that are randomly generated (like dredge paths).
But then different ways in clocktower!

My only question is what the devs will do about this rank system now that it became broken because of skyhammer farmers.

For people who actually played pvp only thing they could showoff is their champ titles and pvp rank and finisher (shark and phoenix are awesome)
Skyhammer farmers cheated their way to rank 60+ in a month and receive the same rewards… (and no idea how the glory rewards are going to be but i guess they will be getting it all as well just because they exploited for a month)

And all dev responses are all like they are ok with it and it doesn’t need to be fixed at all.
The only thing they did was slow it down a little after people already farmed it soo much.

You really have to make a change so that people can see who’s a legit pvp player and who isn’t.
Because someone being rank 60 with the skills of a rabbit is something very bad.

I hope Anet knows they will have to come up with a system that rewards people who actually played pvp instead of farming glory in skyhammer.
I already hate them being rank 60+ in a month time where others had to play pvp for a year.. Don’t reward them even more for it, Please! ANET ._.

They will put rewards for glory so that all the people who farmed skyhammer will now get better rewards than legit pvp players.

They knew exactly wich guy bought how many items from that bugged karma vendor to get some easy gold.
So they’ll have to have some data of the people that just kittened up the whole rank system in pvp. They can’t just do nothing about the people that abused this so much..

I don’t know what Arenanet has in mind for this but they better not reward the guys that got their rank by skyhammer farm more than the ones that actually played pvp for a year.
Them actually being this rank and getting the same better looking armor and finishers is already really bad for the 1% effort they actually did for it.
But when the reward system comes arenanet better not kitten this up

I really hope they’re working on some hard content as well as easy..
This way they can make both skilled and less skilled players happy.
I had a lot of fun doing stuff like Mallyx, Underworld, or some Eotn dungeons on Hard mode

Clocktower shouldn’t have any changes despite having different difficulties maybe.
I’d like to see it harder but i don’t think everyone will agree on that :p
What i did like is see people falling while i farmed the reward over and over.
So private instance would ruin the fun.

I can’t believe there are still skyhammer servers for glory farming.
Why hasn’t this been blocked, stopped, rolled back, ban players for x days etc.
This is some serious problem like RR day.
People are getting rank without any effort at all!
Everyone who spend all their time in normally getting rank 50+…..
People who farm skyhammer for a week or two get the same rank!!
How is this not bannable, but when there’s a pve related exploit it’s permaban time?

Man i should’ve done this exploit as well and get rank 70 when i had the chance.
I didn’t know Arenanet stopped giving bans for cheating people.

I don’t get how people complain about the lack of content.
I play gw2 like 3-4 hours every day and there’s so many things i still want to do in gw2.
Imo they don’t have to release new stuff every 2 weeks because it’s hard to keep up..

But what the hell we get free content every 2 weeks and you guys are like it’s not enough? oh man..

In gw1 there was such a thing too and it was bannable because people used this community bug just like skyhammer to get your pvp title high in notime. (RR day)
In gw2 they just disable 1 command and everyone gets to keep their farmed rank and the glory they got from it.

I’m only rank 50 but i feel the people that went to 60+ playing pvp for a whole year.
They might’ve been passed by people who farmed skyhammer for a few weeks lol..

That’s not very skilled indeed.
I’d say it’s skill if you wouldn’t be knocked off and rolling into holes.

In gw1 there was also a community thing called Red Resign.
It was used to get your pvp title high too with no effort at all.
It was considered cheating by ArenaNet and you could even get banned for doing it.

From what i read here people experience a lot of uneven numbers in solo q..
Are you from EU as well or only NA?

I think i’ve done 50 solo queue games now (in EU) and i haven’t had a single game with uneven numbers at the start. I’ve had leavers though but that’s halfway the game and usually because one team is losing badly

On the state of the game last week the devs said they will put some kind of floor there that won’t kill you from falling onto it. So it won’t be insta kills

I see people in map chat asking for lf2m team queue rank 40+
People can stop doing that now and invite a rank 10
Because that rank 10 might have more experience than that farmed rank 40 now.

With people farming rank this fast.. You cannot look at rank anymore to determine someones playtime/experience in pvp.

This reminds me of Red Resign day in gw1.. it was a community thing to farm a pvp rank(title) really fast and people could actually get banned doing it. (source gw1 wiki: Red Resign was officially considered cheating by ArenaNet. Participation in this form of match manipulation could have resulted in disciplinary action on a participant’s account.)

I guess it’s ok to cheat and farm ranks in gw2 then.

I’ve just been on one of these servers to see how skyhammer zerg vs zerg is.
But instead of fighting normally they just hit eachother and fall down to get over 200 rank/glory points a minute.

There’s multiple servers that are doing this at the moment and they are always full.
Soon we will see rank 50 and higher that have only been farming like this and their skills will be like rabbits.

Rank didn’t mean anything, only that you have played the game for x hours.
So it did actually show you have experience with pvp. may it be from spvp zerging or tpvp.
But now it really means nothing since people can get from r1 to r50 in a few weeks.

Anyone else share their opinion about this?
Or is this considered completely normal…

Many times the mesmer won’t port far away.
So if you time your finish right before he does the skill.
You will finish him as soon as he’s visible again.

I tried it again a few minutes after this and it worked..
So kind of only closed and opened the TP again.

Hey i noticed this as well but haven’t figured out why yet.
I thought maybe it was because someone else removing conditions but i think its really because i remove 2 instead of 1.. no soldier gear

Isn’t there a timer on the orb that make it go back to it’s spawn if it isn’t brought to a cap point in time?

Some of the items you get from those chest give free tournament tokens when you salvage them.

Try using mouse 4 for autoloot. (if you have it that is :p)

Took me about 10 tries to finish clocktower ( i ended up at the part where you have to fall down again having no idea where to go to ._. )
After that i pretty much farmed it all the time for the loot.

I spend a little more than an hour trying to kill Liadri so that sure was harder for me :p

Well if you’re used to almost any other mmo..
Where you’d have to kill the same thing for a week to gain 1 level up.
Then killing champions in Orr all day is like nothing :p

A question regarding the birthday gifts.
I have 8 characters that will all have their birthday and according to the website.
“Characters that are one year old will receive a Mini Queen Jennah”
This means i get 8 mini queen Jennahs?

Are you sure they were recently removed from the pvp locker?
I never found a spot for them in my pvp locker for as long as i have them.
I still have super explosion and cow finishers in my pvp locker the last time i checked.

Arenanet need to remember not everyone is a hardcore gamer what happens to the casual games that arenanet are excluding with theses events. Not everyone wants to play a berserk practically all the guides online used a berserker build.

Just ask yourself? What content was there for hardcore players in the last 8 months? I can’t think of any content I couldn’t complete. For me as a hardcore player it’s finally nice to see that my needs for harder content are finally satisfied.
We, the hardcore players, had to suffer long enough from the “casual-festation” in this game.

With this i’m able to keep up regeneration on my party with 100% uptime ticking around 400 per second (depending on sigil stack and food)

Maybe if i can balance a bit between regeneration upkeep and Absolute Resolution for my party i can get the heal per second up. But then i’ll need some more boon duration runes too
