For: Necro, Elementalist, Guardian,
Appearence: Book
Role: Support type spells for the Ele and Guard, but for Necro a summoning book that lets you summon jagged horrors and bone shield protecting the necro for 5 seconds.

if Wizard was to be added to the game then it would need alot of trait options so you can choose what magic you want to master because wizard doesnt just mean Arcane magic (i was wrong) e.g Ancient magics, Demonology, Arcane, Electric from finger tips magic these all kinda are wizards, anything that uses knowledge from ancient scrolls is wizardry. Elementalist = Avatar.

you are thinking of the WoW shaman. The shaman in vanguard only communicates with animal spirits and shaman in other games commune with the dead and gain powers through them.
And yes, funnily enough, there are plenty of wizards in plenty of games who primarily use the elements.
Now i think of it, ye ure right about the shaman being spiritually guided dudes, but have you seen the flame legion shamans? they have nothing to do with spirits and more to do with smoke, fire, earth and lava. so the shaman in GW2 is very different.
I do admit wizards are a hard class to discuss but when i picture a wizard in GW2 they have a wand or staff in main hand with a tome in the off hand casting glowing arcane symbols on the ground and turning people into sheep and chickens, so nothing to do with elements.
100% support because i bought the wrong chest plate and i was gutted, it would help alot if i could only see ones i can wear.
More animations to minor things would make GW2 feel way more alive especialy in towns. When i say minor i mean things for:
crafting = depending on what skill your using then its different. eg. weaponsimth would be sharpening a sword.
mystic forge conduit = make it feel good when ure using it by making your char hold it and throw things into it and sparkle when something good comes out.
looking at map = obviously gets a map out and looks at it
salvaging items = taking a clump of metal apart or cloth shirt etc (depends what it is)
AFK = eg norn could start dribbling and looking dopey lol, Charr could start playing with one of them cotton balls xD
Black lion trading = character holds out scroll with a feather pen writing on it.
Looking in bag = Rummaging through ure bag like an old lady.
Waypointing = If someone waypoints then it should do an animation instead of them just dissapearing. Sometimes i dont know where the person just went off too
Animations would make GW2 that much better, just look at the animations in game now they are beautiful and i know new ones would be 100% welcome. Please add new ones!

I know what you mean, the block ability with the sword is pretty terrible and unrealistic and it would be better if you blocked the next attacks for a few seconds (not missiles)
I have a thread similar to this one about traits and warrior ones in general.
I just feel they not really change much, well ye you can spec them into 3 things: support, glass cannon and defense but don’t you think it would be better if you could get new spells/skills from maxing traits and having a specific number of traits on a trait line. I come from games where the class customization changed the name of the class and gave it new spells/skills. E.g here is an example of what top end traits should be like for warriors trait line.
“Offhand weapon also has an auto attack and damage increased by 25%” This would make the off hand sword/axe double the attack rate with new animations.
“2h weapons have a second Adrenaline ability” keybinded to F2
“Shield and Warhorn now have adrenaline abilities” This would give you the option to press F2 to unleash. Shield would knock down all enemies in front and warhorn could Fear all around for like 3 seconds.
“When hit you have a chance to do Intimidating shout inflicting weakness to nearby foes for 5 seconds (10 second cooldown)” Warriors need some more tank-ability
This is just a small example of how they should look to make the builds more different from each other. Wouldn’t it be awesome if Guardian had a Spirit Weapon build that turned spirit weapons into permanent companions (like phantasmal berserkers but blue) with awesome new skills. The better part would be if it was viable in PVP/WVW/PVE.
I like the idea in my head, but I’m not 100% sure how it would all work in-game.
Still, would be nice, would give way to some great roleplaying too.
Ye im not sure either but im sure if some professionals developers sat around a table and discussed then it mite work
Yes. Please. I was wondering about this. It would be awesome 8D though I was worried that if I clicked the wrong thing once and then it would take my character to the nightmare court (for sylvari obv) when I didn’t want them to join. That’s probably the only problem.
Im guessing you would get a super warning text telling you your about to join the inquest/nightmare etc and the personal story would teach you ALOT more about them prior to joining them so you know what they are about.

Who gave the Titans the Seering Cauldrons?
The “bad guys” in Tyria are completely misunderstood, i play charr and have looked into a little flame legion lore and i can say that i 60% support them, I am pretty sure the Nightmare court and Inquest also have good reason to stand by what they believe like the fact that all sylvari should have been evil dragon minions but something happened there…
My suggestion was to let the story branch off at some point (maybe lvl 80) and let us choose what we support. Give them separate lvl 80 areas to go to and if the other faction comes into that zone then they can get attacked. This could possibly introduce world pvp i would prefer this because WVW does not fit lore what so ever. that would be awesome but probably to many casuals in this game would moan about that.
I know there is lots of consequences to adding this but what do you think?

i hope it adds something big for PVE, I know the last content was for Halloween and they threw a few jumping puzzles in and stuff which was nice. I have finished all that content now and i bored again lol. I am hoping they add a new unique map or 2 for level 80 with complex dynamic events that no bots can navigate because its changing all the time. I would like to learn more about the flame legion because im a charr, it would be nice to go to blood legion homelands because i hear thats where the flame legion are thriving and i can finally see how the female flame legion are treated and get some awesome new skins.
I would also like to see something to see more customization in the classes like a separate talent tree for weapons or new weapons themselves. Dueling! i want to be able to duel with my mouthy friends he say they better than me :P a game i came from had a duel arena and you could bet money with the person you were dueling with and it was an ok way to make money if you knew how to fight, please consider this!
This game is like a sapling of a tree and the leaves and branches are the content, currently the tree is young and needs time to grow in other words it’s has a good foundation to fit LOTS more content onto it. Thanks for the great experience this far and good luck with the future of it developers!

yes 3% is a waste of space and it needs to be replaced i mean seriously 3% more damage! i don’t even need that damage because i use sword/shield and longbow which are condition based weapon so that 3% would be completely useless. I support any form of changing that 3% part of discipline to whatever else.
change it to 30% and now your talking.
The chest in the mad king instance isn’t affected by DR; you just have kitten luck.
obviously it is because its definately effecting me, 30+ runs and no good loot, how dare you!
Its starting to annoy me now because i have done the dungeon 30+ times and not a single exotic! yet my friend has ran it half the amount of time and he has got 4 exotics. i swear why am i getting punished for playing the game! atleast turn of DR for the mad king dungeon. I think the reason my DR triggered is because i was farming at Temple of lyssa an hour before release but that shouldnt be the case, i should be getting loot for playing the game. If this DR carries on, bye bye Gw2.
I used to play runescape back in the day and the quests on that were really emerging and very difficult! you got great rewards for it aswell, GW2 should do something like this but obviously better.
Ah, i didn’t know that costume brawl was only for halloween. Anyway it still sucks and they should of added some more content for the more hardcore croud they have. like i said a dueling feature will feed me for a month or so because who doesn’t like fighting one versus one combat to test your build out ay?
The Halloween update is ok but this costume brawl? what is the point in it, you think just spamming the same move on some random dudes for a title is fun huh? well its a waste of an update imho, why couldnt you just add a simple dueling mechanic, im sure 99% of the people would prefer it. Fire the guy that made this idea please this is a MMORPG not animal crossing!
I have had quite alot of patience with GW2 it is a great core for an mmo and i have stood by it whilst people were saying “theres no endgame” after 2 weeks of it being out but now this recent “costume brawl” update has came out my hope for the future of this game dwindles.

I dont mind the rare skins because they will be a very rare thing to see in the future and i like that about mmo’s + i got 2 of the sword and a scythe and a shield in 52 chests
Anyway this is only the beginning of act 1, give it time to unfold, it will get better!

ye i bought 10 then but it payed off because i got an exotic recipe, i realised after that you can swap 50s worth of candy corn for the same amount of bags LOL
ive done the one with the pages and i know that will lead to something soon, but can someone point in the direction of what zone to go to for the halloween dynamic events because my server has no clue where they are.
If every race had a unique profession? that would be really cool, i would have to go charr shaman because they look like they’ve really harnessed the power of lava and fire and they look awesome. Now you’ve got me thinking of other race specific professions:
Norn = Wolfborn, kinda like a warrior but more to do with rituals and nature
Human = Ebon Knight, like a guardian and warrior mixed
Asura = Golemancer, Creates Golems, nuff said.
Sylvari = Dreamwalker, a mystical gift only few sylvari are given, can teleport around alot and does alot of fear and weakness
morale of the thread = add polearms as a weapon
I love the concept of banners buffing you in combat and i would love to use them more and see more players using them, but at the moment i think they are pretty bad in PVE because of how locked to one place you are when you use it, or you will end up carrying it but the auto attack is really not that good and the boons it gives are ok but not amazing.
So here is my suggestion, what if the banners were carried on the backs of warriors
(like a samurai banner) and could be changed when out of combat. The banner would still give its bonus to nearby people. Also there would be F2 ability to proc the banner to give you the Boons similar to what the banner normally gives:
Banner of Strength = 1 stack of might for 10 seconds (cooldown 15s)
Banner of Defense = Give Protection for 5 seconds (cooldown 30s)
Banner of Discipline = Fury for 10 seconds (cooldown 30s)
Banner of Tactics = Regeneration for 5 seconds (cooldown 30s)
Warbanner = When activated replaces current banner and applies constant might, swiftness and fury until the banner times out . The F2 ability will revive any downed players around you. (banner cooldown 240s)
The appearence of the banner on the back of warriors would be a small banner attached to a backpack like thing only for warriors
Traits: The Inspiring battle standard trait (regeneration to allies) would be a little overpowered trait for this so i thought to change it to this.
Intimidating battle standard
“When you use the Banner burst ability (f2) it applies weakness to foes around you.
Banner burst is 20% more effective to yourself (longer boon time)”

Sorry but Crossbow would definitely not suite thief, give them a rapier or boomerang hehe
Also the catapults at the Temple of Lyssa event is pretty messed up as well, just thought i’d say.

Because of magic find people walk around with no toughness and some even go to dungeons with it on. It was a terrible idea from the start and it would do the game a favor to get rid of it. (im not even sure magic find works anyway) Magic find only benefits the guy who has it on and NO ONE else, isn’t this game meant to be about teamwork and supporting each other?
Anyway i would like to see a cond/duration and con/damage reducing stat called “hardiness” or something, maxing this stat out would only reduce condition times by about 25% and condition damage by about 20%. Change the name of the explorer armor to something hardy.

i would love if charr went to war with humans! i would make a charr only guild and march my bloodthirsty warband into kryta and raid the place to its knees lol but i doubt this will happen. GW2 is too far into the lore for this too happen, Charrs went soft
Sounds fun but would probably hard to implement the transformation of all the textures and stuff whilst players are in the zone, if im wrong then this would be a great endgame zone to extend on the branded dragon(kralkattorik?) that you never see in the game. It would also be a pest for bot makers so it should be bot free zone.
Oh and what happens if all areas manage to get branded?
The games been out for just meerly over a month! why are most of the player base moaning “whaaa theres no content whaa” next time you say that or even think that then just remember 1 MONTH! GW2 is the best core i have seen to an MMO since WOW, who remembers WOW when it first started? it was not that amazing , but they expanded on it for many years and now look at it. Anyway just be patient and they will deliver the goods.
i dont like pvp either and wvw is just hordes of players steam rolling camps/keeps lol its just terrible. Your suggestion sounds realy good though and i would take it over wvw anyday.
Very good idea but i think they should be legendary because of the awesome effects. But i don’t think they should cost lots of money like the ones in the game now, I think they should be awarded for something else.
some channel alot faster than the others though (almost instant) and what i mean is make it channel faster because it takes way too long for such a wack heal.
i leveled from 1-80 with sword/shield mostly, when i reached 80 i stacked precision toughness and condition gear from the temple vendors. My conditions were ticking 100dmg in COF. i can’t remember the traits i had, think it was 0/30/30/0/10, i didn’t need power for conditions so i had really low damage against buildings and stuff. Crazy thing is when you have sigil of earth on sword + the bleed on crit trait + the high precision, when you use burst ability you can do 20+ stacks of bleed on 3 targets, its insane. This one time i took out 2 guys in wvwvw solo with this build lol. Anyway i recently found out what weakness does and so im rocking the mace for a bit killing off champion mobs solo.
Long story short, stack toughness and superior rune of earth to stay alive twice as long as the average joe gs warrior and maybe even output more damage than them in the time your alive.

The auto attack needs to be like 50% faster to be effective or more damage on it.
Would be cool if dual wield warriors had the choice to either use F1 or F2 to unleash the adrenaline ability of his choice. This would balance the dual wield warriors with the 2h warriors which are extremely unbalanced right now. The shield could give a protection buff and the warhorn should do weakness or fear to enemies along with reviving one fallen ally who is down(not out). Mace off hand should be a block then a bash on the head that confuses the attacker for 8 seconds (3 bars of adrenaline).
The other weapons like sword, axe etc could also have F2 abilities, but i have not thought about them yet but i’m sure there’s a lot of possibilities for them. The trait that reduces burst cooldown would be a lot more useful now as i don’t think anyone really uses it.

Why does this healing spell channel when you activate it? Because it only heals 3000-4000hp just make it an instant heal. This would balance it with the other heals they have which are much more superior.
“Crossbow” or “Xbow Repeater” could be cool weapon added to a future expansion.
Warrior: poison based moves with a rapid fire as the adrenaline move.
Guardian: Supportive bolts and good damage
Ranger: Slow but very damaging
Engineer: Explosive bolts for great AOE damage
Thief: Long range raw damage.
What do you think of it?

When you die in vengeance mode and then instantly go to waypoint, i will die again because vengeance is still ticking after i ressed at wp. Lol hard to explain in words but i think i did it.
The Savage Leap is only for gaining range to your opponents, or getting away from them. At close range it is near useless and as a sword user i have thought of multiple ways this could be improved:
1. Does (x%) more damage when the foe is bleeding (or every stack of bleed increases damage dealt by (x%))
2. Apply bleeding if you are close to the target instead of jumping at them.
3. Evade properties when you are in the savage leap animation.
4. More damage the closer you are
x% is just because i didn’t want to balance anything or start a debate.
Anyway which one would you prefer to have?
Maybe add a competitive side to dueling aswell with bets and stuff, but make this take place in the arena in the black citadel so know cheaters stick themselves on un-accasible rocks to win.
