So sick of premades in unranked. Make unranked a solo que only, and everyone will be happy. I solo que I unranked so I have non committed game play, but it is very annoying that I keep running into premades, not 2+1+1+1 but 3+1+1 vs 1+1+1+1+1. Force premades into ranked, leave unranked a solo que friendly environment. At this rate, I’m just doing to abandon and eat the dishonor if I run into a 3 man premade while I’m on a solo q only team.

There was outrage, but ultimately, you got it by playing the game, it wasn’t “buy all the gw1 games” and instantly get the points. You actually had to complete the the game.

Not shown in WP preview but it was mentioned there were collection for Black Lion weapons sets. I am personally ok with this as long as no AP is rewarded for these collections. Also I would also not support collections that reward AP from the gemstore armor skins (for example aetherblade armor skin set) because it would just lead to the highest people on the leaderboard being only those who has the largest credit cards. In a game where there is no challenges, and no challenges being developed, this would definately turn into a p2w situation. Want to be top in the leader board, forget about maxing all 8 champion titles, forget about maxing out all wvw title tracks, just slide your credit card in and buy all the ap you want.

The old achievements need to be grandfathered into the new achievements. It it not fair to change the rules on the achievements now that most of the mini can no longer be obtainable. I sold all my old mini believing that I did not need them anymore for the achievements at a gold lost because the prices just kept dropping. Now the prices have jump to over 300% of what they were.
When series 4 hits, it is ok that it uses the new system because it have it after the change. But now it is unfair for those who got the achievement, and now won’t get the new one because you changed the rules.

The fact that people are complaining about the silver fed salvage o matic confuses me. It a completely junk item. It cost 500 AND cost more than a master salvage kit. Hell a mystic salvage kit make the price event worse.
If anet really wanted this to be a good gold sink, they should have just given them away. They cost almost double a master kit on use and almost 10 times a mystic, and honestly how often do you waste mystic charges on the junk you get in the world.
I feel sorry for the people who fail at math and bought that junk item.
Compare to a copper fed. It actually cost less than the basic kit. And most of the time you use basic kits for the random junk.

Once again, Anet going into the wrong direction in this game. Shatterer needs the Teq treatment. Make it difficult content, this game lacks it greatly. Dungeons are a joke because of bad design, and when asked if they will add a Hard Mode version of these, we are told NO, but look at the “challenges” in the living story. Guess what, those are more of a joke. But I guess that is what they want. They want a AAA MMO that plays like a facebook game. Meaningless content that you can just spam 1 your way through with skinner box rewards on a 2 week release timer so they can maximize gemstore sells.
Look at all the challenging content NOT being worked on. Dungeons, SAB, and now World Bosses are not being worked on because they are too difficult for the general masses. Everything now is superficial, Anet walking people through a veil of false accomplishments straight into the gift shop (gemstore).
Those who think triple trouble or tequalt are too difficult, may i suggest playing one of the facebook games, they reward monotonous activity (like spamming 1) and are perfectly willing to take your money for cosmetic changes. The reason they take an hour to set up is because the general population can’t learn how to do the content, so those who want to do the content has to go to extreme measures to stack the odds in their favor. And having no control on those who “help” you in your mega server (they most of the time hurt you) makes the problem worse.

Just make a Prestige system like they have in FPSer. You kill Ziatan, can you reset your personal story and possible pick different paths. Also with the new reward systems added it will allow old player to get the new reward system. To prevent abuse, only allow a story reset after you finish Victory or Death (kill Ziatan). And now you have added replayable to the Personal Story, which used to be a big focus for this game 2 years ago.

idk looking at Anet’s recent acts VIP system actually might come to NA/EU clients. They might include VIP only contents which consist of dungeons, revamped traits, balanced professions and even new races and those poor kitten “players” be happy with living story updates

Did that hire Bill Roper to ruin another game or something. Honestly I’m feeling like this game might be getting flagshipped over the past 6 months. They are spending time on content no one wants, and not on the content their player base desires. Getting blind siding in the past couple of interviews should have made them rethinking their priorities.

Ossuary of Unquiet Dead bugged

The personally story step “Ossuary of Unquiet Dead” is currently in-completable. After killing the first priest of Lyssa, they quest does not update and goes into a stuck state. The scripted scene does happen after it is killed, but the quest does not advance. You can trigger the other 2 event on the far platforms, but the middle plateform will not trigger even if you kill the undead birds around the center platform.

The hammer bug where you can’t recover it and you have to restart.

Have everyone die, don’t release until everyone is dead, then release. Hammer will respawn in the last waypoint. This has been fixed a long time ago. Just because you don’t know the machanics don’t mean that it is bugged.
Yet another Learn2Play issue. If anyone complain about the fractal level requirement the community as a whole should just respond that instead of complaining you should learn how to get better at the game.
This community really makes me wonder. RNG items are A-OK. Skill based items = bad. Boggles the mind.

Has anyone who submitted the ticket got any update reply?

I also had a pet seedling and now stuck without the cultivated seedling. At first I thought they changed the name because the update and they decided to change the name of the seed…

:-\ I don’t really want to remake Mysterious Vine (48 foxfire clusters….) and I also don’t want to spam their mailbox with the “known issue.” Just curious if there is any progress on this issue?

Took the group i joined around 2:34 minutes to reach 3rd map’s last boss.

By this time we got 1 of the players afk multiple times and eventually leave.

We got 1 of the other guys start raging and make 1 more of the players leave.

So basically I’ve been put into situation I’ve spend around 3h and not being able to acquire the item i was there for.

No offense but I see no logic for you to be here except deliberately trolling people who just ask for mare variety.

Thank you for your involvement in this topic but you have no reason to be opposite to this idea which is just an improvement and adds variety.

If you like Fractals and trolling people in fractals that much – do it but you have no right to troll wvw players who ask for support here.

It’s a game we all bought with money for different reasons – you may enjoy fractals same as we bought this game because we enjoy wvw.

Never had such problems, and I’ve carried many a group with a guardian through there. Sounds like a L2P issue to me. Sorry you can’t just run around EOTM in a zerg of uplevel and get free badges, you have to actually do (I will try not to laugh here) “difficult” content to get a reward. Reward based on skill and not grind, wow what a interesting concept we have here.

I don’t think you know what the word “forced” mean. Also I want to get dragon rank by only doing costume brawl, that is pvp as well right? No they don’t have to give you another way to get miststones.
Btw, ascended pack pieces used to be exclusive to fractals. The god skins are the only skins that do not require an item from fractals. All these whiners need to just group up and do fractal together. At least you will be together to complain on how bad Anet is by making and rewarding fractals.

Stop whining and do fractals. If you haven’t noticed is that this scavenger hunt make you do many different parts of the game. You will have to do JPs and Mini Dungeons to get future parts, will you complain about doing Front of Rhand which is done less times than fractals. This is good sign of them implementing task based rewards, not the rng bullkitten that been in the game so far, and you are complaining about it. Don’t ruin it and do 5 days worth of lvl 11 daily, they are not hard and don’t take long.
Don’t complain the the game expect you to do difficult things to get ascended lvl rewards.

It doesn’t matter, once the patch hit it replaced everyone’s items. It is not going to get any worse. IMO mail out the right seed to everyone so we can go ahead and start working on the new backpiece. If people get to skip the first step, who cares, Anet messed up and they benefited from it. Just like the Season 2 tickets.

item seems to be bugged, they replaced the cultivated seed with this item, that uses ascended items, not the LS items.

It appears that the LS is now going on break after one 1 month of content (http://www.zam.com/story.html?story=34881). The funny thing is that this gem of information is on 3rd party sites reposting information that Anet has given them. Why does Anet refuse to talk to their players. It is over a year since Colin has given a post about the future of GW2 (July 15 2013). And even some of those haven’t come to light (I’m looking at you 500 jeweler and cooking and precursor crafting). The game feels like it has no direction, and it feel like they are just trying to waste time. Balance update is now being dragged out over 8 weeks to preview what changes are being made, and it unknown when it will be released after the previews are over. The only goal they said they will add for this year is they will fix how guild handle multiple servers after messing that up with the megaservers.

This game rely on alot of RNG for it’s drop system. It also should be commonsense that the RNG isn’t truthly RNG, but uses a pseudorandom number generator that uses some unknown seed to generate these number to determine drops. But I have also observed that drops tend to identical, for example wvw chest that spawn the exact same item. I am wondering if anyone else has noticed that drop tend not to be so random. That either you or a friends tends to get the same item over and over again. I noticed this alot in fractals where i would get a disproportional amount of one fractal weapon, while others got disproportional amount of other fractal weapons.
What it come down to is for a game that rely on Skinner Box RNG reward schemes, I don’t even feel like the PRNG is random enough to consider as a fair RNG system. Those of us with bad seeds will never get the items they wants. And for some items, there is no nonRNG alternatives.
Anet should at least release what the drop % is for items, not hide behind vague wording(rare or very rare tells me nothing). At least then I know the pseudo odds.
I’m also wondering what they use as their Seed. It might explain why there are lucky accounts and unluck accounts.

FGS 4 just needs a major skill rework. The fact that you do more damage NOT hitting anything and running into a wall is dumb. Remove damage from trail, make it only give the burning debuff and instead move the damage to the actual attack. There i fixed an exploited in 5 seconds.

Anyone who thinks fractal weapon shows any type of prestige is totally full of themselves. Just like wurmslayer armor and tequalt weapons. It doesn’t show how good you are at the encounter or how long you done the ecounter. It only show how good your RNG is. You can get the desired skin at the first lvl 10 fractal or run lvl 50 every day AND NEVER GET IT. System needs a fix

All comes down to bad dungeon design and poor balancing. How bad are the dungeons is this game? Anet sacked their lead developer and dissolved their dungeon team after their AC revamp, sounds like we got our answer. Is there any hope for new dungeons in the future? Nope maybe they will raise fractal cap, but that would require zero effect.
How bad is the games skill balanced. The highest damage in game is FGS 4, which requires you to change your ingame options and not target your target. Sounds like a exploit to me. In a better game GW1, it would have been fixed once it became public (just like Sand Shards in gw1), but because it doesn’t effect pvp (that much) , it is ignored, and readily talked about.

All I can say is that A-Net has lost me …

If you don’t like the game and left, then please, for those who do enjoy the game, leave the game’s forums as well. The things you are complaining about is so fundamental to the game’s design that it’ll never be changed to a system where doing content A rewards B. Might as well as ask them to reformulate the professions into the classic MMO triad and turn it into yet another WoW clone.

The loot system is not so fundamental that it can not be changed, it already has been changed. The game launched with no Account bound RNG skins, they added them latter. I’m tired of people that keep bringing up precursors, THIS IS NOT A ISSUE WITH PRECURSORS. You can farm gold and get a precursor, like how I got all 6 of my precursors. The account bound RNG skins are the issue, they can not be bought, you can only run into the time gated daily chests, and most of the time be disappointed. And then you do the same content day after day, but your chance of getting the drop does not increase. There is good probability that you will never get the drop, like how I never gotten a fractal dagger, even after running hundreds of fractal and having 15/19 weapons, I never got the one skin i wanted.
Simply these items need a non RNG token system, just like how the game was launched with. Just like how Armbraces of Truth were in GW1. I don’t do fractal anymore because of the RNG BS of fractal skins, but I start doing them again if I had a non RNG alternative.

Most backpacks have a crafters theme. You can easily tell there is tailor theme, Armorsmith theme, and the bear is clearly a leatherworker theme backpeice. Adding a crafting method of getting a backpiece is a GOOD idea. It just really late in the game for the NA version. Would be worth doing if they add ALL stats to these crafters backpieces.
Just rechecked the skins, 6 tiers of skins for each profession. Should be added to this version as well.

I just wish the community would focus in on this issue. Not whine about how they haven’t gotten a precursor drop, which is not an issue here. I just want a means of if I do X amount of a task, I will get the drop I want. You can make X whatever. For example, if kill tequatle for 100 days, I will get a horde. This can be easily done with an account bound token which once you have 100 of them you can double click it and have a horde.
Currently it is set up for the encounter, kill it, and then 99% of the time be disappointed. Hell I’d even trade the 3 crap rares i get for this token system. Same for wurm. Remove the crappy greens, make so you either get the drop or get a token.
This is basically what Anet did with the BLC weapons, remember they were account bound and RNG token drops. Now they give out scraps because bottom line was that people stop buying keys. Because the other account bound weapons are not tied to $$$, they are not going to be fixed.

No one is asking for RNG to be removed, people are asking for alternatives that are not RNG based. I want to know that after killing a boss X number of times I will get the item i want if not sooner with a lucky RNG drop. Or I want to be able to buy the item if I am never lucky. I’ve given up on multiple skins because luck was not in my favor. And it isn’t a skill or time gate, but solely a LUCK gate. And that is bad game design because you as a player can not overcome it. You can’t fix bad luck, not even MF can help you because MF doesn’t effect most of the chest that gives these items.
But unfortunately, this thread will be derailed about discussions about precursors which currently are not a RNG only item like mentioned offending items.
I would like a Dev post about the philosophy of having RNG only BOA items in this game. At then I would know why they exist in their mind. Right now I can only assume it is a artificial game lengthening mechanic.

To be honest precursors are OK in my mind. You can get lucky or spend gold to buy it directly. My only issue is that Anet has been holding the precursor scavenger hunt over the players heads since 2 months into the games launch. They even said they would have it done with precursor crafting by the end of 2013. We are now 6 months late with no future feature blog posts stating when it will be done.
My issue is with RNG BOA skins, fractal weapons, fossilized bugs, teq hordes, piles of puke armor. These need none RNG methods of getting. fractal skins need to be added to the vendor for large amounts of pristine relics. Unidentified bugs needs to be able to be sold on tp. Teq and Wurm loot needs token you get if you don’t get the item. Get X amount of token, double click them like silky sand and get your horde or pile. You can make X whatever amount you feel is fair. IMO, I say killing a world boss 30 days in a row, you should get the item you are trying to farm.
And there you go, I’ve fixed all the RNG loot using mechanics already in the game. To bad no dev will give this the time of day because they are living with their head in the sand.

At launch we did not have this issue. Everything was BoE or was SB through tokens you got for doing a particular dungeon or karma. Then the Betrayal patch happened. Not only did we get ascended gear grind, they added fractal weapons (RNG SB skins), RNG rings, which they latter added a vendor so you could at least get the right one for your build (over a month latter), and RNG recipes to dungeons.
Now over a year latter we are still living is this mess. The few get their skins first attempt, the many never get them and then just call sour grapes and move on to the next shiny. And for many of the RNG item, they are harder to get than legendaries. I made a incinerator before I got a fractal dagger to drop (doing fractal 3 times a day). I made Frostfang before getting a teq horde.
Why can Legionaries be sold but these items CAN NOT?

Remember last year when anet said they liked making festivals because they just have to turn them back on and add alittle content to keep them fresh. Guess what, another lie like precursor crafting and half the other stuff they said during season 1. Most stuff wasn’t reused from previous festival, look how bare bones Halloween was this year, they gutted alot of the content and replaced it with less. How boring Wintersday was, nothing was new.
Also as another note, remember dragon bash was somewhat based on Cantha. Well we all know Anets view of Cantha, replaced it with a Hole, and then replaced that hole with a fancy hole.

As of right now, I have done mass farming on 3 different skins that are account bound, and have failed to get the drop each time. Ultimately these items were design not to make the content better, they are made to artificially extend the life of content. I would not have farmed fractals as long if I had got my fractal dagger drop (multiple levels every day). I would have stop farming southsun if the crates I farmed for had the weapon token. And now I would not be farming wurm anymore if I got Pile of armor (4 months of killing the boss everyday). This gets extremely frustrating. I was thinking there were moving in the right direction with adding BL scraps to the chests, but they failed to implement this further.
The solution: Everytime you fail to get the Big drop, you get a token. Save up X amount of token, exchange it for the drop. You still get a chance at hitting the jackpot, but even when you don’t, you don’t feel like you just wasted 2 hour like I do everyday at wurm.

The only problem with this encounter is that it is not instanced. You are not entitled to be able to complete this content. This is what hurts this game, people who randomly join the map of organized groups, taking a spot of one of the members so they can’t do the content, and then leaches the reward. I’ve watched these leaches several times at wurm.
This is the problem with difficult open world encounter, most player will not improve so the event will succeed. If it does succeed with them in it, they were carried by those who took the time to learn the event and get good at it. It will not get better because of Anets design philosophy:

Even though this comment was made toward the marionette, it surely applies to design decisions of most of the big open world content. Anet wants the general player base to learn2play, but it is at the cost of those who already do. Similarly how the education system in America spend most of their resources on bubble (borderline) kids, while their honor kids are left out to dry because they will succeed no matter what you do.
The good players are pretty bored of this game, and we keep getting popcorn content. And pvp is not the answer.

Anet have been doing that kind of cheap writing tricks since the original personal story., and it have nothing to do with the character being female or not.

*Introduce new character
*Make him / her stand out for 1-2 missions
*Kill them off for cheap emotional shock

Except this time they forgot step step 2. And to be honest, is there any characteristics to Majory to make her female, beside her voice and character model. If she was replaced by a male character, the script would not need to been changed. Otherwise if we replaced Kasmeer with a male, it would be extremely funny to have the exact same dialogue. This is why I conclude that the decision to have Majory female is so that Anet could capitalize on immature male fan service.

The PC is now dieing and is now living in a illusion created by the machine. In the end of the story the lights will go white. Refer to the alternate plot of the good Total Recall, the first one.
To be honest having the PC actually go into the machine was a bonehead move. It removed all menace of the machine. I know it is better to show not tell is most cases, but this is brings in two many plot holes. I’d rather analysis what scarlet saw through here drawing and notes than walk into a machine that either killed most who entered it, or turned the only survivor into a raving madwomen. Now that the PC has entered and returned unscaved, it really raises two many questions. To be honest, the story telling is just as poor at season 1.

So pretty much a female character who pretty much had has no story development is killed for as a plot device in this LS. She is involved in only one mission, and then is sent to her death off screen in the next mission. Pretty much this character was created to die for the A-team to feel emotion, but for me I feel nothing because she has as much development as the thousands of npcs I kill everyday. This is unlike the mentor you get in your PS who you actually develop a relationship with, and then dies in a heroic way. Personally I do find this type of story extremely lazy and somewhat offensive.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn’t the point of the defence teams at teq is to distract the mobs so they don’t kill turrets. My guild even runs only 4 people per defence teams because they don’t even have to kill the all the mobs, just kite them around. The only mob that needs to be killed is the hypnoss because he spawns more mobs. They don’t respawn as long as the event doesn’t scale up, and anything you do kill respawns at the 1:30 marks. Nomad sound ok for this job, and probably best for a turret position.
