While you’re looking into NPCs in dungeons can you also consider investigating some of their other intrusive behaviours? Like pulling groups players didn’t intend to, crowding melee when mobs have bouncing attacks, not letting bosses reset when the rest of the team have backed out of an encounter, stopping your combat and movement/dodge because you accidentally clicked on them and started a conversation, being a target for AoE abilities at all while they stand in the group, etc. etc.
Completed Path 1 a couple days ago. We just brought the heat, burned the golem down ASAP and after wiping don’t hit a waypoint until all the mobs run past and disappear at the door.
All in all a quick, chaotic dungeon I found to be a lot of fun.
This is either an something for Robert to look at or a mechanic for the community to be aware of, either way I am here to share it.
Petrify is caused by a debuff (stone stare or something similar), which will apply the petrify debuff after the time winds down. The petrify debuff will re-apply itself when its timer winds down.
If you apply Stability right before the stare debuff disappears you will gain the petrify debuff but not be petrified. Any further petrification applied by the stare will also be negated.
In short, this means that if the primary hate-holder stabilities through the first stone stare and takes all the further ones, no one will need to throw a tear. They can just DPS. When Simin stealths the petrify debuff will wind down and re-apply itself which can actually petrify you, but you can just throw a tear at yourself while it is counting down allowing complete self-sufficiency for petrification management. When she re-appears, grab hate first and stability through the first one again, allowing non stop DPS from the entire team.
The debuff still acts a little wonky, sometimes you act snared or rooted, but using a movement skill (I used Whirlwind Attack) removed the root. (Did not have movement skills remove immobilize traited at the time)
Not five minutes ago my team was unable to finish seers because Lupicus did not turn hostile. Then we left and Arah was contested, making it even better.
Melee characters can just circle-strafe when he takes a knee and never get shot.
Shinkittenraunia.
Shinki is just my constant handle and Keraunia is a word from folklore that means “An Axe that fell from the sky in a bolt of lightning”
Odd that the name gets censored like that.
Shinki
Keraunia
Just wondering, as I’m sure a lot of people are waiting to do any dungeons until token rewards are sorted out.
