Just keep at it, took me weeks to get S/F and S/D down, still don’t have D/F down yet but that’s my next one to master. I like LH so I started with scepter… well started with staff but that hardly counts as learning a rotation…
Truth be told the main reason I went to play my little ele is that she ate 2 total makeover kits and two hairstyling kits so far. Which may not be much compared to what some other people do, but is is a lot for a toon you only log onto if you need her crafting skills or if your group needs more conjures to kill burrows in AC.
I like her looks and I didn’t want her to be a wallflower (she’s a sylvari) so I decided to give her some sunshine.
Edit: I expected her to be more complicated than the classes I usually play, but not to that degree.

Reign of fire is a good film, but the end is a bit anticlimatic.
If animated series are ok, go with Record of Lodoss’ war. That has everything except the vikings.

I actually liked how the story and presentation looked in chapter 1&2 of LS season 2. But it has slightly deteriorated after that.
Anyway I still prefer what we got with season 2 to a lot of season 1. There moving into the right direction with that. At least for me.
Edit: Oh and if you want to see how good story representation/immersion looks in an MMORPG, check out SWTOR.

Ah come on they’re not that hard… or maybe it’s because I got used to it? After a while you practice the rotations… Not like I do them 100% perfectly every time, obviously. I mostly play my elly in fractals and sometimes my rotations are screwed up.
Anyway, I don’t like robots. What about some huge kitten dragons, lots of swords, lots of blood and vikings killing each other?
Bonus points if there’s a mage throwing fireballs around.
Tricky, I could recommend an oldie but goodie, “The 13th Warrior”.
How are you in regard to animated movies? Or does it have to be a … “not animated movie”? (Even my trusted leo and google failed me trying to quickly find a better english expression for that…)

Yeah, the ele rotations are crazy. D/F has the “worst” rotation though imo.https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/s2/Mists-Stone-for-1000-Badges-of-Honor/first this thread… ugh
As I said, I dislike staff and scepter almost equally. If I run around on my own I usually use d/d on my ele, but for groups d/f seems to be better from what I’ve read so far and I’m not adverse to focus so that’s what I wanted to try.
At the end of the day I’m still a PHYW. But I dislike being carried. (Although it happens, because some people simply play way better than me. But I’m working on that.)

If you want a prime example of what we call “popcorn movies” around here because you just watch them to be entertained without having to think about anything: Go with Pacific Rim. That is if you like giant monsters and robots. In that case it is fun to watch. Although you might already know that one.
In unrelated news (I like those): Yesterday I decided to give my little ele some care. Went and got her a new set of strength runes since her old were trapped inside karma armor pieces and decided to check DEKeyz guide so I would be something more than a conjure vending machine and a few might stacks with fury. (Which was what I used my ele for so far, if I used her at all.)
Holy fuzzy feline. I knew ele was a higher skill profession compared to some others out there but the rotation alone on d/f – I dislike scepter and staff for some reason – almost made me go back to my little thief. Guess it’s time for my little flower to go back to school.

Actually, the point of the lfg is to make it easier to find pick up groups without creative chat spamming or third party websites.

I remember other MMOs with similar features where the blocklist also prevented you from being shuffled into the same pvp match.

I’d say that depends on the current mood.

(Albeit under the new management they changed their policy. Prior to the change other guests who had not ordered as much so far were given a higher priority in the kitchen after the seventh order. These days it’s after the fourth order. So the wait can be a bit annoying as the evening goes on.)
As for pizza: I vote for ham, salami and button mushrooms, preferably all together.

Or until I actually get to 5 and buy an aetherized shield for the engineer.
But I’m loathe to buy the skin so far because I usually only log onto the engi if I need his crafting skills and if I ever use him, you can’t see the shield 90% of the time because of the weapon kits.
I’ll most likely end up using them like the last 3 tickets I spent. To make a friend happy who would like a special skin.

I wonder how a “drinks provided, bring your own food” message would work. Meaning you would sponsor appropriate slaying potions and they – hopefully – bring their own buff food.
Or the other way round, “bring your own booze, food is free”, which would be even easier to manage by simply placing a tray of food. But this one is way more expensive than the first option.

Um, the suggestion of doing the chievements was meant as an alternative to just farming geodes from the events, since the achievements provide keys and sometimes geodes as well.
In case doing what Anet described as “skill based achievements” was more up your alley contrary to event farming in Dry Top.
you may keep them to rear new and interesting variants in your basement.
That depends on the map you got on sadly.
Lower tier maps will not provide as much geodes and doing those events over and over for multiple skins for example (or in my case for all the cooking recipes – yes I’m weird like that) can be a bit mind numbing.
And you can only get the recipes the weapons on a tier 4+ map and while the chances are acceptable that your map will get there, it isn’t naturally a given. Especially now that most people who wanted those skins are done with theirs and the maps tend to become less organised again.
Edit: I’m not saying it’s not doable. And there are worse grinds out there, especially if a large amount of rng is involved. I agree on that part.

I actually have 3 of the fossiles stuck in my banktab because I don’t need them and I can’t sell them/give them to friends who were not that lucky.
And I can understand if someone doesn’t want to farm the 400+ geodes you need to craft one of those weapons
The food I can only repeat I find truly weird to be accountbound.
you may keep them to rear new and interesting variants in your basement.
I so wish they would make geodes and the fossiles tradeable. And the bloody food you can cook with the cacti. Why is the ready-made food accountbound?
Oh, I forgot I knew the answer, to give PvE players something to do with their time.
Edited for better choice of words.
Edit 2 to avoid double posting:
Just do the LS, gives you a few lockpicks and geodes on top of that. As boring as it may be.
The waypoint conundrum quest from the last Episode seems to have baggies with a high dropchance for charged lodestones; half my characters got a charged lodestone with a few onyx lodestones on top of it. Yes, it’s mindnumblingly boring, but if you really want one of those… Maybe start off with one char, open chests with the lockpicks you got and if you can’t get an insect, repeat.
That only works halfway sadly. The amount of geodes you get from playing the LS and doing the achievements won’t be enough to get everything you need to build the weapon since the recipes for the weapons are rather expensive in terms of geodes. Maybe if you did all the achievements it might be enough for one, but if you want more or maybe even for one – too lazy to go through all rewards right now – you will still have to farm geodes.

I’ve had another funny occurence repeatedly now. People merge groups with widely different group descriptions, sometimes even including different paths.
I don’t know if that is a new trend because I’ve only noticed this happening to “my groups” recently.
Why would someone with a “80 exp zerk p1+3” description merge with my simple “p1” that at that point still consisted only of me? They didn’t even achieve a full group with that to fill up with a class they might have wanted to round out the group composition or anything like that. What’s the point in that?
Other than to fill your group quicker, but you’ll most likely get it filled with people you didn’t want there in the first place.
Another thing I had happen to me is people joining and altering your lfg to fit their tastes better. You post a “p3” are at 3/5 and the next one to join changes your lfg to “80s ZERK ONLY EXP PING GEAR”. What the hell?
Admittedly though, that only happened to me once.
But the merge is something that I have experienced a couple of times now.
I’m starting to feel like a lfg weirdness magnet these days.

But those number tweaks aren’t going to change anything. The ranger is a perfectly fine class in dungeon and I know it full well, but it’s nothing special and a very small dps buff isn’t going to make it much better. What I want is CHANGES. Changes to the core mechanics (sword aa top) that make the class clunky. It’s not unplayable or bad, but I’m frustrated at the stagnation of all the classes because they won’t bother spicing things up. No new weapons, barely a couple of skills, a handful of traits. It’s not enough, FREAKING TWO YEARS INTO THE GAME.
I cannot argue that last point. Not even from an advocatus diaboli standpoint.

50 is better. It does not have a mistlock instability that makes the run take longer, it has better drop rates. There is no reason to run anything besides 30 40 50 if you have the AR.
In some cases the constant agony ticks reducing your healing skills can break a group. Especially during the Mai Trin cannon phase for example. I know the drill “just time your heals shortly after the agony ticks” but that is sometimes easier said than done.
And a few wipes on 50 due to something like that will quickly negate the time gained compared to the 49 instability.

think thats all of them.
I like how they heavily nerf the only decent weapon combinations while giving minor buffs to completely useless sets that will never be used, even if they buffed their damage by a 50%. They pretend they’re moving a little of this stagnant and murky game by adding some cds here, some damage there.
I’m… bleh. Disgusted.
It’s so cheap, so lame that I don’t even know what to say. Sadly, they’re not the only ones that do it. “Look, we nerfed all your damage skills by a straight 60%, but now this useless skill lasts 5% more! [neverwinter]”
I fear for my favourite classes. See, this is the nice thing about liking a measly class like the ranger. It can’t possibly be nerfed more than this.inb4 “reduced sword aa damage by 10%”
Pardon the outrage, but I’m really sick of this stagnation. I can’t even take a break, because it wouldn’t change anything. If I came back, the game would be exactly the same… and I should pay gems to unlock stuff. L.O.L.
E: lol at you Joe for thinking a new weapon is gonna come out.
Truth be told the announced Ranger changes were what made me hopeful for the class tweaks. The signet change alone made the changes worhtwile and the rest are nice as well. Nothing too over the top, but useful.
And then came along the warrior and thief changes. I might see this overly bleak since I mostly play warrior, guard and thief, but I’m still put off by this.

Ranging the berserker – sometimes including switching with fast hitting attacks on the firestorm every 25% to negate the soft enrage – isn’t that uncommon. People usually employ that in a group that doesn’t carry enough dps to bring down the berserker fast enough before being “fire carpeted” by the enraged firestorm, if they lack reflects or most likely a combination of both.
Or if they are afraid to go toe to toe with a big melee berserker thingy and maybe have trouble jumping over the shockwaves in close quarters.
It was most likely a combination of some of the above that caused the trouble you had with the duo.
All in all, burning down the berserker quickly in close quarters is the more efficient solution if you can deal with the aforementioned difficulties. Not only in respect to the time it takes but also in respect to the “room for error” aspect. Ranging the berserker draws out the fight and increases the odds of someone being fried by the firestorm. Which is why I can only recommend to train the melee variant.
That aside, as Lilith already said, being kicked on the last fractal sucks, but as well like her I can get what might have provoked the kick. :/

As nice as the semi cleave for the dagger on thief is, there are fights where I actually enjoy the fact that the daggers don’t cleave, like Yanonka. But those are niche problems I guess.
What annoys me is the Black Powder change. I get it from a pvp point of view but we already have different boon durations in pve and pvp in some cases, different damage for confusion for example and different initiative costs for Pistol Whip in pve and pvp. So why not go all the way and split skills more between pve and pvp. Would make the initial effort greater, but make balancing all around much easier.
And I’m not that much of a fan of the adrenalin changes either.

If the gold reward was removed from dungeons the lfg tool would die. This is why I am confident it will stay.
I don’t think so. There would still be a demand for the tokens for skins (the pvp reward tracks can’t really compensate if you’re trying to get multiple armor skins from a dungeon set in a decent amount of time) or for those who want to craft a specific legendary.
Not to mention there are actually people who do dungeons because they a) are interested in the story and b) simply like doing dungeons.

Hm, I can get behind forgetting for something like changing traits as that is usually not directly obvious, but utility skills? Especially a signet that pops up in your boon-bar as well?
Believe me, it can happen. Did happen to me too. I have some classes where I usually have a signet equipped (Necro’s Signet of Spite for example) and if I use a IMS-Signet, I always switch out my normal signet. Sometimes I simply notice it too late.
Actually on necro or thief I can understand it better since their sigils lack color coding on top of the symbol and they usually slot signets in combat.
But most likely I’m just overly sensitive to the matter because I’ve seen people get kicked for something as trivial as that.

I’m neither totally unlucky nor totally lucky when it comes to pugs – I usually use nondescript lfgs just giving the path – but I remember a lot of extreme cases on both fronts.
