After a day or so I come to the conclusion the original build still works as intended. You just lose the sustained healing. But that isn’t affecting the fact the build is meant to be a heal sharing build. So the original build can stay as is. What I will do is make a offensive version slightly altered but still heal sharing.
Which will probably be 0/15/30/20/5 I’m kinda hesitant because I still think the other shoe is going to drop on us. Good or bad I don’t know but somehow the recent changes seem incomplete.
Honestly they should have a beta process and communicate with the community with patch progression. This way is rather rude and not working well.
Nope its called is the loot correct it has failed and been incorrect before. And didn’t get changed until someone said something. You may want to direct that complain line to the people complaining about the gem store everyday. Also I believe thier was a post on this where people said this mistake was made before?

Still looking for more combo’s more than ever now that I tested how fail AH is now. Side note because of the increased use of VOJ. It places 3 stacks which acts like a mini old AH. As long as your killing mobs and constantly keeping it on CD. Which is right up my alley I spam it to extend burning damage.
By doing this you replicate somewhat AH old healing. It definately keeps it viable as long as you use it actively. The passive face roll it used to be is gone we just got to get over that. Also encourages you to combo it more so I guess that’s cool.
They won’t bother AH anymore no reason to. Now in order for it to be the same as it was before the patch you have to be proactive. And I bet something else gets added to offset the class weakness in survival now. Meditation heals is ok but really not the only game play you should be stuffed into.
Hmm does the blimp stop a different place each day or are they spreading this out? And is it intended the incredibly fail loot you get in the dungeons. As well as the jumping puzzle loot I have done that puzzle 10 times and got junk.

LOL nah my voice is just deep like that. And guardian is fun not faceroll and not weak. Takes a little while to find yourself as in what guardian you want to be. Everyone is different and has different likes.

Right now it looks 0/15/30/20/5 Same weapons GS/Staff. It’s still early on this I’m going to take my time I got a hunch that this last patch won’t be the only change. The change to AH weakened too many builds. Something has to be given to replace the imbalance we have now.
I don’t want to make 20 builds while they figure it out so I’ll be patient for now and experiment. Because right now it looks like we are even less guardian and more warrior at the moment.

That’s why I said all they did was make AH do what it was intended to do. We just got used to a side effect they were too lazy to patch until now. It does suck but I’ll adjust and find a new way as always no point in complaining.
Yes dizzyd that is linking attacks. You can do both arcane attacks during that as well.
I looked that person up all I could find is the breaking bad guy. Did you by any chance mean him? Also incoming Tixx video soon even though he doesn’t do much lol..
I’m not sure what to think atm. The recent patch to guardian helped and hurt our depth at the same time. I’m still questioning who beta test this stuff before it goes live. Because a lot of the patches lately don’t seem thought out.

Since this build got murdered a bit with the vigorous nerf. Hmm where to go from here. I’m definately going to redo this now. Sad i even have to our choices got even more limited. As always open to thoughts while I spam this jumping puzzle for more bags lol.

Well moving along only class I seen that suffers from lack of combo’s is mesmer. But they have a totally different feel. Because they can use pet bomb combo’s and status bomb combo’s. When you pull those off it looks wonderful.
Reindeer drink is the same as the candy corn one? Any rare gifts inside of it like the skins? Or rare clothes would work too that be worth spam doing the puzzle.
Yea I still think thats a bit weird don’t you. Go outside and boom we on vacation in Hawaii lol.

this was ready so I figured why not no point in holding it.
Well after one night of falling at the end of a jumping puzzle. I think I did enough to put something up on this event so far. I really liked the flaw and ease of the jumping puzzle. It wasn’t too hard it was actually cool to witness. The overall feel of Lion’s Arch is very festive. But I do have a complaint on that feel. If you go to the other edges of the city it’s like ok it’s snowing now we are back in the jungle in the sun.
I feel if your going to make a area change seasonal everywhere else should change too. That aside the look of the area done up in snowy decor is cool. Next thing I like is the Guitar Heroish chior game. It’s actually pretty hard and different so no complaint there. Last I’d like to touch on the Snow Fight pvp action. While it is fun and interesting. People are exploiting in it. So Anet I wont name names take a look at it.
Oh one last thing I hope Wintersday gifts drop more than raggidy clothes……Even if they are vendor token like items. I still hope to see something rare in them. Hmm what do you guys think? We still got Tixx who is showing up in a few hours. Having fun or not so much?

I fell 6 times at the end I didn’t know the correct path to go. Then the last time I just went for it. I guessed right now I did it on all 3 of my characters.
All I got was a karma jug, snow flakes, and presents. The presents had old socks sweaters and hats lol…..I was like wtf is this you use them for turn ins.
I may need to change too I’ll look into it tommorrow.

My only suggestion is be calm and don’t think about it.
This definately wasn’t as hard as the clock tower. It was a lot of fun I was more frustrated with falling at the end of it then anything. At any rate enjoy and you can do it too just took me a hour. And I’m a jumping puzzle noob.

Too bad combo’s don’t work on wintersday but I managed to do it lol………
Also multi builds will almost never be balanced it’s impossible. Unless things start getting micro managed and programmed. I enjoy things for what they are and also enjoy finding ways around nerfs and op classes lol

I don’t know about being stuck into one build to survive. I made 5 of them all up on the net. I can choose any of the 5 and compete. I don’t think it’s the games fault for peoples lack of imagination.
@Wizardauz Check this out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_qPSEhXoZY. He is combo cancelling and explaining it pretty much the same as I am in this game. Some times your not actually stopping the attacking. Your carrying it over to the next attack.
Which is called (combo cancelling) it’s been called that for 20 years. See 30 seconds in he is cancelling the kick animation into a fireball attack. He didn’t actually stop the attack he cancelled the animation at a certain time to link into another move. That is all move cancelling is not rocket science.
And it’s in this game as well as I showed in this video. No it’s not street fighter it’s a mmorpg that actually lets you combo like a street fighter. And that makes things a whole lot more interesting even if you don’t understand it. Like I said in another post plenty people do and are running with it. I just don’t like to leave people in the dark. Even if another 100 people hit me saying damn I’m doing that in my class. Look at for the warrior version of this it will be sick. That won’t be my creation people on gw2guru’s are taking care of that.
As far as Leap and JI I use that combo a lot as a double hit. Especially if the running person is low health. Here is a break down of that combo.
Leap of Faith=1400-2000
JI= 1000-2000
Smite Condition=1000-3000 variable if debuffed
VOJ/WW=2000-6000
If you crit everything which you will majority if your around 50% 7000-13000 damage. In 4-5 seconds. Now a person can roll out of it but in my experience they don’t do that until your at the VOJ/WW stage because it happens so fast. Most cases people who are slow I flat line. If not the next weapon switch and hit kills them. Of course this is variable to how much toughness they have.
Well we do have the true combat mod. But A-net won’t be official on how they feel about it. Even though it clearly makes things better.

I get you see the thing is a lot of the population button mash. And don’t even understand all the skills to begin with. Then come on the forum and say the game is shallow I can’t face roll. This game is anything but shallow I just gave you a massive example of how it’s not.
But it’s not also rock paper scissors or trinity. I see a lot of guys wanting this to be Gw1 updated. Guys you need to face reality a bit. Gw1 was a cult hit a upgraded version of it will be still a cult hit. It was never a major financial success it was average and popular that’s it. So wanting a company to repeat average is almost too silly for real life.
What they did this time was build on it. Which now made a average trademark good or even number 1 in the genre atm. It’s still early too early for bailing or crying. So what I do is work with it and explore. They got plenty of time to work it out B2p beauty there.

@CMF Like I said originally JI is a linker. And what your describing is it linking attacks “Like I said”. And like I said again in the video and here since you guys are way too anal or bored. I’m using it in a fighting game sense. In fighting games when you cancel or cross up attack. The original attacks is not always completely cancelled. You in fact get original hits carried into the cross up attack (JI).
Which is why so many people get it and are running with it. Because this is exactly what happens in street fighter games. It’s called exactly move cancelling. Which usually leads into a super move or linking together a large combo. I’m not going to discuss it further because it’s not what the post is about. It’s one word in a deluge of info. If you don’t like how it’s used fine so be it.
Now Like I said anyone got any combo’s? I got alot of good ones I didn’t even list in the video. Still looking for more variety. Someone actually sent me on you tube a sceptor montage of epic win combos.

Well it does have a chance to be in depth as far as substance. What I showed is truthfully flash and dash. Truth be told I could almost auto attack and do the same thing damage wise in pve. However doing things like this in pvp has a mental effect on people. Because normally people don’t expect someone to chain things on them. When you do it kinda catches a person off guard.
Say like last night I did a JI/Hammer Slam/Smite Condition/Virtue of Justice/Purging Flames/Changed to GS Leaped after the person and Whirling Blade=Person whiped out in 4 seconds. Now you think ok he just got owned. But what it did is next time that person came to me. He backed off and ranged me almost ran just about. Things like this is the fun part of the game that should be augmented. Where skill can impose your will on a enemy more.

@Kasei if you didn’t watch it you’re already dismissed. Don’t have opinions for things you didn’t properly research that’s fail. Like I said your dismissed I won’t even pay attention to you anymore. Because I’d never have the nerve to say any non sense without proper investigation. You just about called me a liar without any research. You better make sure of things like that I don’t take kindly to that audacity.
@Kurieg it also does the same thing for a rather large greatly done combo. Also I went on the explain each combo how it happens and display it. I can’t help you if you ignore the example and stuck on canceling. Because like I said we are talking about this is in a fighting game sense. When you stop a original attack doesn’t matter the outcome. You stopped the original attack as it was intended to be. And linked it into something else which is exactly what I said. Stop being so literal and enjoy it or feel free to ignore it.
But judging by the views likes and responses everywhere. And people doing versions for other classes. That be a pretty lonely view I’m afraid. It’s nothing more than a fun way to do things and spice things up. Don’t over think it I could make a 4 hour video if I showed everything.

Your thinking far too hard on this lol. JI cancels the original state of whatever your using. And drags it along (like I mentioned in the video) or outright does override things. Say if you use the staff heal you won’t still heal. If you use line of warding and before you land you will dash out of thus (cancelling the original move). I said it exactly how it works don’t over think it.
Depending on timing of what you do JI will either cancel or link the orginal move together with it. Brings some extra added flavor and fun to things that are kinda boring usually. Also like I said because it places a dot. It links total damage together. We don’t have a combo meter in game. However the game itself does keep track and tells you when you do a big one. Maybe that’s something Anet should add. It might spice things up a little and get people to switch weapons and display a little more skill.
I want to believe in zeal it just needs a little A-net love. For now I’ll stay away from it. Maybe the next big patch we will get some fixes or new toys with it.
Only if you time it correctly it will. But you have to do it alot sooner in the leap then I did. About where you rise up and start to swing. Because it drags the whole animation with it you still will land both hits. The same as when you use the hammer smash and it dragged that. That was a instance of it being timed correctly. Not always as easy as it sounds to do that every time.
You know if I didn’t actually do it A HUNDRED TIMES in the video. You would have a leg to stand on. But JI does cancel any guardian attack. Some it will drag the guardian attack with it. I don’t think you know what your talking about. You may want to back away slowly from this post before you embarrass yourself further.
Even more funny as a example is me cancelling the greatsword leap in mid air and teleporting in the air still to the mob. It’s one of the only instances in the game you can actually do something while still in the air. Why does that happen? Because JI (overrided) the leap. Another instance of that is using the number 2 hammer skill. At proper timing you can lunge even further and drap the slam down hit.
Again you be better in your argument if i didn’t actually display me doing exactly what I said cancelling attacks. So try again there fail troll. Also troll because it’s apparent you fail at street fighter mechanics. A linker often cancels or has no CD either. Do some research before you post sometimes.

I do agree it will become rather boring as is. That’s why I made this post to discuss and get some ideas going. So hopefully stuff like that can be avoided. I got someone who liked the video and hit me up. He wants to do a engineer and warrior version.
Hmm well i do agree with you compaired to GW1 Rukia. But builds and info on builds is up to the community. First 2 links in my sig are builds that ended up popular. I made 5 in all people use or atleast liked or looked at. I see the same potential in Elementalist. But those are my only 2 characters.
Looking around I see plenty of ways guys can make good builds out of professions. But what I don’t see many people trying to make builds. Unless they feel it’s useless to do at all.
Well Zeldain I was trying to enlighten peoplea little to show them switching weapons actually is fun. I didn’t go all out because the video be far too long. But it seems the game right now suffers from still too soon bug. What I mean about that is most companies are scared now to swing the nerf and buff bat.
After watching past games do that and implode. I have faith at the moment they will even things out. They do it slowly however which sparks impatient masses to rage.
Ok today I released a combat vid with combos and tactics. I didn’t however expect people to bash Gw2 on it being too shallow. This game has a lot of depth it’s just not face roll apparent. So much depth in that one class I couldn’t even cover it all in 30 minutes. And could easily go on for another hour plus fleshing out different combos and situations.
And this is just one class mind you. So it leaves me to wonder are people just whining or really just don’t know. And what is every ones idea of depth because maybe that is a problem itself. And how can you even define the true meaning of depth in this case. Who is to say whose right or wrong? It’s all in the eye of the beholder. I personally think the depth is fine. So much so I took the time out to make 2 vids on it. Time permitting to me I’ll do atleast 2 more classes.
My question to you guys without a flame war please lol. Do you think we have enough depth here? And do we need more for a better experience? It’s apparent a lot of people think so. And point to lack of a position pointing system in the game hurts game action.
