Nice lol but naming it glassy guardian lol? I’m looking to change out 10 of honor and see if it affects me too much. I notice I heal too much and maybe need a lil bit of a scale back on that now.

So we will see if i miss the symbol healing much if at all. If it turns out I don’t miss it I’ll have to redo the 2.0 build into 3.0 finally. I been getting spammed with builds on my channel. With try this try that use this use that. I don’t want guys to think they are being ignored.

Feel free to discuss and dissect combo’s or hit me with combo’s I didn’t list. Always fun seeing a different look on it. I posted this elsewhere and got bombarded with combos I hadn’t even considered. It was a rather refreshing thing to see guys so eager to display the skills.

I went through most of the combo’s with the Guardian’s Weapons. A thing you need to understand about this game. You have combo fields and combo starters which are usually just skill attacks. And you have combo finishers which usually cancel skill attacks. This system is very similar to Street Fighter in how strong attacks cancel weaker ones. What I’m going to do through the course of this video is show you how to link things together.

First thing I’ll put out there is this game has attacks called linkers. Most traditional linkers in this game cancel attacks. Guardian only has one of those attacks and it’s called Judges Intervention. No matter what you’re doing in Guardian JI can cancel it. And cause 3 second burning dot damage. The dot damage duration is your time to pull out another move. The way the counter in this game works is you have a second to do continued attacks. Auto attacks usually don’t keep a combo going on a slow weapon. So knowledge of what can cancel is key to getting the big damage achievements.

Another Linker you have is Virtue of Justice. It can also be done off CD anytime it’s ready. It applies a 5 second visible blue flame. To you and people around that all counts in your damage combo. Note that the 5 seconds is a great way to pile on attacks. And throw out things that are linkers that don’t cancel and take time. Take for instance purging flames and symbol of wrath. They only cancel auto attack and in the case of PF it takes a little time to come out. But once it’s out while the target is burning from VOJ. This all continues the combo and gives you more time to call out things. Like the flame dogs or the ethereal dog pet from the collector’s edition. Also note that both these pets place a burn as well. In some cases after all yours are long gone.

Where you go from there is all up to you. I have it to the point now from practicing so many different combos. And trying to see what works in what situation. I can do it on command now it took a lot of imagination and practice. For sure you have plenty of other combo’s out there. But if I tried to show you every little thing this is a 2 hour video. I’ll pass on talking for two hours and hope you enjoy this later.

Are you getting the same damage I get in the vid? Both my med attacks do usually 1500-2500 average.

Bliss do you have the same stats I posted more or less? Also is all your gear exotic level?

Bunker ele’s do pose a problem but I knocked them down and drag them when I can. Or trick them with land layout. In most cases if it’s open field you have yourself a problem. Same can be said about self healing thieves. I think those builds heal a bit too much or maybe I need to research them better. Meditation builds have heavy combo linker implications. But that’s another story and another vid I have been too busy to finish. I do however want it out before the 14th patch. I’m going to keep my the promise I made 2 months ago to list all the guardian combos every weapon.

Bleeds as they say on the net post it or it didn’t happen. Every high crit guardian I know and trust I know alot. Cut that out when they realized you hit harder and live longer for less. It’s just the truth I mean I proved it so hey don’t listen it’s your game. And your aware Zeal is totally useless right?

The 10% crit bonus of divinty out runs the entire damage bonus of the 10 points. Test it out unless you want the wrath symbol or something you could use that 10 points else where maybe. Like maybe finish radiance out get PI or 15% crit on 1 handed and rearrange crit for for more bonus. Or throw 10 into honor and get the 10% damage with aegis on. Which actually has more up time than 10 in Zeal does. And you get more health and healing and still get more damage then using zeal with a divinity swap. I wasn’t talking out my kitten when I said zeal is useless atm.

@trung way to go lets see it. Make a you tube of it I actually did one fractal with my Berserker 3.0 build http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B73P_NwVAfc. Wasn’t anywhere near as smooth as it is in Paladin builds. You have to know thats going to be painful to do lol……..

@bash No one said I’m god but I’m hitting you in the head with numbers and facts. Your raging opinion at me when it’s not even true. I’m never going to let anyone spread things that will lead people to failure not happening. Post a vid of you in a fractal/spvp/WvW of you not being curb stomped. Then maybe you can come on the forums talking stuff. I respect builds all builds but like I said I don’t allow people to follow a bad mentality. Over stacking is a bad thing in this game unless your a tank.

I use full Berserkers as well and no way you can do anything but a paladin like build in fractals after 12th lvl. PVP kinda works the same way. You can force it but you soon learn balance or die. Doesn’t really matter if it works for me or the next guy. That is just how this game works.

Those minor heal ticks will not save your life or even come close to the usefulness of the stats you won’t have. It’s basically a stronger Zealous Blade lol yea… It’s not like I didn’t spend 4 months making vids on this lol….Or didn’t put it on the net clearly showing its kinda pointless to glass cannon a guardian.

But hey if you want to really learn the hard way go ahead. I had to learn to let Zeal go and that I was wrong to stack high crit in build 1.0. You will figure it out when you take enough dirt naps.

Ok let me break this down for you because it’s not like I didn’t do this for 4 months. Vigor will stay up regardless even if you have 25%. The reason why is the speed of attacks in this game. You can hit something 4 times damn near in 1-2 seconds. Which you usually crit in those 2 seconds. Hell it does it with almost no crit try it you’ll see what I mean.

If your going to crit that fast it doesn’t matter what percent you have vigor will always be up. You have your auto attack fire procs weapon procs skill procs. Say you attack 10 times in 5 seconds. And you crit twice ok now you have vigor up with just 25% crit. It will stay up period with just 25% crit. Going any higher won’t make it magically more useful. Because its going to stay up regardless. Because of the amount of times this game allows you to attack in a second spam.

Say you normal attack cancel it into whirling wrath. Call out purging flames cancel out of PF into JI all of that is quick and vigor will stay through out. I counted at one point with a excel sheet 61 attacks in a minute. No way possible for vigor to ever fall off due to that. So that’s really just your want to do that but you going to 85% isn’t doing anything to keep vigor up it be there anyway.

See the thing is i’m saying it has a cap. Because at a point you start sacrificing other stats. Usually that point is between 45-50%. Now if you already crit say 50% of the time. You really need 75% to even really notice that one more time you crit in 5 hits.

Which means lower health defeating the purpose of even wearing heavy armor. That same thing goes for missing toughness. And your a guardian with many healing mechanics why nerf that? But as I said in another post a guardian who isn’t guarding anything including himself isn’t a guardian. What you may actually want at that point is a warrior/thief.

Originally I made a how to make gold series for beginners and Veterans. The problem is Orr got nerfed so I made the first mention video to counteract that. Things that a company cannot nerf is a players mentality. They can’t nerf your speed or you tenacity. Nor can they nerf your awareness of the game and how it runs. So i did a 2.0 of the original guide based off of what I do now in Orr.

Similar to my berserker build but I’m long done with zeal. No more points for that tree ever lol.

You may want to test out (I did) going that high in crit. The reason it becomes capped and not needed is because at 50% crit you crit more than enough in spam hits. In pvp no one is going to live through it anyway. And in pve unless if its a boss you can actually stand still for. Dps really isn’t that much of a factor as it is in other games. If you can find a stand still fight it’s probably not that long.

The problem with going pass 50% is that you are using far too much resources to get it. Which means you become a weak glass cannon that is USELESS in almost every part of the game. You will need to be protected or run your behind off with perfect dodging to not be useless. My very first berserker 1.0 build I showed why that is a inferior way of playing in this game. And the rule remains a dead dps does no dps.

One thing I noticed that made me cringe is your crit is far too high. At about 50% crit begins to lose usefulness and starts getting diminishing returns. You be better suited scaling back some crit for other stats. Being that your about 15% over what you need. Same as other games crit stacking is capped.

Well to me JI is invaluable. So if I had to choose I’d boot smite condition.

Yep fun of the build is if you chose so you don’t haved to get the 15% crit and use the 5 points elsewhere. On both sides of it I went with it this way because most guys don’t like wasting funds. So you can do basically everything damage wise this way without ever changing the build. And can swap around gear frankly at this point you probably have multiple gear sets. Someone new however tread how you see fit and your funds allow.

This week while the christmas even is up I’m going to try all sorts of rune combo’s.

If you are going to do that you can go with the signet that gives power or defense. Whichever you feel is more beneficial the healing signet wouldn’t be that great its not a healing build. But the power signet’s knockdown might be something your interested in.

Well I put in you can vary well any weapon. I use GS usually as my base and switch constantly depending on whats happening. That keeps the game fresh for me also allows me to come up with combos. That’s another little middle game in itself for me. Trying to top my combo damage and combo achievement records. For me meditations are good stand alone. Even if you don’t have a condition on you Smite condition will still hit hard. To me the condition damage modifier is a icing on the cake deal.

I have no idea why it made 3 post I didn’t do that. And it won’t even let me delete the other ones nothing is there lol…….

I had 2 earlier versions they did the job but both were flawed. The first was damage alot of it highest in fact. But it was like a flash fire impressive until blowned out. The second was a little less glass cannon and more cannon but still not quite there.

Ok now we have part 3 I managed to get all the pop of the cannon into a build you leave the glass out. I know some hater will be like wtf no didn’t. But yea I did I went 30 Radiance 30 Valor 5 Honor 5 Virtue. We are completely going after crit and its damage modifier crit damage. This unintentionally has made Zeal a no point ever zone. I tried and failed to find a reason to continue using Zeal.

As par for the course I use Berserker armor all the time. My trinkets however are mixed for my needs. You can feel free to do whatever you like there. Main reason is now you are way over the critical quota. You absolutely need no more precision beyond the traits and base Berserker armor. You will be around 48-51% thats the line right there anything more is wasted stats.

Weapons you would use Greatsword and Sceptor/Hammer/1HandSword. The build is flexible for it all. I however would suggest Sceptor more with all the damage enhancing it hits really hard from range. Hammer will murder people in pvp and make you a aggro magnet in pve. I have not used this beyond one match in sPVP. At one point with hammer I 2 shot someone it was funny.

Because I included meditation in the build as dps and healing. Put together with the added defense from valor. You can now stay in there and heal while handing out the pain. I hope you guys enjoy it basically a Glass Cannon without the glass and all the cannon.

Hmm I think I’ll try the grove bonus with my tank build I’m working on. I wish we had a interface that we could save trait builds. I don’t mind having to pay to redo it. But It be nice if we didn’t have to keep refilling things.

LOL this game isn’t dying but it is shedding the emo’s and people afraid to actually work hard at everything. But i have no problem with any community losing its whiner database. Sometimes you just need to shut up and play a lot of guys haven’t learned that lesson yet.

I can 100% confirm people did get precursors now. Which was the main reason I made this post I thought people were lying about it. But now videos popped up in my videos timeline on it.

I liked the feel of this fractal and the graphics on it. The bosses were well done and fun not overboard enjoy the look. I know I’m doing this very slow I promise I’ll speed it up from here on out.

Well Azure if you use GS alot combined with the 2H CD reduction you actually use the symbol alot. And if its a case of alot of melee in the group or a group activity in the world. Say like protecting npc’s while they do repair something. I use the ghost bow and the symbol on top of them to directly heal them. But the beauty of the game is you can do whatever you feel comfortable with. I personally don’t have a problem killing anyone. So I scale back on overpowering and work more on healing and passive healing.

Oh and @Deathlust I just this morning was called “Wall Guardian” Because these two thiefs couldn’t kill me. I ended up killing one and stalled long enough on the second to get back up.

@Yafoo and the rest who didn’t get anything maybe try petitioning. I know a few people from my server have. Can’t hurt unless ofcourse you don’t care to.

Yea me and a friend whose a guardian as well run this build in dungeons. With the both of us basically passive healing no one dies. Unless of course they fail the mechanic of a fight lol…….Can’t save those who stand in fire too long

I do take solace in the fact precursor prices just took a noticeable cut. Not great sword though “sadface”. I was annoyed last night my wife got one and I didn’t. But when I woke up i realized that’s just hating for no reason. Whoever got lucky grats to them but I do have a Anet suggestion. Double check again Anet because people who were standing there with me on my server. Have not yet received anything that is truly unfair.

Go for power/Vit/toughness or Power/Toughness/Healing. If you don’t need power at all you can just fore go that and go after toughness gear with variations. Don’t over do it with toughness though then you won’t kill anything.

My wife just got a precursor staff yea I’m about to rage at the loot gods…….She wasn’t even there I know that for a fact. Because she crashed long before the Ancient Karka was even out.

Hmm Yumiko I got lost once and just found my own way back to the crowd. My only advice I can give you on that is don’t rely on anyone.

So i logged on today and seen I got the Lost Shores rewards I was jipped out of. I ended up with the shell back piece, The bag, and a cool looking chest piece for light armor wearers. Also some assorted junk items not to serious. What did you guys get let me know anyone get lucky precursors?

My base armor is berserker but my trinkets are a mix. Mainly of power/Vit/healing/toughness. You can decide how you would like to proceed in more of whichever stat you like. That fits your play style or a weakness your addressing. I’m not sure which Karka fight you mean but here’s one.

I can last a minute or so against a team. Usually stalling and trolling and picking who to kill before I go down. But we are not even close to invincible thats a bit pushing it.
