Oh, and the first week, taking advantage of “exploits” such as stacking permanent buffs on NPCs in WvW and far outleveling / outgearing your opponents by farming Yaks / supply camps. I guess the OP forgot to mention these things…

It can’t even be called ‘tactics’. They simply have not only the time but the ungodly motivation to do lame/boring things just to maximize WvW point totals.

Nobody will ever really remember their deeds 1-2 yrs from now, but I’m sure the bandwagoners on the server will pat each other on the back. And, of course, refuse to actually be sporting/competitive (instead of pretending to be) and transfer around to even up the scores.

If you and your many friends are zerging around and you see that you’re winning too much, maybe you should stop, step back and ask yourself:

1) Are we team stacking too much?
2) Have we gone too far, numbers/time-zone/dedication-wise, against opponents that will never even care/remember?
3) Wouldn’t we enjoy fighting each other instead?

But nobody ever really looks at themselves, because in their own minds, they’re ‘good people’ and doing the right thing. Right? So if you’re on Henge. Ask yourself: am I really being what I believe I am (sporting, competitive, good at the game, etc.)?

A level 80 char in Toughness gear with Exotic weapons can wipe a group of lower level layers easily (regardless of whether the game buffs them to 80 stats or not). You know a level 80 player form those who are not within seconds when fighting them in W3 as they go down in seconds.

No, you know they’re not 80 when you see a green up-arrow next to their name. 80’s have no green arrow. There’s actually quite a few 80s dying to me, if you look carefully.

Solution: People should stop being weak-minded beings with terrible mentalities – they should stop all team-stacking 1 server to ‘win’ and start thinking about being the ones to balance out population issues.

Especially the large guilds – stop allying with other large guilds, spread yourself out, keep it balanced.

There is no other reliable solition. The problem here is the players, not the system.

I run solo as I did in Rift – Grevance – I am Malf now on GW2 with MMAC – Your tactics are pretty basic. Anyone that has fought Darkhaven – knows a little Thief taking on guild 5 mans and winning. I dont do it with OP Crit/Damage Builds. I kite and line of sight, evade dodge at the right times and bleed them all down. I destroy all direct damage thiefs. I really hope we fight your server. I love teaching thiefs how to play this game – nice music though.

If they finally add cross-server duels or private games, I’d be down for some 1v1s. Actually, we can set something up even now, we’d just need to keep finding empty sPvP servers (kind of a pain, but me and Solaris went at it a few times like that).

They (usually Henge of Denravi) keep throwing more numbers at the situation, which in this case happens to be me.

Good video, if it was in sPVP. But WvW is not about that. You are just picking on lower level undergeared players.

My estimates are most of you are somewhere between ‘wemadbrah’ and ‘weverymad’. I mean c’mon. Most good players KNOW that there’s certain builds for half the classes that work great only against bad players (thieves/warriors especially). So if you’re complaining about those specific builds, that shows everyone just what kind of player you really are.

Random high-lvl drops, rather common. If you don’t want to spend time looking, you can always buy the blue commando pieces off the trading post for ridiculously-cheap prices. Blue, green or rare drops can all have the commando mod on them. I’m assuming you want it for the skin (it’s my favorite skin too), because commando stats are pretty terrible.

So, kind of a cool story bros.

I’ve been mostly trying to farm badges to replace some of my green gear. Funny enough, I’m running into plenty of 1v3+ type footage no matter what I do. I suppose you can thank Henge of Denravi and its bandwagoning team stackers for having 5 hrs queues even at night. Why don’t some of them transfer to other servers? I don’t get it either…

Anyway, 2nd wpvp vid just might get released real soon, depending on how many more zerglings I have to take out, Rambo-style, to get my badges.

What do you know, the 1st one got moved, but not this one. Not one or the other?

The same reason they decided to give stealth and teleport to thief and mesmer in downed state, or a self instant rez that lets you use your invulnerability skill as a warrior

But yeah, how downed state is currently implemented does remove a lot of fun from the game, I will not argue against that.

I don’t quite see how this belongs more in fan-generated content more than the pvp section… I mean, the video SHOWS how to play PvP, what it looks and sounds like? In great detail? I even link my build in the replies?

And the overwhelming majority of its content is your game? How is any of that fan-generated, aside from the editing/transitions?

I humbly request that this be moved back to the pvp section (aka players helping players).

EDIT: This build isn’t for everyone – it’s not as easily learned as d/d heartseek/blossom spam and not as straightforward as pistol whip burst. But this, and my next video, will be a showcase of what a primarily ranged Thief is capable of.

No, I pretty much agree with downed state being lame and too carebear/dumbed down a mechanic for competitive PvP.

At least remove downed abilities, let the players just sit there slowly bleeding health. Guild Wars 1’s system was and still is the best – each person has a 1-time-use Resurrection Signet, that recharges upon ‘morale boost’ (your team getting kills).

There are lots of variations to my p/d setup, depending on situation.

I swap out the 3rd skill slot for various things, usually the shadow refuge/ice drake venom for sPvP and Signet of Shadows for wPvP. Those aren’t set in stone, and I haven’t been able to find any 3rd skills that I was completely satisfied with.

I also like to swap out 10 pts from deadly into shadow for venom share in 5v5 tourneys.

Pistol/shield IMO, very OP combo – I wish thief could go pistol/shield.

Haha, yeah, at the time of filming this, I wasn’t even aware of the altar of power buffs. Who needs ’em anyway, takes too much time/effort long to get more, I could be scoring more kills/badges instead!

Just some clips of me going Rambo on just about everything that moves and has a player behind its controls. Heartseeker? Pistol Whip? WTF are those!
