I’m definitely enjoying the praise about my ranger play. I think Chronix also deserves props for being top dog right now. He actually beat me -more- soundly in the subsequent duels after this, but that’s exciting for me, because someone who beats me in duels is an opportunity to refine my playstyle and learn as a ranger. When we first met, we were about even, and then -he- was the one who inspired me to flirt with carrion amulet and ultimately come up with that traps build I’m still using; posted in full detail, including gear etc, here:

…And then I soundly beat him for a bit, and then he came back with the power and signets build he’s using in that video and soundly beat me and that’s where we’re at. I’m heavily dodge-oriented, and one of the big things I’m working on is making each of my dodges count rather than just flinging dodges out randomly, which is a tricky habit to break but I’m doing well.

Oh, wait, I beat him once with his current build once I knew he was 30 BM and had to pay close attention to his pet. But he might’ve been lagging. We’ll see! All in all, I’m honored to know Chronix, because he’s a skilled ranger with a good heart and has really inspired a lot of development for my play as a ranger.

Nice video. I wish I had some to share as well. We should duel, what server you on? I’ve only been playing this class a week, but I’m a long time build maker and I’m pretty sure what I’ve come up with is stronger all around then that build for 1v1’s in general. Give it a whirl, let me know what you think. It’s more made for tournies in mind, but if you replaced that speed signet it would be stronger just for 1v1. Still even with it, I think it would take the build your using.

Also remember….A single build is not going to beat every class…That is what I found out a while ago….So is why I have two primary builds!

Hello Ranger mates! I recently encountered a ranger in my dueling section with some ranger fans. His name is Neshiba, he is one of the most greatest rangers I’ve encountered since I started playing! He defeated me in a couple of duels with an old build I had; and inspired me into creating new builds. After that I strted inspecting my old recording dueling clips and seeing what was wrong…I figured it out and I have found that perfect build that first my playstyle besides trap ranger which I love!

I normally, roam for hours to try and get fight, but seems tier I’m apart of has fight nights where all 3 servers stand around duelling, and people are willing to accept the /invite so we can chat about builds and tactics.

I should start recording them, but I feel dirty recording fights between friends from other server.

I’ve been filming for about 2 days now. It is really hard to actually get 1v1 or 2v1 or maybe even 3v1; since most of the time they are in a huge group. But I am working on it

The build is still in the works. I am trying something similar but with a lot of healing for WvsW and I have a couple of nice clips. I will release the build once mastered. You can see my other videos and if you want I can give those builds out!

Looks like a good dueling build, my main question is in the end of that vid…how could you see the thief after he went invis, and you started finishing him off before his invis buff went down.

Because they were in the same party.

But besides that, I liked the video! And wouldn’t mind to give it a try.

Nice; however, lay off the slow mo at every kill. The only time you should use slow mo is situations like the one you hovered around 1000 health versus that add ranger at graveyard; after you dropped her to 600 health (you were at 150) is a perfect time to slow mo the last few shots of that battle.

Otherwise the effect becomes redundant and thus loses its entertainment value. Less is more in a lot of situations; let your skill be the corroboration that your movie is worthy of watching, not the special effects.

…this is the only way I got better in other games. If anyone else would like to practice new traits/setups please send me a PM. Hopefully we can get into a vent/TS, grab a beer and battle away. I will lose a ton but eventually….I will get better !

Well I did because I have always been spec as a trap ranger….

Fixed a bug that allowed a ranger to have two traps of the same type active simultaneously.

Are you serious? I am trap spec…and for me that was the only build I really enjoyed using and was doing really good with. Now it’s nerfed; why ? why? Why keep nerfing the ranger, rather than improving….

I enjoy using my ranger a lot. In Spvp and Tpvp I do pretty decent but I just feel rangers are under power when compared to other professions. I just really want a straight forward answer. Are the rangers gonna be balanced? (I am not saying they are not good but they could def use a lot of improvement). Because I love rangers in every game and I just feel in here rangers don’t get that much attention for some reason. Ranger is the reason why I play this game, I tried all the other classes but they don’t fit my play style. I just need an answer, I don’t wanna put a lot of time into this game if ranger’s aren’t gonna be balanced with the other professions.
