I will chip in with my build as well:

…I use it for running with a zerg as well as for running solo.
When I roam, I will often leave my staff at home and bring dagger/warhorn next to axe/dagger.
My second utility slot changes often: an extra well or Spectral Wall when in zerg, or Spectral Armor/Wall/Grasp or Flesh Wurm when roaming.
I will also switch some traits depending on what I do at that moment, like ‘spectral mastery’ (when slotting two spectral skills) instead of ‘unyielding blast’ for example. Or ‘chilling darkness’ for ‘weakening shroud’ when I feel like slotting Plague and/or Well of Darkness.
My 2 cents…

I hope we wont make an “official” alliance with Piken, but I do hope we (SFR & Piken) will beat Vizunah to pulp.
I also really hope the creeping “Vizunah spirit” on SFR will be killed off with the end of the league.

I only thought this skill was nice when I and my enemy go down at about the same time; as said, it hits quite hard.

I don’t really understand OP’s complaints to be honest, or Umut’s idea that a necro should run a condi-spec to be effective.
I run a power spec, roaming and for zerg, and I consistently kill people of any profession (granted, sitting on 1350 toughness might be a bit squishier than the average condi build). Further, in duels I have never been demolished so fast and consistent as by dhuumfire/terror spec necro (who knows how to play).
OP even talking about more blinds on a necro; besides deathly swarm, well of darkness & plague, my dark fields are one of the few skills I call out on teamspeak for my comrades to blast (or blast myself with putrid mark).
But, by all means, do buff my power necro, I might bring people down in couple of lifeblasts and one dagger auto attack chain.

Going from my WvW experience, solo & zerg, I would say:
ranger (longbow pew pew kind)
thief (d/x)
I’ve never been slaughtered so fast and consistent as by a certain necro, dhuumfire/terror specced (with pain inverter).

I like the matchup so far.
I was kind of surprised we held Hills against that golemrush, we came in so late and were scattered. If you would have taken it I would have said “It’s normal”. Yet we somehow slaughtered you and your golem-army in the lordroom.
[VM], you have some good players, amongst them a d/d ele & thief. I enjoyed the skirmishes, I hope our paths cross some more this week.

I wish you all good fun this week. While PS will probably get a vaselined return on their investments in the first week, I hope we will have many a good fight.
See you on the battlefield, when our zergs stand face to face or roaming alone on the borders.

You might find you feel a bit too squishy indeed… maybe add in some Knights and/or soldier pieces. I think most people will say you are too squishy for the WvW environment. Keep in mind you are a necro… you don’t have that much defense in the sense of negating damage nor that much ability to disengage/reset.
Since you also have mainhand dagger, I would at least equip Well of Suffering to root an enemy in with dagger #3. You could get Focussed Rituals (VI curses) for ground targeting.
You have no stunbreaker equipped… I myself use spectral walk. Nice for the swiftness and teleport (return) as well.
As power necro I almost never slot Flesh Golem, but go for Lich Form.
I recommend you check out some video’s from Oozo playing a power necro in WvW: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLOsHFGqB-Hp8lPulc8Jioy-iXg90GRQ3l

If necro’s fear would register as an interrupt, you would have seen perplexity runes nerfed already…
edit: I of course agree that our fear should register as interrupt

We were surprised with the amount of siege weapons that SFR allocates at camps. And not just camps, even in open bridges. Once we counted ten siege weapons placed in a camp or nearby… more experience points…
Haltair, it’s far from a common tactic on SFR.
But with few people and some siege (not just for camp) we were able to defend that camp (and that corner of map), fully upgraded, for many hours, untill Hills had waypoint. Our dollies happily walked to the tower and to Hills, despite the occasional OdS thief or two trying to snipe our cows.
Yet when you eventually came with like 7 of you, and not many of us there at that moment, we couldn’t hold.
I hope to come across some lone OdS thieves this week.
Have fun all.
