I finally got to making a video talking about aurahealer and comparing it to the druid.
Have a watch if you’re interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2gCKlPwoMY
I’m in UTC+1, the same time as the majority of EU players.
The late afternoons/evenings I was refering to was anybody’s local time, here in EU that means 5+ hours from now. I feel you’re describing it worse than it actually is. Looking at the LFG right now I see 10 different ‘LFR’, people just need to start stepping up and form the group they want to join.
I’m not quite sure what you are reaching for here. I’m sure that wether or not you are playing on NA or EU servers, if you form a group around late afternoon/evening local time you’ll without fail get people.
Finding capable people has nothing to do with schedules. I’d recommend forming your own squad and that way you can easily replace the players who underperform.
The trait affects the protection you apply to yourself as well as your allies afaik.
@Iris Thanks! Raids are awesome <3
The 40% protection trait has now been placed into the Minor Grandmaster trait buddy, ‘Hardy Conduit’.
You also miss around 8% critical damage from ferocious winds and vulnerability from Weak spot. With staff you should usually run Inscription over Aeromancer’s training anyways, this trait is pretty insignificant but will decrease the cooldown on glyph of storms.
Vulnerability will be capped in raids anyways, and one could argue that you can build a team composition where bountiful power slightly outperforms BttH and Ferocious winds. I doubt it will be consistent though.
This sounds like a planned limitation on the size of the consideration list in the AI.
My guess is that prior to any attack the agent collects a list of the, say 50, closest hostile agents to consider. With the new necromancer’s minion master build that list gets capped with minions which prevents the player furthest away to be taken into consideration.
The flake shot will now be aimed at the target furthest away that is in the consideration list, which could be anyone in melee.
I commented some time ago in the Raid/Fractal forum about healers, I’ll copy paste it here.

Comparing tempest to druid, I’d say that both are really viable and have different niches. Druid has better burst heals (say heavy heals for 10s) and better party wide offensive support.
Ele has better personal damage, way better party wide defensive support (prot -40%, frost aura -10%, vigor) and better sustained heals (higher HPS, healing per second).
The end result will probably favour druid in more skilled groups since the offensive support easily outweights the ele’s superior personal damage.
Paging particlar for condi tempest advertisement
Did anyone say CONDI TEMPEST ????????
On a more serious note, tempest is pretty competetive to warrior in condition specs. Warrior do better on big hitboxes while tempest does better on stationary target. Ele also stacks up the burns exceptionally quick making the ramp up time pretty minor.

I don’t have access to any sophisticated spreadsheet but I’d say the spreadsheet DPS of this build would be similar to the condi engineer in the way that it’ll be way above the DPS in practice.
I’d say it would be around 25k, slightly above ranger while breaking even with condi berserker considering medium hitbox.
Don’t worry if we don’t come back to you immediately, we got a lot on our hands right now!
I know we love spreadsheets and I agree that comparing builds with gameplay from different players at different skill level is a problem, but isn’t gameplay variables whats actually important though?
The potential dps isn’t relevant if it’s unreachable anyways. Another aspect is quickness/alactrity. Different builds benefit differently from these buffs, which at this time are fairly easy to access. I find spreadsheets with a one fix final number to be quite limiting as well.

I don’t really know bout that because I’ve not really played it haha just wondering. I would really like to see a vid of the whole rotation from summoning the fgs to summoning the fgs againXD
Here’s a butchered rotation without FGS for you; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqKc1_CyFH4&t=7m36s
On another note, I never really liked rotations and specially not now with the introduction of alacrity. I feel it’s a limited view of potential dps, the fight is fluid.
What’s important to know is the priority of skills, making sure your highest damage skills are always on cooldown and you should have something similar to the optimal rotation.

Hey,
What do you guys think of burn ele compared to other builds? I’ve had some runs with it and it seems to be really high damage, maybe one of the highest DPS builds in specific fights.

Hey,
First off, here’s some videos of tempest healer in action.

/F because flamewall gives the most burns —> most damage.
Evasive arcana is not for might, it’s for the flame burst skill to maintain 4 additional burns.
Got a gw2skills editor build? Not everyone is able/willing to access YouTube.
Also, how much DPS does an Engineer do based on your calculation method?
As for compared DPS to the condition engineer, I don’t know. Haven’t ran real scenario dps on the engineer with quickness+alacrity. My gut says engineer is better though.

Hey guys,
I’ve heard a lot of people ask or talk about a condition build for elementalist. This build is a competetive build to the tempest staff build with a maintained DPS close to 22k and performs even better in fights against high-armored enemies (high level fractals).
Condi Tempest Build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqKc1_CyFH4
For comparison, here is tempest staff DPS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QA6py7jiV88&t=1m55s

What guild was the first one to swap guild hall?
Hey,
The tempest trait “Invigorating Torrents” doesn’t trigger the Cleansing Water trait. Even though it gives regen when an aura is used will it not remove a condition.
This round of testing is taking place during office hours with NA guilds.
Awesome initiative! Office hours in Seattle is 17-01 CEST though.
Seems like prime time to me. Surely more EU players would be available during these hours than NA players during work hours?
Fractals will get the bling now!

I can’t help but feel a bit bad about the dev silence over tempest. Seemingly all other elite specialisations have gotten responses of its feedback with changes or updates.
Does the feedback we write here even matter? Seems to me that the tempest we know today is how it’s gonna be in 13 days.
To get some perspective on ele in raids I’ve uploaded a short video of my attempts;
Now I do agree with the general opinion that the elementalist role gets outshined by others.
The two strongest positions I’ve found is either play as the ‘tank’ to keep the vale guardians aggro or as a fresh air tempest for moderate damage on the move.
I have found tempest to be pretty good in condi in pve though, but that doesn’t mean the specialisation doesn’t need a lot of work.
I feel almost all traits needs to be reworked to be more substantial. I want traits that affects my overloads the same way thief traits affects their dodges.
Apparently streaming GW2 inspired cooking is a hit
Check out our recruitment video!

Thanks for explaining my feelings with fancy words Jerus.
What I don’t see many people commenting on is that the comparison of DPS is between a phalanx warrior and a necromancer.
You currently don’t take a warrior in your party for its DPS, you take it for amazing might, decent vuln application, EA and banners which translates into;
- +1070 power
- +8% crit chance
- +11.33% crit damage
- 5-7 vuln
for the entire group. All in all a group wide DPS boost of ~45%.
If you have more than one warrior in the group you cripple the team just as much as if you would have a necromancer. So what does it matter if necromancers have similar DPS to a warrior? A warrior wouldn’t have a slot in the meta if it wouldn’t bring all that DPS boost.
Why do we need a 28 minutes video filled with contempt and fallacy to come to a conclusion (most) people already share?
Or perhaps this is directed solely to delusional pugs, in which case I think it’s safe to say they won’t be reached with this approach.

Most high-end PvE guilds have a recruitment process with trials. It could be easier to simply apply to the guild you wish to join.
10-man raids confirmed and we’re pumped!
Oh, we’re ready ANet.
Shall we round up to 2h30m? Looks like close to that on the server timer
Looks like we’re getting a staff for the thief!
Hey,
Immortal Kingdom [KING], top fractal guild on EU is recruiting.

I’m hoping for leaderboards in GW1 style, based on performance with a weekly reset and a (small) reward for the players on top.
I have a short check list for you when you consider the second sigil to take next to Force (if it’s day) or Night (if it’s.. er.. night)
1, Slaying if possible
1.5, Force (if nighttime)
2, Strength – the second your might is not capped, str will always be stronger
3, Frailty – worthless if vuln is capped (glyph etc) and has a ramp up time
4, Accuracy – if you’re downscaled or no banner (lol y not?), +7% doesn’t scale down.
5, Air
Go down the list and take the highest number that fits your situation.
I feel sorry for Enko. He’s pushing the initiative to resolve issues but instead his efforts gets derailed into pointless arguments.
We’re having a meeting at 2nd of august. Collect your opinions and discuss it then where it can be constructive.
But anyways let’s not derail the main reason why we are here, we need a poll on the use of waypoints of SSD vs HDD users. Its a huge exploit to have SSDs.
What’s new with this now? Hasn’t this always been the case?
I fail to see the reason to create a poll over something no one had an issue over before. There’s also a lot more hardware than just SSD vs HDD that determines the loading time, potatoes will always have a disadvantage. If loading time is such a culprit you can minimise the graphics to cut it in less than half.
However, this is just my opinion.
I really hope your post wasn’t satire
Long since last, I know. But here’s another video , showing #2 in the series
Commander squad chat!?
I’m sure I’m missing a lot, but those that comes to mind that hasn’t been mentioned: KING, vC, qT, HeX, geek, iG, QQ.
I gave up on guilds long time ago and use the forum. You may wanna consider building a strong fl.
Now imagine ANet introducing alliances GW1 style. It would be amazing to keep guild identity but at the same time play with likeminded people
It’s only logical
