I have an idea. Wednesday Boss train smash. All WvW people go out into the world and kill bosses out of order on Wednsday. Do not let the pveholes get their fun . Maybe it could turn into a daily thing.

Not only would us WvW peeps actually get some gold, but we could repay them the fun that we are having thanks to them being in WvW.

WvW is still crap with no meaning to it. “Let them take the keep, we can take it back for more reward”. I am so sick of hearing this crap. You would have NEVER heard such a thing in Daoc. This game is a joke.

I have yet to hear that on my server.

Yet you fail to name that server, guild, or crowd you pall around with.

The WvW in this game could be amazing. Yet it’s not, and getting worse all the time.

I’m waiting for the new game by Bungie to come.

Play it for a couple weeks before the kitten hacks bring their cheats.

PPT is gone at this point. Pveholes want nothing to do with combat, helping the server, or defending.

WvW peeps just want the bags.

WvW peeps can’t get onto maps to get the bags cause of the Frostgorge pve train.

Pve scrubs even troll map chat to kitten off their server counter parts.

Bags. The only reason I still play this game.

Never underestimate a PVE crowd who thinks they will get a Gold reward for completing the Achieves in silver, in last place.

Man. BP PVE kitten trolls are in full force. They even hate the WvW BP crowd it seems.

Spazz, I don’t think you were even on BP yet that night. Either way, yes we did engage them several times on their own. The first time was after they had gone through MEND. We were doing troll build tuesdays and we two-shot alaric with class cannon killshot warriors. After that we put our real classes/builds on and found them several other times. Alaric fell back to the numbers argument. The same argument he uses when promoting SIC, he’ll talk about 15 v. 40 all day when he’s wiping pug zergs but backs out when he loses 10 v. 20. Regardless, I do respect SIC’s fighting heart… it has good people. But SIC really didn’t need another kitten talker, Alaric covers that role just fine.

Mend seems to have a history with SIC. It’s nothing personal with IOJ. I too can’t wait to Spike Karn/Mend (all in good fun buddy).

Core on the other hand, I will be thinking of IOJ with each spike I put through a Core member.

The best matchups, fights, competition, etc will be found here. That is a Victory in my mind, for all servers. All of Silver League (maybe not NSP) is going to have fun.

I don’t think SIC staked a single one of us. All of our encounters were edited out of your sick 1337 dubstep video. I don’t expect that to change the next time our paths cross. SIC feeds on pug zergs. They’re not that hard to wipe, no need to add some sick wubwub music to make it look cooler than it is. Really though, all the other SIC tags are just speed bumps on our way to the good brother Alaric.

You have yet to engage SIC on open ground before another guild, group, pugs, engaged us first. Core seems to be Cowards on teh fringe of the battle until they can win. Great strategy for sure, but very very bad. Sure flanking an engaged group is great for server ppt and all…

The rewards included in season 1 achievements should help to address this. Very specifically the ascended crafting materials. It is also the case, that we want people playing all the parts of the game, so there are always going to be optimal ways to get specific rewards and those may not always include WvW. We are building the whole of GW2 and we try and balance things across all the game types.

We will continue to make strides, however, to make WvW feel more rewarding, especially in this type of area.

Having server alliances gets talked up all the time on here as something that should happen more, yet when it actually happens players cry foul. I get angry when JQ and BG do it to us but its not cheating its just a part of the game.

Not only that, but split times zones. Server A &B have alliance against server C during this time. Server B & C have alliance against server A at this time.

It’s part of the game. Saboteurs, spies, backstabs, alliances, are all apart of war. What are we doing in WvW? it’s a 3 way war.

That was me, I was attempting to establish peaceful relations to determine your intentions. Once a BP mesmer attempted to yank me off the tower, I realized “……..they’re not here to sell us cookies”. Disbelief and panic spread through Lake like an IoJ exodus…..we were so sure it was cookies.

I have way too much of the Ascended mats taking up bank space. All from WvW, few guild missions. All in all I would love to sell it. I have no need for an Ascended weapon when it takes more Gold than I can get from WvW. And I refuse to go through map completion for a legendary.

Just a little advice for SBI.

Do not let this get you down. Collaboration between commanders from different servers is a normal thing in T1 matchups. SOme listen, some do not. Most just let it go and do what they want.

So while it is Very Lame imo, it does happen; let the issue make SBI stronger. You could ask the guild to leave SBI, or you could just keep on doing what it was that got you that high in ranks. Either way, do not let something like this cause strife. Shrug it off and enjoy the fights.

Sorry that the few SIC members on at these times wiped you multiple times, and helped build a WP in your HIlls. One SIC member won 5 gold for a long distance jump off of your hills bridge.

Most of SIC is not even on at these times or running as anything other than a few members with a new server.

Or run a build like hammer warrior and say that other players aren’t dodging. You do not find “good players” in WvW. You generally find those abusing the current FOTM and those abusing the old fotm that people have just come to accept and move on from. The Idea that a place with so much imbalance could actually have “good players” is nearly a joke.

TL;DR
There are some skilled players in WvW, but the idea that they run around in subpar builds being noble is a kittening joke.

There will always be counters to every build. Some players just cant take their loss and move on.

Factually no there isn’t. Thief DP does not have a hard counter. Not a real one if the thief is competent. In WvW mobility and aversion are the name of the game. Thief mobility is high enough out run most but this isn’t the issue. Unless stealth has some hard counter like something that pops you out of it forcibly there really isn’t a counter to it.

Now do not lose your mind over this because in the zerg v zerg environment we live is thief is one of the most useless classes out there outside of scouting. This isn’t up for debate there are too many classes better suited for big fights. So the real complaint is about roaming. I personally feel D/P gets too much but at the same time thief is forced into roaming and small group play to be truly effective. Unless Anet plans to change this no matter how OP thief my seem it’s utility is overall very limited.

i will wait for the obligatory I beat a DP thief roaming so it can be done counter. I respond in advance that thief wasn’t very good then.

I will wait for the obligatory SB cluster bomb is good in a big fight or dagger storm is good counter. I will say hammer is more useful as are engineers, necromancers, eles, and mesmers. Even rangers have better range by far.

Welcome to tier 1. Where a roaming groups is at least 30 ppl. you must have gotten hit by a guild group. A zerg would be a map queue with SOR.
