Bump for an awesome guild.
Might change some classes, but it seems to be a homogenization of specs than really adding anything different. Not going to change the play very much imo.
TL is active and fun. The grass is greener here.

Awesome guild on an awesome server.
If you’re looking for fun and a challenge, this is the place to be.
Would have liked to watch it, but I had to stop after 5 seconds because of the music.
Have you not heard of the “Mute” function yet?
Nice vid op, even if I live to kill TW. The quality is outstanding.
Who wants to cap point A or B? looking for open field fights is just that.
Is there going to be a “timeline” for the timezone coverage? So a month or year from now we can look back at the coverage for this week kinda thing?
Wow.
You got beat, get over it.
I like the site. Good work!
Who’s QQ’ing about BG being in T2?
I’m not one to complain about rewards for playing a game I enjoy, but the WvW rewards are terrible in comparison to the rest of the game. I stopped worrying about the rewards long ago and just play for the fun of it.
With that said, I do think it’s time to have a Badge Vendor in the home BL that sells Sigils, Runes, Ascended mats and/or armor/weapons, finishers exclusive to WvW, and make WvW armor and weapons salvageable; at least for runes and sigils if they are worried about converting badges to mats.
Bump for an awesome Community.
SoS Community is awesome. Very helpful and knowledgeable players still reside on SoS.
WvW players buy gems all the time for gold and server xfers. Skins are kinda meaningless.
Megaserver decimated any sense of server pride. No more yelling in Lions Arch for reinforcements when a keep is going down. Even PVE types would come help in some capacity.
This is how people got into WvW in the past. They hear the announcement in LA, and come in; there’s something exciting going on, everyone is on the same page and working towards the same goal: the experience is fun and there’s server pride/cohesion.
Now: new plaeyers come in by themselves, have no idea what’s going on….
run out of spawn a few times only to get one-shotted by gankers, and never return.Come to think of it, WvW players did way more than Anet has done to bring new players into WvW.
I remember before megaservers WvW players would hold events for PvE players in WvW to help get them interested in the game mode, people would spam the most active maps to rally on comm in LA before heading to a borderland to get people map completions and various things…
Some events that I remember personally were:
-The Pink Raid for breast cancer awareness, the whole zerg was pink.
-Map comletion raids
-Green arrow raids
-Commander siege fundraising events (before megaservers some servers had guilds with only the active commanders of the servers as members)
-The World Boss train was organised by some WvW commanders and would lead the World Boss train strait into WvW after the runs were done.If LA could go back to just being a server only thing, we might be able to get some server pride going again, it would also help strengthen the community for that server aswell as reopen the communication barriers that could get your community together to help eachother in WvW if call outs were made to map chat for help.
You bring back some memories. I’m trying to remember the Pink Raid, I believe that was on GOM before Zombieland left for JQ. I remember being in one, just can’t place where.
Great points you make.

I actually feel sorry for FA and SoS this week. Having been ravaged every week lately by YB they finally get to fight someone else and get owned by Blackgate instead.
Then, being on YB, it is nice to fight a different server, even if we are losing. Nothing below T1 has a realistic chance at taking YB on and winning.
Megaserver decimated any sense of server pride. No more yelling in Lions Arch for reinforcements when a keep is going down. Even PVE types would come help in some capacity.
I missed the memo that said mega-server would be applied to Lion’s Arch. I could have sworn LA was supposed to be left out when it was originally announced.
I’d have to look it up, but I do see lots of guild tags from other servers in LA. Used to be server specific. So It may still be server specific with cross realm guilds. I don’t really care enough to go look it up and will just accept the punt off the cliff if I was wrong.
Lion’s Arch is indeed on megaserver and has been for a long time. The WvW commanders would often send someone to LA to request reinforcements when hard pressed in WvW, which has now stopped. If they hadn’t changed LA in that last update I might even suggest switching back to worlds there.
Umm, isn’t it time for Mordremoth to visit LA and do some ‘custom restyling’?
No need to feel sorry for us, SoS is Happy as a clam, and FA was fielding more in EBG today than I’ve seen. BG is so much more fun to fight. The ppt is kinda meaningless.
I see my guild mates in LA, but I also see lots of others from guilds based on other servers. I mean, TW and CoSA standing side by side in LA is pretty strange. No calling for help in those circumstances like it used to be regardless of how it works now.
Won’t work at all except for one exception.
Population differences between servers (even those adjacent in ratings) are so wide that you’ll just have servers bouncing from steamrolling into first place one week and getting smashed to bits the following week. Meanwhile, the number two server stays number two every single week.
The one exception is when one server implodes or gets bandwagoned. This’ll move them into proper position faster. But is that worth unbalancing every matchup every week?
That’s why you reset all servers (and condense servers at this point) before implementing.
Condense NA to 9-12 servers, then go with the 1u1d.

After coming back to the game a little over a month ago, I can see huge difference in WvW. Not much of it is good.
I have played in t7 through to t1. Before leaving the game, there were more players in t6/7 than there are in t2 at the moment, and t6 was a ghost town in comparison upon my return. Hearing that T1 is not much better, seems like it’s passed time to condense servers.
Changes to the mechanics seem to have done nothing but allow the bigger numbers to win fights more often.

EOTM. Hmmm. All of those players could be in WvW.
I was enjoying my time back to the game, but in a little over a month it already is starting to feel boring.
I like the 1u1d idea.
15 Smores…. oops…
While the YB over stack does suck, it’s really not that bad. What really sucks is people leaving the tier, not playing WvW, or left game, because of it.
Even with that said, fun is still found each day I log in. Eventually YB calls in a blob of reinforcements to beat you down, but you rez and do it again.
I’m enjoying my stay here on SoS, just wish there was less drama, and more team work. Plenty of YB bags.
T2 blows monkeys. YB constantly is spawn camping, kitten and dancing on people. YB’s numbers are just dumb and is ruining the game. Anet meanwhile does nothing, why would they? They got their $$$$.
It’s not Anet’s doing.
I don’t find the game being ruined. More challenging sure, but I’m a bad player. At times I have been on and we had a spawn camp, we ran out and pushed them off. Even might have gotten at least 1 TW down in the process.
Just suicide necro more. XD
I plan on it!!!
Sometimes you gotta sacrifice yourself so teammates look good. XD
DS1 is awesome single target dps. Party with a guard for stabs.
Necro is 100% dps regardless of weapon. Axe has always been/still, viable.
yeah ok lol
Do tell…
Axe is viable if you’re the kind of person that uses Nomads gear.
Huh. How so?

Meh, YB blobs, but there is so much fun to be found between the YB blobs. Running havoc is a lot of fun. Sure YB will send a 35 man group to drop 3, but you rez and go another direction.
There are also some good fights to be found, lots of learning experiences, and many opportunities to step up and make a name for yourself.
Adapt to the challenge, don’t get discouraged. T2 is what it is, but it nowhere near as bad as it’s being made out to be in thread after thread, post after post.
I agree about adapting to the challenge though it depends upon when you play and what your interests are. Not everyone finds doing havoc “between the blobs” as fun.
I can’t argue with an old guild mate.
I do agree. My response wasn’t meant as an “End All,” just that there is plenty of fights, loot, bags, and fun (situational and individually perceived) to be found.

You gotta get the gear with the base stats of your choice, then pick a rune set that complements. Changing runes is basic in the game, and usually follows the current meta.
Depending on whether pve/wvw, there are different builds. Different guilds have certain specific builds.
The TP, or WvW, will get you different exotic gear with proper stats for your builds. Orr temples offer different gear stats at different temples.

I wish EotM would disappear in the Mists.
pW is growing daily and will become a solid force on SoS. Come join in the experience of helping build something great.
SoS will probably be full soon. Activity is picking back up, bags, and loot to be found in quantity.
Bump for an awesome server and a great guild.
Sea of Sorrows is the only open T2 server. You players on T8 and T7 that need a WvW change, SoS and pW is the place to get it.
pW is a great guild, and rhys is an awesome driver. I’m very happy to be a part of their team.

While I understand the frustrations from my fellow WvW brethren; as I left the game for over a year, you gotta chill sometimes.
This is the response, acknowledgement, and post that you have all been complaining baout not happening.
They’ve heard, they seem to have listened, maybe the third time is the charm.
I am actually excited to see that Anet has acknowledged us. If there is no follow through, I’ll be right there with you in calling out, or switching games all together.
Gonna bump and +1 for HODOR!!!!
LOL
I play the game for WvW, but need money for seige and food. So about 10% of my time is in World Bosses, Orr, or Silver Wastes.
If I could only play WvW I would. Because the PVE in this game is lame, and the old WoW ruined PVP after Wrath.
Blob fights are fun. SOmething about large scale battle and coming out on top.
Zerg busting is my passion in this game. Since my return it doesn’t seem as viable, but still can be done with a good dedicated guild.
SOme good advice, and some poopy poo pants in this thread.
New players should find a good guild on whichever server they land on.
If WvW is the main interest, certainly T6 and above realm. T5 and T6 have great guilds, and a good population for new players to learn what they like in WvW. You can zerg at certain times of day, roam all times of day, and learn a lot about WvW’s gaming structure.
From there, the more hardcore will migrate up, the rest will enjoy playing the game where they’re at.
This was my first real week back after a year+ break from the game. I was kinda shocked to see our servers down the list, but it didn’t matter. There was some great fights to be found, and I had my share of repair bills. Lots of fun to be found across the maps. Thank You for fights!

GoM was my original server. It was a blast back then running with Server Police as a pug, the joining Zombieland. Oh the Memories…
Nice to see GoM doing well this week.
What what…
should know the rest of that song.
Maybe it’s working as intended? Hmmm…
Just logged in to show support.
WvW was all I really enjoyed in this game. Got sick of the dev crap when it comes to WvW, and took well over a year off.
I see it hasn’t changed much.
I think that everybody have figure out that whole league is just smoke screen try to hide fact that www is still same kitten. League doesn’t make me work harder or give me more motivation to play. WWW is just weird mess where casual and hardcore players run around and rage eachother because nobody actually don’t know what is point of whole kitten and how it should be played.
The wvw season is a great step in the right direction. You have an incentive to finish 1st and second now. None of this “Oh lets just focus on fights,” mentality.
Also, it has brought more people into the mix, whether good or bad, and as well as given old timers stuff to do, and actual achievements that can be achieved before 2032.
Getting everyone organized will be a task, but it is doable. The only people I can really see having a bad time with the season, are the t1 servers, since it is hard for them to even get to play.
I think we all need to give it a chance. The season is gonna happen, let it play out, and then near the end of it leave some feedback so anet can adjust it’s future wvw policies. Quit the knee jerk reactions, they don’t benefit anyone.
Spoken like a true Frostgorge Commander.
I’ve never entered a jumping puzzle, but I knew that little tid bit of info.
Alright, let’s look at things on the bright side. If you want bags and your lag is too horrendous to do anything, you can take a couple folks incl. a mesmer and build arrow carts on top of the arena in Obsidian Sanctum. You’ll be farming carebears for hours, while porting your own to your location.
And you’ve played WvW for how long?
